Chapter 9: Welcome to the Jungle Part 2
Sora, Sonic, and the gang have left Angel Island and returns to the jungle. Along the way, they've encountered...
Sora: HEARTLESS!
The Heartless are surrounding a big round purple cat with white cheeks and tummy, wearing a brown belt, brown shoes, and brown gloves. He was holding a green frog with him. The Heartless are blue monkeys called Powerwilds.
Dizzy: Who that?
Tails: That's Big the Cat and Froggy. They are in danger!
Sora: Well, Let's go help them out!
Sora and the gang quickly finished off the Heartless and saved Big and Froggy.
Big: Thank you for saving me and Froggy.
Sonic: No problem. Just get outta here.
Big and Froggy left while Sora and the gang proceeds. Along the way, they saw the Heartless surrounding a green crocodile, a magenta chameleon, and a bee.
Knuckles: That's Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon, and Charmy the Bee.
Sora and the gang helps Vector and his gang defeat the Heartless.
Vector: Thanks for saving us.
Espio: We could've taken them out ourselves.
Plucky: Well, you're all safe now.
Charmy: Let's get outta here before those creatures attack again!
The trio left while Sora and the gang proceeds. Later, they saw the Heartless attack a white bat with cream-colored cheeks and arms, wearing a black sleeveless suit, long white gloves, and white boots.
Tails: That's Rouge the Bat.
Sora: She's in danger! We better help her!
?: CHAOS SPEAR!
Suddenly, red energy spears came and wipes out the Heartless. A shadowy figure came and rescues Rouge.
Everyone: Shadow!
Rouge: Thanks, Shadow.
Shadow: No problem. Just find a safe place.
Rouge. OK. Be careful, Shadow.
She left to find a safe place while Sora and gang went forward with Shadow tagging along.
Dizzy: Why Shadow tag along? We thought Shadow don't like us.
Shadow: Because you'll need my help defeating these creatures.
?: And you'll need all the help you can get, because this time, you're all going down!
Plucky: Who's that?
Sonic: Oh no! Not again!
Metal Sonic came out from one of the trees.
Metal Sonic: Hello again, Sonic.
Everyone: METAL SONIC!
Sonic: There's no reason to fight you again! I've beaten you twice and I doubt you can win again!
Metal Sonic: Oh, but this time, I'll defeat you with this.
He pulls out a green emerald. Sonic and his friends immediately recognizes it.
Sonic, Shadow, Tails, & Knuckles: The Chaos Emerald!
Sora: What's a Chaos Emerald?
Tails: It's a mysterious jewel with unlimited power.
Metal Sonic: Once I use the Chaos Emerald, you'll all be destroyed!
He uses the Chaos Emerald to glow with energy and increase his powers.
Shadow: Be careful, guys. I can sense his powers rising.
Once the glow dies down, Metal Sonic has changed his appearance. He is now bulkier and has white stripes on his head.
Metal Sonic: I AM NOW NEO METAL SONIC!
Sora: He looks a lot tougher now!
Sonic: Be careful, everybody!
Neo Metal Sonic began charging at Sora and sends him flying to a tree. Everyone attacks Neo Metal Sonic, but he blocks all of their attacks with his black shield. Plucky and Dizzy charges at Neo Metal Sonic, but he fires his chest blaster at them. He then uses Spin Dash on Knuckles and Tails, sending them flying across the battlefield. He then glows with red energy.
Neo Metal Sonic: CHAOS...BLAST!
He unleashes an explosion which sent everyone flying in opposite directions.
Dizzy: OW! Big mean robot gave poor Dizzy boo-boo.
Neo Metal Sonic then charges at Knuckles and Tails and sends them flying in the air. He activates his chest blaster and shoots them down. He then proceeds to Spin Dash at Plucky and Dizzy and knocks them out too.
Sora: Man, he is too strong!
Sonic: That Chaos Emerald gave him an extra boost!
Shadow: There is only one way to defeat him.
Shadow then pulls out a red emerald.
Sora: What is that?
Sonic: That's also a Chaos Emerald.
Sora: That's an emerald? But I thought emeralds are suppose to be green.
Sonic: No time to talk about logic, kid. We need to beat Metal Sonic right now!
Shadow: Touch the Chaos Emerald and you'll get an extra boost in power.
Sora and Sonic did what they are told and touched the emerald. The emerald gave Sora, Sonic, and Shadow an extra boost in power.
Sora: I feel a lot stronger now!
Sonic: Now we're even with old chrome dome here!
Shadow: Let's take him out!
Neo Metal Sonic: You may have a boost with your Chaos Emerald, but you're still no match for me!
Sora: We'll see about that!
Sora clashes with Neo Metal Sonic and they fought evenly. Sonic and Shadow attacks Neo Metal Sonic from behind, doing some serious damage. Sora proceeds to slash him while he is down. All of the sudden, Neo Metal Sonic starts de-powering.
Neo Metal Sonic: NO! What's happening to my powers?
Neo Metal Sonic reverts back to his normal self. He then drops the green Chaos Emerald. Sonic grabs it from Metal Sonic.
Sonic: Now he's a lot weaker! Let's finish him, Shadow!
Shadow: Got it!
Sonic and Shadow activates their Lightspeed Attacks and finished off Metal Sonic. His eyes began to dim out.
Metal Sonic: No...defeated...again...
He immediately dies out.
Sora: Whew! That was a really tough battle.
Plucky: Well, I'm glad that's finally over.
Dizzy: We need to go back to workshop.
Sonic: Right! Let's hurry!
Back at Tails' Workshop, the cream-colored rabbit and her light blue creature came running in and hugs Amy.
Amy: What's the matter, Cream?
Cream: Those scary black creatures are attacking!
Cream's pet: Chao! Chao!
All of a sudden, Eggman came walking in.
Eggman: Hehehehehe. Amy, Cream, Cheese.
Amy & Cream: EGGMAN!
Eggman: I suggest you three come with me. You'll be the perfect bait for Sonic and his friends.
Amy: NO WAY! We would never come with you!
Eggman: Very well then. If you don't come with me, I'll take you girls by force.
He snaps his fingers and Heartless appeared. Meanwhile, Sora and Sonic returns to the workshop, only to find the place in ruins.
Tails: NO! My workshop!
Sora: What happened?
Plucky: It looks like something tore through this place.
Sonic looks around all worried.
Sonic: AMY! Where are you?
He then looks down in sadness. Sora walks up to him.
Sora: Don't worry, Sonic. We'll find her.
Sonic: You will?
Sora nods. Suddenly, a black robot came in with a bag.
Tails: Bokkun!
Bokkun: Message for you!
He sent them a T.V. which reveals Eggman.
Everyone: EGGMAN!
Eggman: Sonic, I have kidnapped Amy and taken her to my base. While you were gone, I have also taken the Master Emerald.
Knuckles: WHAT? He took the Master Emerald? Now he's gone too far!
Sonic: Knuckles, You should have guarded the Master Emerald instead of coming with us. What an idiot.
Knuckles: Shut up, Sonic!
Eggman: If you wanted to see your beloved Amy, you better come to my base and hand over the Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic:(Sweatdrops)I keep telling everyone. Amy's a friend, not my girlfriend.
Eggman: And now, this message will explode in 10 seconds. HAHAHAHAHA!
All of a sudden, the T.V. starts to glow.
Sonic: Everybody! Hide under something!
Sora: Why?
Tails: The message is gonna explode!
Everybody except Plucky went and hide under a furniture.
Sora: Plucky, you better hide!
Plucky: Why? I bet this bomb thing is a prank. I doubt it's gonna explode.
All of a sudden, the T.V. explodes and Bokkun flew off. The smoke dies down to reveal Plucky all covered in ashes.
Sora: Next time, Plucky. You better listen to what somebody tells you.
Sonic: We better hurry up and save Amy!
Knuckles: Yes, and reclaim the Master Emerald!
The gang left the workshop and ran all the way through the jungle, fighting Heartless along the way. They made it all the way through the jungle to find a secret base with spotlights all over it.
Dizzy: What that?
Sonic: That's Eggman's base.
Tails: Amy and the Master Emerald must be inside!
Sora: Well, let's go!
The gang enters the base. Inside the base, they saw a prison cell holding Amy, Cream, and Cheese. The cell was being guarded by the Heartless.
Amy: SONIC!
Sonic: Amy! Cream! Cheese!
Sora: We have to defeat the Heartless first!
The gang quickly took down the Heartless and Sonic ran to the cell, but got electrocuted.
Amy: SONIC!
Sora ran to Sonic.
Sora: Sonic! are you OK?
Sonic: I'm fine, but this cell is electrified.
Tails: Sonic, there's a power generator here.
He points to the generator that appears to be powering the cell.
Sora: We have to do something about it!
Plucky: No problem! Leave it to me!
Plucky uses Thunder to destroy the generator. The cell immediately opens and Amy ran up to Sonic, hugging him.
Amy: SONIC! Thank you for rescuing me!
Sonic: WHOA! Amy, not too close!
Cream then ran up to Plucky and hugs him.
Cream: Oh, Mr. Duck! Thank you for freeing me and Amy!
Plucky: Whoa there! Take it easy!
Knuckles: Now that we freed the girls, we must get back the Master Emerald.
Amy: Be careful, Sonic.
She then let's go of Sonic as the gang proceeds much deeper in the base. As the gang reaches the center of the base, they encountered a giant red robot that looks like Eggman being protected by the Heartless.
Sora: More Heartless!
Suddenly, Everyone hears a laugh coming from the robot. The robot's top opens up, revealing Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe.
Sora: EGGMAN!
Shadow: That's not Eggman!
Sonic: What do you mean? It's the same egghead we've always fought!
Shadow: I know, but I can't sense his heart.
Dizzy: Is he Heartless?
Eggman: Go, my Heartless!
The Heartless charged at our heroes, but they all got wiped out the same.
Sonic: Give it up, Eggman! You know you can't win!
Eggman waves his finger.
Eggman: Ah ah ah! You may have defeated my Heartless, but I'll have the upper hand!
Sora: Like how?
Eggman: With this!
He pressed a button, opening up the robot's chest, revealing a giant emerald.
Knuckles: The Master Emerald!
Eggman: With the Master Emerald, I will destroy you and take over the world!
Sora: We better work together, guys!
Sonic: I'm with you, Sora!
The gang proceeds to attack the Death Egg Robot. The robot attempts to jump on them, but missed. Sonic and Shadow uses their Homing Attacks on the robot's back. Sora and Plucky uses Thunder to shock the robot. Tails uses his Arm Cannon, Knuckles punches the robot, and Dizzy uses his Spin Attack. The robot launches it's arms on the heroes, but they dodged them easily and continued to attack the robot.
Decoe: They are doing too much damage to the robot!
Bocoe: At this rate, we'll lose to them again!
Eggman: Not if we use the Master Emerald's power!
Eggman pressed the button, opening the chest, and charging up the Master Emerald. The Master Emerald then fires a massive beam, hitting everyone. Only Sora, Sonic, and Shadow were left standing. Eggman laughs maniacally.
Eggman: HAHAHAHAHA! You guys are no match for me!
Sora: That blast was too powerful!
Sonic: There's one way we can defeat this guy.
Shadow: We need to use the powers of all the Chaos Emeralds.
Suddenly, all seven Chaos Emeralds appeared, surrounding Sonic and Shadow. They absorbed the emeralds powers, changing their appearances. They are now golden-colored hedgehogs named Super Sonic and Super Shadow.
Sora: Wow! That was incredible!
Sonic: Sora! Shadow! Let's finish this!
Eggman: You fools! The Master Emerald is far more powerful than the Chaos Emeralds!
Shadow: We'll see about that.
Sonic, Shadow, and Sora all charged at the Death Egg Robot. The robot fires it's beam again, but Sonic and Shadow blocks it. Sonic and Shadow unleashed their Lightspeed Attacks while Sora uses the Sonic Blade attack, doing some serious damage to the robot.
Eggman: Grr! Activate the rocket arms!
Decoe & Bocoe: Yes sir!
The Death Egg Robot tried to launch it's arms again, but Shadow uses Chaos Spear to destroy them. The robot then opens it's chest and charges the Master Emerald again, but Sonic pulls the emerald out of the robot.
Eggman: NO! My Master Emerald!
Sonic returns the Master Emerald back to Knuckles. Sora, Sonic, and Shadow proceeds to finish off the Death Egg Robot using Lightspeed Attack and Sonic Blade attack combo. The robot starts to short circuit.
Decoe: I have a bad feeling about this!
Bocoe: We have lost the Master Emerald and now this robot is about to explode!
Eggman: CURSE YOU, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!
The Death Egg Robot explodes, leaving no trace of Eggman and his robots. Suddenly, the whole base starts to shake.
Dizzy: What going on?
Tails: The whole base is shaking! It's going to explode!
Plucky: We better get outta here!
Sonic: Don't worry! Me and Shadow will teleport all of you out!
Shadow: Everybody, stick together!
Everybody held on to each other as Sonic and Shadow uses the Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic & Shadow: CHAOS CONTROL!
Sonic and Shadow teleports everyone including the Master Emerald out of the base as it explodes. Everyone was teleported back to the jungle in front of the ruins. Sonic and Shadow returns to their normal forms. Amy and Cream ran up to our heroes.
Amy: SONIC!
She ran up to Sonic and hugs him again.
Sonic: AHH! Amy! Personal space please!
Amy: Oh, Sonic! You're my hero again!
Everyone laughs as Tails finally spoke up.
Tails: Well, now that's over with, Eggman won't be bothering us again. I do feel kinda sorry for him though.
Plucky: Me too. He gave up his heart just to get power. And that's wrong.
Suddenly, a scroll appears from the sky. Plucky grabs it and starts to read it.
Though you are down and the scars you may feel, it shall be gone with the power to heal.
His staff begins to glow and a green wave appears over everyone, healing them.
Plucky: We've just learned the Cure spell. It's heals an ally whenever they're injured.
Suddenly, the ground starts to shake. After the shaking stops, it is revealed that the ruins has opened it's entrance.
Knuckles: The Mystic Ruins has opened.
Sonic: We should go in.
Everybody went inside the ruins. Inside the ruins is a room with a mural of a creature.
Sora: What is that picture on the wall?
Knuckles: It's the picture of Perfect Chaos. It was an ancient god of this world.
The wall begins glowing. Sonic then spoke up.
Sonic: I know where Sora's friends are.
Sora: You do?
Sonic: Well...kinda. Your friends are inside your heart. No matter where you go, you can always find them. It's in all of us.
Sora: So that's what you meant.
Sonic: People who are good and have friends have the same heart. Eggman lost his heart because he has no friends. If you have no heart, you can't see your friends, and if you don't have a heart, you don't have any friends.
Sora and Plucky turns to each other
Sora: Hey, Plucky. Sorry about what I said earlier.
Plucky: I'm sorry for the mean things I said too.
Dizzy jumps in and puts his arms around Sora and Plucky.
Dizzy: Yeah! All for one and one for all, right?
Shadow then walks up the the three.
Shadow: I hate to admit it, but you three are much better than I expected.
The wall begins to glow and Sora walks up to it. There is a Keyhole glowing on the wall.
Plucky: Is that a Keyhole?
Sora: That's weird. They usually appear on doors.
His Keyblade then appears and fires a beam at the Keyhole, causing it to disappear with a click, and dropping a piece of something. Plucky and Dizzy both observed it.
Plucky: It's a Gummi.
Dizzy: But it not Buster's.
Plucky: We'll take it just in case.
He picks up the Gummi Block and puts it in his pocket. Suddenly, Cream walks up to him.
Cream: Hello, Mr. Duck. I think you're cute.
She then grabs Plucky's arm.
Amy: It looks like somebody's got a new admirer.
Plucky: WHAT? No way! Shirley would kill me!
Everyone laughs while Plucky sweatdrops. Back at the dark lair with the monitor, the villains were looking at our heroes.
Myotismon: What happened? Surely that mad scientist could have finished them off.
Ganondorf: Yes. However, Dr. Eggman's lust for power got the best of him. In the end, it was his own carelessness and misuse of power that caused his downfall.
Dr. Wily: Yes, he got chomped instead!
Ganondorf: I gave him power and he misused it. What a fool! What's this world coming to?
Myotismon: Don't you get it? A weak-hearted fool like him never stood a chance against the Heartless. But that boy with the key is another story. He found one of the Keyholes. If he keeps finding them-
Ganondorf: Do I look worried? Relax, it will take him a million years to find them all. Besides, he's unaware of our other plans that will help us rule all worlds.
Frieza: Yes, the Princesses. One of our own allies said he's found one of them.
Ganondorf: Very good, my alien friend. Did you figure that out all by yourself, or did you need your mommy to help you?
Frieza: How dare you challenge my intelligence! I shall come over here and destroy you!
Ganondorf:(Sarcasm)Ooh, I'm so scared! What are you going to do? Attack me with your scouter or your magical energy beams?
He broke into laugher. Frieza was about to fire his Death Beam, but Myotismon held him back by grabbing his arm.
Dedede: Maybe we should get back down to business, gentlemen.
Ganondorf: Yes. Now back to the Princesses. They are falling into our hands, one by one.
The monitor then shows a teenage girl with long purple hair and wearing a white dress.
Ganondorf: Speaking of which...Here's one of them.
Back at Tails' Workshop, everyone cleans up the mess that Eggman made. After they are done, Sora and his friends got ready to go.
Sonic: Are you leaving already?
Sora: I'm afraid so, but we'll always remember you guys.
Amy: Where's your ship anyway?
Plucky: I don't know, but we'll find it eventually.
Sora: Sonic, you take care of things in your world.
Sonic: Thanks, Sora.
Sora and Sonic shook hands. As they released their hands, Sora saw a Keychain that looks like a blue hedgehog.
Sora: What's this?
Plucky: I think it's called a Keychain.
Sonic: I found it one day and it looks like it can be used for your Keyblade. It's called the Super Sonic Keychain.
Dizzy: Put Keychain on Keyblade and see what happens.
Sora puts the Keychain on his Keyblade and it transforms into a longer Keyblade with a blue sawblade on the end.
Sora: Wow! My Keyblade changed!
Plucky: Whenever you equip a new Keychain, it changes the Keyblade and makes you stronger.
Sora: I guess it could come in handy. Let's go!
The group said their good-byes to Sonic and his friends and left. A few minutes later, the Gummi Ship appears.
Sweetie: Sora! Plucky! Dizzy! You're all OK! We've been looking all over for you!
Plucky: If it wasn't for Sonic the Hedgehog, we would've been devoured by Heartless.
Sneezer: Very funny, Plucky. Let's get outta here.
The group boards the ship and leaves Mystic Ruins. Sora and gang were discussing the Gummi Block they found.
Sora: This Gummi Block looks very different from the others. I wonder what it's used for?
Dizzy: Maybe Leon will know.
Plucky: Maybe. Let's go back to Traverse Town and check.
Sweetie: We might have to stop by another world first. It's northwest of here.
Sora: OK. Can I pilot this time?
Plucky: What? No way! Not after what you did last time!
Sora: Come on, I'm the Keyblade Master!
Plucky: I don't care if you're the King of England, the answer is NO!
Sora: YES!
Plucky: NO!
Sora: YES!
Plucky: NO!
Sora: NO!
Plucky: Don't pull another Bugs Bunny on me!
Sora: I wasn't!
Plucky: Was too!
Sora: Was not!
Plucky: Was too!
Sora: Was not!
As Sora and Plucky continues arguing, Dizzy looks out the window and rolls his eyes.
Dizzy: Here we go again.
