Chapter 45: Giovanni Rumble Part 1
The next morning, Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy hurries up to the stadium. Prof. Oak, Ash, May, and the Ham-Hams are waiting for their arrival. Sora and the gang arrives at the lobby. Pikachu ran up to Sora and jumps into his arms, licking him.
Sora: Hey, Pikachu! Cut it out! It's nice to see you, too!
Ash: Sora! Plucky! Dizzy! You guys got here just in time!
Sora: We'd never back down from any challenge...except Plucky.
Plucky: No way! I'm cool! I'm ready for anything! Bring them on!
May: OK. The first guy you're facing is 500 feet tall, his sword is about 100 feet long, and he'll pound you in seconds flat.
Plucky's eyes widens in fear and he began sweating nervously.
Plucky:(Whimpers)I think I hear my mom calling me.
May: I'm just kidding. Man, I can't believe you fell for that.
Plucky: Uhh, I knew that. I was just playing with you.
Elder-Ham: Sure you were.
Everyone starts laughing. They didn't know why they were laughing now. Prof. Oak walks over to Sora's group and smiles.
Oak: You three have come a long way indeed. I'm very proud of you. You three are going to go out there and do your best.
Sora: We're not just gonna do our best! We're gonna win this thing!
Plucky: That's the spirit, kid!
Ash: We're going to head out into the arena and sit in our reserved seats. We'll meet you guys in the arena, when we get to battle you.
Hamtaro: Good luck, Sora!
Bijou: Be sure to win zhis for us!
Sora: Thanks, little guys.
Oak: Be really careful. If you lose, you might lose your valuable possession.
Sora: Don't worry, Professor. We won't lose anything. I'll never forgive Giovanni for tricking us.
May: OK. Be careful, guys.
The trio heads into the arena, ready for their first match. They entered the arena to see cheering fans from all around the stadium.
Stan: Come on, Team Sora!
Sandy: Show them what you're made of!
Pashmina: You can do it!
Team Sora's first opponent is a familiar ninja girl.
Plucky: Hey, Yuffie!
Yuffie: Hey, guys! I guess you'll be my first opponents.
Sora: So, Leon wasn't with you?
Yuffie: No! I can't believe he did this to me! What does Cloud got that I ain't got?
Plucky: Ain't isn't a word.
Yuffie: You know what I mean! He had to change partners! I'll show Squall what I'm made of!
Leon: YUFFIE, IT'S LEON!
The trio turns to see Leon, Cloud, and Aerith in the audience. Leon was upset and had his arms crossed.
Sora: How did he hear that?
Yuffie: I have no clue. It doesn't matter, because I can still beat you three.
Plucky: Yuffie, this time, I wanna take you on by myself.
Sora & Dizzy: What?
Plucky: It's only fair that we do this one-on-one. I wanna prove I'm a strong fighter. Not just use magic. Last time, Yuffie was tough. I only beat her, because Dizzy helped me. But now, I wanna prove to myself I'm truly strong.
Dizzy: Can Plucky really handle this?
Plucky: I've had a black belt in my karate class. Plus, I'm and expert in fighting games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.
Sora thought he could see fire in Plucky's eyes. He never thought that he would see Plucky act serious for once and really wanted to fight. He has been a coward for much of the adventure, but growth was beginning to develop for the duck. Sora and Dizzy both nodded. They both headed for the benches and sat down. Yuffie giggles and got in a fighting stance.
Yuffie: So, you think you can defeat the great ninja Yuffie?
Plucky: I don't think I can. I know I can!
The audience roars into cheers, especially the Pokemon fans, who were holding up signs saying "Go, Plucky, Go!" The two fighters stared down at each other. Plucky could feel the wind blow through the arena and he tensed up. Yuffie took out a ninja star and got ready.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Yuffie starts by throwing her stars at Plucky. Plucky dodged the stars and starts charging at Yuffie. She still keeps throwing her stars, but Plucky grabs them and throws them back at her. She dodged them and ran at Plucky. She threw a punch, but he blocks it. She tried to kick his face, but he moves out of the way.
Plucky: Now, try out my Shoryuken!
Plucky jumps with an uppercut punch and hits Yuffie in the chin. She got knocked out by the attack, but quickly got up. She double kicks Plucky in the stomach, sending him flying across the arena. Plucky quickly got back on his feet. Yuffie jumps up and threw flying kicks at Plucky, who grabs her feet and slams her to the ground.
Yuffie quickly got up and threw her ninja stars at Plucky, who keeps dodging them. The two charges at each other again. Plucky threw a punch and Yuffie grabs his fist. She threw him over her and onto the ground. Plucky got back up and kicks her again, causing the ninja to dodge it. She then gave him an uppercut in the jaw, sending him flying into the air.
Sora: Toasty!
Plucky fell backwards and groans. He felt weak from the ninja's assault and couldn't go on. As he stood up, Yuffie threw four more stars, which stabs into pieces of Plucky's shirt. They sent him back into the ground and the blade of the stars stuck to the ground. A sense of defeat came over Plucky's face, as Yuffie approached him. Dizzy noticed this and stood up.
Dizzy: Plucky no give up! Plucky can do it! Plucky just need to believe in self! If Plucky can find true strength within, he can do anything! Do it for Sora! Do it for Elder-Ham! Do it for Dizzy!
Hearing that gave Plucky the drive to fight again. He knew in his heart that he was a strong person and deep down, he wasn't afraid. He then broke off the stars.
Plucky: Now, you're going down, ninja girl!
Plucky then flew up the air. Yuffie tried to throw her stars, but Plucky dodged every single one of them. He flew right at Yuffie, rams her into her stomach, and sent her flying. He quickly flew past her and grabs her. He proceeds to fly up so high in the air and then flies back down, while still carrying her. He slams her down to the ground. She got up all dazed.
Sora: Finish her!
Plucky flew back up in the air so high that it's like he was in space. He then flew straight down at Yuffie like a rocket ship crashing towards the earth. Yuffie looks up and gasped in horror to see Plucky coming at her. Right there, she knew she had lost the fight. Plucky rams his head into her stomach and the two crashed into the ground, causing rubble to fly everywhere. Everyone covered their eyes from the dust. The dust finally clears, revealing Plucky standing over a worn out Yuffie.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers and roars for Plucky. Sora ran over to him and picks his arm up. Dizzy also grabs on to Plucky's other arm.
Sora: The winner and champion of the world!
Plucky: I wish Shirley was here watching me. She would kiss me like crazy the way Fifi does to Furrball.
Dizzy then licks Plucky's face, which caused him to chuckle. He really did it. For once he didn't mess up. Sora uses his Curaga to heal Yuffie's wounds. She then shook Plucky's hand.
Yuffie: Wow! That was impressive. You beat me fair and square. I misjudged you. You're a good fighter. Just do me a favor. Don't lose the competition. Because the guy who beats me never loses.
She then walks out the arena. Sora smiles and turns to Plucky.
Sora: Plucky, you were amazing. Under that clumsy, cowardly duck is a real warrior.
Plucky: Yeah! I am macho!
Dizzy: Nacho? Dizzy love to eat nachos!
Plucky: Macho, not nacho!
Dizzy: Oh...Can Dizzy still have nachos, anyway?
Sora starts laughing, while Plucky sighs. The team took a 10 minute break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Behemoth. This Behemoth has a yellow flame design all over it's body. The team uses the same strategy like last time. Behemoth tried to use it's Thunder spell, but the team dodged it. Sora and Plucky uses their combined Gravira and dealt alot of damage to the beast. Dizzy uses his Spin Attack on the horn, doing some more damage. The team keeps doing the same strategy, until the monster got defeated and disappears. A heart flew out of it and it disappears from the group's site. It also drops a crystal, which Sora then picks up. The crystal upgrades his Thundara to Thundaga.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory, as they took a 10 minute break. After break time is over, they returned to the arena. Their next opponent is Team Megaman. Megaman and Bass walks up the arena, with their partners Rush and Treble.
Roll: Come on, Megaman!
Protoman: Show them what you're made of!
Sora: So, I get to fight Megaman and Bass next?
Megaman: That's right, Sora.
Bass: This time, we'll be combining with our partners.
Megaman: Let's go, Rush!
Rush combines with Megaman, while Treble combines with Bass.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Sora takes on Megaman, while Plucky and Dizzy takes on Bass. Bass fires his Super Bass Buster like a machine gun at the duo, but they dodged the attacks. Megaman charges up his Super Mega Buster and fires at Sora, but Sora blocks the attack. Plucky fires the Thundaga at Bass, while Dizzy delivers punches and kicks. They both did some damage to Bass. Sora uses the Strike Raid on Megaman, doing some damage to him.
Megaman: Man, they're really tough.
Bass: We better double our efforts if we wanna beat them.
Megaman: How about we take them out, one at a time?
Bass: Good idea, Megaman.
Megaman and Bass first focused on Plucky. They fired their Busters at him, doing some damage. They then focused on Dizzy and fired their Rocket Busters on him, too. He took some damage as well. They both then focused on Sora and proceeded to attack, but Sora uses Stopga to freeze time. He then use Sonic Blade on Bass and the Ars Arcanum on Megaman. When time returns to normal, Bass and Megaman took alot of damage. Sora and Plucky finished them off with Firaga and Blizzaga. Their combined attacks took them out both. Their partners also separated from them, all knocked out.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora walks up to Megaman.
Sora: Are you OK, Megaman?
Megaman: Yeah. You're really powerful.
Sora: I've done alot of training.
Megaman: Hey, Sora. Maybe one day, I could join you in your adventure.
Sora: That sounds like a good idea.
Sora and Megaman shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Team Sonic. Sonic and Shadow enters the arena.
Amy: Come on, Sonic!
Tails: You can do it, buddy!
Knuckles: Give it everything you got!
Sora: So, Sonic and Shadow are up next?
Sonic: Hey, Sora! Are you ready for our battle?
Sora: You bet I am.
Shadow: This time, we'll be using the Chaos Emeralds.
Sonic and Shadow used the seven Chaos Emeralds to become Super Sonic and Super Shadow.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Sonic and Shadow dares Team Sora to go after them first. Sora attacks Sonic using Sonic Blade, but it did no damage. Plucky uses Gravira on Shadow, while Dizzy delivers punches and kicks, but their attacks have no effect. Finally, Sonic and Shadow attacks. Sonic uses his Spin Attack on Sora, doing some major damage. Shadow uses Chaos Spear on Plucky and Dizzy, doing alot of damage. Team Sora are barely standing up.
Sora: Man, you guys are invincible.
Sonic: What did you expect? We used the powers of the Chaos Emeralds.
Shadow: You better hope you'll last long, before our time is up.
Plucky: We better use Aeroga to last longer.
Sora and Plucky uses Aeroga to raise their defenses. Sonic proceeds to use his Sonic Wind on the team. The gang only took minor damage, thanks to Aeroga. Sora quickly uses Curaga to heal the entire team. Shadow uses his Homing Attack on Sora, but Sora manages to dodge it. Sonic and Shadow charges up and uses the Lightspeed Attack. They spin around the battlefield, doing some damage to Team Sora. The trio are panting heavily.
Sonic: You three are still standing? I'm impressed that you three lasted that long.
Shadow: But now, it's time to end this. CHAOS...
Suddenly, Sonic and Shadow stops glowing and returns to normal.
Sonic: What happened?
Shadow: We ran out of time. Now, the Chaos Emeralds' powers are gone.
Sora: Now's our chance, guys! Let's finish them off!
Sora uses Firaga on Sonic, while Plucky uses Blizzaga on Shadow. Both of these attacks instantly knocked out the two hedgehogs, since their Super Forms drained all their energies.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora walks up to Sonic.
Sora: That was a great battle, Sonic.
Sonic: Yes it was. I'm impressed that you survived my Super Form.
Sora: Yeah, but you almost beat me.
Sonic: Hey, Sora. Is it OK that I can join you on your adventure one day?
Sora: Sure. That's a promise.
Sora and Sonic shook hands and took a 20 minute break. During the break, they were talking to Ash and his friends. The Ham-Hams were there, too.
Maxwell: You did great, Sora! For a moment, I though you weren't gonna make it.
Cappy: But you've managed to get through that match in one piece.
Penelope: Ookwee!
Sora: Thanks, guys.
Elder-Ham: You're doing well, Sora. I remember when I was your age, I used to be a champion boxer.
Sora: You were?
Elder-Ham: Oh, yes. I used to be a fearsome fighter. Uncle Albert the Incredible they called me.
Sora:(Laughs)Uncle Albert? That's your real name?
Elder-Ham: Yes. I may have a little energy left in me.
He then threw a few punches, but then he bent over.
Elder-Ham: OW! My spine!
Sora: Elder-Ham, your a senior citizen. You're too old for that kind of stuff.
Elder-Ham: Indeed. I think I'll sit back down now.
Oak: Well, I think it's time for you to return to the arena. The next match will start very soon.
Team Sora starts walking back to the arena.
