Chapter 20: Trouble in Sweet Paradise Part 2
Sora and the Ham-Hams are chasing after Hamtaro and Bijou. Along the way, they saw Riku.
Sora: Riku! What happened to Hamtaro and Bijou?
Riku: Your friends got away from me, but I'll be going after them.
Sora:(Angry)What are you thinking? Why are you doing this?
Riku: Funny. I was about to ask you the same question. Why do you run around and show off that Keyblade of yours? Do you even wanna save Kairi?
Sora looks down on the ground after hearing that question.
Sora: I do wanna save Kairi. I should ask you that. You're the one who's been acting weird.
Before Riku could answer, everyone hears Hamtaro and Bijou's screams.
Boss: HAMTARO! BIJOU!
Riku: Looks like your friends are in trouble.
Plucky:(Sarcasm)Thanks for pointing that out, Einstein!
Dizzy: Hamtaro and Bijou in trouble! We gotta help!
Sora, Riku, and the rest of the gang left the forest and enters a meadow. There, they found a giant orange onion-shaped Heartless with two green tentacles. Inside it's cage-like mouth are Hamtaro and Bijou.
Stan: There's Hamtaro and Bijou!
Maxwell: That giant Heartless has trapped them!
Hamtaro: Thank goodness you guys are here!
Bijou: Be careful! Zhis monster is very powerful!
The giant Heartless roars. Pepper, Sandy, and Pashmina hid behind their respective boyfriends.(Oxnard, Maxwell, and Stan.) Suddenly, everyone hears laughter. The puff of smoke returns and reveals Spat.
Spat: Ham-Hams, I want you to meet Parasite Cage.
Oxnard: Well, it looks kinda like a parasite.
Plucky: We don't mean any harm, Spat.
Spat: That's Mr. Spat to you, duckling! Now you shall feel my wrath!
Boss: We gotta free Hamtaro and Bijou!
Sora drew out his Keyblade, ready to fight. Riku walks up next to him with his sword.
Riku: Hey, Sora. Do you think you're up for a fight?
Sora: No problem. I've dealt with much worse. Let's do it!
Sora pulls out the Digivice, releasing Gatomon. The gang charges towards Parasite Cage and Spat. Gatomon uses Lightning Paw on Spat, rapidly punching him. Plucky uses Fira on him while Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick. Spat counters against all of them with his own Thunder. Meanwhile, Sora and Riku are battling Parasite Cage. Sora uses Blizzara while Riku keeps slashing at the Heartless, doing some serious damage to it. The Heartless responds by swing it's tentacles around, knocking Sora and Riku back.
Sora: Man, that thing's really powerful!
Riku: Maybe we need a new strategy!
The Ham-Hams walked up to them.
Boss: Leave this to us!
Sora: Ham-Hams?
Howdy: We'll take care of this beast and free Hamtaro and Bijou!
Dexter: We may be small, but when we work together, we can overcome anything!
Riku: We'll take care Spat. You Ham-Hams will try to free your friends.
Ham-Hams: GOT IT!
Sora and Riku joins Plucky, Dizzy, and Gatomon fighting Spat. Sora and Riku hits Spat with their combos while the Ham-Hams took care of Parasite Cage. Most of the the Ham-Hams used Tack-Q, which involves rolling into the Heartless, Scrit-T, which involves scratching the Heartless, and PakaPaka, which involves biting the Heartless, while Lapis and Lazuli uses their magic on the Heartless. After taking so much damage from the Ham-Hams(Powerful little guys.),the Heartless released Hamtaro and Bijou. Riku grabs Hamtaro and Bijou, who were passed out earlier, and ran back to the forest.
Spat: CURSES! You may have won this round, Keyblade brat, but I'll be back!
He then disappears.
Dizzy: What a sore loser.
Cappy: He's one mean hamster, but with Riku around-
Plucky: Don't mean to burst your bubbles, but Riku took off with Hamtaro and Bijou.
Lazuli: Where they go?
Penelope: Ookwee?
Lapis: They ran back to the forest!
Sora: We gotta bring back Hamtaro and Bijou!
Sora and the Ham-Hams followed Riku all the way back to the house.
Panda: You guys came back!
Plucky: Well, we could have gotten here sooner for a piece of cake.
There was dead silence.
Howdy: And I thought my jokes were bad.
Plucky: Oh come on! At least I tried this time.
Sora: Anyway, where's Hamtaro and Bijou?
Panda: They're right there!
Everyone turns to see Riku on a cake mountain, holding Hamtaro and Bijou.
Stan: Let them go! What have they ever done to you?
Pashmina: That's right! They have done nothing to you!
Sandy: Let Hamtaro and Bijou go, you bully!
Penelope: Ookwee!
Riku: Sorry, little hamsters. I would love to, but I have some unfinished business with these two rats.
Boss: They're not rats! They are our friends!
Cappy: Yeah, you can take it up with all of us!
Riku: You hamsters are not the ones I need. I can sense special hearts coming from these two rodents. It's so rare for such animals to be born with these type of hearts. They might be able to help someone who has lost their heart.
Sora: Are you talking about Kairi?
Riku: Even if I am, does it matter to you?
He ran off with Hamtaro and Bijou.
Dizzy: What we do?
Boss: We need to go after them!
Sora: There's one problem. I can't jump that high!
Lazuli then walks over to Sora and pulls out a badge out of her pouch.
Lazuli: Sora can use this.
She gave the badge to Sora.
Sora: What is this?
Lapis: It's called a High Jump badge.
Lazuli: When Sora equips it, he can jump higher.
Lapis: Not only that, but your whole team gets the boost too.
Sora equips the badge and jumps alot higher. Plucky and Dizzy follows and jumps much higher too.
Plucky: You weren't kidding. It works on us too.
Maxwell: Now let's go help Hamtaro and Bijou!
All of the Ham-Hams except Panda and Snoozer followed Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy. They all went through the mountain regions of Sweet Paradise, fighting off Heartless along the way. They also found two chests along the way. One chest contains five Pikmin, the other chest contains a gem called the Dino Egg. It looks like a white egg with green spots all over it. At the end of the road, they reached the top of a mountain with a platform in the middle of a chocolate lake. There, they saw Riku looking down at Hamtaro and Bijou who are still unconscious.
Sora: Riku, let Hamtaro and Bijou go!
Riku: I can't. Their hearts may hold the key to helping Kairi. They have lost their hearts to the Heartless.
He turns to Sora.
Riku: How about it, Sora? Let's put our differences aside and join forces to save her.
Sora: Sorry, Riku. I can't.
He pulls out his Keyblade.
Riku: What? You rather fight me? Over two hamsters who don't have hearts?
Sora: Heart or no heart, at least they still have conscience.
Riku: Dude, you have to lay off the Disney movies.
Sora: I'm serious! You might not hear it, but right now, it's loud and clear. And my heart is telling me you're on the wrong side. You're hurting innocent people just to get Kairi back. You can't sacrifice other people just to get what you want.
Riku: If that's the way you wanna play, then fine. You leave me with no choice.
Elder-Ham ran over to Hamtaro and Bijou.
Elder-Ham: Hamtaro! Bijou! Please wake up!
Hamtaro and Bijou slowly wakes up.
Hamtaro: Elder-Ham...I'm not gonna make it.
Elder-Ham: Then why do you sound normal?
Bijou: Oh. I guess we're OK.
Elder-Ham: You two run back to the other Ham-Hams! I would love to go with you, but Sora needs me.
The three Ham-Hams ran back to Sora and the gang who are smiling. All of a sudden, the Parasite Cage falls from the sky and lands on the platform. Spat was with the Heartless.
Spat: I told you that I'd be back! And this time, I will win!
Stan: Like how? We've beaten you multiple times!
Spat: Oh, have you? But now the tides will turn!
He pulls out a blue and yellow-striped ball.
Maxwell: It's the Sweet Stone!
Spat: Correct. It's also the heart of this world. Once I give it to the Heartless, this world will be consumed by the darkness.
Boss: Well, we can't let that happen!
Spat: It's too late, Ham-Hams!
He threw the stone down to a dark portal.
Cappy: OH NO! The Sweet Stone is gone!
Penelope: Ookwee!
Spat: Now this world will soon plunge into darkness! And you Ham-Hams will be joining along with it!
He then turns to Riku.
Spat: Return back to Lord Ganondorf. I'll deal with those brats.
Riku nods and enters through the dark portal. Spat then prepares to attack.
Spat: Now you're all finished!
He fires a lightning bolt at the gang, but it was blocked by a heart protecting the gang.
Spat: WHAT?
A sparkle appears, revealing a white hamster who looks like an angel with angelic wings, wearing a halo, and carrying a star rod.
Ham-Hams: Harmony!
Spat: Not you again!
Harmony: Spat, your reign of terror is coming to an end! You've tried to destroy the Ham-Hams and tried to conquer this world too! How can you justify yourself?
Spat: I don't need to explain myself to a hamster like you! It is my destiny to plunge this world into darkness! And no angel or Ham-Ham has the power to stop me!
Plucky: Where have I heard that before? Now Spat and Harmony are starting to sound like Myotismon and Angewomon.
Sora: Harmony, we'll take care of Spat and the Heartless! You take the Ham-Hams and get outta here!
Harmony: Got it, Sora. But be careful.
She leads the Ham-Hams out of the mountain.
Dizzy: Dizzy have bad feeling about this.
Plucky: Kid, let's take care of these guys first!
Sora uses his Digivice again, releasing Gatomon. The four charges at Spat and Parasite Cage. Gatomon and Dizzy uses the Lightning Paw and Spin Attack combo on Spat while Sora and Plucky uses the Fira and Blizzara combo on Parasite Cage. They did alot of damage to Spat and Parasite Cage, but the two counters with Thunder and Poison. Spat's Thunder hits Dizzy and Gatomon while the Parasite Cage's Poison hits Sora and Plucky. The gang barely stood up.
Dizzy: OW! Dizzy got electrocuted!
Plucky: These two are much stronger than before!
Sora: We need more power! Gatomon!
Sora pulls out the Crest of Light which glows and Gatomon Digivolves to Angewomon. Sora uses Sonic Blade on Spat and the Parasite Cage, Plucky uses Thunder on Parasite Cage, Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick on Spat, while Angewomon uses Heaven's Charm, which creates a pink cross-shaped energy wave, and hits both Spat and Parasite Cage. The Heartless disintegrates with a heart coming out. Spat got up slowly.
Spat: Now...now you've done it!
Sora: Everybody, look at Spat's costume!
Spat: My costume? What are you talking about?
He looks at his whole body and notices he has angelic wings and a halo.
Spat: AHH! I've been turned into an angel! Now I can't do evil in this pooie getup!
He freaks out while everybody else bursts out with laughter. Suddenly, a scroll came in Sora's hand. He reads the scroll and stops time surrounding him.
Sora: What happened?
Plucky: You have learned the Stop spell. You can now stop time.
Sora: Alright! That could come in handy.
Suddenly, everyone feels the ground shaking.
Dizzy: What was that?
Spat: That's the sound of this world falling into darkness. The Heartless has devoured the Sweet Stone. You may laugh at me before, but who's got the last laugh now?
Sora: Everybody, we must get back to the Gummi Ship!
Plucky: But we don't have time to escape!
Suddenly, the Gummi Ship has appeared.
Sweetie: Don't worry, guys! We'll help you get out!
Plucky and Dizzy ran to the ship while Sora looks around for Riku.
Sora: Riku! Where are you?
Plucky: No time to look for him, kid! This world will be destroyed!
Sora sighs and ran back to the Gummi Ship.
Spat: HEY! WAIT FOR ME!
The Gummi Ship took off as the world gets consumed by darkness, taking Spat with it. Meanwhile, back aboard Frieza's Ship, Riku has found Kairi, but not too happy to see her. She was lifeless and pale as a ghost. Riku sighs very sadly as Ganondorf looks over him and puts his hand on his shoulder.
Riku: So it's true. She's a lifeless puppet now, right?
Ganondorf: I'm afraid so.
Riku: And her heart?
Ganondorf: Taken by the Heartless, no doubt.
Frieza: This is ridiculous!
Ganondorf: What was that?
Frieza: I mean, who wants pancakes?
Ganondorf: I'd love some. But first, I have work to do.
Frieza sighs, as Ganondorf turns back to Riku.
Ganondorf: Sorry, but I wasn't expecting this to happen.
Riku: I'll do anything to get her back! Please! Is there something I can do?
Ganondorf: There is one way. There are seven maidens with the most pure hearts. We called them the Princesses of Heart. When they are gathered together, a door will open to the heart of all worlds.
Riku: The heart of all worlds?
Ganondorf: Untold wisdom rests within there. I'm sure there will lie something you can use to find Kairi's heart.
Riku: Then I'll find the Princesses. Anything to save Kairi.
Ganondorf: Good! Then I shall grant you a marvelous gift.
He raised his hand and the Triforce of Power is shown.
Ganondorf: Behold! the power to control the Heartless!
A green energy surrounds Riku as he felt a great power rushing through his veins. As the power dims down, he turns to Kairi.
Riku: Soon, Kairi. Soon.
He turns back to Ganondorf.
Riku: But what about Sora? Didn't Spat take care of him?
Ganondorf: Spat has failed to stop him. He was consumed by the darkness of his world. It doesn't matter. I'm sure King Dedede, Dr. Wily, and Frieza will entertain him. Speaking of Frieza...
He turns to Frieza.
Ganondorf: Where are my pancakes?
Frieza: Well...you...see...uhh...
Ganondorf: I said now!
He chased Frieza around the room, demanding pancakes. Back with the heroes, they barely escaped Sweet Paradise which was consumed by the darkness.
Elder Ham: I wonder if Hamtaro, Bijou, and the others got out safely?
Sneezer: Hopefully they landed somewhere safe.
Sweetie: I'm gonna miss Hamtaro and Bijou. I had lots of fun with them.
Dizzy was crying because of Sweet Paradise's destruction.
Dizzy: WAAAAAH! Dizzy never get to try candy at Sweet Paradise!
Sora was looking outside the window, looking very glum.
Sora: Riku...what happened? You were my best friend. How could you betray me?
He puts his head down and sniffles. Somebody grabs his hand, trying to comfort him. To his surprise, it was not Dizzy, but it was Plucky.
Plucky: Relax, kid. Everything will be alright.
Sora looks back down in sadness.
Plucky: I know you're sad about Riku betraying you, but we can't let that stop us. The Heartless are playing tricks on him, I'm sure.
Sora: Y-You think so?
Plucky: Of course! We don't know everything about the Heartless, but it's quite possible. You just need to keep a positive attitude and build a bridge to get over your problems.
Sora: That sounds like an afterschool special. What do you watch on TV?
Plucky: Well...umm...none of your business!
Dizzy: Barney the Dinosaur?
Plucky: I DID NOT!
Dizzy: Just kidding!
Sora laughs, finally all cheered up.
Sora: I'm not done yet! I'll find a way to save Riku!
Dizzy: That the spirit!
Sora: Besides, I had alot of fun in this adventure. I've never experienced so much before. Meeting new people, visiting new places, and Plucky falling and running into things.
Plucky: I don't run and fall into things!
Sora: I've never met a clumsy duck, a Tasmanian Devil, and a talking hamster.
Elder-Ham: Why, thank you, Sora. There are many things to see out here.
Sora: I'm going to see all the worlds! And when I find Riku and Kairi, we'll go together! Why are we back here anyways?
Elder Ham: You did find some torn pages and another Summon Gem, right?
Sora: Yes I did. We should see Mumbo and Wumba.
Plucky: Good idea! Back to Traverse Town!
The Gummi Ship uses the Warp Drive to teleport back to Traverse Town.
That's it for chapter 20. Sorry for a massive cast of characters in this world. Both Digimon and Hamtaro had a huge cast of characters. But I can assure you that the next world will have a smaller cast. But first, we will go back to Traverse Town and a certain world for a tournament.
