Daring grinned as he was looking at himself in the mirror.
"Man, and I thought Gaston had a big ego." Cherry muttered.
"I think he ties him in first." Atticus said.
Cherry smirked with a small snicker.
"You're scared of Uncle Sombra, aren't you?" Atticus asked.
Cherry's face dropped. "I feel like he's trying to kill me."
"Well, while I'm here he won't kill you." Atticus said.
An evil dragon soon knocked down Daring's mirror without warning.
"My mirror!" Daring gasped before he took out a bag of mirrors. "Lucky for me, mirrors are cheap, and I buy in bulk."
"Of course." Cherry rolled her eyes.
"Daring!" Poppy called out. "If you're done looking in that mirror, we could use a little help!"
"But I-I'm not done." Daring told her.
"Ignore him, what's going on?" Atticus asked Poppy.
The evil dragons were then carrying the son of Robin Hood known as Sparrow around and chasing Holly.
"Oh, come on!" Patch complained from that.
"Daring!" Poppy cried out.
"I don't think he's gonna be much help, but I will." Atticus replied.
"Careful, Atticus, don't sprain your ego." Cherry said.
"Let's get these dragons wrangled up." Mo said.
"Yee-haw, a good old-fashioned Dragon Round-Up!" Patch cheered as he took out a random cowboy hat with a lasso.
"Lasso with that, so help me, I'll-" Cherry glared.
Patch soon lassoed her.
"PATCH!" Cherry snapped.
"Gotcha, varmint." Patch smirked.
"I'm gonna send you to Vietnam." Cherry grumbled.
"Uh-huh. Sure." Patch kept his smirk.
"Don't think I won't," Cherry smirked back. "You know, in Vietnam, China, and Korea, they EAT dogs."
"Yeah, but I have magic, remember?" Patch retorted.
"I'll take away your magic." Cherry replied.
"You can't, it isn't done, you lose." Patch told her.
"I NEVER LOSE!" Cherry proclaimed.
"Words spoken by a professional loser." Patch teased.
"All right, Atticus, I hope you trained Spyro useful things because you're gonna need it for the Dragon Games." Drell told the young Wiccan.
"I sure did." Atticus said.
"I was sure you would," Drell replied. "You've always been so responsible with the assignments I gave you, now if there's anything you want in return, just let me know."
"What did you do that was so evil?" Atticus asked.
"Except for that." Drell replied before dashing off.
"What the heck, man?!" Atticus glared.
"I'm sorry, Atticus, but I swore in blood to never talk about that again!" Drell told him.
"Fine." Atticus said.
"Maybe another time, but not today." Drell told him.
"Okay, Spyro, let's get to some practice before the Games start." Atticus told his dragon.
"Okay." Spyro said.
Atticus blew a whistle. Spyro soon flew around to practice for the upcoming Games with the other dragons in Ever After High, even practicing with changing size. Atticus took notes on this with a smile as he tested Spyro. Faybelle was soon flying around to spy on the others before she would see certain others about something important for them. Spyro noticed Faybelle spying and didn't like it.
Soon, the students of Ever After High were signing up their names for the upcoming Dragon Games.
"Raven, are you and Crow gonna join the team tomorrow?" Ashlynn asked.
"We sure are." Crow nodded.
"Uh, no!" Raven suddenly said. "Our mother is up to something, Ashlynn! I can't believe that this isn't part of some evil plan. I just don't want to get involved."
"Sis, relax, will ya?" Crow soothed his sister who sprung into paranoia.
Having heard everything, Faybelle took off with a smile on her face to the Dragon Games arena. She was suddenly tackled by Spyro before being dragged to Atticus. "Hey, let me go, let me go!" she snapped.
"Hello, Dark Fairy," Atticus crossed his arms and tapped his foot. "Still the same bad fairy as always?"
"Make your dragon let me go!" Faybelle glared to Atticus.
"Not until you answer me some questions..." Atticus replied as he sounded like a true detective and even made the area dark as he brought out a light to shine in her face. "What are you doing here?!"
"I don't have to tell you anything, Wiccan." Faybelle sneered.
"Either tell me or else." Atticus threatened.
"Or else what?" Faybelle scoffed and crossed her arms. "You think you can scare me? My mother's the Dark Fairy who cursed Sleeping Beauty."
"I have magic, remember? I can take away your wings." Atticus said.
"You wouldn't dare." Faybelle glared.
Atticus smirked as he came up behind her and grabbed a hold of her wings. "Oh, look, such fluffy wings~"
"Hey, hands off!" Faybelle glared at him.
"Then spill." Atticus smirked.
"Never!" Faybelle glared.
"Oops, I feel my fingers slipping~" Atticus mocked.
Faybelle yelped as she heard stretching and ripping. "ALL RIGHT, I GIVE!" she cried out. "I give! I was gonna tell Evil Queen about Raven and Crow being in the Dragon Games and ask her to be the dragon-riding captain!"
"Wow... You truly are your mother's daughter." Atticus said.
"Just let go of my wings before I call the cops." Faybelle glared.
"Alright." Atticus said.
Faybelle glared to Atticus as he let go and soon flew off in a fury.
"Stubborn, much?" Spyro smirked.
"Yep." Atticus added.
There was soon more training for Spyro and the other dragons.
"Not bad, not bad at all," Drell smiled. "It almost makes me feel sorry for talking The Isle of Berk into thinking that all dragons were evil." he then covered his mouth as he accidentally admitted that out loud.
Cherry looked up to him.
"No, don't-" Drell said to her.
"ATTICUS!" Cherry called out.
"And there it is." Drell said.
"What are you doing?" Atticus glared to Drell.
"I'm not touching her!" Drell defended.
"Drell has a secret~" Cherry smirked.
"Oh, really?" Atticus smirked back.
"Both of you just forget it." Drell glared.
"He told the Isle of the Berk that dragons were evil." Cherry told Atticus anyway.
"You what?!" Atticus glared at Drell.
"I gotta go." Drell said before running off.
Atticus ran after him, being faster due to his stronger side and being younger.
"Atticus, no fair." Drell complained before he soon felt himself being pulled down.
"Okay, I have questions," Atticus firmly pouted in anger. "Why did you tell the Isle of Berk that dragons were evil?"
"I don't remember," Drell told him. "Honestly I don't, it was such a long time ago, I can't even remember if that was before, during, or after I graduated from Worchestire and allied with Sir Ruber against Kayley in Camelot."
"Well, that's helpful." Atticus muttered.
"I'm an old man, you guys," Drell told Cherry and Atticus. "Give me a break. Wait 'til you're my age."
"Alright. Alright." Atticus said.
Drell soon stood up and stretched. "I'm really sorry, you guys, I'll make it up to you, I promise."
"Oh, really?" Atticus smirked.
"Okay, what do you guys want?" Drell rolled his eyes. "A kitty? A sandwich? A holiday named after you?"
"Meeting Spider-Man." Atticus said.
Cherry snickered at the mention of Spider-Man.
"What is with you and Spider-Man?!" Atticus asked her.
"He's a wuss compared to Batman." Cherry smirked.
"Not a complete wuss." Drell said.
"Poor Peter Parker was pitiful~" Cherry randomly sang. "Couldn't have been any shyer, Mary Jane still wouldn't notice him, Even if his hair was on fire~"
"Are you done?" Drell asked.
"I'll go with him, only if I can do that." Cherry smirked.
Drell simply blinked, unimpressed with her request.
"Oh, don't tell me you don't know Weird Al Yankovic!" Cherry told him as she brought out a poster of a musician she was very fond of. "Winner of many Grammy awards and People's Choice Awards!"
Drell adjusted his glasses as he took a look at her poster. "Kinda looks like Cheese Sandwich from Equestria."
"Oh, what do you know?" Cherry scoffed.
Drell glared slightly for her scoffing.
"So, Spider-Man?" Atticus asked Drell.
"I'll see what I can do." Drell rubbed the back of his neck.
"Wahoo!" Atticus smiled.
Later that night...
"Haha, a lot of hexcitement around here, huh girl?" Raven smiled to Nevermore as she stroked the dragon. "It might be pretty strange for a while; you know, while my mom's here."
Nevermore nodded in agreement before frowning as she looked at Crow who was being silent at the word "Mother" as some eerie pink magic soon intoxicated their space, making them woozy.
"Maybe I'll just sleep here with you tonight." Raven yawned to her dragon.
"Man... I feel tired all of a sudden..." Crow added as he also yawned.
Nevermore and Midnight soon joined them. Midnight nearly fell asleep, but before he did, he briefly saw the Evil Queen and King Sombra which soon made him growl.
"I shall see to Apple White." The Evil Queen smirked evilly to Sombra.
"Excellent." Sombra smirked back.
"Anything you wish to do?" The Evil Queen asked him.
"I'll be talking to Atticus." Sombra said.
"See you later then." The Evil Queen smirked while leaving.
In the dorms...
Atticus yawned as he was about to brush his teeth and get some sleep after a big day with training Spyro. He soon saw his evil uncle in his room.
"Hello there, Atticus~" Sombra grinned.
"What do you want, Uncle Sombra?" Atticus rolled his eyes.
"Just wanted to talk." Sombra said.
"What about?" Atticus muffled as he soon brushed his teeth.
"I know that you can become a true ruler and rule anywhere with your powers because no one, not even Superman or Darkseid or Doomsday can stop you," Sombra said. "Let me show you."
"No thanks." Atticus replied.
"That wasn't a question, Atticus." Sombra said as he took his nephew away anyway.
"Okay. Okay. I'm coming," Atticus said. "Just to get this over with."
"If you insist." Sombra smirked as he used his magic to help out Atticus.
Atticus spit in the sink and then came to join Sombra while wiping his mouth. "Alright, show me my 'destiny'." he then said with air quotes.
"All right, come with me." Sombra took his hand and went to lead him where he wanted to show him.
And soon, a portal showed up, as if right on cue. Atticus winced at first, but soon joined Sombra into the portal. A different planet was soon shown to the young Wiccan.
"Where are we now, Uncle Sombra?" Atticus asked.
"This is Apokalips and it's one of the planets you will conquer." Sombra smirked.
"WHAT?!" Atticus asked. "I don't wanna conquer a planet!"
"Just watch." Sombra said.
Atticus crossed his arms as he did as his uncle asked of him before he saw himself flying at super-speed. "Is that me?" he then asked in surprise.
Sombra nodded to his question. Atticus and Sombra then took a closer look to the planet Apokolips. And where they saw Atticus killing demons before crashing into Darkseid's throne room. Atticus cupped his mouth as he wasn't sure how to feel about this.
"Honey, I'm home." Future Atticus chuckled after he finished off the demons.
"You are quite a strong man." Darkseid said as he stood up.
"Thanks," Future Atticus smirked. "It comes with working out and practice."
"But that doesn't mean you'll beat me so easily." Darkseid said.
Sombra nudged Atticus with a small smirk of satisfaction.
"Still not going to be as evil as you." Atticus said.
"Oh, being good is entirely overrated..." Sombra rolled his eyes.
Atticus glared and walked away from him while he had a moment to himself.
"Before your friendship, there was no need for anyone else," Sombra ranted. "You were to yourself, no magic, no nothing, I could've helped you out... But then you let that EMO GIRL RUIN IT FOR ME!"
"Can't you, oh, I don't know, just go into a different dimension?" Atticus asked.
Sombra snarled to him.
"That way, you get what you want, and I live my life the way I want," Atticus smirked. "Okay?!"
"There are already other me's in other dimensions/universes." Sombra retorted firmly.
"Well, you have fun with that, I'm gonna stay in Ever After High until I have to send Spyro away to that firefly or whatever." Atticus smirked.
Sombra began to get more angry. Atticus soon dashed away and went back into his dorm of Ever After High.
"ATTICUS!" Sombra snapped.
Atticus soon went to bed.
"When will you learn that the Crystal Empire is your destiny, YOU MISERABLE BOY?!" Sombra's voice snapped before fading away.
Atticus simply ignored that last statement and went to sleep. Apple was soon given a bit of the same treatment from Evil Queen, but everyone went to sleep until the next morning.
And soon, the next morning came. Raven and Crow were still in the dragon stables with Nevermore and Midnight. Atticus was now entering there with Spyro. A baby dragon soon licked Raven and Crow's faces to wake them up.
"Oh, Apple, this is so sudden." Crow smiled sleepily.
"Aha, I knew it!" Raven smirked to her brother. "Crow likes Apple White~"
Crow soon opened his eyes suddenly.
"Good morning!" Raven giggled before she looked to the dragon only to see that it was not her own. "Wait, you're not Nevermore. Nevermore? Nevermore, where are you?"
"And where's Midnight?" Crow asked.
"Ew, dragon breath!" Poppy complained as she was licked awake.
Holly giggled to her twin sister. Spyro began to look for Nevermore. Raven and Crow called out for their dragons as they left the stables.
"Nevermore! Midnight! Where are you two?!" Spyro called out.
Raven and Crow came into the library.
"I bet you-know-who has them." Crow glared.
"Shh!" The librarians hissed.
"Sorry." Crow whispered.
"Hmm?" Faybelle hummed as she lowered the book covering her face. She then flutters over to the counter of the library. With the evil step-librarians' backs turned, she takes out some powder and blows it on them, turning them into snails. "Cool. And I thought you guys were slimy before!" She then took them to place them into a jar.
"Huh?" Crow asked.
Faybelle looked toward Crow with a smirk.
"Don't even think about it." Crow glared at the daughter of the Dark Fairy. "Or else."
"Or else what?" Faybelle rolled her eyes. "You'll tear my wings off?"
"I'll get us out of here and do just that." Crow glared.
"Shh!" The librarians hushed.
"Oh, hush yourselves!" Crow rolled his eyes. "My sister and I are trapped here!"
The other students were soon gathered in the Dragon Games arena.
"First will be the choosing of the two teams and captains!" Headmaster Grimm told the students. "Following that, since your dragons are not fledged, today, you will merely walk your dragons through their paces."
This made the crowd groan.
"But no fear!" Headmaster Grimm's brother announced. "The Evil Queen will today offer a masterclass demonstration of dragon-riding."
This made the crowd now cheer.
"Hmm... Interesting." Patch said to himself.
Snow White was shown to be standing with the Evil Queen while Giles performed a coin toss. The Evil Queen's eyes glowed, using her magic to control the coin to land in her favor.
"Dark wins, you may choose first." Drell told the Evil Queen with an eye roll.
"I choose... Apple White." The Evil Queen smirked.
"Wait... What?" Drell asked.
"But no, I should be on my mom's team!" Apple gasped.
"Let me tell you a little story: when I was released from my mirror prison-" The Evil Queen began.
"No! I mean, yes! I'll be on your team," Apple chuckled nervously before turning to her mother. "It's just a game, right? Let's mix it up. Your turn, Mom."
"I wonder who she'll choose?" Patch wondered to himself.
"I choose Darling Charming as captain of 'light'." Snow White decided.
"Yes!" Darling beamed while the crowd cheered, the girl then winked toward Apple.
"Impressive." Mo said sarcastically.
"Captains, choose your teams." Headmaster Grimm commanded.
"Where are those two?" Atticus whispered as he looked around.
Once the teams are selected, the girls were playfully chatting.
"Well done, captains," Giles told Evil Queen and Snow White. "Now that you've chosen your teams, it's time to-"
"MOM!" Raven and Crow angrily walked up the steps together.
"Raven and Crow!" Darling exclaimed. "You've changed your minds!"
"Where were you two?" Mo asked.
"We were in the Dragon Stables, but Nevermore and Midnight are gone." Crow replied.
"Mom, did you take them?" Raven asked their mother.
"They are fine." The Evil Queen replied.
"Where are they?" Crow asked.
"Mummy has taken care of everything." The Evil Queen replied as she gestured to a tower room balcony where Nevermore and Midnight were in chains.
"And as for Spyro who seems to be flying up to the tower?" Crow smirked.
"Not for long~" Evil Queen smirked back.
Spyro came to the tower only to be blocked by some sort of barrier which made Nevermore worry about him. "Are you kidding me?!" he then snapped before trying to break out by using his lightning power.
The barrier seemed to bounce this back at him, shocking him which made him cough.
"Why don't I help?" A voice asked.
Everyone then turned to see a certain dragon from Equestria. "SPIKE?!"
"Twilight's been sending you letters, so she sent me to come check on you since you haven't been answering." Spike told Atticus.
"What are you talking about? I haven't gotten any scrolls from her since I got here." Atticus said.
"Hmm... That's strange..." Spike commented. "Anyway, I better help out."
"Are you going to fly?" Patch asked him.
"I'll try, but I don't think I'll like it since I usually fly in an alicorn chariot or hot air balloon..." Spike sighed before he took a deep breath so he could fly up to help his fellow dragons and he soon came over next to Spyro.
"So weird to see Spike flying." Cherry commented.
"I know and I'm glad that his molting was over." Atticus said.
"That was just sickening..." Cherry cringed.
"Here, buddy, let me help you." Spike smiled to Spyro.
"Thanks." Spyro smiled back.
Spike soon breathed out his green fire.
"Who is that?" The Evil Queen sneered.
"That's Spike the Dragon from Equestria, and he's going to save Midnight and Nevermore." Atticus proclaimed.
The barrier began to look like it was going to break. Spike panted as he took a small breath.
"Okay, just once more!" Spyro told him.
"Time-out," Spike told him while panting. "That takes a lot outta me."
"Take five, this will only need one attack from my horns." Spyro assured him.
"Okay, you got it." Spike smiled to Spyro.
Spyro soon charged at the barrier head first. The barrier seemed to shake at first before there were cracks coming in.
"Impossible!" The Evil Queen snapped. "I used a specific spell from King Sombra!"
"Guess neither of you expected dragons to attack the barrier from outside." Atticus smirked.
The Evil Queen fumed in sheer anger. "Dragons are meant to be hidden." she then said with a deep scowl.
Faybelle was soon coming to use her own magic so she could ride Nevermore only for her to feel vibrations from the barrier.
"Another fatal flaw in your plan." Cherry mocked Evil Queen, sounding a lot like Maud Pie now.
"Curses!" The Evil Queen glared.
"I don't think even Discord himself could bust through that." Cherry mocked the Evil Queen.
Nevermore and Midnight were soon free thanks to Spyro and Spike.
"Something about this guy feels familar..." Spike said to himself as he observed Spyro.
"Are you both alright?" Spyro asked Nevermore and Midnight.
"It could be worse, though I hated being powerless against that witch." Midnight scowled about his and his sister's owners' mother for doing this to them.
"Well now you both are free." Spike said.
"Thank you... Um... What's your name?" Nevermore asked.
"Master Kenbroath Kilspotten Heathspike, but you can call me Spike." The young dragon bowed before the bigger siblings as he was still growing, but was about the size of Spyro right about now, no longer being a baby dragon since he molted.
"It's nice to meet you, Spike." Midnight said.
"Nice to meet you too," Spike smiled. "Also nice to meet other dragons who aren't jerks."
"How many other dragons have you met?" Spyro asked.
"Well, I met a bunch of them once," Spike replied. "They lived in their own little space far from Ponyville, but they were all just crude and mean to me, unlike the ponies."
"That's horrible." Nevermore said.
"They were so mean, they kept calling me a pony because I was so soft," Spike sighed. "There was also an interesting girl one by the name of Princess Ember who became the new Dragon Lord of the Dragon Lands."
"You met Princess Ember?!" Nevermore and Midnight asked out of shock.
"I guess you guys know her?" Spike smiled sheepishly.
"What dragon doesn't?" Midnight asked.
"Hm... Good point." Spike replied before flying back down to Atticus and handed him numerous scrolls from Twilight, the most recent one being in a panic of him not responding back which showed in the letter.
"Whoa!" Atticus yelped.
"She's been wondering about you." Spike told Atticus.
"I can tell by the many scrolls." Atticus said.
"You better write her a letter back before the Games start." Mo teased her boyfriend.
"Agreed." Atticus nodded. He then went inside of Ever After High and made a quick letter to bring Twilight up to speed and why he hadn't answered in a while.
