Chapter 27: Sora's Dreamland Adventure Part 5
Dedede and Escargoon appears behind a bush near the Fountain of Dreams with dizzy looks. The two villains got up and brushed themselves off.
Escargoon: Well, Your Highness. I believe this was the most failed attempt ever to defeat Kirby.
Dedede: Silence! So Kirby foiled my plans again. We'll get him next time! All we have to do is call Ganondorf and...
Before he could finish, he saw Ganondorf walk up to the Fountain of Dreams. Dedede and Escargoon hid back behind the bushes and watched to see what Ganondorf was doing. Ganondorf looks up at the Fountain of Dreams and smiles.
Ganondorf: Perfect. Everything is going as planned. That dumb penguin Dedede led us right into our trap. Once those brats place the Star Rod back up, Nightmare will be revived and use it's powers to take over Dreamland.
He laughs evilly and disappears, leaving a baffled Dedede and Escargoon.
Escargoon: Well, Sire. We've been made fools of the entire time.
Dedede: GRR! First Nightmare Enterprises and now Ganondorf! I hate it when they trick me like that! And no one tricks Dedede like that! Escargoon, there's only one way to get back at those punks!
Escargoon: Sire, you're not saying that we're going to have to-
Dedede: I'm afraid we're goin to have to h...h...h...help Kirby.
Escargoon faints upon hearing those words. The gang finally arrives at the Fountain of Dreams. Chief Bookem was waiting for them.
Bookem: Thank goodness you kids are back. Now we can finish this mess.
Sora: Kirby, how about doing the honors?
Kirby nods and walks over to the fountain with the Star Rod. Suddenly, Dedede jumps out from behind the bushes and grabs Kirby's feet which caused everyone to gasp.
Dedede: Kirby, you gotta believe me here! Whatever you do, don't put the Star Rod back onto the fountain!
Tiff: And why should he listen to you? The odds of you telling the truth is one in a billion. Leave Kirby alone!
Dedede: No! I'm tellin the truth! If you put the Star Rod back in the fountain, somethin terrible will happen!
Kirby didn't listen and uses the Star Rod to knock Dedede back. He jumps onto the fountain and places the Star Rod back on, but when he did, something terrible did happen. The dark clouds came brewing in and the water from the fountain has turned black. The Star Rod flew up into the sky and a blue ball appears in the sky as well, laughing maniacally.
Sora: What is that?
Meta-Knight: That, my friend, is Nightmare.
Dedede: I told you! And ya all didn't believe me!
Tiff: Wow! Dedede actually told us the truth for once.
Tuff: I thought Kirby got rid of Nightmare.
Rick: Well, we have to stop him again or Dreamland is doomed!
Sora: Leave it to us! Me, Kirby, Plucky, and Dizzy will take this creep down once and for all!
Sora uses the Dino Egg to release Yoshi once again. Yoshi pulls out a Smash Ball and starts to grow wings. He became a Super Dragon and Sora rode him. The Star Rod fell back into the ground and Kirby grabs it.
Tiff: Kirby needs to get up there! Kabu, send us the Warpstar!
In the distance, a giant brown tiki-like statue heard the call and responds.
Kabu: WARPSTAR!
A giant yellow star flew out of the tiki's mouth and flew towards Kirby. Kirby jumps on the Warpstar and joins Sora and Yoshi.
Sora: So that's the Warpstar, huh? I think I have the badge for it.
He pulls out his Multi-Warpstar badge and activates it, creating two more Warpstars for Plucky and Dizzy.
Plucky: Alright! Now me and Dizzy have our own Warpstars.
Dizzy: Warpstar look like fun to ride. Dizzy love rides.
Plucky and Dizzy went on their Warpstars, then Plucky went flying everywhere and flew into the ground. Everyone laughs at Plucky who had his face in the ground.
Plucky: Ugh! Stop laughing at me! It's not funny!
He took his head off the ground and went back on his Warpstar.
Meta-Knight: Be careful, Keyblade Master. And you too, Kirby. Thousands of us battled him and we still couldn't win. But you four are strong enough to take him on.
Tiff: Good luck! Be careful, you guys!
Sora, Yoshi, Kirby, Plucky, and Dizzy flew off into space. Plucky was having a hard time controlling his Warpstar, but soon caught up with the rest of the gang. They followed the blue ball to the moon.
Sora: Nightmare, stop what your doing or else!
Nightmare: Or else what, child? You fools don't realize who you're up against. I rule Dreamland now!
Plucky: We'll see about that!
Nightmare: Very well! I shall have my revenge against Kirby and destroy the Keyblade wielder at the same time! Dreamland and it's entire population shall bow down before my power!
The blue ball then transforms into a giant figure wearing a blue cape around his body and a giant white face with a wicked smile.
Sora: Man, that smile almost lives up to VenomMyotismon on the creepiness level.
Nightmare fires some stars at our heroes from his white skinny hand which they dodged. Yoshi swallows some of them, turning them into eggs. He shot more stars which Kirby counters with his Star Rod. He then fires a yellow beam from his mouth which our heroes dodged. Plucky got better at riding his Warpstar, so he could dodge attacks alot faster. Nightmare then casts Thunder which hits our heroes. He then fires dark waves at them which they dodged.
Sora: Man, he's really powerful! We better finish him off!
Sora and the gang attacks Nightmare in the head, but it did no damage to him. They then noticed Nightmare's open cape, revealing a dark core inside.
Dizzy: Over there! That may be weak spot!
Yoshi threw his eggs at the dark core, Kirby fires some stars from his Star Rod, Dizzy uses his Spin Attack, and Sora and Plucky uses Fira on Nightmare, doing some damage to him.
Nightmare: So you've discovered my weak spot, huh? I'm impressed. I usually never have to use my full power to defeat anyone. I'm more surprised that only five of you are actually able to keep up with me. Thousands of warriors battled me and couldn't defeat me.
Sora: That's because we work as one! Our friendship makes us stronger than any other force out there! You can never defeat us!
Nightmare: Your pathetic friendship can't destroy me!
Plucky: We'll see about that!
Nightmare uses Thunder again to zap everyone, sending them flying across the area. Kirby, Plucky, and Dizzy almost fell off their Warpstars, but they got back on. Nightmare fires more stars which Kirby deflects. Yoshi threw more eggs at the dark core, Kirby fires more stars, Sora uses the Strike Raid, Plucky uses Blizzara, and Dizzy uses Spin Attack. All the attacks did some more damage to Nightmare.
Nightmare: You fools! I've had enough of this child's play! It's time for you all to die!
Nightmare fires another giant beam from his mouth while Yoshi uses Super Fire Breath and Kirby fires a giant Star Beam. The beams collided with each other with the fighters struggling with the attacks. Finally, Yoshi and Kirby pushed their beam up which Nightmare tried to push back, but it was too strong. The beam hits Nightmare in the face, causing him to scream in pain. His cape flew open and Yoshi and Kirby aims their beam at the core, destroying it. Suddenly, Nightmare began glowing with light all around his chest.
Nightmare: NO! HOW COULD I, THE UNSTOPPABLE NIGHTMARE, BE DEFEATED BY THAT YOUNG STAR WARRIOR AND THE KEYBLADE MASTER IN TRAINING? YOU MAY HAVE DEFEATED ME, BUT YOU'LL NEVER DEFEAT LORD GANONDORF!
He then explodes, causing a piece of the moon to disappear. The citizens of Dreamland watched as the ray of light flashed from the sky. They all then cheered for Sora and the gang as they returned to the ground. Yoshi returns to his Dino Egg. Plucky stood in front of the heroes, trying to act all popular.
Plucky: Thank you! Thank you! There will be autograph signing later!
He got thrown a pie in his face as the citizens surrounded the heroes, congratulating them. Sora got a crystal which upgrades his Thunder to Thundara and an Ansem Report left by Nightmare. Meta-Knight watches from a distance and had a tear coming down his face.
Meta-Knight: Thank you, my friends. My fellow Star Warriors are now avenged. We shall find a new home to settle down in and start a new life now that Nightmare is gone for good.
Sword: And it's all thanks to Kirby and that spiky-haired kid.
Blade: Thank you, Keyblade Master.
The three knights left together, knowing that they could start a happy new life. Kirby held the Star Rod, getting ready to put it back in the fountain.
Ebrum: Thank you, Keyblade Master for everything. I'm sorry for the way I've acted. When that creature took over me, I was doing my best to protect my children and it got outta hand.
Tiff: By the way, dad. Why did you smash the crystal star.
Sora: Yeah. What was so important about it?
Ebrum: It was the key to revealing the Keyhole.
Tiff: Daddy!
Lady Like: Darling!
Sora and Plucky groans and smacks their foreheads.
Plucky: So it was right under our noses that whole time!
Dizzy: Now what we do?
Ebrum: Don't worry. The Star Rod also has the power to reveal the Keyhole. You should be able to find it.
Tiff: Where do we go find it?
Ebrum: Tiff! You should know better than that. You're a very intelligent young lady and you don't know where the Keyhole is? It's in Kirby's secret area of course.
He turns to Sora.
Ebrum: Key bearer, I have one final request. Would you kindly seal the Keyhole? I wanna see that the nightmare is truly over.
Plucky: Please don't say nightmare anymore. It was bad enough just to fight one.
Everyone starts laughing and Sora's group left. They returned to the castle and proceeded downstairs to Kirby's secret area. Kirby took out the Star Rod and fires a beam at the engravement which reveals the Keyhole. Sora took his Keyblade out and fires a tiny beam at the Keyhole. Upon contact, the Keyhole disappears with a click. Sora puts his Keyblade away as Tiff approaches him.
Tiff: Hey, Sora. Tell me what your world is like.
Sora: Oh yeah. About that. We're really sorry for lying to you. I would have never lied except that someone forced me to.
He looks at Plucky.
Plucky:(Sweatdrops)Don't look at me like that.
Tuff: Aww, forget about that. We forgive you. Kirby forgives you too.
Kirby jumps up and down, saying poyo.
Sora: I think he forgives us.
Tiff: If you can visit other worlds, then so can I.
She then puts her arms up and spun around slowly.
Tiff: So many places. So many people to meet. Kirby will take me there one day. Won't you, Kirby?
Kirby jumps up and down again.
Fololo: Well, do us a favor...
Falala: When you find it...
Fololo & Falala: Leave us outta it.
Sora: Well, we have to get going.
Rick: Don't you wanna stay for the Cappy Town parade?
Plucky: Sorry. We would love to, but we can't.
Sora: We have our adventure to worry about. But we'll never forget any of you, especially Kirby.
Kirby ran up to Sora and hands him a Keychain shaped like a star. Sora equips the Keychain and it transforms into a yellow blade with a star for a tooth.
Sora: Cool! I think I'll call this one the Warpstar. Thanks, Kirby.
Kirby: Sora...and Kirby...friends.
Tiff: Kirby, you spoke your first sentence! Sora, thanks for everything.
Sora: No problem.
Kirby then walks up to Dizzy and offers his hand.
Kirby: Kirby...and Dizzy...friends.
Dizzy then begins to form tears in his eyes and shook Kirby's hand.
Dizzy: Dizzy friends with Kirby too.
Suddenly, Yoshi pops out of Sora's gem and joins in Kirby and Dizzy's handshake.
Yoshi: Yoshi friends with Kirby and Dizzy too.
The three of them then hugged each other. Plucky then realizes something.
Plucky: I wonder what happened to Dedede?
In the throne room, Dedede was talking to Ganondorf over his giant T.V. monitor and he wasn't too happy.
Dedede: You mean there's no second chance for me?
Ganondorf: Yes. You're too pathetic to be at our round table. We only used you to revive Nightmare. You don't deserve the title of bad guy. You even helped the good guys win in the battle. So you're fired.
The T.V. shuts off and Dedede turns to Escargoon.
Dedede: Well, I'm miserable now that I lost my membership to his evil empire.
Escargoon: I knew that working for these guys was a bad idea. We should be friends with Kirby from now on.
Dedede: Just for that, I'll pound you for fun!
He pulls out his hammer.
Escargoon: Please don't, Sire! I'm allergic to pain!
Dedede began chasing Escargoon around the castle. Unknown to them, Tiff's group was watching and laughing as they ran all around the castle. Kirby was laughing so hard that he fell down and wiggles his feet in the air. Back with Sora's group, our heroes left Cappy Town and boards the Gummi Ship.
Sweetie: Sora, Plucky, Dizzy, I'm glad to see that everything turned out alright in Dreamland.
Sora: Hopefully Dedede will leave the citizens alone now that he can't order any more Heartless from Ganondorf.
Dizzy: Where next world?
Sweetie: There's one north of here, but I believe it's too dangerous for now.
Sora: Then where do we go?
Sneezer: There's a world north of Odaiba. I believe that's the safer alternative.
Plucky: Then let's go back to Odaiba. But first, we need to get outta our Dreamland bodies.
Sora: Oh, I forgot about that. I guess I got so used to this body, I forgot about my normal body. OK, Plucky. Change us back.
Plucky: Here we go!
Plucky snaps his fingers. A cloud went poof around our heroes. When the smoke clears, they were all wearing tutus.
Sora:(Sarcasm)Ha. Ha. Ha. Very funny, Plucky. Change us back for real.
Plucky: It's no laughing matter. I forgot the spell on how to revert us back to normal.
Sora: You what?
Plucky: Just kidding! I'll try to return us to normal.
Plucky snaps his fingers again and this time, our heroes became sea creatures. Sora became a merman, Plucky became an octopus, and Dizzy became a sea turtle.
Sora: Why do I have the feeling there was suppose to be an original purpose for these forms?
Elder-Ham: Well, Sora. I think you should focus on the fact that sea creatures can't breathe air.
Sora: Oh yeah! Plucky change us again before I strangle you to lose more air!
The group began gasping for air and fell on the floor. Plucky snaps his fingers again and this time, they returned to normal.
Elder-Ham: Did it work?
Plucky: I think so.
He then realizes he's in Sora's body, Sora is in Dizzy's body, and Dizzy is in Plucky's body.
Plucky in Sora's body: Oh no! I'm in Sora's body! I don't wanna go back to high school!
Sora in Dizzy's body: Whoa! I'm a Tasmanian Devil and I'm cute.
Dizzy in Plucky's body: Dizzy look good in this body. Dizzy should go out with Shirley.
Plucky snaps his fingers again and everyone but him turns into ramen.
Dizzy: Dizzy eatable now.
Sora: Well, I don't think it's funny one bit.
Plucky: MMM! Ramen!
Sora: Plucky! Wait!
Plucky picks up the bowl with Sora in it. Plucky spins his fork around and was about to eat some noodles. Sora screams as he fell into Plucky's mouth. Next thing he knew, he screams and woke up. He looks ahead of him to see Plucky holding his shoulders.
Plucky: Sora! Are you alright? We heard you screaming!
Sora looks at himself to see he was wearing his normal clothes and he looks at Plucky and Dizzy to see they were normal too. He fell back to his bed, sighing with relief.
Sora: It was only a dream. How did I fall asleep?
Sweetie: The minute you got on the Gummi Ship, you were so tired that you fell right asleep, Sora.
Sneezer: Plucky has turned you back to normal and we all slept for the night on the ship.
Dizzy jumps onto Sora's lap and licks his face.
Dizzy: Aww, Sora had nightmare. Is Sora OK?
Sora: I'm fine. That's the last time I'm fighting against nightmares.
Plucky: I know you need to take a moment to breathe, kid. But we'll be heading to a world north of Odaiba soon. So take a deep breath.
Sora took a few minutes to wake up and then they all had breakfast. They all had pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast, the gang sat back in their seats and got ready for departure.
Plucky: We're ready, Sweetie!
Sweetie: Now let's warp back to Odaiba!
The Gummi Ship warps back to Odaiba.
Sweetie: It will take us 30 minutes to get to the next world.
Sora: OK, let's go!
The Gummi Ship took off and heads to the next world.
That's it for chapter 27. I'm sorry if the Dreamland arc took too long. I'm also sorry that the story arc had alot of similarities to KingdomKey23. Thankfully, The next world will be alot shorter and more original.
