Hey, everyone. Today, we will be doing the Oak Cup at the Ever Grande Conference. Now I will be doing something a little different and include characters from other worlds to fight in the tournaments. This tournament will have Sonic and Saint Seiya characters participating for example and a surprise fighter in the end.
Chapter 14: Battle for the Oak Cup
The Gummi Ship arrives at the Ever Grand Conference. This time, Sweetie and Sneezer as well as their new friends, Hamtaro and Bijou will be accompanying them. As the group arrives at the stadium entrance, they got greeted by a familiar friend.
Pikachu: PIKA!
Sora: Hey, Pikachu! Long time no see!
Pikachu jumps onto Sora's arms and licks his face, causing him to laugh.
Sora: Hey, that tickles!
Suddenly, Ash and May came over. Pikachu jumps off Sora's arms, ran over to Ash, and jumps on his shoulder.
Dizzy: Hey, Ash and May!
Ash: Hi, Sora!
Sora: Hi, Ash! Hi, May!
May: Long time no see, Sora!
Ash and May then noticed the two Ham-Hams and the two small Tiny Toons besides Sora.
Ash: Are those four creatures with you Pokemon?
Sweetie: We're not Pokemon. I'm Sweetie Bird.
Sneezer: I'm Little Sneezer.
Hamtaro: I'm Hamtaro.
Bijou: And I'm Bijou.
May: So you four can talk? You're all so cute too.
The four little critters blushed from May's comment.
Ash: So what brings you guys here?
Sora: We came to participate in the tournament.
Ash: That's great. I'm also planning to participate in the tournament.
May: I'm participating in the next tournament.
Suddenly, one of May's Pokeball opened and released a pink kitten-like Pokemon with squinty eyes and yellow face.
Pokemon: Nya! Nya!
May: Skitty, what are you doing?
Skitty then notices her tail moving and starts chasing it around, causing her to go dizzy.
Sora: Well, that was pretty cute.
May: Sorry. That was my Skitty. She can be a little playful.
Ash: So how's your travel Sora.
Sora: I went to alot of worlds and meet a bunch of new friends.
Ash: That's pretty cool. Speaking of other worlds, some people from those worlds are participating in the tournament too. They are Team Sonic and Team Seiya.
Sora: Teams Sonic and Seiya?
Ash: Do you know them?
Sora: Yeah, I help saved their worlds from the Heartless. I would also like you to meet some of my new friends too.
Sora pulls out his Rescue Gem and released Team Go-Getters.
Ash: Wow! So you have all the Johto Starters too?
Sora: Johto Starters?
Ash: They're from the region I previously traveled.
Cyndaquil: Well, me and my friends are from the Air Continent.
Ash: Wow! They can talk?
Chikorita: Of course we can talk.
Ash: But I thought Pokemon can't speak human language. Only Meowth can do that.
Pikachu jumps down to speak to the Go-Getters. Skitty joins in as well. Team Go-Getters seem to understand what Pikachu and Skitty are saying.
May: You three can understand Pikachu and Skitty?
Cyndaquil: Of course we can. We're Pokemon like them.
Chikorita: But it seems like the Pokemon of this world are different from our world.
Totodile: It seems the Pokemon in this world can't speak human language.
Ash: Well, it's pretty impressive that you three can understand both Pokemon and human languages.
Plucky: Umm, shouldn't we register for the tournament?
Ash: Oh yeah! I forgot about that!
Everyone ran towards the stadium. Ash then stops for a second.
Ash: Hey, Sora.
Sora: Yes, Ash?
Ash: If we get to battle in the tournament, I wanna battle your Go-Getters with my Johto Starters.
Sora: You got it!
Everybody ran into the stadium. At the lobby, they saw Brock holding his hands with the Pokemon nurse.
Brock: Nurse Joy, it's so good to see you.
Seeing this makes Dizzy fume with anger.
Dizzy: GRR! HOW DARE HE TOUCH MY NURSE!
Brock: Nurse Joy, my heart is really aching. Can you cure it for me?
Suddenly, Max came and pulls Brock's ear and walks away.
Max: I'll give you a cure alright. It's a cure to leave her alone.
Sora: Is he like this for every pretty woman he saw?
Ash: Yep. That's Brock for you.
The gang then saw someone running towards them. It was Cream the Rabbit and Cheese. She ran towards Plucky and hugs him.
Cream: Oh, Mr. Duck! I'm so glad to see you!
Plucky: Hey! Sorry, but I have a girlfriend, you know!
Everybody laughs as Plucky sighs.
Sora: Well, we better go see the Professor.
May: Right, Sora.
Everyone soon arrives at the lobby where Prof. Oak is.
Oak: Sora, Plucky, Dizzy, good timing! You're a bit early, but we can start now if you wish.
Dizzy: That sound great.
Oak: Then hurry up! The Oak Cup will start very soon!
Sweetie: Me, Sneezer, Hamtaro, and Bijou will sit by the seats, cheering for you guys.
Cream: Mr. Duck, please be careful, OK?
Plucky:(Sweatdrops)Umm...yeah...sure.
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy enters the arena while everyone else went up to the seats. Their first opponent is Team Sonic. The team consisted of Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy.
Sora: Sonic!
Sonic: Sora, long time no see!
Sora: It's been a while since we defeated Dr. Eggman.
Sonic: Yeah. Hard to believe that we are now fighting each other.
Sora: Yeah, and you know what? I'm not gonna hold back.
Sonic: Me neither.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Sonic then starts by running really fast.
Sora: Wow! Sonic's really fast!
Plucky: Yeah! He could give Little Beeper a run for his money!
Sora: I'll take care of Sonic. Plucky will take care of Tails and Amy. Dizzy will take care of Knuckles and Shadow.
Dizzy: Right!
The battle begins with Tails throwing bombs at Plucky with some hitting him. Amy follows up by hitting Plucky with her Piko Piko Hammer. Knuckles digs underground and starts digging towards Dizzy, but being the knucklehead he is, he ends up missing Dizzy. Shadow uses Chaos Spear to hit Dizzy with some energy spears. Sora and Sonic are fighting at really high speed. Sonic then uses Sonic Wind by spinning around the battlefield and creating a tornado which sends Sora flying.
Sora: Man, Team Sonic is tough!
Plucky: Yeah, and it's five vs three! That's not fair!
Dizzy: But we much stronger!
Sora: We need to come up with a better strategy.
Plucky & Dizzy: Right!
Sora: We'll focus on one of their team members at a time. We'll knock them out one by one.
Plucky: That sounds like a good plan. Let's do it!
Team Sora first focused on Tails since he's the weakest. Tails uses his Arm Cannon to fire an energy beam, but Team Sora dodges it. They then gang up on him. They did a bunch of combos on him until he starts to tire out. Suddenly, Amy came in and uses Pink Typhoon to spin her hammer around, creating a tornado. But Team Sora dodges that and it hits Tails, knocking him out of the arena.
Team Sora then focused on Knuckles. Knuckles proceeds to rush at Team Sora without strategy which results in them easily overwhelming him. They proceed to knock him out of the ring. Next, they focused on Amy. She uses Pink Typhoon again, but Team Sora dodges again and proceeds to finish her off too. They knocked her hammer off first and then she got knocked out.
Plucky: That's three down. Only two more to go.
Sora: I'll take care of Sonic. You two take care of Shadow.
Dizzy: Right!
Plucky and Dizzy ran towards Shadow while Sora takes care of Sonic. Shadow uses Chaos Spear again, but Plucky and Dizzy dodges it this time and attacks him. Plucky uses Fire while Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick on Shadow. Sora and Sonic are clashing again. Sonic uses Sonic Wind again, but Sora dodges it and uses Sonic Blade on Sonic. Sonic and Shadow are both knocked towards each other. Sora and Plucky finishes them off by using the Thunder combo. Both Sonic and Shadow are knocked out.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora then walks up to Sonic.
Sora: Are you OK, Sonic?
Sonic: I'm fine. Thanks, Sora.
Shadow: Man, I've really underestimated your team. You were incredible.
Plucky: That's right! We are awesome!
Dizzy: You just say that just to show off.
Plucky then looks at Dizzy with an angry look.
Sonic: Hey, Sora. I hope we'll get to fight again.
Sora: I hope so too.
Shadow: And next time, it will just be me and Sonic with the Chaos Emeralds.
Sora: You're on!
Sora and Sonic shook hands as they took a 10 minute break. After 10 minutes are up, Team Sora went up the arena to fight their next opponents. Their next opponent is Team Seiya, which consisted of Seiya, Hyoga, Shiryu, Shun, and Ikki.
Seiya: Hey, it's Sora!
Sora: Hey, Seiya! It's good to see you again!
Seiya: It's been a while since we defeated Gemini Saga.
Sora: And now we are fighting each other.
Seiya: I even saw your last match. You were incredible.
Sora: Thanks, but just because we're friends doesn't mean I'll hold back.
Seiya: Me neither. I'll go all out with my Pegasus Armor.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle begins with Sora and Seiya clashing. Plucky and Dizzy were focusing on Ikki, who was about to prepare the Phoenix Illusion Fist. Dizzy dodges the attack, but not Plucky. Upon taking the attack, Plucky starts to act weird.
Plucky: What? NO! Please don't leave me, Shirley!
Dizzy: What going on?
Suddenly, Plucky got hit by Ikki's flaming fist.
Ikki: That was my illusion that my attack does to my foes. It sends illusions to my foes of their greatest fears before I deliver the finishing blow. It seems like your friend is afraid of losing his girlfriend.
Plucky soon got back up, but then he got hit by Shun's Nebula Chains attack. Dizzy tried to run up to Plucky, but he got frozen by Hyoga's Diamond Dust attack, followed by Shiryu's Rozan Rising Dragon which sends Dizzy up in the air. Dizzy lands besides Plucky.
Dizzy: Man, they are strong! We need better strategy!
Plucky: We need Sora to help us!
Sora then ran over to his fallen team mates.
Sora: You guys are still having trouble?
Plucky: Yeah! It was four against two while you were busy fighting Seiya.
Dizzy: We need your help, Sora!
Sora: OK! We'll do the same strategy we used to defeat Team Sonic.
Plucky: So we like take their team down one at a time, right?
Sora: Exactly!
Dizzy: Me like that plan! Let do it!
Team Sora focused on Shun first. Shun uses the Nebula Chains on them, but they dodged it and did a whole ton of damage to him. They quickly tired him out.
Shun: Man, these guys are powerful. I have no choice but to unleash my ultimate attack.
Shun prepares to execute his ultimate attack. By doing so, he released his cloth as he charges up his energy. He then proceeds to attack.
Shun: NEBULA STORM!
He unleashed a powerful pink wave on Team Sora, but it missed them and hits Shiryu instead, knocking him out. Shun soon tires out, leaving himself vulnerable. Team Sora then proceeds to knock him out of the arena. With two Saints down, Team Sora focused on Hyoga, who uses his Diamond Dust attack, but they dodged it and dealt some combos on him. He was getting tired out too.
Hyoga: These guys are really strong. I'll have to use my ultimate attack.
Hyoga then grasp both of his hands and charges up energy as he prepares an attack.
Hyoga: AURORA EXECUTION!
He unleashed a giant blizzard towards Team Sora, but they dodged it and instead hits Ikki, freezing and eliminating him. Team Sora proceeds to finish him off together by overwhelming him, knocking him out as well.
Plucky: That's four down!
Sora: There's only one more to go.
Team Sora then focused on Seiya, who uses Pegasus Comet Fist, actually hitting Plucky and Dizzy, but missed Sora, who uses the Sonic Blade on him, hitting him with multiple combos. Plucky and Dizzy proceeds to help Sora by hitting Seiya with Blizzard and Spin Attack. Sora proceeds to finish him off with a Keyblade combo, knocking him out.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora walks up to Seiya.
Sora: Hey, Seiya. are you alright?
Seiya: I'm fine. Thanks, Sora.
Sora: That was a great battle.
Seiya: It sure is. Too bad I lost though.
Sora: I'm sure you'll get another chance next time.
Seiya: I hope so too. Next time, I'll be in my Sagittarius Armor.
Sora: I'll look forward to that day we fight again.
Sora and Seiya shook hands as they prepare for their 10 minutes break. After 10 minutes was up, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Team Armor, which consisted of magic Heartless and Guard Armor.
Plucky: Not again! Can't we get a break from Guard Armor?
Sora: But this time, it doesn't have arms or legs, so it should be easier.
Dizzy: Me and Plucky take on magic Heartless while Sora take on Guard Armor.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The heroes did as they planned. Plucky and Dizzy dealt with the magic Heartless while Sora dealt with Guard Armor. Plucky uses magic to finish off the Heartless while Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick. The armor spins it's body, knocking Sora back, but he easily got back up and uses the Sonic Blade to deal combos on the armor and finished it off.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner! They will proceed to the finals!
Team Sora celebrates their victory and took a 20 minute break. During their break, they were talking to Ash and his friends.
May: Congratulation, Sora! You've made it to the finals!
Sora: I know. It's hard to believe, right?
Ash: You get to battle me next!
Sora: Wow! Really?
Ash: Yeah. You should bring out your Go-Getters while I bring out my Johto Starters. We'll see who is stronger.
Sora: But aren't Summons forbidden from this tournament?
Oak: Don't worry, Sora. I've ask the manager of the tournament to make a special exception for the finals.
Sora: Really? Thanks, Professor.
Plucky: Sora, we better hurry up! The finals will start any minute!
Sora: Well, it was nice talking to you Ash. See you in the finals!
Sora quickly went back to the arena with his team. His next opponent is Ash. Sora immediately brings out the Go-Getters.
Sora: I hope you guys are ready!
Cyndaquil: We're as ready as we are!
Ash: OK! Cyndaquil, Chikorita, Totodile, I choose you!
Ash threw three Pokeballs and out came his own Cyndaquil, Chikorita, and Totodile. They looked at Team Go-Getters and made shocked looks. The Go-Getters were shocked as well.
Chikorita: They look just like us!
Totodile: Yeah, except they probably don't speak human language.
Sora: Don't worry. Just show them how powerful you guys are.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Ash's Pokemon made the first move. His Cyndaquil uses Flamethrower on Sora's Cyndaquil, his Chikorita uses Razor Leaf on Sora's Chikorita, and his Totodile uses Water Gun on Sora's Totodile. The attacks landed, but the Go-Getters didn't even flinch. Ash and his Pokemon were surprised.
Ash: What? They didn't take damage?
Cyndaquil: That's a Flamethrower? I'll show you a real Flamethrower!
Sora's Cyndaquil responds back at Ash's Cyndaquil with a Flamethrower, Sora's Chikorita uses Razor Leaf on Ash's Chikorita, and Sora's Totodile uses Water Gun on Ash's Totodile. They did serious damage to Ash's Pokemon and easily knocks them out.
Referee: Team Ash is unable to battle! Team Sora is the winner!
Sora and his team celebrates their victory. Minutes later, they were on a stand. A female reporter came up with the camera crew to interview Sora.
Reporter: Congratulations on your victory, Sora! What can you say to the audience?
Plucky and Dizzy looks at Sora as he held his Keyblade up in the sky.
Sora: WE'RE THE CHAMPS!
The audience cheers for their victory. Back at the lobby, everybody congratulates Team Sora.
Hamtaro: You we're incredible, Sora!
Bijou: Oui! We knew you would win.
Sora: Thanks, guys. And thank you all for cheering me on.
Sweetie: No problem, Sora.
Prof. Oak then walks over to Sora.
Oak: I never thought that you would make it all the way to the finals, but you've proven me wrong. Here's your prize for winning.
Prof. Oak hands Sora another scroll. As he reads it, he feels much lighter than usual.
Plucky: We've learned Gravity. It weakens the foe's health by 25 percent.
Dizzy: That could be useful.
Everyone then hears a growl which made Plucky scream and hides behind Sora. Everyone turns to hear Dizzy's stomach growling.
Dizzy: Dizzy hungry.
Plucky: Right. I knew that was his stomach.
Sora: You're always hungry, Dizzy.
Dizzy: Dizzy can't help it.
Brock: Not to worry. There's a food court in the stadium. They have all kinds of food.
Dizzy: Dizzy love food courts!
Dizzy ran so fast to the food court, it startles everybody.
Sora: Wow! He's fast!
Plucky: When he hears the word food, he's a speed demon.
Max: Well, let's go then!
Everybody went to the food court to have some food. Then they went outside the stadium.
Sora: It was great fighting you, Ash.
Ash: Yeah, but I really underestimated you. Next time we fight, I'll use my much stronger team.
May: You'll have to wait until after the next tournament, because the next tournament is my cup.
Sonic: Maybe in the future, I'll have a rematch with Sora.
Seiya: Maybe I'll team up with someone as powerful as me.
Sora: Well, it was nice battling you guys. See you all later!
Cream walks up to Plucky again.
Cream: Please be safe, Mr. Duck!
Plucky:(Sweatdrops)I'll be fine, little bunny.
Sora, Plucky, Dizzy, and the four little critters left the stadium. As they head back to the ship, they saw Cloud leaning on a building.
Cloud: I saw your battles. You fought well.
Sora: Thanks, Cloud. Have you found someone you're looking for?
Cloud: Not yet. I won't rest until I find him.
Plucky: So when will you find this guy?
Cloud: If I can get to the Platinum Cup, I'll meet him.
Sora: Platinum Cup?
Cloud: It's a match for the strongest warriors after you beat all the tournaments. If I could make it, I could defeat him. I guess there will be a rematch between us.
Sora: Cool! I can't wait! By the way, do you know someone named Aerith?
Cloud drops his sword and gasps.
Cloud: She's alive? But I thought Se...never mind. What did she say?
Dizzy: She say be careful.
Cloud: I will. Just tell her I'm fine and I know what I'm doing.
He then looks up at Sora.
Cloud: Sora, our paths may be different, but we will fight again. So keep fighting and you'll be stronger.
Sora: OK, and no dark powers when it comes to our rematch.
Cloud: OK, no dark powers.
Sora's group heads off and boards the Gummi Ship.
Sweetie: Now that we have the new Navigation Gummi, we can go to new worlds.
Sneezer: Yeah, but it will take us an hour to get there.
Sweetie: The new world will be east from here.
Sora: OK! Let's take off!
The Gummi Ship left the Pokemon World and took off into space.
That's it for chapter 14 and the Oak Cup. Before any of you ask, I know that Ash's Chikorita evolved before the Hoenn Region. This is a fanfiction, so I can do what I wanna do. Besides, one of May's Pokemon will evolve earlier than in canon much later in the fanfic. Ash's Chikorita will evolve for the sequel along with his Cyndaquil. Next time, Sora and the gang will leave from one monster-themed world to another monster-themed world.
