Yang POV
Neptune and I road Bumblebee down the street having left Junior's without any helpful information on Torchwick. We were on our way to meet up with Ruby and Weiss at the CCTS. The traffic light turned red and the two of us waited for it to change and watched the pedestrians cross the street. It was then that I saw a familiar face on the crosswalk. (Y/N) (L/N) was amongst the few people on the crosswalk wearing the same clothes he had worn the two times I had seen him before. I had no doubt he had his sword hidden under his coat. The light turned green and we turned down the street driving ahead of (L/N) then parking on the side of the street.
"Yang what are you doing?" Neptune asked.
"That man in the coat is connected to Torchwick and the White Fang," I lied. "We might learn something if we follow him."
We both dismounted the motorcycle and began our pursuit staying on the other side of the street to avoid detection. We continued to follow him as he entered a park. We made frequent stops hiding behind trees. He came up to a bridge overlooking a pond where a single man stood at the center. He appeared to be in his mid-thirties. He had dark skin, black hair, and a beard. He wore a plaid robe over white clothes and I could see a sword hanging from his side. Neptune and I got close enough that we were hidden but could also hear what was going on.
3rd POV
"Hey Kastagir," (Y/N) shouted to the man on the bridge.
Kastagir turned to face (Y/N). "(L/N)," he said. "Have you come for my head?"
Yang watched as the two men reach into their outer garment. She was prepared to leap out of her hiding place to come between them should they pull out their swords. (Y/N) removed an empty hand from his coat while Kastagir pulled out a metal flask. The two laughed as they came toward each other and embraced. Their interaction relieved and confused Yang.
"It's good to see you again," Kastagir said. "It seems like a hundred years."
"It has been a hundred years," (Y/N) replied. "How have you been?"
"Considering recent events I've been doing well," Kastagir said and then held out the flask. "Hey, this puts hair on your chest."
"What is it?" (Y/N) asked.
"Boom Boom," Kastagir answered. "Come on, a big strong man like you shouldn't be afraid of a little Boom Boom. Maybe you think I'm trying to poison you."
"I think you're crazy Kastagir," (Y/N) said proceeding to take a sip from the flask. "Ooo, it definitely has a boom to it."
Kastagir laugh as he took back the flask and took a sip. He then turned placing his arms on the bridge's guardrail looking out at the pond. "So, the Gathering is here," he said with a sad tone. "Time's almost caught us my friend."
"Has it?" (Y/N) asked. "Do you think that we should go on?"
Kastagir smiled placing his hand on (Y/N)'s shoulder and leading him back the way he came. "I think we should have a party."
"Oh, no," (Y/N) said. "I remember the last time we had a party."
"Really?" Kastagir asked confused. "When exactly was that?"
"One hundred and fourteen years ago in Mistral," (Y/N) answered.
"Oh, yes," Kastagir said remembering. "You famous duel in the emperor's garden. You were drunk. What was that guy's name again?"
"His name was Takagi," (Y/N) said. "He stabbed me in the gut twelve times before I finally gave up."
"Well you had it coming," Kastagir replied. "You called his wife a bloated boarbatusk."
Yang POV
The two men walked past us unaware of our presence. The things they were saying made no sense. Not seeing each other for a hundred years? Having a party years before then? What gathering?
"If it's any consolation I know a place we can go where there's always a party," (L/N) said.
"And where might that be?" Kastagir asked.
"A place called Junior's Club," (Y/N) said. "The owner is a client of mine, and perhaps you could do me a favor when we get there."
"Are we going to follow them?" Neptune asked.
"No," I said. "We're going to meet up with Ruby and Weiss and tell them about this."
"Tell them about what?" Neptune asked. "I have no idea who those guy are."
"Let's just get past them and back to Bumblebee," I said.
Emerald POV
Mercury and I had been following (L/N) for the past hour. We held position on the rooftops when he entered the park. Fifteen minutes past before I saw him again. "I got him," I said seeing him through my binoculars. "He's with someone." I handed the binocular to Mercury who looked in their direction.
"Wait, I know the guy he's with," Mercury said. "That's Sunda Kastagir. He's a Faunus civil rights activist. My dad was hired to kill him a while back, but he failed somehow.
"What's an activist doing hanging out with an antique dealer?" I asked.
"Don't know," Mercury answered. "But I've been thinking. The Kurgan wanted us to follow this guy so he could cut his head off. He must have something in common with Tukson and the other he's killed."
I started to think about the beheading that were mentioned in the news. The details shared with the public were the same. A beheaded body, swords found in proximity on them, and electrical disturbances reported in the same area. Then I remembered what happened at Tukson's store when the Kurgan cut his head off. The electricity left the Faunus' body and went into the Kurgan. It was the same electricity that coated his hand when he blocked Mercury's kick and was in his eyes when he held me against the wall. Then it hit me. "What if the victims are like the Kurgan?" I asked. "What if they're immortal too?"
"How can that be?' Mercury asked still looking through the binoculars. "All of those guys are dead."
"I know," I said. "But they all died the same way. Maybe decapitation is the only way to kill an Immortal."
Mercury lowered the binoculars and looked at me. "If that's true than the Kurgan can be killed if we cut off his head," he said.
"It's just a theory but I may be worth sharing with Cinder," I said.
"We should wait and find out more before we start sharing theories," Mercury replied looking back through the binoculars. "He turning down the block. Let move."
We left and proceeded to run across the rooftop to continue tracking (L/N). If my theory was right we'd have a way to combat the Kurgan if he turns on us.
