Scorpius half doesn't expect Albus to come home. It's been six months with him on tour and with him not next to Scorpius. They're still dating, of course, and they text whenever they both have free moments.

Still, there's a part of Scorpius that hates what he's signed up for. He hates that his boyfriend is famous and has to go on tour and has to be around so many people who want him…

It's overwhelming for Scorpius. And a small, tiny part of Scorpius feels like Albus is going to realize that he likes being famous more than he likes Scorpius and why should he come home?

When the door to their apartment opens, Scorpius drops the plate he's holding. He honestly wasn't expecting him to actually come home.

"Albus," he says, as his boyfriend comes into sight. Albus grins at him and they stand, looking at each other, for a moment, before they close the distance. Scorpius holds onto his boyfriend tightly, a reminder that he's real, he's here.

"Missed me?" Albus asks, still grinning, and Scorpius presses his lips to Albus hungrily, buzzing all over.

"I honestly wasn't sure you'd come back," Scorpius admits, holding Albus' face. He doesn't want to let go. "Thought you might get caught up in the celebrity life."

"I could never," Albus says, and Scorpius believes him. "I promised you I would always come home, and I don't break my promises."

Albus kisses him again, and Scorpius can feel it down to his toes. He knows that their relationship is always going to be a little complicated, with Albus making music and then going on tour for that, but he loves Albus. He thinks about Albus' promise, the one he made before he left, about how, no matter what, he is always going to come back to Scorpius.

Standing here, holding Albus, Scorpius believes it.
