Scorpius' nose is bleeding. He thinks it might be broken, but he's going to have a lot more broken if he gets sent to jail, so he picks up speed, running past guards, holding on tight to the bag in his hand.

"Drive," he demands, as soon as he's slipped into the car.

Albus, freaking Albus, being freaking perfect, presses hard on the gas, and then they're off. Scorpius usually would keep a pack of tissues in his car, but this isn't their car, so it takes him a while to finally find a box of tissues and press one up his nose.

"Is it broken?" Albus asks, sparing him a glance before accelerating.

"Probably," Scorpius says. He glances behind them, and miraculously, there doesn't seem to be anyone on their tail. "You can slow down," he tells Albus. "I don't think they're following us."

Albus gives a short nod and slows down. They both know that going faster is more likely to attract attention, and that's the last thing they need right now.

"You're my favorite," Scorpius says in thanks, as he always does. His heart is thrumming as his nose slowly stops bleeding, and now that he's relatively safe, he has a moment to think.

"Nah, you," Albus replies and Scorpius grins, despite the dull pain in his nose.

"Where are we going, exactly?" Albus asks, glancing over at Scorpius again before peering at the rearview mirror to look for anyone behind him.

"We need to ditch this car," Scorpius says, looking down at the bag in his lap. "Let's get to a busy parking lot and we'll hot wire another one."

"Got it," Albus says, both eyes on the road as he switches lanes. They ride in silence for a bit, and Scorpius runs his hands over the latest bag of coins he's managed to steal.

The peace doesn't last long, though; there are the sounds of sirens behind them.

Albus steps on the gas.
