Chapter 18: Odaiba under Siege Part 4
The gang all jumped down the giant hole to a giant platform surrounded by a huge lake of lava.
Sora: Where are we?
Plucky: I don't know, kid. But I have a bad feeling about this.
Everyone then hears a laugh and turns around. They saw a floating red mask of Myotismon.
Myotismon's mask: You may have defeated me before, children. But I've yet to unleash my full power!
The mask then glows and engulfs the entire room in light. Everyone shields their eyes from the bright flash. Once the light dies down, everyone opens their eyes and saw a giant beast. It looks like Myotismon, but bigger and more demonic with a red upper body and a black lower body.
Sora: WHOA! He's the size of Godzilla! And he's hideous too!
Plucky:(Whimpers)No way am I going to fight that thing! It's nice knowing you, everybody.
Plucky tried to run, but there's no escape route. Demidevimon then flew in.
Demidevimon: Allow me to introduce you all to the new and improved VenomMyotismon.
Tai: VenomMyotismon?
Demidevimon: That's right. The king of the undead. He's the un and you're the dead.
VenomMyotismon: I'm hungry! Give me more energy!
Demidevimon: No problem, boss. You can start with the Digidestined and their Digimon. the Keyblade twerp and his friends can join too.
VenomMyotismon: I'll start with a little snack!
He then begins to inhale Demidevimon.
Demidevimon: WAIT! What are you doing?
Demidevimon tried to fly away, but he got swallowed by VenomMyotismon.
Tai: Now he has gone too far!
Metalgreymon: Let's go, Digimon!
Metalgreymon uses Mega Claw to fire his metal claw at VenomMyotismon. Weregarurumon climbs up to the vampire Digimon's face and uses Garuru Kick to slice open his forehead with a roundhouse kick. Garudamon uses Wing Blade, Lillymon uses Flower Cannon, and Megakabuterimon uses Horn Buster. Zudomon uses Hammer Throw to throw his hammer at VenomMyotismon. All of the attacks hit, but they barely fazed the vampire Digimon. VenomMyotismon responds by slashing Metalgreymon and sent him flying to the other Ultimates. All the Ultimates reverted back to their Rookie Forms.
Tai: AGUMON!
VenomMyotismon holds out his claw and tried to grab the Rookies, but Team Go-Getters came and stopped him. Cyndaquil uses Flame Wheel, Chikorita uses Magical Leaf, and Totodile uses Aqua Tail. They knocked VenomMyotismon down into the lava. The Digidestined ran up to their partners.
Tai: Are you OK, Agumon?
Agumon: I'm fine. He's too strong for us.
VenomMyotismon rises up from the lava.
VenomMyotismon: How come you little Pokemon are so strong?
Cyndaquil: We faced far worse than you!
Chikorita: We faced Legendary Pokemon who can destroy continents!
Totodile: We defeated Groudon who can move continents, Kyogre who controls the ocean, Rayquaza who can destroy a star, and many more!
Sora: Wow! You three little guys are so powerful!
Cyndaquil: Thanks, Sora.
Angemon: Me and Angewomon will help too!
Sora: Me, Plucky, and Dizzy will help also!
Chikorita: Great! The more the merrier!
Sora, Plucky, Dizzy, Angemon, Angewomon, and the Go-Getters went after VenomMyotismon. While the rest of the gang fights, Izzy pulls out his laptop and tried to analyze the vampire Digimon. The rest of the Digidestined and Digimon came to take a look. Izzy was shocked.
Tentomon: What is it, Izzy?
Izzy: I thought he was fully evolved before, but now he found some way of Digivolving into an even higher level. Some kinda Mega Digimon.
Joe: Hey, that's not fair! It's like changing the rules in the middle of the game!
Girl Sora: So what are we gonna do? Are we gonna stand there and do nothing?
Izzy: Hang on! I've got an email from Gennai!
He opens up an email on his computer and it shows an old man in black robes.
Gennai: Wonderful news, my friends. I may have found a way to defeat Myotismon once and for all.
Gennai shows an ancient tablet on the screen.
Gennai: It may look like a graham cracker, but it's actually an ancient text which I've translated. "In order to defeat the undead king, the angels must shoot arrows of hope and light at the loved ones of those they've been sent to protect, and a miracle will happen." That last part may seem weird, but good luck.
Mimi: Well, that was weird. What did it say about angels again?
Izzy looks at Angemon and Angewomon defending themselves from VenomMyotismon's attack. Then he looks back at the prophecy.
Izzy: It says that angels will shoot arrows of hope and light at the loved ones of those they have been sent to protect, and a miracle will happen.
Everyone looks back at the two angel Digimon.
Izzy: So if Angemon and Angewomon are the angels in the prophecy...
Joe: Then the ones they've been sent to protect are T.K. and Kari.
Izzy: That's right. The angels will shoot arrows at their loved ones.
Tai: What does that part mean?
Tentomon: It's quite simple. Allow me to explain. Say I'm kinda like a guardian angel. Whose guardian angel am I? Yours, Izzy. And who do you love the most?
Izzy: I was getting to that. My mom and dad, obviously.
Gomamon: Exactly. But T.K. and Kari not only have moms and dads, they have something else too.
Girl Sora: They have brothers.
Tentomon: In a word, BINGO!
Mimi: But why would you want them to shoot arrows at your loved ones? It sounds dangerous to me.
Gomamon: It may sound dangerous, but I'll buy it. All we've gotta do is get Angemon and Angewomon to hit Tai and Matt with their arrows of love.
Izzy: Hey, let's not get too hasty here.
Matt then turns to Tai.
Matt: What do you think?
Tai: It's worth a shot! Let's see there arrows of hope and light!
Matt: They'll have to shoot arrows at us.
Kari: You really want them to shoot you?
T.K.: What if you get like killed or something?
Matt: Never gonna happen.
Kari: OK, if you say so.
T.K. and Kari held up their Crests and called out their partners. Beams of light came out of the Crests and reached Angemon and Angewomon. They both now carry arrows of light.
T.K.: Angemon, listen up! I know this sounds crazy, but shoot Tai and Matt with your arrows!
Kari: You too, Angewomon!
Angemon: He's right.
Angewomon: Sounds crazy, but...
The angel Digimon turns to Tai and Matt.
Gabumon: Wait! Are you sure about this?
Agumon: What if that prophecy's wrong?
Tai: You guys want a miracle to happen?
Matt: Yeah. Miracles require a little faith. Are you scared Tai?
Tai: Not at all! How about you Matt?
Matt: Of course not! But maybe I'll just hang on to you to make sure you don't chicken out or something.
Tai: Yeah, right! I'll do the same for you, buddy.
Matt held onto Tai's hand as they stand together. Angemon and Angewomon readied their arrows.
Angemon: One miracle...
Angewomon: Coming right up!
The angels threw the arrows and hits the two boys. Light engulfs them which caused Agumon and Gabumon to glow.
Agumon: Agumon Warp Digivolve to...WARGREYMON!
Agumon transforms into a humanoid dragon covered in silver armor and helmet with golden wings and gauntlets with silver claws.
Gabumon: Gabumon Warp Digivolve to...METALGARURUMON!
Gabumon transforms into a wolf all covered in blue metal. Both Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon joins the fight.
Plucky: Who are they?
Sora: Agumon and Gabumon must have reached a new level.
Izzy: It's their new Mega Forms.
Dizzy: That cool!
VenomMyotismon: HA! No matter what forms you have, you still won't defeat me!
Wargreymon: We'll see about that!
Sora and Plucky uses their combined Blizzard attack on VenomMyotismon, Dizzy delivers flurries of Mega Punch and Mega Kick, Cyndaquil uses Double Kick, Chikorita uses Ancient Power, Totodile uses Ice Beam, Angemon uses Hand of Fate, and Angewomon uses Celestial Arrow. Metalgarurumon uses Garuru Tomahawk which he launches a giant missile from his chest. Wargreymon uses Brave Tornado which he spins around his body and creates a fiery tornado. All of the attacks hit VenomMyotismon in his groin as he grunts in pain and falls in the lava.
Sora: Did it work?
Suddenly, VenomMyotismon stands up and laughs.
VenomMyotismon: Did you think you can defeat me? HAHAHAHAHA! You've only awakened the beast from within!
An ugly black creature came out of his groin.
Tai: What is that thing?
The creature shoots a dark energy beam, hitting everyone. Everyone who got hit got up weakly.
Sora: He's just too strong!
Cyndaquil: Maybe we've underestimated him!
Chikorita: He's as strong as a Legendary Pokemon now!
Totodile: I wish I was much stronger now!
Plucky:(Whimpers)Maybe we should just surrender!
Dizzy: This is scarier than a horror movie!
Sora: What should we do?
Tai puts his hands on Sora's shoulder.
Tai: Don't lose hope, Sora. We would never give up.
The Digidestined's Crests started to glow. They shot beams of light towards VenomMyotismon, tying him up. The creature in his groin struggles too.
Creature: Curse you, Digidestined! Curse you and your lousy Crests! Let go of me!
Sora: I wonder if that thing is Myotismon's true form.
Tai: Then that means...Everyone, focus on that weird black creature!
Sora and Plucky uses Fire on the creature, Cyndaquil uses Overheat to charge up for a really powerful Flamethrower, Chikorita uses Solarbeam to charge up for an energy beam of sunlight, Totodile uses Hydro Pump to create a powerful stream of water, MetalGarurumon uses Ice Wolf Claw to shoot a powerful ice beam from his mouth, and Wargreymon uses Terra Force to charge up a giant fireball. All of the attacks hit the creature inside VenomMyotismon.
VenomMyotismon: CURSE YOU, DIGIDESTINED! CURSE YOU, DIGIMON! CURSE YOU, POKEMON! CURSE YOU, SORA, PLUCKY, AND DIZZY!
The vampire Digimon screams in pain as he crumbles into data.
Sora: We did it!
Tai: Way to go, guys!
Wargreymon, Metalgarurumon, Angemon, and Angewomon reverts back to their Rookie Forms.(Gatomon was actually Champion.)Suddenly, two crystals and a report came down. Sora grabs them. The two crystals started glowing and circled around Sora and Plucky.
Sora: What was that?
Plucky: Our Fire and Blizzard spells have been upgraded. Now they're Fira and Blizzara.
Sora then reads the report.
Sora: Guys, I found one of Ansem's Reports!
Everybody except Kari ran up to Sora. Kari was watching them and was so happy that they won. Unknown to her, a shadow crept up behind her and grabs her. T.K. and Gatomon turns to where Kari was, only to find her gone. All that's left was her Crest and device.
T.K.: Kari?
Gatomon: KARI! Where are you?
T.K. and Gatomon looks around for Kari. Before Sora and the gang can help, they know what must be done.
Plucky: Sora, we better seal the Keyhole before it's too late!
Izzy: First, we must get outta this lava room. Tentomon!
Tentomon: Right, Izzy!
Tentomon Warp Digivolves to Megakabuterimon and carries everyone back to the room with the giant door. T.K. took Kari's Crest and device. Sora walks over to the Keyhole.
Dizzy: Time for Keyhole to go bye-bye.
Sora points his Keyblade at the Keyhole and shot a beam at it. Upon contact, the Keyhole disappears with a click.
Sora: It will take a long time for the Heartless to find the Keyhole.
Suddenly, there was a rumble. The castle begins to collapse.
Dizzy: This place is going down!
Izzy: Megakabuterimon, get everyone outta here!
T.K.: But what about Kari? I'm not leaving without her!
Sora: She's not in this world anymore. I'll explain everything once we get outta here!
T.K. sighs sadly and went on Megakabuterimon. The gang escapes from the castle which collapsed completely. The mountain that holds the castle soon disappears.
Plucky: What happened to the mountain?
Gomamon: It must have returned back to the Digital World.
Megakabuterimon flew back to Odaiba back to an apartment building. He reverts back to Tentomon.
Sora: Where are we?
Tai: We're back at our homes.
Dizzy: This is your home?
Matt: Yes, we all live in that apartment building.
Dizzy: You all live together?
Joe: No, we don't live altogether in the same room.
T.K.: So what happened to Kari?
Sora explains everything to the Digidestined and that the Heartless took Kari.
T.K.: So, she's no longer in this world?
Sora nods sadly.
Tai: Then let's go. Take us with you. We could travel to other worlds and find Kari together.
Sora: Sorry, but you can't come with us.
Tai: W-Why not? Is it because our partners look weird?
Plucky: No! It's nothing like that.
Dizzy: We like Digidestined to come with us, but it be muddling.
Plucky: It's "meddling!"
Dizzy: Right! Dizzy knew that.
Sora: I'm sorry, guys. We wish we could bring you with us, but-
T.K.: It's alright, Sora. I missed her terribly and I know she's out there. So please, Sora. Find Kari and bring her back to me.
Tai: So you had feelings for her, T.K.? I won't stop you.
Sora: I'll bring Kari back here. I promise.
T.K. turns to Gatomon.
T.K.: Gatomon, can I ask you a favor?
Gatomon: What is it, T.K.?
Izzy: We made a promise that you Digimon would be free after Myotismon is defeated.
Joe: You can all go wherever you want.
Patamon: Did you here that guys? We're free!
T.K.: But it would be great if Gatomon could go along with Sora and help find Kari.
Gatomon: Sorry, T.K. But I can only take orders from Kari...But a favor, now that's a different story. Of course I will. After all, I'm here to protect Kari. And now I will find her.
T.K.: Thanks, Gatomon. You're a great friend. We'll always remember you.
T.K. then walks over to Sora.
T.K.: Sora, take this.
He hands Sora the Crest and device.
Sora: What's this thing?
Tai: It's called a Digivice. With it, you can take Gatomon with you. The Crest of Light will help her Digivolve if you need it.
Gatomon: So I guess I'll be your partner, Sora. Until we find Kari.
Sora and Gatomon gave a big hug. Patamon then flew over to Gatomon.
Patamon: Please be careful, Gatomon.
Gatomon: Don't worry, Patamon. I will.
Patamon and Gatomon gave a big hug too. Meanwhile, back in the villains lair, Team Rocket, Ganondorf, and Riku are here. They were watching the monitor. Giovanni sat back on his seat, petting his Persian.
Giovanni: And I thought you had to be smart to get the job done. Myotismon almost had em, if it weren't for the Digitwerps.
He then turns to Riku.
Giovanni: Someone I knew should have stuck around and help out.
Riku: Hey, I did my part. I brought you the Princess, didn't I? Besides, even if you were there, what would you have done? Have the Three Stooges parade in with their dumb motto?
James: HEY! Don't make fun of us! Team Rocket is...
Jessie hits James with the hammer, shutting him up.
Ganondorf: That's enough! Myotismon was far beyond our help. I warned him his own hatred would backfire and it did. We can't let that get to us. The things we desire are always blinded by hatred and one blinded by hatred can never find out what he is looking for.
Jessie: Since when did you become such an Einstein?
Ganondorf uses his dark wave and electrocutes Jessie, James, and Meowth. They all turned to ashes. They coughed out smoke and fell down.
Giovanni: It's about time somebody shut those three up.
Ganondorf: Anyway, before I was rudely interrupted, we all have failed our tasks because of this. Dr. Eggman losing the Master Emerald, Gemini Saga becoming the Pope of Athena, Myotismon seeking to destroy the Digidestined, and of course, our dear Giovanni who can't even capture a little rodent.
Giovanni: Oh come on! Those three dumbbells keep screwing up! I am very intelligent! I come up with business plans and I once funded to clone a Pokemon! I've only begun to capture that Pikachu!
He then turns to Riku.
Giovanni: By the way, boy. Have we got a surprise for you.
Riku: Wh-What do you mean?
Ganondorf: We had a deal. It's the tricks of trade, my friend. You give us something and we give you something in return. A young girl you have been searching for by the name of Kairi. We know where she is. Behold!
The monitor shows an image of Kairi floating out cold. Riku tried to grab it.
Riku: Kairi!
Ganondorf: Listen, you can get cozy with her when you actually find her. Go to her. We have a special vessel prepared for you.
Frieza enters the room on his capsule.
Ganondorf: Don't you ever walk, Frieza?
Frieza: Why walk when you can float around being an evil genius?
Ganondorf: Forget I asked.
Frieza: Now listen up! I just finished polishing my ship, so nothing to wild. And this isn't a pleasure cruise, so don't expect royal treatment.
Riku: Why are you doing this for me, Ganondorf? Is there a catch involved here or something?
Ganondorf: I'm appalled. Silly boy, there is no catch.
He walks over to Riku and puts his hands on his shoulders.
Ganondorf: You're like a son to me. I just want the best for you. I can't be bad all the time, you know.
Riku knocks Ganondorf's hand off him.
Riku: I seriously doubt that.
Ganondorf: After all the nice things I said and done for you, this is how you thank me? Don't come crying to me when the Heartless take your heart next. Just remember that I kept my end of the bargain.
Riku walks off silently and Frieza follows.
Giovanni: I'm surrounded by idiots.
Ganondorf: I HEARD THAT! NOW YOU'RE DEAD!
Giovanni screams and ran away with Ganondorf chasing him all around the room. Back in Odaiba, Sora and his friends said good-bye to the Digidestined. Tai also gave Sora the Keychain that looks like a Digivice called Digital Champion which he equips. The Keyblade now has a blue blade with a digital t-rex in the end. The trio returns to the Gummi Ship with a new friend. On the Gummi Ship, they saw Sweetie and Sneezer playing poker with Hamtaro and Bijou.
Sora: Hey, guys!
The four critters stopped what they're doing and saw Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy.
Sweetie: Sora, We've been waiting for you! What took you so long?
Sora: Sorry it took us a while. We had to save the world from an evil vampire.
Sneezer: Well, I'm glad you're back.
Sora: Guess what? I brought a new friend.
Sneezer: Really? Who is it?
Sora: Gatomon, come here.
Gatomon came walking in which made Hamtaro, Bijou, Sweetie, and Sneezer freak out.
Hamtaro, Bijou, Sweetie, & Sneezer: AAAAAHHHHH! A CAT!
Gatomon: Relax. I won't eat you.
Sweetie: Promise?
Gatomon: Yes. I don't eat hamsters, birds, or mice.
Hamtaro: Well, that's a relief.
Bijou: Oui. I can't stand cats.
Gatomon: Well, don't worry about me. I won't eat you.
Sora: So when's the next world?
Sweetie: The next world is east of here. It will take us 30 minutes to get here.
Plucky: Well, what are we waiting for? Let's Take off!
Sneezer: Aye aye, Sir!
Sweetie and Sneezer got on the controls while everyone else took their seats. The Gummi Ship left Odaiba and went off into space.
That's it for chapter 18. Sorry that Odaiba took so long, but I had alot of fun. The next world will be much shorter and it's a world that will be familiar for a certain duo that just traveled with Sora and the gang.
