The next world I don't think needs an introduction. You all know what it is, right? I also remember the fights from that series better than Saint Seiya.
Chapter 30: The Namek Saga Part 1
30 minutes have passed since the Gummi Ship left Megaland. Sora was looking outside the window, still thinking about what Riku said earlier.
Do you even wanna save Kairi?
These words haunted Sora's mind and it was something he couldn't get over. Riku would have never said something like that about Sora caring for Kairi. He had a crush on her ever since he was little. He remembers how they would always play together on the island and that Kairi was always around him. He would do anything for her. He would run around the island, bringing things for her. He then remembers the night he was on the island during a meteor shower. Before he could go deep into his memories, he felt something wrong. He felt funny beats in his heart. Then Plucky walks up to Sora.
Plucky: Sora? Are you OK?
Sora: I don't know. I don't feel so good. My heart feels funny. I'm a little scared.
Plucky puts his hand on Sora's forehead and felt it.
Plucky: You don't seem to have a fever. I doubt you'd have any heart problems at your current age, but I'll listen to it anyways.
He pulls out a stethoscope, puts the ear parts on his ears, puts the circular part on Sora's chest, and listens to it for a few seconds.
Plucky: It sounds pretty normal to me. Maybe you're a bit stressed out.
Sora: You think so?
Plucky: Sometimes I get irregular heartbeats when I get stressed out too. I don't think there's anything wrong with your heart.
Sora: Maybe it's just all in my head. I feel a little better now. Thanks, buddy.
Sneezer: Guys, we're heading to another world!
Everybody looks up the window and saw a planet. The planet has blue grass and green water. There is also a giant white saucer on the planet.
Sora: What is that world?
Sweetie: It is called Namek, home of the Namekians. It is also home to the seven wishing balls called Dragon Balls. But what is that saucer? It doesn't look very friendly.
Plucky: Well, we better make a safe landing.
Sneezer: Uh-oh!
Sweetie: What's wrong, Sneezer?
Sneezer: I think I'm gonna sneeze. Ah...ah...ah...
Sweetie: Sneezer, NO! You'll damage the controls!
Sneezer: ACHOO!
He sneezes on the controls, doing some damage to it, and making the ship spin towards the planet at a fast pace.
Sora: Hold on, everybody! We're going for a ride!
The ship crashed onto the planet. A few minutes later, Sora woke up and finds that he was on the blue grass. He looks up to see that the sky is green. He then looks at the water to see that it's green too.
Sora: Why is the grass blue but the sky and water are green? Is this a dream?
World: Planet Namek
Sora began walking around the place for a while. He calls out for Plucky and Dizzy, but there was no response. Eventually, he came across the white saucer. Upon arriving to the saucer, he hears a familiar voice.
?: Greetings, space traveler. What brings you here on this fair planet?
He looks up to the top of the saucer and saw none other than Riku.
Sora: Riku! Where are Plucky and Dizzy?
Riku: Are they really more important than your old friends?
Sora: No! Of course not! But they're my friends too.
Riku: Really? Instead of worrying about them, you should be worrying about her.
He moves aside which shocks Sora about who he saw. It was Kairi. She was pale as a ghost and her eyes were almost closed.
Sora: KAIRI!
Riku: While you were fooling around with your new friends, I finally found her. Isn't it ironic that I found what you've been looking for this whole time?
Sora: I need to go talk to her!
He ran forward to see Kairi, only to be stopped by a purple beam in front of him.
?: Hold it right there!
He turns to his right to see Frieza pointing his finger at him.
Frieza: No shenanigans on my vessel, brat!
Next to Frieza are five aliens. All of them wearing some kind of space armor. One of them was purple with horns on the sides of his heads. One was a human looking one with short red hair. One was a blue alien with red eyes. One was a red alien with long white hair. The last one was a short green alien with four eyes, two on the front of his face and two on his sides. They are Ginyu, Recoome, Burter, Jeice, and Guldo of the Ginyu Force. There are also Heartless with them as well.
Sora: Riku, why are you siding with the Heartless?
Riku: The Heartless obey me now, Sora. I am their master and they'll do as I say. I have nothing to fear.
Sora: You're crazy, Riku! You're blinded by rage and the Heartless will eat your heart!
Riku: I highly doubt it. My heart's too strong. I don't need any advice from you.
Sora: Riku...
Riku: I've picked up a few other tricks, like this.
He raised his hand forward. A shadow version of Sora appears in front of him.
Riku: I extracted that from the dark part of your heart and created a Heartless version of yourself. I can't be defeated by you.
Sora didn't know what to do. He was betrayed by his best friend and no matter what he did, he couldn't talk any sense into Riku. Sora thought that all hope was lost and he finally put his head down.
Riku: Look at you. You're a pathetic wreck. If only Kairi could see you now. However, I do feel sorry for you. You can go see your friends now.
Frieza: Captain Ginyu, take the boy to the prison!
Ginyu: Yes, Lord Frieza! Recoome, Burter, take him to his friends!
Recoome and Burter took Sora's arms and carried him to Frieza's Ship.
Riku: Let's get ready to depart. And keep Sora away from Kairi.
He went back inside the ship. Frieza made an upset look and turns back to Ginyu.
Frieza: I can't believe this! I am Lord Frieza, the galactic space tyrant! No one should tell me what to do! Especially that little brat!
Ginyu: What shall we do with him?
Frieza: Nothing! The Heartless are crawling all over the ship. They'll take care of the brats.
Ginyu: But Lord Frieza, you-know-who is also-
Frieza: Silence! I'm not worried about that space monkey. He won't stand any chance against me. Besides, we have the Dragon Balls. We shall use the wish to grant me immortality.
Ginyu: But sir, we can't unlock them without a password.
Frieza: Then I'll go find a Namekian who might know the password. You will guard the ship until I return.
He then flew off while Ginyu guards the ship. Back inside the ship, Recoome and Burter are taking Sora to a room with a prison cell. They threw Sora in the cell and locked him in. He sat back down in the cell and looks around the room. It was empty and quiet, so quiet that he can hear his own breathing. He even got nervous and sad, realizing that he has failed. He has lost a friend and after finding Kairi, he fears he would never see her again. He was about to give up hope until he hears a voice.
?: Sora? Is that you?
He turns to his left see Dizzy.
Sora: Dizzy!
Dizzy: Sora, it is you!
Dizzy ran to Sora and jumps on him, licking his face clean which caused Sora to laugh.
Sora: Dizzy, cut it out! That tickles! I'm glad your OK too!
Dizzy: Of course! No one keep Dizzy down!
Sora: How did you get here?
Dizzy: Dizzy remember landing on ship and then white alien lock Dizzy and Plucky in here.
Sora: Plucky's in here too? Where is he?
?: I'm down here, kid!
Sora looks down to see he's on top of Plucky.
Plucky: I'm glad to see you're alive and well. But do me a favor and get off me!
Sora: Sorry.
He got off Plucky and Plucky jumps up.
Plucky: OW! I'm gonna have a back ache for a week.
Sora: I didn't see you there. You think you'd get used to taking these blows.
Plucky: I just hope Elder-Ham, Sweetie, and Sneezer are OK.
Suddenly, Elder-Ham got out of Sora's jacket.
Elder-Ham: I'm right here, Plucky.
Plucky: Then that just leaves us with Sweetie and Sneezer. By the way, how did you get here, kid?
Sora explains about how he arrived and met Frieza, but upon mentioning Riku, he slid his back down the wall.
Sora: Riku betrayed me. He's siding with the Heartless now. I feel like that a part of my childhood has died.
Plucky and Dizzy both gasps in horror as Sora puts his head down. Dizzy ran up to hug him, trying to make him feel better.
Dizzy: Sora, no be sad. Sora may have lost Riku, but Sora no lose Dizzy and Plucky.
Plucky: We're right here for you, kid. We promise we're going to help in anyway we can.
Sora was happy to hear that bot Plucky and Dizzy were with him. A tear streams down his face.
Dizzy: Don't cry. That make Dizzy cry too.
Sora: I'm just happy to know that you two are with me right now. Thank you. I wouldn't have gone on without you two.
Plucky: That's not true. You have a gift, Sora. Sometimes we all get upset, but we move on. You change your emotions in like a few seconds, kid. But remember not to be sad.
Dizzy moves away from Sora as Sora smiles.
Sora: You're right, Plucky. I can do this. I'll find a way to stop Riku and rescue Kairi. By the way, I found her.
Dizzy: Sora don't say! Sora found Kairi?
Sora: Yeah, now we must rescue her.
Dizzy: Then Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy go up and talk to Kairi!
Plucky: Then let's go!
Plucky walks towards the exit with his eyes closed.
Sora: Aren't you forgetting something, genius?
Plucky: What?
He walks into a metal bar and hits it. He fell down, making Sora and Dizzy laugh.
Sora: You forgot that we're still trapped in here.
Plucky: Oh right. I knew that. I was just checking the bars for you.
Sora walks over to the bar and sighs.
Sora: We need to find a way outta here. But there are no Keyholes here.
Dizzy: Now what we do?
?: Hey, what's up?
Sora: Plucky, did you say something?
Plucky: It wasn't me.
?: Looking for a way out?
Everyone turns around to see a man with black spiky hair and wearing an orange gi and blue belt, wrist bands, and boots. Next to him are a little boy with black bowl cut hair and a purple gi, a short bald man also wearing an orange gi, and a green little boy with pointy ears and wearing some old white clothes with a magenta vest.
Dizzy: Who you?
Man 1: Who am I? I'm the answer to your prayers. Your ray of hope. The light at the end of the tunnel.
Plucky: Young man, you should learn to respect your elders.
Sora: But Plucky, you're younger than him, so I wouldn't call you elderly.
Plucky: Well, I don't trust his face.
Man 1: You don't believe me? Fine, then you won't get my help.
Sora: Wait! Sorry about Plucky. He forgot to take his pills today.
Plucky was about to talk, but Sora grabs his beak.
Sora: He gets cranky sometimes in the morning. We could really use the help, but don't you realize you're stuck in here too?
Man 1: You kidding? No one keeps us locked in here.
Plucky: Then what are you doing in here?
Boy 1: We're waiting for someone.
Sora: Who are you waiting for?
?: If you're done fooling around, Kakarot, we have to go find the Dragon Balls!
Another man with black spiky hair and wearing a blue suit with white armor, gloves, and boots appeared.
Man 1: Vegeta, what took you so long?
Vegeta: I've been looking around this ship, trying to find the Dragon Balls!
Man 2: What about Bulma? We've gotta go find her too.
Boy 1: I heard that she's in one of the upper floors. I also heard that there's another girl with her.
Sora: There's another girl?
Vegeta: Who cares about that woman? All we need are the Dragon Balls and leave!
Man 2: Are you crazy, Vegeta? There's no way we're gonna leave Bulma here!
Plucky: Ah-ha! So the short guy must have a girlfriend!
Plucky laughs while the short man looks at him with anger. He fires an energy sphere at Plucky which shot his beak out.
Plucky's beak: What was that for?
Man 2: That was for teasing me!
Plucky walks over to pick up his beak and puts it back on his face.
Man 1: I guess you guys can tag along with us.
Sora: Alright, but we haven't introduced ourselves.
Man 1: Oh right. I'm Goku.
Boy 1: I'm his son Gohan.
Man 2: I'm his friend Krillin.
Boy 2: And I'm Dende.
Goku extends his hand to Sora
Sora: I'm Sora.
He extends his hand and was about to shake Goku's hand, but Goku quickly pulls it away.
Goku: Too slow! Alright, we're all going together until we find Bulma.
Vegeta: Fine! You can go find that woman, Kakarot. But I'm gonna go find the Dragon Balls!
Goku blasted the prison cell, freeing everybody. After they escaped, they encountered Pirate Heartless. They carry scimitars, wore red bandanas, and brown pants. Sora, Goku, and the rest of the gang quickly finished them off. They opened another prison cell which contains a chest. Sora opens the chest and found five Pikmin in it. While walking through the hallway, Dizzy notices that Goku and his friends can fly.
Dizzy: So, how come Goku can fly?
Goku: Anyone can fly. You wanna try?
Sora: Of course we want to.
Goku: OK. First, you focus your ki.
Sora: What is ki?
Gohan: It's a type of life energy that exist in all lifeforms.
Dende: Some people use it to attack, fly, or heal others.
Goku: That's right. You guys need to focus.
Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy did as they were told and focused. They closed their eyes for a moment, then some aura appeared around their bodies. When the aura dims, they opened their eyes to see that everything was normal.
Sora: I don't feel different. Maybe it didn't work.
Goku: Don't worry. I'm sure it worked. Now you guys can fly.
Plucky jumps into the air and waves his arms, but then falls back down. Everyone laughs at Plucky's misery.
Goku: It needs a little work. You just need to believe in yourself.
Meanwhile, back at the ship's command deck, Riku was talking to Frieza through the T.V. monitor.
Frieza: WHAT? So you're saying that Bulma is not one of the chosen ones?
Riku: Yes. There are seven princesses and Ganondorf says she's not one of them.
He turns away from Frieza and looks out the window.
Riku: Before we leave this planet, we shall leave all the dead weight behind, including her.
Frieza: After all the trouble of capturing her? And why those seven? What is Ganondorf's plan for them?
Riku: Who knows what he's planning? But as long as it holds the key to getting Kairi's heart back, I couldn't care less.
Frieza: Ha! It's a silly waste of time. The Heartless have eaten that girl's heart. I'd stake my life that it's lost forever.
Riku: Say what you want, but I will find it no matter the cost.
Suddenly, Ginyu ran into the room and ran up to the T.V. monitor.
Ginyu: Lord Frieza!
Frieza: What is it, Captain Ginyu?
Ginyu: The prisoners have escaped! If that's not bad enough, Goku and Vegeta are with them!
Frieza: Curse those Saiyan monkeys! Why do they keep interfering in my plans? Very well then. Bring the prisoners to the command deck!
Ginyu: Yes sir!
The T.V. monitor shuts off and Ginyu left the room. Riku just sighs.
