In this chapter, Sora will return to two worlds to defeat two extra bosses. The two bosses will replace Phantom and Kurt Zisa.
Chapter 43: Revenge of Cooler and Apocalymon
On the Gummi Ship, Sora and the gang are deciding what their next plan of action is.
Dizzy: OK, we go find bad guy and attack him.
Plucky: Bad idea, Dizzy. At our current level, we'd get creamed. Not even Sora can beat him.
Elder-Ham: I agree with Plucky. We don't know how powerful this madman is. It could be dangerous.
Dizzy: But bad man could destroy worlds at anytime!
Sora: Calm down, Dizzy. Ansem knows that I'm coming and I don't think he's going to try to pull anything. How can we become stronger? Even those updated spells won't be enough.
Plucky: Well, opportunities like that don't just ring on the phone.
Sweetie: Guys, me and Sneezer have just finished calling Prof. Oak. We have another tournament back in the Ever Grande Conference.
Sora: Really?
Sweetie: Yes, and it's gonna be the biggest one of all. The winner will get to enter two special matches.
Sneezer: But the tournament won't start until tomorrow.
Plucky: Well, we can warp there and train for the tournament. Maybe we can have some food at the food court again.
Suddenly, one of Sora's Summon Gems reacted. Gohan came out and was all nervous.
Sora: Gohan, what are you doing outside your gem?
Gohan: I can sense something bad happening at my world. My dad needs help!
Sora: Is it Frieza again?
Gohan: No way! My dad destroyed Frieza. But I believe it's something even more powerful.
Plucky:(Whimpers)If it's something more powerful than Frieza, you can count me out!
Sora looks at Plucky in disappointment.
Sora: What's your problem? We gotta help Gohan and Goku! If we defeated Frieza, we can defeat this next threat!
Plucky: No way! Remember when Frieza nearly destroyed Namek?
Sora: We've defeated Ganondorf. He was leading all those villains.
Plucky: Well, you can go, kid. But I'll make like a banana and split.
Dizzy: Forget it! Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy go together!
Plucky: I was afraid you're going to say that.
Sora: Ignore Plucky. We'll help anyway.
Gohan: Thank you, Sora. I knew I could count on you guys.
Sweetie: Then let's go to West City!
The Gummi Ship warps to West City and departs. Sora uses the Moon Power Keychain Serena gave him and puts it on his Keyblade. The Keyblade changes shape again and now has a crescent moon for a tooth. The group returns to the city and see that everything appears to be normal.
Plucky: Are you sure this world is in trouble, Gohan? It looks pretty normal to me.
Gohan: I know that there's something wrong here. I can't pinpoint what it is though.
Sora: Everybody, look at the clock tower!
Everyone turns to the clock tower where they see Goku and Piccolo. They flew up to them.
Gohan: DAD!
He flew up to his dad and hugs him. Sora and the gang flew up to him too.
Goku: Gohan, I'm so glad to see you again!
He turns to Sora's gang.
Goku: Hey, Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy!
Sora: Hey, Goku! What's going on?
Goku: Something's going on at the clock tower. Look!
He points to the top of the clock tower. On top of it was a purple alien who looks like Frieza with white body armor, helmet, and wristbands.
Dizzy: Who that?
Piccolo: That's Frieza's brother Cooler. He came here to avenge his brother.
Plucky: Hey, where's Vegeta and Little Green?
Goku: Vegeta went into space to train. He wants to unlock the power of a Super Saiyan. Dende is hiding back in the Capsule Corp. building. But let's not worry about that. We gotta deal with Cooler first!
Everybody turns to Cooler. Cooler notices Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy.
Cooler: So I see that you have some new friends, Goku. One of them who happens to be a Keyblade Master who helped you defeat my brother.
Sora: That's right! You won't get away with this!
Cooler: Well, then how about we skip the introduction and get right to it? I've activated the doom spell on the clock tower.
Plucky: Doom spell? Please tell me you're not making that up.
Cooler: I'm not making that up, duck. A doom spell can instantly bring an end to one's life. It can't be cured unless you defeat me in time.
Piccolo: I heard rumors that the doom spell is controlled by the clock tower. Once the doom spell is casted on someone, it begins a time rotation. They only have sixty seconds once the spell begins. Perhaps we could slow the clock tower down.
Sora: Our Stop magic could work.
Goku: True, but it won't be enough.
Cooler: Enough with the charades. I'm only in my fourth form. It's time that I activate my final form.
He then starts to transform. His muscles grew bigger, he grew spikes on his wristbands, four spikes on his helmet, a mouth plate covering his face, and red eyes.
Soar: Is it just me, or does he look like the Super Shredder from TMNT 2.
Cooler: Tonight, I dine on monkey soup!
Goku: Be careful, everyone! He's alot more powerful than Frieza!
Cooler activates the doom spell on the clock tower and starts heading towards Goku. He kicks Goku on the ground while Sora uses Stopra to stop the clock tower's countdown. Cooler charges at Goku again, grabs him, and slams him by the building.
Cooler: I'm gonna plant me a monkey tree!
He threw Goku through the ground to the sea, parting the land and water in two. Goku's gi and shirt were torn off and he was panting heavily.
Cooler: Is that all you got, monkey?
Goku goes into Kaio-Ken x20 and prepares a Kamehameha.
Cooler: Oh, this is gonna be great!
Goku fires the Kamehameha at Cooler who flew right through it and grabs Goku. He threw Goku at a building and kicks him in. Goku faints from the attack.
Cooler: Look at you, wasted and gasping for air. But you don't get to go yet.
He flew up in the air.
Cooler: When your planet is in ashes, then you have my permission to die.
Goku fell off the building and onto the ground. Sora, Plucky, Dizzy, Gohan, and Piccolo flew down to his aid.
Everyone: GOKU!
Goku got up and starts screaming. His scream shook the entire planet.
Cooler: What the devil?
He turns to see Goku with golden hair. He has become a Super Saiyan again.
Cooler: I see. This must the power you used to kill my brother. Well, don't think that I'll...
Before he could launch an attack, Goku appears right next to him and grabs his arm.
Goku: Not going anywhere for a while?
Cooler released his arm from Goku's grasp and punched him in the stomach, but it didn't damage him. Cooler backs away from him.
Cooler: I can't help but feel we're both missing some context here.
Goku knees Cooler in the stomach.
Goku: Now get off my planet!
Cooler: Well, alright, if you insist.
He fires his Death Cannon at Goku and disappears.
Sora: Where did he go?
Goku: He's at the clock tower!
Everybody turns to see Cooler at the clock tower and activates another doom spell.
Piccolo: He's using another doom spell on the clock tower!
Plucky: We've gotta stop him!
Everybody flew to the clock tower. Sora notices a giant number 60 above Plucky.
Sora: Plucky, you've got a doom spell on you!
Plucky looks up to notice the time has started going down.
Plucky: Oh great!
Plucky uses his Stopra spell on the giant clock to stop time. The numbers has stopped going down. The gang went after Cooler. Gohan uses Masenko, Piccolo uses Special Beam Cannon, Plucky uses Firaga and Blizzaga, Dizzy headbutts Cooler, Goku punches and kicks Cooler, and Sora uses Sonic Blade. All of the attacks hit Cooler, doing some damage to him. Cooler counters by firing multiple Death Beams at the gang, but they dodged all the beams. Cooler went back to the clock tower to cast another doom spell. Sora uses his Stopra spell to stop the clock again. The countdown stops to 30 seconds. Gohan uses Bakuretsu Ranma, Piccolo uses Light Grenade, Plucky uses Thundara, Dizzy delivers Mega Punch and Mega Kick, and Sora uses Ragnarok which he does a slashing combo on Cooler and finishes by firing a bunch of energy spheres. The attack did alot of damage to Cooler. Cooler was panting heavily from all of their attacks.
Goku: Cooler, this is your last warning! Get off my planet now!
Cooler: Oh really?
Cooler fires a Death Cannon in front of them and disappears.
Cooler: Technically, I can't be on a planet if there is no planet!
Everybody looks up to see Cooler holding a giant orange energy ball.
Cooler: By the way, before I throw my Supernova, did my brother do this?
Sora: Yeah, but his was smaller.
Cooler: I knew it!
Cooler threw his Supernova at the gang. Everybody but Goku and Sora flew out of the way. Goku charges up energy while Sora uses Aeroga. Both of them grabbed the Supernova, slowing it's decent on the planet.
Cooler: See, this is the difference. My brother would've stood around, postulating and claiming his victory like some haughty green-horned child. I know what it takes to get the job done. Which is why father should have...
Suddenly, Goku charges the Kamehameha while holding the energy sphere while Sora's Keyblade starts to glow. They both started to push back at the attack.
Cooler: Oh, that's fine. Go ahead and lift it up. I'll just make another one and...
Goku fires a Kamehameha while Sora fires a small beam from his Keyblade. Both attacks sent the Supernova back at Cooler, sending him into space. He was trying to push back against his own attack.
Cooler: I know there's some kinda hubristic irony to consider here, but I'm far too distracted by the coldness of space!
Suddenly, he felt something warm. He turns around to see that he's getting closer to the sun.
Cooler: Wait! No, now it's getting a little toasty. Oh no! Now it's really getting toasty!
He and his Supernova finally hits the sun. Cooler is getting sandwiched in between the sun and his own attack.
Cooler: AAAAAHHHHH! EVERYTHING IS BURNING! I really am just like my brother!
He then has a flashback of watching Frieza blowing up a planet.
Cooler: Because if he's going to whine to our father for control over the entire system like a spoiled little brat, then he's going to accept the responsibility.
He turns his chair around.
Cooler: If this comes back to bite him, that's his fault.
Flashback ends.
Cooler: But at least I know...I'm...still...Cooler!
He gets obliterated by his Supernova exploding on the sun which made the sun explode too. The explosion was so big and so bright, it covers the skies. The sun soon returns and the sky is blue again. Sora and Goku are both laying on the ground. Everybody ran up to them. Gohan uses his healing technique to heal both Sora and Goku. Dizzy ran up to lick Sora in the face.
Sora: Cut it out, Dizzy! I'm OK!
Gohan: Dad, you were amazing!
Goku: I know, Gohan.
Plucky: Now that peace has returned to this world, there should be no more trouble.
A crystal floats in front of Sora. He grabs it and it upgrades his Stopra to Stopga. Goku walks up to Sora.
Goku: Now that the threat is over, what can we do?
Sora: You can always go to the Ever Grande Conference. They're gonna open up a new tournament.
Piccolo: That sounds great. We could use some training.
Goku: Will I be able to see you there?
Sora: Of course. We'll be participating in the tournament. We'll see you guys later.
Goku: Take care, Sora.
Sora's group said good-bye to Goku's group and left. Gohan decides to stay with Goku and see Sora back in the Pokemon World. Sora's group went back to the Gummi Ship and prepares to depart. Suddenly, Gatomon came out of her Digivice and looks all worried.
Sora: What's wrong, Gatomon?
Gatomon: I feel a strange and powerful energy coming from Odaiba. It's nothing I ever felt before. It's like a force stronger than Myotismon. I'm worried about the Digidestined.
Plucky: It's like deja vu! Can't we rest for a minute? What about the tournament? Don't we have to get there?
Sweetie: The tournament's not gonna start until tomorrow.
Plucky: Why must you torment me?
Sora: Never mind him. We'll check it out. But while we are there, let's not tell the Digidestined about Kari. I think they might freak out about Kari being a you-know-what.
Dizzy: Got it!
Plucky: OK. I'll go help too.
Sora: Sneezer, to Odaiba!
Sneezer: Aye aye, captain!
The Gummi Ship departs from West City and warps back into Odaiba. Unlike West City, Odaiba doesn't appear to be normal. There is some kind of warped space above the city. The warped space looks very similar to the Behemoth's lair back at Hollow Bastion.
Sora: Oh...
Plucky: My...
Dizzy: Goodness!
Gatomon: What on earth is that?
Sweetie: I don't know, but it doesn't look very normal.
Gatomon: Something terrible might happen if we don't do something.
Plucky: What are we? Everyone's babysitters? Can't the Digidestined take care of themselves?
Sora: But, Plucky. it's not nice to...
Plucky: OK, OK! We'll go! I just can't stand to hear that speech again!
Sora chuckles and the group disembarks. The group arrives in the park of Odaiba, noticing things weren't right. Suddenly, they hear a familiar voice.
?: SORA!
Sora and the gang turns to see the Digidestined and their Digimon running towards them. Patamon ran up to hug Gatomon.
Patamon: Gatomon, I'm so glad you're OK!
Gatomon: I miss you too, Patamon!
Tai: What bring you guys here?
Sora: Gatomon told us to come here. By the way, we found Kari.
T.K. and Tai both gasped in excitement. Kari was finally safe and sound. They don't have to worry anymore. But something wasn't right. They looked around and saw no sign of the Eighth Child.
T.K.: Where is she?
Dizzy was about to say something, but Plucky cuts him off.
Plucky: She's fine, but she said she needs to take care of something.
Tai: Like what?
Sora: She didn't say, but she said she'll return as soon as possible.
The Digidestined nods, knowing they could take Sora's word for granted.
T.K.: Thank you, Sora. I feel alot better. But we have a new problem.
Izzy: We've defeated the last Dark Master, but we're not done yet. We've made contact with Gennai and he said that the source of that evil still existed.
Agumon: It may be even more powerful than the Dark Masters. So we need to Digivolve into our Ultimate and Mega Forms.
Tai: Right! Let's do it, everyone!
All the Digidestined's Digimon Digivolved to their Ultimate Forms.(Except Agumon and Gabumon who can go straight to their Mega Forms.)Sora uses the Crest of Light to Digivolve Gatomon to Angewomon.
T.K.: Patamon just reached Ultimate too.
T.K.'s crest starts glowing too.
Patamon: Patamon Warp Digivolve to...MAGNAANGEMON!
Patamon has transformed into an angel that looks like Angemon, except that he has ten wings, a purple shield on his left arm, and a beam sword on his right arm.
Sora: Wow! Patamon has reached a new level!
T.K.: He obtained it during our battle with the last Dark Master Piedmon.
Tai: Let's go up there, everyone!
The Digidestined rode on their Digimon and flew up to the warped space area. Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy can just fly up on their own. They reach the warped space. Suddenly, everyone hears a laughing sound.
Dizzy: What that?
Plucky: Sounds like someone's laughing.
Sora: Sounds to me like it's coming from every direction.
Tai: Me too. But what does it mean?
?: I know who you are. You don't have the power to eliminate my sadness.
A figure that is shaped like a 12-sided dice appears.
Izzy: I'll bet this has something to do with that Digimon Gennai was talking about.
The shape produces arms from it's sides except for the top and bottom sides. The arms are connected by long chains and metal claws on the ends. the top side shows a blue Digimon with a creepy face, a black helmet, and a red and black cape similar to Myotismon.
Digimon: I am the ultimate evil, complete with hot and cold running water.
Matt: What on earth is that thing?
Digimon: I am Apocalymon. My Darkness Zone attack transforms my enemies into nothingness. I have the power to turn everything I touch into total darkness.
Sora: Darkness, huh? He sounds like a Heartless.
Apocalymon: Are you repulsed by my appearance? Don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. They're already hurt. I was created from all that was lost during the Digivolution process.
Plucky: What do you mean?
Apocalymon: Digimon have been Digivolving for many years now. But there were some who weren't up to the challenge and simply disappeared.
Dizzy: But Dizzy thought all of life was created. Dizzy believe there must be creator who-
Apocalymon: SILENCE! Who's the one telling this story? Me or you?
Matt: Alright. Go ahead, Darwin.
Apocalymon: First I have a question to ask. Do you believe that I am worthy of coexisting with you?
Izzy: Well, yeah, sure.
Apocalymon: Oh really? Even though I was forged from the pain and misery of all the Digimon who vanished while attempting to Digivolve?
Girl Sora: You're entirely made up of grief and sorrow? How sad for you.
Apocalymon: Sure, rub it in. And now, Digidestined and Digimon, I've been waiting an eternity for this encounter. As I sat alone in the cold, miserable darkness of my world, I watched all of you on the other side, laughing and having fun in the light. Now, it's my turn to shine!
He fires bolts of electricity, sending everyone back.
Tai: Is everybody OK?
Everyone told Tai that they were fine.
Girl Sora: I'm OK, Tai.
Apocalymon: Not for long! Do you think it's fair that I should have to live in agony? Why should you get to laugh when I am forced to cry? Why do you get to taste the best life has to offer while all I do is choke on it's leftovers? ANSWER ME THIS! WHY DO ALL OF YOU GET THE PIZZA WHILE I GET THE CRUST?
Mimi: AAAAAHHHHH! I can't take all these metaphors!
Sora: Boy, and I thought Plucky's jokes and puns were bad.
Apocalymon: I will rule the world and plunge it into darkness, so I don't have to be alone anymore in my misery.
One of Apocalymon's claws transformed into a shadow of a metal sea serpent.
Apocalymon: RIVER OF POWER!
The sea serpent fires a blue beam of energy towards Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy. Angewomon protects the trio from the attack.
Apocalymon: That was Metalseadramon with his classic River of Power. Now here's Myotismon with his number one hit.
Another claw transforms into a shadow of Myotismon.
Apocalymon: CRIMSON LIGHTNING!
Myotismon uses Crimson Lightning on Mimi, but Lillymon protects her.
Apocalymon: Next, Machinedramon.
Another claw transforms into a shadow of a metal dragon with two cannons on it's back.
Apocalymon: GIGA CANNON!
The dragon fires two yellow beams from it's cannons. It aims at the Girl Sora, but Garudamon protects her.
Izzy: Inconceivable! He's using all the attacks of the evil Digimon we've defeated in the past!
Joe: You mean we have to fight them all over again? This is the worst nightmare I've ever been awake for!
Girl Sora: Hey, we were able to beat them before!
Tai: Our Sora's right! We did beat them and we can do it again!
T.K.: We just have to fight as a team!
Matt: I agree. We've sacrificed to much to give up now.
Sora was using the Scan ability to find Apocalymon's weak spots.
Sora: Guys, I found his weak spots! We have to destroy his arms first, then we aim for the head!
Tai: Very good, Sora! Everyone, attack his arms!
Everyone: YEAH!
Everyone charges at Apocalymon. Garudamon uses Wing Blade while Lillymon uses Flower Cannon. Their attacks destroyed two of Apocalymon's arms.
Apocalymon: Don't think that you can beat me that easily. I can Reverse Digivolve your Digimon.
Apocalymon uses two of his other arms to grab Garudamon and Lillymon. The two Digimon glows and reverts back to Biyomon and Palmon.
Girl Sora: Biyomon!
Mimi: Palmon!
Biyomon: Don't worry about us. Focus on his arms.
Megakabuterimon and Zudomon uses Horn Buster and Vulcan Hammer on two more of Apocalymon's arms, destroying them. Apocalymon uses his other two arms to grab them and uses Reverse Digivolution to revert them back to Tentomon and Gomamon.
Joe: Gomamon!
Izzy: Tentomon!
Gomamon: Don't worry about us, guys. We'll be alright.
MagnaAngemon uses Excalibur which he uses his beam sword while Angewomon uses Celestial Arrow. The two attacks destroyed two more of Apocalymon's arms. Apocalymon uses two more arms to grab them and uses Reverse Digivolution to revert them back to Patamon and Gatomon.
Sora: We gotta take out his remaining arms, guys!
Plucky: We're on it!
Apocalymon: Don't even think about it, key brat!
Apocalymon uses his powers to disable Sora and Plucky's magic.
Plucky: Oh no! My magic has been disabled!
Dizzy: No worry. Dizzy can take care of big bad Digimon!
Sora: And he may disable my magic, but I can still use my abilities!
Dizzy uses his Spin Attack to take out two of Apocalymon's arms while Sora uses Sonic Blade to take out the last two arms. Finally, all of Apocalymon's arms are destroyed.
Tai: He's completely defenseless. Let's finish him off!
Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon uses Terra Force and Ice Wolf Claw to destroy the upper body of Apocalymon. The two attacks created a massive explosion which engulfs Apocalymon. All that's left was his dice-shaped body. Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon reverts back to Agumon and Gabumon.
Matt: We did it!
Joe: We destroyed all of his claw!
Tai: Still think you're so tough?
Apocalymon: Is that your best shot?
Sora: You know you're beaten! Face it like a man!
Apocalymon: You think so, huh? Well, I may be beaten, but I won't go down that easily. I'll take you and your whole world with me. You still haven't seen my ultimate attack. TOTAL ANNIHILATION!
The body of Apocalymon starts to shine and then explodes. However, the eight Digivices surrounded the explosion and fired beams of light around it, creating a cube that contains the explosion. The cube then shrinks and the explosion disappears.
Dizzy: What was that?
Plucky: I'm not sure.
T.K.: What happened to the explosion?
Izzy: It was completely contained by the power of our Digivices.
Tai: Then it's over. We actually won.
Girl Sora: Then I guess we saved our world.
The warped space then disappears and everyone returns safely back to the park.
Tai: Now that peace has returned to our world, what should we do?
Sora: You can join us at the Ever Grande Conference. They're having a tournament.
Agumon: That sounds great. We could see Ash and May again.
T.K.: Can we come along with you, Sora?
Sora: Sure, you guys can join us.
The Digidestined and their Digimon all joined Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy on the Gummi Ship. The Gummi Ship departs from Odaiba and prepares to leave for the Pokemon World.
That's it for chapter 43. That chapter was alot of fun, wasn't it? Some of the Cooler fight script was from TFS DBZ abridged. Next time, Sora and the gang will return to the Pokemon World for the tournament.
