Eventually, Patch and Cherry both stopped running as both got very tired.
"Anybody got a sandwich or something?" Cherry asked breathlessly.
"And so, Raven and Crow and their friends set out to battle the biggest drama queens ever after," Brooke's voice began to narrate. "Will they be able to take back the school? Will Daring follow his destiny and wake Apple? Oh, so much pressure! At least they won't have to study for hexams, too! I, for one, can't wait to see what happens next chapter."
The scene soon goes back to the school starting with the beginning of the beanstalk before we are shown the school still high up.
"Okay, I see we missed a lot." Cherry remarked once they made it back to Ever After High.
"Things were looking awfully grim for the students of Ever After High." The male narrator spoke.
"The Evil Queen and King Sombra have taken over the school and given it one wicked makeover." Brooke added.
"And the darkest chapter in Apple's story was being written," The female narrator added. "A cursed apple from the Evil Queen had poisoned her into a forever after sleep."
"And Daring Charming had just jumped out of the booking glass along with Cherry!" Brooke soon concluded.
"Uh, thanks." Cherry said to the narrators.
"You're welcome!" The narrators replied.
"Now please, please, I understand it's been quite some time since you've seen this face and you must be going through withdrawal," Daring told the girls as he handed Raven the booking glass. "But take caution. Too much handsome at once can be a shock to the system. Sips, not gulps, people."
"Oh, brother." Mo muttered to herself.
They soon heard someone coming and turned over to see the woodland pixies bringing over some familiar faces.
"Hey, guys!" Dexter called out as he waved and ran over.
"Aha!" Melody smiled as she joined in.
"Woo-hoo!" Rosabella cheered.
"Yeah, we made it!" Briar Beauty smiled.
"Well, at least you guys are safe." Cherry said at the Ever After High students that she recognized.
"Hunter." Ashlynn smiled as she went up to her boyfriend. "But how did you-?"
"It was Jillian's beanstalk." Hunter explained.
"Wow, Daring let you borrow his mirror?" Dexter asked Raven in shock. "That's a first."
"This is no ordinary mirror: the booking glass," Raven explained. "We can use it to send mine and Crow's mother back to the Mirror Realm. How did we make this thing work before?" she then wondered.
"I don't know," Darling shrugged. "It just started talking and then Cherry and Daring popped out."
"You have to use a special passcode." Patch told them.
"Too bad none of us knows the passcode." Atticus said.
"Oh, gee," Cherry gasped dramatically. "Atticus Fudo doesn't know how to solve a problem? Stop the presses! Oh, whatever shall we do?"
"Are you done?" Atticus narrowed his eyes.
"Just let me enjoy this." Cherry smirked as she leaned in against him.
"Guys, can't you do something?" Holly asked Raven and Crow.
"Yeah! Unlock it with magic!" Poppy added.
"I don't think that would be wise." Mo said.
"Why not?" Cherry shrugged.
"In History of Evil Spells, Baba Yaga said the booking glass is shielded by Dark Fairy magic," Crow explained. "We can't crack it!"
"Oh, well, I guess there's that." Cherry then said.
"We have to send the Evil Queen back to where she belongs from poisoning Apple." Ashlynn then suggested.
"Wait. Apple's been poisoned?" One of the other students asked.
"She sure has, Nina." Crow frowned at the girl.
"It's true. Forever after sleep." Raven added.
"This is it, Charming. You have to wake your sleeping damsel with a kiss and it's happily ever after from here on out!" Daring said to himself as he began to pace around and panicked. "Ohhh, this is happening so fast! How do I look, how's my hair?" he then asked Darling and Cherry since they were right next to him.
"Your hair looks fine, but, oh, no, what's that?" Cherry gasped.
"WHAT?!" Daring panicked. "What do you see?"
"Your head!" Cherry gasped.
"WHAT?!" Daring asked. "TELL ME!"
"It's as big as your ego which can be seen from space!" Cherry told him before she fell back and laughed at him. "Man, what a drama prince."
"Come on, drama prince; let's go save Apple." Darling said to her brother.
Meanwhile, back at Ever After High...
The Evil Queen was filing her nails in her new throne as Sombra paced around a bit to take in the new sights of the new Ever After High.
"It's no Crystal Empire, but I suppose it will do," Sombra said to him. "It's just a shame that my heir won't cooperate with his destiny."
"Believe me, I know what you mean." The Evil Queen replied.
Faybelle was soon seen coming over to see the two. "I did it! I found Raven, Crow, and their friends and those visitors outside of Ever After High in the Enchanted Forest!" she then told them as she flew around in excitement. "I poisoned Apple White, I am on a wicked roll! I am... Being completely ignored," she then stopped firmly as she saw that they weren't paying attention to her. "Ahem?"
"Faybelle, which of these nail polish colors gives off more a 'be scared of me and my evil partner because we're your evil rulers' kinda vibe?" The Evil Queen asked while using her magic to change her nail polish colors from one to another.
"I think you should stick with that color; it matches your dark magic." King Sombra told the Evil Queen.
"That might be best, yes." The Evil Queen nodded at the unicorn stallion.
"Did you hear what I said?" Faybelle complained to them. "I took care of everything. How about a little evil credit over here?"
"Need we remind you who wears the crown in this evil takeover?" Sombra reminded the young dark fairy.
"He's right," The Evil Queen added as she stood up from her throne and walked towards her. "None of this would be happening without my brilliant planning. Those idealistic damsels are still out there and this isn't over yet, but I've come too far not to see my ultimate plan to completion," she then explained before showing off her nails again. "Are you sure about this color?"
"It matches your dark magic and your dark heart." Sombra smirked, meaning that as a compliment.
"You look spelltacular." Faybelle added with a dejected sigh.
Meanwhile back in the enchanted forest...
Apple was lying down in her new glass coffin, resembling her mother in her original fairy tale.
"All we need now is seven little guys surrounding her and an older guy who has a big interest in-" Cherry began to make a dark joke.
"Okay! Let's not go overboard with Snow White's story, huh?" Mo warned as she nudged the perky goth.
Daring then came into the forest, riding on his very own noble steed as everyone else began to gasp hopefully.
"I doubt this will work." Cherry said to Atticus, Mo, and Patch.
"Of course this won't work." Atticus whispered to her.
"It's obvious who actually will be able to free Apple from the curse." Patch whispered.
"I'm glad we're on the same page rather than Atticus looking on the bright side all the time like some Sunday school drop-out." Cherry smirked.
Atticus narrowed his eyes in annoyance off that reply. Everyone else soon simply cheered on Daring as he approached the glass coffin before the woodland pixies opened it up for him so that he could kiss Apple awake.
"Apple White, you are my damsel, and I am your Prince Charming, and now I will fulfill our destinies, and we shall live happily ever after." Daring said as he approached Apple and soon kissed her right on the lips.
However, after the kiss, nothing happened as Apple continued to sleep.
"Uh, happily ever after." Daring soon said as he kissed Apple on the cheek then.
Nothing still happened as Daring began to look desperate and panicky.
"Ever after...?" Daring tried one last time as he kissed the back of her hand, but he soon backed away as he began to feel horrified and traumatized that his true love's kiss didn't work on the girl of his dreams.
"Daring, is something wrong?" Raven asked the boy.
"I-I'm not the prince of destiny!" Daring cried before he soon walked away in defeat. "I'm not her Prince Charming!"
"What does this mean, Raven?" Cedar asked her.
"It means Apple's forever sleep really is forever." Raven said softly.
"Oh, for Celestia's sake! Are we the only ones that know who Apple's Prince Charming AKA her true love truly is?" Cherry asked, referring to herself, Atticus, Mo, and Patch.
Atticus, Mo, and Patch tried to keep Cherry quiet.
"No!" Cherry told them firmly as she glared at the other Ever After High students. "You guys really can't be that dense!"
"It was meant to be me," Daring said to Cherry, hugging her dramatically. "I don't understand why it couldn't have worked?! If it's not meant to be me, then who is it?"
Cherry soon got out of his hold and dusted herself clean with an annoyed glare. "Crow, of course!" she soon told them like it was obvious.
Everyone soon gasped before looking over at Crow.
"I mean, seriously, it's so obvious." Cherry said.
Crow began to blush a little bit.
"So come on, Romeo!" Cherry said as she came over to him and pushed him forward from behind him.
"I-I-I can't!" Crow cried out.
"Aw, come on," Cherry told him. "Get it over with."
"Cherry, stop, you're embarrassing him." Atticus warned.
"How am I embarrassing him? Besides, it's either he kisses Apple or she is stuck having to sleep forever," Cherry said. "Besides, it's not like you and Raven can go and 'play' the Evil Queen and King Sombra, making them think you two embraced the evil destiny that the Storybook of Legends show you two."
Crow and Raven soon shared a thoughtful look with each other.
"...Oh, no, no..." Cherry shook her head. "I'm saying the exact opposite of that!"
"But that just might work." Atticus said.
"Seriously?!" Cherry asked.
"Also, how would you like it if you got exposed in front of a crush like that in front of all your friends?" Atticus asked firmly. "Don't you have empathy?"
"...I try," Cherry shrugged. "It isn't easy though... One person who could really use empathy though is Drell."
"Crow, you stay here; Atticus and I have to go." Raven told her brother before taking off.
"Huh? Oh, uh, okay..." Crow said softly.
"I promise I'll be back!" Raven told him.
"Of course, we gotta have Atticus save the day." Cherry remarked as she stood by with her hands in her pockets.
"Where are you going?" Darling asked as Raven climbed onto Nevermore's back.
"To make sure the rest of my friends don't end up like Apple." Raven replied as she got ready.
"You two are going to go see your mother and King Sombra, aren't you?" Darling asked.
"It's the only thing left we can do." Atticus replied.
"Just let Crow kiss that idiot already!" Cherry cried out.
"Guys, you can't!" Darling cried out.
"It's the only way! We know what we're doing!" Raven insisted before giving her the booking glass. "Here, you're gonna need this."
"The booking glass?" Cherry asked out of confusion. "But-"
"Trust us," Raven reassured before she took off with Nevermore. "Somebody is about to have a change of heart."
Darling gasped at that before pouting softly. "What are you up to, Raven Queen?" she then asked.
"Be good, Cherry, I'll be back later." Atticus told his friend before he took off after Raven.
Spyro soon looked over to where Crow was and saw he was feeling a little insecure, not knowing if he truly was the one for Apple.
"Hey, buddy." Crow smiled sadly.
Spyro rubbed up against Crow a little bit.
"I just have a lot on my mind," Crow said as he lightly petted the purple dragon. "You seem like a real good boy though."
"I sure am." Spyro smiled.
"I just have a lot on my mind right now," Crow said before sighing bashfully. "Especially about Apple."
"I understand, I kinda feel the same way about a dragon I haven't known for that long." Spyro said bashfully.
"Oh, yeah?" Crow asked as he knelt closer beside Spyro. "Sounds interesting."
"Every time I get closer and closer, I just wanna say it and get it over with, but it gets harder and harder for me to tell how I feel." Spyro nodded.
"I know what you mean," Crow said softly. "Crushes can be so painful sometimes... Though, I guess that's why they're called 'crushes'."
"Yeah, but I can tell your crush is more than just a crush and so can Aunt Cherry, Dad, Mom, and Patch." Spyro told him.
"Maybe." Crow admitted while blushing.
"Is it though?" Spyro guessed.
"Yeah, it is..." Crow sighed as he blushed. "She's just... The most amazing girl I had ever seen in such a long time, even if she sorta betrayed me and my sister with that whole mess with Mom."
"Well, the other students were kinda wanting only Raven's help when we first arrived here," Spyro told Crow, referring to himself, Patch, Atticus, Mo, and Cherry. "And well, they kinda made it seem like they didn't want Apple's help at all."
"It's just been pretty rough on all of us for the past few days," Crow sighed to Spyro. "Sometimes I'm not sure what to even do anymore."
"Just follow your heart; that's what my dad always does." Spyro smiled.
"Heh, I've noticed," Crow smiled back. "Too bad you're not my pet dragon, you're very insightful."
"I'm glad you think so," Spyro replied. "Guess I was hatched and raised right."
"Looks like it." Crow said.
Meanwhile back at Ever After High...
Raven took a deep breath as she began to approach her and Crow's mother's throne.
"Hello, Raven," The Evil Queen greeted. "Where is your brother?"
"Oh, he's around," Raven shrugged casually. "We need to talk."
"Help me for an announcement." The Evil Queen soon told Sombra.
Sombra nodded before calling out. "Attention, students/loyal subjects! Your attention, please!"
Justine then suddenly gasped. "The Evil Queen and King Sombra are on my MirrorPhone!"
"Mine too!" Farrah added.
"Just thought you'd be hexcited to know that I'm leaving Ever After High and this kingdom forever after." Evil Queen smirked.
The students all soon gasped after hearing that.
"Yes, that's right," The Evil Queen told them. "Your cursed little lives have all been spared, because, well just let's say Mother's Day came early this year," she then gestured over to her daughter, now dressed in evil-looking clothes. "My daughter, Raven Queen, has agreed to join me. To become evil and take over other lands with me!" she then continued wickedly.
The students soon broke out into a panic about this situation.
"And that's not all." Sombra smirked.
The students gasped as they hoped Sombra wouldn't tell them that Atticus was joining Sombra's side too. Atticus soon stepped over with a sharp sigh.
"So, you're going by my side?" Sombra asked Atticus.
"Yes, Uncle Sombra," Atticus replied. "Just as long as my friends don't get hurt as well as the students of Ever After High. That's all I ask."
"Very well," Sombra nodded, giving Atticus his very own prince crown. "You've made the right choice, my little prince."
"I guess so." Atticus sighed.
The students soon went back to panicking as they ran all around. Atticus frowned as he felt bad for making them run while Sombra laughed at their fear like it was all a big joke to him.
"Let's see here..." The Evil Queen said as she used her magic to open up a map. "What land shall we take over first? We could take another crack at Wonderland or we could conquer and rule over Gingerbread Land or hear me out now, The Land of the Giants!"
"Those all sound great, Mom," Raven said, a bit flatly. "I'll go anywhere you want. As long as it's not here."
"Oh, I'm too excited to pick! My wicked little blackbird has flown home! Mother/Daughter evil selfie!" The Evil Queen beamed before she pulled her daughter over with her magic and decided to take a picture of both of them together. "It's just a shame that your brother couldn't be here. You were always my favorite child anyway." she then told Raven boastfully.
"Sure, whatever you say, Mom." Raven said.
"It's going to be great ruling the Crystal Empire with you by my side, Atticus." Sombra smiled.
"Yeah, it'll be great." Atticus said with a forced smile back.
"Oh, my fairy godmother!" Faybelle complained to the Evil Queen and Sombra. "I've spent all this time fluttering around, doing your evil bidding without so much of a 'Hey, thanks Faybelle! Hex of a job'. And now, Little Miss 'I'm gonna choose my own destiny' comes waltzing in and you actually believe she's going to be evil?!"
"Will you excuse us for a moment?" The Evil Queen smiled sweetly at Raven before stomping over to Faybelle and put a sound barrier over the two of them. "That is my daughter you're talking about."
Atticus and Raven glanced at each other as they just stood in confusion during the arguing, not knowing what they were saying or what was really going on.
"Oh, don't you worry about that," Sombra told them as he put his hoof around Atticus. "Now, you and I, are going to have quite the adventures together, King Uncle and Prince Nephew, just you wait and see, my boy."
"Um, right." Atticus said.
"Now of course there will be plenty of packing to do before we get to the Crystal Empire." Sombra said.
"But we won't go home right away, right?" Atticus grinned nervously.
Sombra gave him a bit of a look.
"I-I mean, what if the Evil Queen wants more help from a brave and noble hero like you?" Atticus asked. "You wouldn't want to let her down, would you?"
"Hmm... No, I suppose I couldn't do that," Sombra had to admit. "I suppose we could wait just a little bit longer, though it shouldn't take too long since Raven's living up to her destiny as The Evil Princess and the next Evil Queen."
"Yep," Atticus nodded before seeing the conversation still going on between Evil Queen and Faybelle. "Wow. She must really be giving Faybelle a talking to."
"The Evil Queen is probably the biggest drama queen in Fairy Tale history," Sombra remarked. "You should see the one in another universe of The Enchanted Forest where she teams up with that world's Rumplestiltskin, but... I don't have time to get into all of that."
Atticus looked curious, but just shrugged as that didn't sound very important.
"Whatever after, I'm telling you, she's up to something," Faybelle glared at the Evil Queen. "You don't honestly think she's 'evil' now! And I know that King Sombra can't even think that Atticus is giving up this easily!"
"She's going to be just like me because I gave her no choice and her brother is the biggest fool!" The Evil Queen glared back. "All of my plotting and planning has finally gotten me what I want! Don't you understand? I won!"
"All of this was about Raven?" Faybelle asked softly suddenly. "But, what about me?"
"What about you?" The Evil Queen mocked before she soon came back over to Raven. "Now, where were we? Oh! What about The Sea Kingdom? We could rule over the mer-folk! Ooh, we could get paddle boats!"
Faybelle began to look like she was going to cry before wiping her tears and she then took off, flying.
Meanwhile back at the enchanted forest...
Melody soon played some sad music for the loss of Apple, trying not to attract rats though like her father once did once upon a time ago.
"Oh, yes," Daring nodded sadly. "This is what feelings sound like," he then yelped before his arm was suddenly grabbed by his sister. "Hey! What the hex? Can't you see I'm trying to wallow?"
"All this pouting; not a good look on you," Darling scolded him. "It's time to turn the page, brother."
"Don't you understand? I just lost my destiny!" Daring cried out as she rolled her eyes, not being sympathetic towards him. I'm not Apple's Prince Charming!"
"And I'm not a damsel-in-distress!" Darling retorted. "Some of us aren't going to follow our original destinies."
"It's time you guys realize," Cherry spoke up. "Not everybody is like their parents. I'm nothing like my own parents after all, I'm more like my former godmother before the prophecy began..." she then sighed. "Sometimes I wish I could've lived with her instead... She was always a lot more interesting than most people I'd run into in life before I met Atticus."
"Raven and Atticus did what nobody ever thought they would, but look what happened." Daring replied.
"Please... Like Atticus would betray me..." Cherry rolled her eyes.
"You're just in denial." Daring told her with a pout.
"And you're the King of Denial." Cherry retorted with a random rimshot.
"Cherry's right," Darling told her brother. "Raven and Atticus did what they had to to save their friends! They had a choice to make, and so do you."
"But I was so sure that I was Apple's prince charming; if my kiss can't wake her, then I don't know what can." Daring frowned.
"Do I seriously need to repeat what I told you all before?" Cherry asked with a groan.
"Calm down." Crow said, coming up from behind the girl.
"You!" Cherry said to him. "You like this girl, you kiss her."
"I-I-I..." Crow stammered.
"Come on now," Cherry urged before she imitated Sebastian the Crab. "Kiss da girl~"
Crow soon took a deep breath before exhaling before going over to Apple.
"He's actually going to do it." Daring said.
"At least he's doing something instead of wallowing." Cherry replied before smirking smugly.
"I should throw you in my family's dungeon for your insolence!" Daring glared at her while Darling tried to restrain her brother.
"Every moment I've spent on this Earth has been a dungeon," Cherry smirked at him a bit. "Cold, dark, and alone... Home Sweet Home if you ask me."
Crow gulped nervously as he turned bright red in his face before he took a deep breath and soon leaned in, going to kiss Apple right on the lips while he still had the chance.
'Apple, I don't know if this will truly wake you up, but I just want you to know that I love you with all my heart. I've always been in love with you since we first met which I thought might had started as just a crush, but a little overtime, my feelings for you grew stronger.' Crow thought to himself as he kissed Apple on the lips.
The other simply watched as Crow mustered as much courage as he possibly could while giving into the kiss, but did his very best not to draw it out too long. There was then a shot of what looked like rainbow lights that phased through magic after the kiss as Crow stepped back while blushing and trying to keep himself together. Apple soon took a deep breath and opened her eyes after a few moments had passed.
"Apple's back, she's back! Crow did it! She's awake! Yay, yay, yay!" The other students soon cheered.
"See?" Cherry rolled her eyes.
"Wh-What happened?" Apple asked as her eyes fluttered a bit. "Did... Daring wake me up?"
"Uh, well, um, not exactly..." Crow said, feeling a bit sheepish.
"It was Crow." Mo smiled.
"It's true." Daring said.
"You did that for me just to save our friendship and for me?" Apple asked Crow.
"Yeah... Friendship..." Crow blushed before smiling at her. "Erm... It was the least I could do since old Daring here couldn't bring you back."
"Aw, Crow, you're so sweet and such a good friend." Apple beamed.
"Ouch." Cherry smirked, unable to help it, though part of her did feel a little bad for Crow.
"Yeah, friend." Crow frowned.
"But Apple, only true love's kiss could break any curse so..." Darling drawled on, hoping Apple would get the answer and let her true feelings show.
"Wait, where are Raven and Atticus?" Apple soon asked as she noticed something missing.
"Uh..." Cherry, Briar Beauty, and Mo paused thoughtfully.
"Unhexceptable!" Apple frowned. "The Evil Queen and King Sombra cannot be allowed to win like this! We have to do something."
"I'm sorry, Apple, but I think we're too late." Ashlynn told the girl.
"I'm afraid she's right." Patch said.
"You don't understand. This is all my fault," Apple told the others. "I set the Evil Queen free; I thought keeping her secret was going to be good for Ever After High, good for all of us, but look at all the trouble it led to!"
"Oh, Apple..." Crow said softly, though he let her let it all out.
"And Raven joining sides with her mother while Atticus does the same with his uncle?" Apple continued. "That's not the happily ever after she wanted! Please, help me fight back. Help me save Raven! We have dragons, we have the booking glass. We just need the passcode!"
"We've tried, Apple, but it's not like we can guess the combination," Darling frowned softly. "Daring just got lucky when he got captured!"
"Yeah! Before it gets worse!" Mo added.
"It got worse," Cherry said as she was turned the other way. "We have some company in a way that rips-off Maleficent."
"Oh, very funny." Faybelle smirked as she arrived on a dark dragon.
"Oh, joy. Faybelle." Patch said sarcastically.
The other students gasped out of fear while Cherry, Mo, and Patch looked mostly annoyed.
"Let me guess," Faybelle said before flying off of the dragon. "Don't know how to unlock the booking glass?"
"Well, no, not really." Cherry confessed.
Faybelle then snatched the booking glass right out of Darling's hand who then gasped in surprise. "One, two, three, four! That booking glass is locked no more!" she soon recited.
The booking glass then gleamed as the others watched the dark fairy as closely as possible.
"What shall I capture?" Faybelle smirked before holding the book close over to Sparrow who had a sandwich. "Hmm... What about a sandwich?"
The booking glass then instantly took the boy's sandwich before he could get a chance to bite into it.
"Okay, what gives?" Mo asked.
"Yeah, I don't understand," Darling added before asking, "Why are you switching sides?"
"This dark fairy is just out for revenge," Faybelle explained firmly. "I worked my wings off for that ungrateful queen! Let's see how well her wicked plans go without Faybelle in her corner!"
"But let me guess; this doesn't mean you're gonna be Miss Mary Sue Nice Girl to Everybody and you'll revert back to the way you were before all of this happened, right?" Cherry asked.
"That's for me to know and you to find out," Faybelle retorted. "But I say we rebell back against The Evil Queen and King Sombra."
"I agree." Mo nodded.
"Same here." Patch added.
"What are you waiting for, people?" Darling soon asked the others.
"Dragon up!" Apple soon proclaimed in excitement.
"Yeah, good for you guys," Cherry shrugged. "Those who actually have dragons."
"All of us are going." Patch said.
"I never said that I wasn't." Cherry replied.
Midnight soon pushed her forward from behind.
"Wah!" Cherry yelped as she soon walked to turn around in front of him. "Watch it, Giant Lizard."
All of the students soon got onto their respective dragons.
"Can't you... Ride these things with saddles?" Cherry asked flatly as she sat on Midnight with Crow.
"We would if we could, but they don't have dragon saddles." Crow told her.
"So this is what Raven meant." Patch said.
"Huh?" Mo asked Patch.
"'Somebody is going to have a change of heart'." Patch quoted.
"Yeah, that's what Raven said before she left." Darling nodded in agreement with the Dalmatian puppy.
"But what does that mean?" Apple asked.
"It means, that she knew Faybelle was going to get angry at the Evil Queen and switch sides!" Ashlynn explained based on what she knew.
"This was part of her plan all along!" Madeline added in realization. "She's playing her mother."
"And she knows that we're coming with the booking glass." Darling added.
"Raven's smart," Crow said to them. "Let's just hope we're not too late."
"Not to mention with Atticus's 'sitch'." Cherry added.
"So what are we waiting for? Let's go." Spyro said.
"All right, let's do this." Cherry said with a sharp sigh.
And so, the dragons took off and they were headed right for Ever After High.
