Neville doesn't start the day expecting to be splattered with flesh and glass.

In fact, he starts the day wearing pretty decent clothes. He hasn't treated himself to a day out in a while, so he decides to have a day just for himself, even getting dressed in a nice white button-down shirt. He then decides to go out for breakfast. He knows it's overpriced to eat at a restaurant, but it's a day for him.

He's only halfway through his hashbrowns when the windows shatter.

Neville's sprayed with tiny bits of glass. It gets into the squares of his waffle, and he doesn't think he's hungry much anymore.

Trying to stay calm, he slowly gets up from his seat. He's back in it in three seconds, though, because someone bursts through the door, looking terrified.

Before Neville can make any move, someone else runs in after the guy. Or, rather, something else, Neville realizes, because the thing running after the guy isn't human, not at all. Its skin is rotting and green, and its eyes are pure white.

Neville can feel the hashbrowns rolling around in his stomach.

Is that a zombie?

"Sorry," the guy says, running over to Neville's table, his messy black hair flying everywhere. He grabs the knife right off of Neville's plate and turns around just in time for the zombie to catch up to him.

The guy raises the knife high and brings it down, right into the zombie's head. Little bits of flesh go flying a bit.

Neville thinks he might throw up.

"There's an apocalypse," the guy says, turning around to face Neville once he's satisfied with the deadness of the zombie. Neville thinks that if he replies in any way he might throw right up. "I'm Harry," the guy says next, holding out a hand to Neville.

Neville reaches up to take it, but his stomach lurches.

His hashbrowns come right up.
