Chapter 11: Sanctuary Battle Part 2
Sora, Seiya, and the rest of the gang returns to the Pope's Temple to bring back the evidence. Sora and Seiya went up the stand.
Ares: You came back?
Sora: Yes, we came back with the evidence.
Ares: Then show me what you've found.
The four Bronze Saints brought the four presents.
Ares: That's certainly alot of evidence. But I'm still not impressed.
He then turns to Aiolia.
Ares: Now bring forth my evidence.
Aiolia places a fifth one on the ground. The Pope then mixed the presents.
Ares: Now choose the one you wish to present. That will decide who's guilty based on the evidence. If you, your friends, or Saori are chosen, you lose and will all suffer slow and painful deaths. But if it's not all of the above, you win, which I doubt.
Sora: WHAT? But we went through the trouble of collecting them!
Ares: If you don't choose, you will all be executed!
Seiya: OK! We'll play your game!
Ares: Then choose one box!
Plucky: Kid, our future lies in your hands. Pick the wrong box and we're finished.
Saori: I'm counting on you, Seiya and Sora.
Sora: We'll do our best.
Sora and Seiya walks up to the boxes and observes them.
Sora: Which one should we choose, Seiya?
Seiya: I don't know, Sora. If we pick the wrong one, we'll all be executed.
Suddenly, a voice whispers to Sora.
Pick the one on the far right.
Sora: That voice again.
Seiya: What voice?
Sora: Nothing! We'll pick the far right box.
He points to the far right box.
Ares: Are you certain? You don't get a second chance.
Sora: I'm certain that's the box.
Ares: Then let's see who the culprit is.
The box opens and a Heartless came out. Ares' eyes widened and was in shock.
Ares: WHAT? That's impossible!
Everybody but Ares cheers.
Dizzy: Way to go, Sora and Seiya!
Hyoga: You did Saori a big favor!
Seiya: There's your proof! Saori's innocent! Now let her go!.
Ares: GRR! ENOUGH! I make the rules here! Anyone who defies me is guilty!
Plucky: What? That's not fair!
Shiryu: Yeah, we've won fair and square!
Aiolia: Pope, we should let Saori go!
Ares: I don't care if they win! I will have them all executed! HEARTLESS!
The Soldiers appeared. A tower appears in the middle of the room. A Soldier pulls the lever down. The cage containing Saori was wrapped in a curtain and raised up to a ceiling.
Seiya: Sora, me and my friends will take care of the Heartless! You, Plucky, and Dizzy will take care of the tower and release Saori!
Sora: Right!
Ares: ATTACK!
Seiya uses the Pegasus Meteor Fist to hit a bunch of Heartless with multiple energy spheres at once. Hyoga uses Diamond Dust to freeze the Heartless with his freezing fist. Shiryu uses the Rozan Rising Dragon, releasing a dragon-like energy from his fist to send the Heartless up the air. Shun uses the Nebula Chains to hit the Heartless with his pink electric chains. Ikki uses the Phoenix Illusion Fist to burn the Heartless with his flaming fist. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy focused on the tower, slowly destroying it. After the tower was destroyed, the cage that contains Saori was lowered to the ground. Seiya ran up to the cage and opens the curtain, only to find it empty.
Seiya: SAORI!
Suddenly, everyone hears an evil laugh. They all looked up and saw Ares laughing.
Ares: HAHAHAHAHA! Everything was going according to plan!
Aiolia: What are you talking about, Ares?
Ares: I am not really Ares nor am I really the Pope.
Shun: If your not a Pope, then who are you?
Ares then took off his helmet to reveal a man with long blue hair.
Man: I am Gemini Saga, one of the Gold Saints of Athena. I was only pretending to be Pope because I killed the real Pope.
Sora: What was he talking about?
Aiolia walks up to the gang.
Aiolia: Our last Pope was Shion. The role of the Pope was to prepare for the return of Athena.
Saga: I kidnapped Saori because I knew she was the reincarnation of Athena. I took the guise of the Pope, so I could kill her while she was only a baby.
Aiolia: So you've tricked all of us! You told us to capture Saori because you told us she was a fake, but you knew she was really Athena! You also must have been responsible for my brother's death!
Seiya: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SAORI?
Saga: I have delivered her to Lord Ganondorf.
Shun: I thought you were gonna kill her!
Saga: That was only a trick to fool you Bronze Saints from understanding my true motives.
Sora: Who's Ganondorf? And what are your motives?
Saga: You won't live long enough to know our plans for world domination. TRICKMASTER!
A giant creature came down from the ceiling. It is a pink and purple, skinny and tall, five-headed Heartless with two matches.
Seiya: What is that thing?
Saga: It is called Trickmaster. It will make short work of you fools.
Sora: We gotta work together to take that thing down.
Seiya: Right, Sora!
Ikki uses Phoenix Flaming Wings to fly up in the air, gather up energy, and unleash it in a flaming whirlwind. Unfortunately, that lit up the Trickmaster's matches and it proceeds to attack everyone with it's matches.
Plucky: Way to go, Ikki! You helped that thing!
Ikki: Don't blame me! I didn't know that lights up it's matches.
Seiya: I think it's best that you sit this one out, buddy.
Ikki: I'm not gonna let you guys have all the fun!
Sora: Seiya's right! You'll only make that thing stronger!
Ikki: Hmph, whatever.
Ikki stood by the sidelines while everybody battles Trickmaster. Shun uses the Nebula Storm to unleash a powerful pink thunder wave and shocks the Heartless. Shiryu uses the Rozan Rising Dragon on the Heartless. Hyoga uses the Aurora Execution to create a giant blizzard, freezing the Heartless, and took out the flames on it's weapons. Seiya uses the Pegasus Comet Fist to charge up his energy and unleash it into a giant energy sphere on the Heartless. Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick on the Heartless while Sora and Plucky did a Blizzard combo. After taking so much damage, the Heartless fell down and fades away with a heart coming out of it.
Saga: NO! How is that possible?
Sora: We did it!
Seiya: Give it up, Saga! We won fair and square!
Saga: NEVER! If I can't take you out with the Heartless, I'll take you out MYSELF!
Saga then transforms to reveal himself wearing a golden armor. His hair changes from blue to silver and his eyes glowed red.
Aiolia: Be careful, guys! He's a very powerful Gold Saint!
Sora: No problem! We can all take him out together!
Saga: NO! I will send you all to ANOTHER DIMENSION!
He unleashes his energy and sends Aiolia and four Bronze Saints into another dimension. Only Sora, Seiya, Plucky, and Dizzy avoids his attack.
Dizzy: What happen to others?
Seiya: He sent them to another dimension.
Plucky:(Whimpers)Well, it's all nice knowing you, guys.
He attempts to walk away, but Sora and Dizzy grabs him.
Sora: We must work together to defeat him!
Saga: If you wanna see your friends again, you'll have to defeat me first.
Seiya: Bring it on!
Sora and Seiya charges forward to attack Saga, but he dodges them. He moves around the battlefield at an incredible speed.
Sora: Wow! He's fast!
Seiya: He's a Gold Saint. They move incredibly fast.
Plucky and Dizzy proceeds to attack Saga, but he uses his Telekinesis to send them flying to the ceiling. Sora and Seiya proceeds to attack Saga, but he counters with flurries of punches and kicks. He then grabs Sora and Seiya and threw them up to Plucky and Dizzy. They all fell down to the ground. Sora and Seiya weakly got up.
Sora: He's way too strong!
Seiya: There's only one way to defeat him.
Seiya got up and reaches out his hand.
Seiya: COME, SAGITTARIUS ARMOR!
A light shines and suddenly came a golden armor shaped like a centaur wielding a bow. The armor replaces the Pegasus Armor that was on Seiya. He now wears the golden armor with golden wings. He is now Sagittarius Seiya.
Sora: Wow! That was incredible!
Seiya: Now we're evenly matched, Saga!
Saga: Fool! You barely even know how to use that thing! How could a rookie like you defeat a master like me?
Seiya: It takes more than experience to defeat you! It takes a power of friendship!
Saga: Very well! Let's see how far friendship can take you!
Seiya and Saga clashed once again. This time, they're both evenly matched in speed and power. Saga attempts to use his Telekinesis, but Seiya dodges it and starts using his Atomic Thunderbolt, sending flurries of punches at Saga, doing some serious damage.
Seiya: Now it's your turn, Sora!
Sora uses the Sonic Blade to charge at Saga multiple times, doing alot of damage. Plucky uses Blizzard to freeze Saga in place while Dizzy uses his Spin Attack. They all did some serious damage to Saga, who was panting heavily.
Saga: NO! I will not be defeated! I will defeat you all with my most powerful attack! GALAXIAN EXPLOSION!
Saga then concentrates his energy between his hands. He then unleashes that energy into a bunch of spheres that looks like small planets. The attack creates a massive explosion that engulfs the room.
Saga: HAHAHAHAHA! Nobody can survive that attack!
?: Guess again, Saga!
Saga: WHAT?
He looks up to see Seiya, Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy up in the air.
Saga: But how? That's impossible! Nobody can survive my ultimate attack!
Seiya: It takes alot more than brute strength to defeat me, Saga!
Sora: Seiya's right! It takes the power of friendship!
Seiya then pulls out the Bow of Sagittarius and charges energy at the tip of the arrow.
Seiya: SAGITTARIUS ARROW!
He then released the arrow and it struck Saga at the chest. Saga then bends his knees as his hair changes back to blue and his eyes returned to normal.
Saga: Athena...please...forgive me.
He then fell down dead. His body vanishes into darkness. Suddenly, the other Saints returned from an alternate dimension.
Hyoga: What happened?
Aiolia: Saga must have been defeated. That means we're free.
Everybody runs to Sora, Seiya, and the rest of the gang.
Shiryu: You did great, Seiya!
Seiya: Yeah, but we lost Saori.
Sora: Don't worry. We'll find her.
Sora puts his hands on Seiya's shoulder. Plucky and Dizzy then walks up to Ikki.
Plucky: We defeated Saga, so please admit that we're awesome!
Ikki: OK, I'll admit it. You three did good.
Dizzy: YAY! Dizzy like compliment!
Suddenly, Sora's Keyblade starts shining. It's pointing to the end of the temple by the tall podium.
Seiya: What's wrong, Sora?
Sora: My Keyblade is pointing to the end of the temple.
Everybody follows Sora to the outside of the temple which leads to a statue.
Dizzy: What was that?
Aiolia: It's the Statue of Athena.
Shun: But why would the Keyblade point to the statue?
Suddenly, a Keyhole appears on the pedestal of the statue.
Sora: It's another Keyhole!
Dizzy: But what is Keyhole doing there?
Sora summons his Keyblade and fires a beam at the Keyhole. A click was heard and the Keyhole disappears with a Gummi Block popping out.
Plucky: Another Gummi Block, just like the one we found at Mystic Ruins. I'll hold onto it, so we can show it to Leon.
Eagle Marin then appears.
Marin: You did great, Seiya. You and Sora are both heroes.
Seiya: Yeah, but what about Saori? Will I never see her again?
Marin: I'm afraid she's not here in this world. The Shadows have taken her.
Seiya then looks down with depression. Sora walks up to him.
Sora: Don't worry, Seiya. I'll find her.
Seiya then looks up at Sora.
Seiya: You will?
Sora: I'll search for Saori and I'll promise to bring her back.
Plucky: Sora's right. We might find her in another world.
Seiya: Thanks, Sora. I knew I could count on you.
Sora and Seiya both shook hands. After they released their hands, Sora now carries a Keychain that looks like a Pegasus.
Sora: What is that?
Seiya: It's called a Pegasus Fantasy. It might go great with your Keyblade.
Sora replaces his old Keychain with the new one. The Keyblade now has a Pegasus for a tooth.
Sora: Wow! How cool. Thanks, Seiya.
Seiya: You're welcome.
The Gummi Ship soon appears to pick up Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy.
Sora: It was nice knowing you, Seiya. Good-bye!
Seiya: Take care. Be sure to bring back Saori.
Sora and gang waves back to Seiya and his friends as they boarded the Gummi Ship. The ship then makes it's way back to Traverse Town which is southwest of Saint Sanctuary.
That's it for chapter 11. Next time, Sora and the gang returns to Traverse Town.
