Chapter 25: Sora's Dreamland Adventure Part 3
Sora and the gang follows Kirby to the castle when Kirby stops and looks strangely at a tree.
Tiff: Kirby? What's wrong?
Tiff turns to the direction of where Kirby was looking and saw a mysterious caped figure walk out of the shadows. He looks at the group with glowing eyes, mostly at Sora.
Creature:(Mexican accent)So, it's true then.
Tuff: It's Meta-Knight! What's up?
Plucky: You know this guy?
Tiff: Yeah, Meta-Knight is a Star Warrior like Kirby. He came from another world after battling a monster named Nightmare. And with Sword and Blade, they pretended to be loyal to Dedede.
Sora: So you came from another world?
Meta-Knight nods, causing Sora to whisper to Plucky.
Sora:(Whispering)They know he's from another world. Why can't we tell them where we're from?
Plucky: Kid, this guy is foolish. He doesn't follow the rules of the world order. We however are smart and play it safe.
Tiff: Why are you here? Do you know why those black creatures are attacking?
Meta-Knight: It's Nightmare's vile handy work. I have feared that the day will come. Soon he might strike again and Dreamland will be in grave danger.
Rick: Don't worry. Kirby will take care of them.
Tuff: Yeah! He's one tough dude!
Kirby: Poyo!
Meta-Knight: I'm afraid it's not that simple. As you know, thousands of us battled him, but we couldn't even win. I was the only surviving one.
Sora: That guy must be brutal.
Meta-Knight: Yes, but he is more powerful now because of the darkness.
He then took out a golden sword with spiky edges.
Meta-Knight: That's why I must test the power of the one who holds the key. To see if he can defeat it.
Sora: You wanna fight me?
Meta-Knight: En garde!
He charges at Sora and thrust his sword, but Sora dodges and took out his Keyblade. He clashes with Meta-Knight who deflects the Keyblade with his sword. He then swipes at Sora's feet who jumps over the attack, landing behind him. Sora uses Stun Impact which paralyzes Meta-Knight. He proceeds to hit him with Keyblade combos. Meta- Knight soon recovers and clashes with Sora again. Meta-Knight jumps up and sent flying kicks at Sora who blocks them with his Keyblade. Meta-Knight brought his sword down at Sora, but he dodges the attack. Sora slashes at Meta-Knight, but he backflips over the attack. They both clashed again and then jumped back.
Tuff: Wow! Sora's good!
Meta-Knight: Impressive. Your spirit is strong, my friend. But your feet are big.
Sora: For saying that, you're going down!
Meta-Knight uses Sword Beam to fire blade cutters which Sora dodges. Sora uses Strike Raid to hit Meta-Knight at a distance. Meta-Knight uses Drill Rush, spinning his whole body like a drill, and charges at Sora, but he dodges the attack. Meta-Knight then use Mach Tornado, spinning like a tornado, but Sora dodges it. Sora counters with Sonic Blade, rushing at Meta-Knight, and knocking the sword out of his hand. Sora grabs the sword and points it at Meta-Knight.
Sora: Give up?
Meta-Knight: I surrender.
Tiff: Wow! He's really good. Kirby barely stood a chance against Meta-Knight and Sora just took him down without a scratch.
Plucky: Well...this kid likes to fight alot. He was only warming up against your friend.
Tiff & Tuff: Cool!
Sora hands the sword to Meta-Knight who stood up.
Meta-Knight: You truly are a great fight. And a good sport as well.
Sora: You too. That was fun.
Meta-Knight: But I'm afraid this is a serious matter. Let's hope that you have the strength to defeat Nightmare.
Sora: OK. Whatever you say.
Rick: Look! Kirby ran off!
Everyone turns to see that Kirby did run off.
Tiff: We have to go, Meta-Knight. Are you sure you'll be OK?
Meta-Knight: I'm fine, but it's the citizens of Dreamland that I'm worried about. I'm also worried about your father. He hasn't been himself.
Tuff: Come on, sis! Kirby's getting away!
Tiff: We'll see you later, Meta-Knight.
Everyone ran to the castle to catch up with Kirby, leaving Meta-Knight behind.
Meta-Knight: I must go to the Fountain of Dreams. I hope it isn't overrun by the Heartless.
He then left in the shadows. Sora's group returns back to the castle where they saw Kirby enter through the back entrance. The group follows Kirby until they reached the secret room that he shows them a while ago.
Sora: I wonder why he led us back there.
Plucky: I'm not sure.
Kirby walks into the room with the star and the others followed. Kirby jumps up and down, pointing at a star symbol which was engraved on the wall.
Tiff: I get it! Kirby thinks that the star goes on that engravement.
Dizzy: Let see what happen.
Tiff took the star and puts it on the engravement. The star starts glowing. The group looks at it with awe. Suddenly, the door slams open and the gang turns to see a very upset Sir Ebrum with the twins.
Ebrum: Tiff, you disobeyed me again! I told you not to leave the castle!
Tuff: Dad! What are you doing here?
Tiff: How did you find out about this place?
Ebrum: Fololo and Falala told me.
Tiff looks at the twins with shock.
Tiff: How could you?
Fololo & Falala: We're sorry, Tiff.
Ebrum: You don't have to be sorry. You had the right to tell me.
Plucky: It wasn't her fault!
Kirby walks forward and puts his head down.
Ebrum: So you were the one who put my daughter in grave danger, Kirby?
Kirby nods sadly.
Ebrum: THEN GET OUTTA MY SIGHT! I DON'T WANT YOU NEAR MY DAUGHTER AGAIN!
Kirby walks out of the room sadly.
Tiff: Daddy! Why?
Ebrum: I'm doing it for your own safety.
Tiff: My own safety? You're tearing my friends away from me and you call that safety?
Before Ebrum could respond, he saw the crystal star on the wall.
Ebrum: And what is that?
Tuff: It's a crystal star that we found.
Ebrum walks over to it and without speaking, he grabs it and was ready to throw it.
Tiff: Daddy! NO!
Ebrum threw the star into the ground, smashing it into pieces. Tiff looks at the smashed crystal star and broke into tears.
Tiff: Why are you doing this to me?
She ran out of the room crying. Tuff and Rick followed.
Tuff: Wait up, sis!
Ebrum then turns to Sora and the gang.
Sora: What right do you have to treat your daughter like this? She told me that you would trust her with your life. She understands the danger, but I'm sure she would have proceeded with caution. Besides, it wasn't Kirby's fault for letting her outta the castle. But even if it was, you shouldn't just ban him from seeing Tiff. It was our fault for letting her outta the castle.
Ebrum: Enough! Young man, I would call your parents, but it would be too long of a distance to reach them.
Sora: What do you mean?
Ebrum: You're not from Ice Cream Island. You're not even from another part of Dreamland. You're from another world, aren't you?
The three gasps upon hearing that.
Ebrum: And you must be the key bearer.
Sora: But how did you know?
Ebrum: I've seen hundreds of other world visitors and those Cappy disguises aren't exactly fitting. Including that Tasmanian Devil looking one.
Dizzy growls at Ebrum and turns away.
Ebrum: You may fool my children, but you can't fool me. As the key bearer, you must know that one should not meddle in the affairs of other worlds.
Sora: Trust me. I hear that all the time. But still-
Ebrum: I am the Court Official and I know all the laws. You have violated this principle. The only thing a key bearer can bring is chaos and destruction. You are the one who is endangering my children and our home.
Dizzy: Sora not like that! Sora stop bad guys!
Plucky: Yeah! He saved alot of worlds! You can't assume anything, mister!
Ebrum: That's enough! The law is the law. I thank you kindly for protecting my children. But there is no room for you or that key.
He walks out the door, leaving a concerned Sora who was looking at his Keyblade.
Sora: Do I really cause destruction?
Plucky: No, Sora.
He pats his friend's back.
Plucky: You've done many great things already. There's just one person out there who has a different opinion. Not everyone is going to agree with what you're doing. Even I don't agree with the fact that we've been meddling in the affairs of other worlds. But we have no choice in the matter. Why don't we just get outta here then?
Sora: But I wanna make sure Tiff and Kirby are OK.
Plucky: Listen, we've gotten into enough trouble already. Let's just go while we still have a chance. Come on, Dizzy.
The trio left the room in silence. Meanwhile, Kirby was sitting on a tree stump alone, looking up at the sky. He cried, knowing that he would never see Tiff again. It brought back memories of when he first met her, how he saved her life when she fell off a cliff, and how she hid him from Dedede. He returns to his half egg-shaped house and returns to his bed. Before he could sleep, somebody knocks at his door. He answers it to see Escargoon. Next to him was Sword and Blade who had some weird collars around their necks. Kirby tried to run, but Escargoon grabs him and puts him in a bag.
Escargoon: Nice try, pinkie. But his Highness requires your presence at once.
He gave the bag to Sword.
Escargoon: Take him to the throne room!
Sword & Blade: Yes sir!
The three proceeds back to the castle. They finally arrived at the throne room to later see Dedede waiting for them with a gleeful look.
Dedede: Good! You guys got him. Now release him!
The knights opened the bag and released Kirby. He then saw Dedede approaching.
Dedede: Kirby, my dear friend. How are you doin, buddy? Are you hungry? I could give you some food.
Kirby shook his head.
Dedede: No? Well, I overheard yer dilemma and you could use some help.
Escargoon: What? You're actually going to-
Dedede hits Escargoon with the hammer. He then turns back to Kirby.
Dedede: Sorry about that. So yer little friend Tiff wanted to see other worlds with you, right?
Kirby nods.
Dedede: I could make that arrangement. As a reformed King, I'll do what's best for you. Besides you, Meta-Knight and these two gents, Sword and Blade came from another world. As well as yer new friends who just came to Cappy Town.
Kirby gasps realizing that Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy weren't from Dreamland, but from another world.
Sword: So we can help you, Kirby. But your going to have to act for us.
Kirby then looks at King Dedede with a look telling he didn't trust the king.
Dedede: You don't trust me? I've turned over a new leaf, Kirby. From now on, I'm goin to help those in need. And if you wanna help Tiff, you'll do it.
Kirby hesitates at first, but then complied and left with the King. Meanwhile, Tiff was in her room, crying in her bed. She sadly looks up and sniffles her tears away. She sat on her bed and looks out the window.
Tiff: Kirby, if only I could see you one last time.
Suddenly, the door opens and Kirby walks in.
Tiff: Kirby!
She ran over to hug him.
Tiff: I'm so glad you're here! But you need to leave here before my dad comes back!
Suddenly, Dedede and Escargoon enters the room. Tiff gasps upon seeing them.
Tiff: King Dedede! What are you doing here?
Dedede: Don't get mad, dear. I'm not the same Dedede you used to know. Now helpin others is what I do. So you wanna see other worlds?
Tiff: How do you know?
Dedede: That shouldn't be too hard. Besides, yer new friends came from another world.
Tiff: What? Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy are from another world too?
She was shocked to hear that those three visitors were from another world as well. Usually, she would have good judgement to decline the offer, but with everything that has happened, she was ready for a change in her life.
Dedede: Now, cheer up, sweetheart. You have something special too.
Tiff: So what do we have to do?
Dedede: I'll explain on the way to the Fountain of Dreams.
Dedede and Escargoon escorts Kirby and Tiff out of the room. Sora's group were on their way to the Gummi Ship. Sora was still concerned about his new friends, but slowly began to rub it off. As they finally reached Cappy Town, they hear a familiar voice.
?:(Mexican accent)Giving up already?
They turned to see Meta-Knight in front of them.
Plucky: Meta-Knight? What do you want now?
Meta-Knight: I'm afraid things has gotten worse since you have left the castle. Soon Nightmare will return and bring darkness to this world.
Plucky: It's not our concern. You and I know that we can't meddle in the affairs of other worlds. It's a rule.
Meta-Knight: True, but rules can be bent. The Keyblade Master who defeated me is backing down from a challenge?
Sora: I'd never do that!
Dizzy: Sora never quit!
Meta-Knight: As the one who must defeat the Heartless, it is your destiny. You must also seal the Keyhole to bring peace. And because of those Heartless, they manipulated Sir Ebrum and King Dedede.
Sora: I knew it!
Meta-Knight: Sir Ebrum would have never been so cruel to his daughter. He puts 100% trust in her.
Plucky: How do you know all this? The Heartless, the Keyblade, and the Keyhole?
Meta-Knight: Because your King told me this.
The trio was shocked upon hearing what Meta Knight said.
Plucky: You know King Buster?
Meta-Knight: Yes. Awhile back, we have discovered that Nightmare works for a force higher than himself. Sword, Blade, and myself traveled to other worlds in search of a man named Ansem who may have known something. I've heard stories about this legendary ruler and hoped we could speak with him. Our travels brought us to a place called Traverse Town where the Heartless ambushed us. We fought with all our hearts, but we couldn't defeat them. We were so close to our demise until this blue bunny saved us.
Plucky: That was Buster alright!
Meta-Knight: We were in his debt, a debt that cannot be repaid. He told us about the Keyblade and the Keyhole. That's when I knew that the only way we could stand a chance against the Heartless was the find this Keyblade. Please, Keyblade Master. Bring an end to Nightmare and protect the ones I love. Young Tiff and Kirby have shown me something no one has ever shown me before. Friendship. I've never admitted this, but they're like family to me. I wish not to lose them nor Sword and Blade.
Sora: Well, guys. Are you ready to go back?
Plucky: Why not?
Dizzy: Dizzy rock and roll!
Sora: You can count on us!
Meta-Knight: Thank you, my friends. There's no time. Kirby and Tiff are in danger. Dedede is leading them into his hands. We have to get over to the Fountain of Dreams.
Sora: Then let's go!
Sora's group and Meta-Knight ran to the Fountain of Dreams, hoping they're not too late.
