Chapter 47: Giovanni Rumble Part 3
Team Sora returns to the arena. As expected, they're next opponent is Team Squall. Cloud and Leon enters the arena. Cloud and Leon took out their swords, preparing for their final bout with their three friends. Cloud felt sad, knowing that he would have to face Sora one last time. Sora has taught him respect, friendship, and honor. Cloud no longer cares if he won or lost. He now just wants to have fun. Cloud smiles at Sora. The boy could see the sorrow lifting from the warrior and got his Keyblade out.
Sora: Shall we, guy?
Plucky: Sure, why not?
Dizzy: Dizzy ready!
Referee: Let the battle begin!
All five warriors charged at each other. Plucky and Dizzy took care of Leon, while Sora took care of Cloud. Leon fires a fireball at the two toons, who quickly dodged and counterattacks. Plucky fires his own Firaga at Leon, while Dizzy proceeds to deliver punches and kicks. Both attacks did some damage to Leon. Sora and Cloud are clashing their blades together. Cloud quickly slips his Buster Sword under the Keyblade and knocks it out of Sora's hand. Cloud swipes at Sora again, but the boy ducks under, slid across the floor, grabs his Keyblade, and turns to block Cloud's next attack. He then counters with his own slash attack, hurting Cloud.
Plucky and Dizzy are still fighting Leon. Leon charges at the two with his Gunblade and slashed the both of them. The duo took alot of damage from the attack. Plucky uses Curaga to heal himself and Dizzy from the attack. Plucky uses Blizzaga at Leon, who dodged the attack, but Dizzy headbutts Leon in the stomach. Sora and Cloud are still clashing their blades. Cloud uses his Sonic Blade attack at Sora, who counters with his own Sonic Blade. The two keeps dashing through each other, until Sora knocks Cloud's Buster Sword out of his hands. Sora proceeds to slash Cloud, doing some damage to him. Cloud eventually regains his Buster Sword and blocks Sora's attack. Cloud and Leon regroups. Both of them are panting heavily.
Sora: You guys must have really been preparing for this, huh?
Cloud: Yeah...you too. But now, it's time to end this. Leon, it's time.
Cloud and Leon both activated their Super Forms.
Sora: What? But you said no dark powers.
Cloud: Sorry, but I must finish this.
Cloud and Leon both charges at the trio. Leon uses the Renzokuken on Plucky and Dizzy, rapidly slashing them in a combo. He then finished with Lion Heart, which he charges his sword and delivers one powerful slash. Plucky and Dizzy took immense damage from the attack. Cloud uses the Omnislash on Sora, rapidly slashing him in a combo as well. He then jumps up and delivers one final slash. Sora took a lot of damage, too. Sora fell down on the ground next to Plucky and Dizzy. The trio stood up, panting very heavily.
Sora: Man...they're...really...powerful.
Leon: As we said before, we won't hold back this time.
Cloud: I have fun fighting you three. But now, it's time to end this.
Cloud proceeds to lift his sword to finish Sora, but then Plucky and Dizzy headbutts Cloud.
Plucky: Sorry, but we're not gonna lose.
Dizzy: Sora, Plucky, and Dizzy will fight with everything they got.
Sora: Thanks, guys. Come on! We got a battle to win.
Plucky uses Thundaga on Leon, doing some damage to him. Dizzy proceeds to finish him with his Spin Attack, knocking Leon out. The Lion Heart attack must have used up alot of Leon's energy, it weakens him. Sora proceeds to use the Ragnarok on Cloud, slashing him with a combo attack, and finishing him off by firing a bunch of energy spheres at him, knocking him. Cloud's dark powers drained alot of his energy too, leaving him vulnerable. Both Cloud and Leon are knocked out.
Referee: Team Squall is unable to battle! Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. Back in the lobby, during break time, Sora was talking with Cloud and Leon.
Leon: Congratulations. You won fair and square. Now, I know without a doubt, you'll be the ones to beat Ansem.
Dizzy: Aww, thanks.
Leon then hands a Keychain that looks like a lion to Sora.
Leon: This is my Lionheart Keychain. Use it when you need it.
Sora nods and replaced his old Keychain with the Lionheart. The Keyblade now looks like a sword with a lion for a tooth.
Cloud: Your light is strong. Remember what I told you, Sora. Never lose sight of it. That's the path to a true warrior.
Sora: I'm sorry I had to beat you. I know how much you wanted to get to the Platinum Match.
Cloud: It's OK. Perhaps it wasn't my time yet. One day, the time will come, when I will face him.
He turns away and walks off.
Cloud: I'll be watching your remaining battles. You better not lose.
Sora: I promise. As long as Plucky doesn't mess us up.
Plucky: What's that suppose to mean?
Cloud walks out of the arena and Leon shook Sora's hand.
Leon: Sora, I'll never forget you. Be strong, and may the light guide you.
Plucky and Dizzy began to feel curious. What did Leon mean by "I'll never forget you?" They knew something wasn't right.
Sora: Thanks for everything.
Leon nods and walks out of the arena. Sora then turns to see his friends looking at him with concern and suspicion. Sora began to feel guilty for not telling them. He's not ready to reveal his painful secret just yet.
Plucky: What's the matter with you? You're not hiding anything from us, are you?
Sora: Who, me? No way!
Dizzy crossed his arms and lowers his eyes with disappointment. He could tell that Sora was lying to them. Dizzy saw guilt in his eyes, knowing he was hiding something. Before Dizzy could act, the intercom went off and announced the trio for their next match. Sora sighs with relief, knowing that Plucky and Dizzy were going to try and get him to spill the beans.
Sora: Thank goodness. Saved by the bell.
The trio left for the arena for their next match, with Plucky and Dizzy keeping their eyes on their leader. They arrived at the arena, ready for their next opponents. Their next opponent is Team Goku. Goku and Seiya walks up to the arena. Seiya was in his Sagittarius Armor.
Gohan: Come on, dad! Show them what you got!
Dende: You can do it, Goku!
Sora: Hey, Goku! Hey, Seiya! I see that you got your golden armor on.
Seiya: Yeah. I did promise that I'd use it in our rematch.
Goku: And I did promise I'd go Super Saiyan, too.
Sora: Then why aren't you Super Saiyan yet?
Goku: I have to save my energy first, before the match starts.
Sora: That's fine. I'd like to face you at your full strength.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
As soon as the battle starts, Goku went Super Saiyan and proceeds to attack Sora, while Seiya took care of Plucky and Dizzy. Seiya uses the Pegasus Meteor Fist, firing a bunch of energy spheres on the duo, doing alot of damage. Plucky proceeds to use Gravira on Seiya. It puts him down, but did little damage. Dizzy proceeds to punch and kick Seiya, but like before, did little damage. Goku and Sora are still clashing fist-to-blade. Suddenly, Goku's punch sent Sora's Keyblade flying out of his hand. He then proceeds to punch Sora like crazy, doing alot of damage. Team Sora are getting tired from all of their attacks.
Plucky: Man, they're really tough in their Super Forms.
Dizzy: We need strategy to beat them.
Sora: We'll have to focus on Seiya first, then we'll deal with Goku!
Team Sora then went along with the strategy. First, Sora grabs his Keyblade and went after Seiya. Plucky uses Aeroga to protect the team from Goku and Seiya's attacks. Seiya proceeds to use the Pegasus Comet Fist, releasing a giant energy sphere at the trio, but they dodged the attack. Plucky unleashed Firaga, Blizzaga, and Thundaga on Seiya, doing alot of damage. Dizzy proceeds to use his Spin Attack on Seiya, doing even more damage. Sora uses the Ars Arcanum, doing a slashing combo on Seiya, doing even more damage. Seiya was panting heavily now.
Seiya: You three are very powerful. But I will not give up.
Seiya pulls out the Bow of Sagittarius and begins charging the arrow. He fires the Sagittarius Arrow at the trio, but they dodged and instead hits Goku in the arm. Goku screams in pain.
Seiya: I'm sorry, Goku.
Sora uses the Strike Raid on Seiya, finally knocking him out. Now, they can focus on Goku. He proceeds to deliver punches and kicks on all three of them, but they suffered only minor damages, thanks to Aeroga. Plucky uses Gravira on Goku, but he broke out of it. Dizzy headbutts Goku, but it hurts his head. Sora uses the Sonic Blade, doing some damage to Goku. He proceeds to use the Stun Impact, paralyzing Goku. Finally, he follows up with Ars Arcanum, doing some more damage to Goku. Suddenly, Goku gets a Zenkai boost, increasing his powers dramatically. He proceeds to knock out Plucky and Dizzy, leaving only him and Sora.
Goku: Looks like it's just you and me, Sora.
Sora: Just like last time.
Goku: But this time, I'll finish this one.
Goku proceeds to charge up his Kamehameha and fires it at Sora. But Sora uses Stopga, before it could hit him, and he quickly flew up to Goku from behind. When time returns to normal, the Kamehameha hits the arena, causing an explosion. Before Goku could react, Sora attacks him with Ragnarok, delivering a series of powerful combos on him, and finishing with firing a bunch of energy spheres. The attack did alot of damage to Goku. He fell back down to the arena and returns to his normal form, knocked out. Sora flew back down quietly.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
Sora walks up to Goku and Seiya.
Sora: Man, you two are really powerful.
Goku: Thanks, Sora. You're very strong yourself.
Seiya: Your team was able to beat me, before Goku knocked out two of your teammates. I don't think I can compete with you anymore.
Plucky: With Super Saiyan Goku, this is without a doubt the toughest battle so far in this tournament. Me and Dizzy still have a long way to go, before we match that power.
Sora: Maybe next time, when we both grow stronger, we could have a rematch.
Goku: It's a promise, Sora.
Sora and Goku both shook hands and took a 10 minute break. After the break was over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent was none other than May herself. Ash and the Girl Sora cheers for her.
Ash: Come on, May!
Girl Sora: You can do it!
Sora: So, I get to fight May next.
May: I've been training alot with Ash and we have grown alot stronger since. I'll show you what I'm truly made of.
Sora: I wanna see how much you've improved.
May: Me too. Prof. Oak gave me a new Pokemon and my Combusken has finally evolved.
She brought out three of her Pokeballs.
May: Blaziken, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, TAKE THE STAGE!
She threw her balls and out came three new Pokemon. One was a red humanoid chicken with white plumage on her head and fire on her forearms. One was a light blue turtle with a red shell and a squirrel-like tail. The last one was a light blue dinosaur with a green bulb on it's back. Sora noticed the humanoid chicken.
Sora: So, that's your Combusken, huh?
May: She is now a Blaziken. She has evolved yesterday, while we were training. She has grown alot stronger.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The battle starts with Sora going after Blaziken, Plucky going after Bulbasaur, and Dizzy going after Squirtle. Sora clashed his Keyblade with Blaziken's Fire Punch. Sora could feel the intense strength from Blaziken through the clashes. Bulbasaur uses her Razor Leaf on Plucky, who counters them with Blizzaga, freezing the leaves. He keeps firing Blizzaga at her, doing some super effective damage. Squirtle uses her Water Gun on Dizzy, but he uses Spin Attack to protect himself from the attack. He proceeds to headbutt Squirtle, knocking her on her back. After doing alot of the Fire Punch, Blaziken leaps up in the air and does a Blaze Kick. Her leg caught on fire, as she lands a kick on Sora, doing alot of damage. Sora slowly got up.
May: I see that you three have grown alot stronger.
Sora: Yeah. You've gotten alot stronger, too.
Plucky: Your Squirtle and Bulbasaur however are too easy.
May: That's because I haven't unleashed their ultimate attacks yet.
Dizzy: What?
May: Blaziken, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, time to unleash your most powerful attacks!
Blaziken charges up for an Overheat. Bulbasaur uses Petal Dance, which she unleashed a series of pink petals and deals alot of damage to Plucky. Squirtle uses Ice Beam, which she fires a beam of ice at Dizzy. It hits Dizzy, freezing him in an ice block. Blaziken fires her Overheat on Sora, doing massive damage to him. Sora and Plucky are barely standing up after this, while Dizzy is still frozen in an ice block.
Sora: Man, her Pokemon are really powerful.
Plucky: Yeah, her Squirtle even froze Dizzy solid.
Sora: We need to double our efforts if we're going to beat her.
Plucky: Good idea, kid. Let's do it!
Sora uses the Sonic Blade on Blaziken, doing some damage to her. Plucky proceeds to use Firaga on Bulbasaur, doing super effective damage. He keeps to it, until she got knocked out. Plucky then focused on Squirtle with Thundaga, doing some more super effective damage and paralyzing her. He then thaws out Dizzy, who ran after Squirtle with his punches and kicks, knocking her out. After taking out Squirtle and Bulbasaur, Plucky and Dizzy helps Sora with Blaziken. Plucky uses Gravira to pin her down, Dizzy uses his Spin Attack to do some damage, and Sora uses Ars Arcanum to deliver a slashing combo. After taking alot of damage, Blaziken eventually fell down.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. May ran up to her Pokemon.
May: Blaziken, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, are you alright?
Her Pokemon all nodded. Sora walks up to May.
Sora: That was a great battle.
May: I'm glad I get to have a rematch with you, even though I lost again.
Plucky: Maybe it's because we're much stronger.
May: You might have to battle Ash next. He also has a Squirtle and Bulbasaur. My own Squirtle and Bulbasaur will be rooting for them.
Sora: Really? I'm looking forward to that fight.
Sora and May shook hands and took their 10 minutes break. After the break is over, Team Sora returns to the arena. Their next opponent is Ash. May and Tai cheers for him.
May: Come on, Ash!
Tai: Show them what you got!
Sora: May was right. I get to battle Ash next.
Ash: This time, I'll be using my star team. It will be a four-on-four match.
Plucky: Four-on-four?
Ash: You better get another one of your friends. Prof. Oak gave special permission to the manager to use one of your Summons.
Sora: That's fine. I choose Hiei.
He calls on Hiei to join them. Hiei jumps down to the arena and joins Team Sora.
Ash: Let's go, Pikachu!
Pikachu: Pika!
Pikachu jumps off of Ash's shoulder and went on the arena.
Patamon: You can do it, Pikachu!
Ash pulls out three of his Pokeballs.
Ash: Charizard, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, I CHOOSE YOU!
He threw his balls and out came Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and an orange dragon with wings and a flame on his tail. May's Squirtle and Bulbasaur were cheering on Ash's Squirtle and Bulbasaur.
Sora: May was right again. Ash does have a Squirtle and Bulbasaur, too.
Ash: This is my star team. There's no way all four of them would lose.
Referee: Let the battle begin!
Pikachu went on top of Charizard and flew after Sora and Hiei, Plucky went after Squirtle, while Dizzy went after Bulbasaur. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt on Sora, shocking him. Hiei uses Fist of the Mortal Flame on Charizard, but it did no damage. Charizard uses Flamethrower on Hiei, but it also did no damage. Both fire attacks were useless against one another. Squirtle uses Water Gun on Plucky, but he dodged it and uses Thundaga on Squirtle, doing super effective damage on him. Bulbasaur uses Razor Leaf on Dizzy, but he uses his Spin Attack to deflect the attack and proceeds to attack Bulbasaur with his Spin Attack, doing alot of damage to him.
Ash: Your team's pretty strong, Sora.
Sora: Yeah. So is your team, Ash.
Dizzy: But Squirtle and Bulbasaur are still easy.
Ash: That's because they have not yet unleashed their ultimate attacks.
Sora: Why am I having a sense of deja vu?
Bulbasaur began charging up his Solarbeam, while Squirtle jumps in the air and hides on his shell. Squirtle starts spinning around and uses Hydro Pump to fire powerful streams of water out of his shell. His Hydro Pump hits everyone, doing alot of damage. Bulbasaur fires his own Solarbeam on Team Sora, doing alot of damage. Team Sora are panting very heavily.
Sora: Man...his Squirtle...and Bulbasaur...are stronger...than May's own...Squirtle and Bulbasaur.
Hiei: I guess it's time for me to go all out as well.
Hiei took off his headband and his shirt. He starts using his Sword of the Darkness Flame on Pikachu and Charizard, doing alot of damage. Plucky proceeds to use Thundaga on Squirtle, until it knocks him out. He then helps Dizzy take care of Bulbasaur. He uses Firaga and Blizzaga on Bulbasaur, doing a ton of damage. Dizzy finished Bulbasaur off with a headbutt, knocking him out. With Squirtle and Bulbasaur knocked out, Plucky and Dizzy joins Sora and Hiei. Pikachu uses his Quick Attack to run really fast on the battlefield, hitting Sora and Hiei. He then follows with Iron Tail, turning his tail into metal and clashing with Sora's Keyblade. Charizard uses his Metal Claw, turning his claw into metal to clash with Hiei's own sword. Both teams are not backing down from the fight.
Sora: Man, your Pokemon are really tough.
Ash: You have seen nothing yet. Wait until Pikachu and Charizard unleash their ultimate attacks.
Pikachu uses Thunder to cover the sky in thunderclouds. The Thunder falls back down on Sora and Hiei, doing alot of damage. Charizard then charges up his Overheat and fires at Sora and Hiei, but Plucky and Dizzy jumps in the way. They took the full blow of Overheat, knocking both of them out. It's now only Sora and Hiei vs Pikachu and Charizard. Charizard flew towards Sora and Hiei, grabs them, and flew up high in the sky. Charizard circles around the world several times, before descending back to the ground, and slams them both down to the ground. Sora and Hiei got up slowly, panting very heavily.
Sora: What...was...that?
Ash: That was Charizard's Seismic Toss. He usually finished his foes off with that attack. I'm amazed that you're both still standing after that.
Hiei: I have...to admit...you're far stronger...than any demon...I have fought...so far.
Ash: Well, it's time for me to finish this.
Pikachu proceeds to use Thunderbolt on Hiei, while Charizard uses Flamethrower on Sora. Before both of these attacks hit, Sora uses Stopga. Both he and Hiei manages to escape from the attacks and Sora uses Curaga to heal himself and Hiei. When time returns to normal, both attacks missed. Hiei proceeds to use Dragon of the Darkness Flame on both Pikachu and Charizard. Both Pokemon took heavy damage from the attack. Sora proceeds to finish them off with Ragnarok, delivering a slashing combo on them, and firing a bunch of energy spheres at them. Both Pikachu and Charizard fell down after taking the hit.
Referee: Team Sora is the winner!
The audience cheers for Team Sora's victory. Ash ran up to his Pokemon.
Ash: Pikachu, Charizard, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, are you alright?
His Pokemon all nodded. Sora walks up to Ash.
Sora: That was an even tougher battle than last time.
Ash: I can't believe you've beaten my star team.
Hiei: I am an A-class demon after all. You would face a real challenge from me.
Ash: I guess you'll be facing Giovanni next.
Sora: Wow! really? I can't wait to get back at him.
Ash: Listen. Whatever you do, don't lose to him. If you do lose, you'll not only lose your Keyblade, but all of us who lost so far will lose something special to us.
Sora: Don't worry, Ash. I'll beat him and win this tournament for all of us.
Sora and Ash shook hands and left the arena for a 20 minute break. Everyone was at the lobby, talking about the tournament so far.
Hamtaro: Congratulations, Sora! I can't believe you have made it this far.
Bijou: Me too. You're getting closer to zhe finals.
Sora: Thanks, guys. But what happens to everyone who loses the tournament? What would they lose?
Megaman: Me and Bass will end up losing our animal partners.
Sonic: Me and Shadow will lose the Chao Emeralds.
Digidestined: We would lose our Digimon partners.
Kirby: Kirby...lose...Warpstar.
Leon: Me and Cloud will lose our swords.
Seiya: I would lose the Pegasus and Sagittarius cloths.
Goku: I would lose the Dragon Balls.
May: Me and Ash will lose all our Pokemon.
Ash: That's why you must not lose the tournament, Sora. It's very important that you would win it for all of us.
Sora: Don't worry, guys. I won't lose this tournament. I'll win it for all of you.
Everybody cheers.
Boss: We knew we would count on you.
Oak: You better hurry up to the arena! The battle will start very soon!
Team Sora said good-bye to everyone and starts heading for the arena. The audience cheers for Team Sora, as they entered the arena. On the other side is the leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni. The audience began booing at the man. Giovanni gave a smirk and ignores them.
Giovanni: Long time no see, boy. I'm surprised to see you made it this far.
Sora: Giovanni! I've been waiting for this moment!
Plucky: You're going to pay for tricking us! And no one tricks the brains of the group.
Sora: You mean, Dizzy?
Plucky sweatdrops from the comment. Sora then turns to Giovanni.
Sora: You've hurt too many innocent people and Pokemon! Why do you do this?
Giovanni: Because I want power. Team Rocket's mission is to collect the rarest Pokemon and use their power to rule the world. I won't let three meddlers like you get in the way. I don't need that foolish warlock's help to obtain power. In fact, I'm lucky to be the last remaining villain after Ganondorf's defeat. My scientific resources have created powerful weapons to make even the strongest of Pokemon fall. I have entered this tournament to get to the Gold Match.
Sora: What's so important about that?
Giovanni: I won't tell you anything. But when I do get there, I shall use it's power to rule this world. It seems that those three buffoons have failed to defeat you. I shall be defeating you myself.
He pulls out three Pokeballs.
Giovanni: The Heartless are no longer needed. I can defeat you myself. I will obtain your Keyblade, as well as all the precious belongings of all your friends. Machamp, Golem, Rhydon, COME ON OUT!
He threw his balls and out came a gray humanoid Pokemon with four arms. a brown lizard with a gray boulder-like body, and a gray humanoid rhino Pokemon.
Ash: Sora, take him down for the sake of everyone!
Giovanni: Wishful thinking, Ketchum. When I win, your Pikachu is next.
Sora: We'll just see about that!
Referee: Let the battle begin!
The trio charges after Giovanni's Pokemon. Machamp uses Close Combat on Plucky, doing alot of damage to him. He follows up with Karate Chop, dealing a critical hit on him. Plucky was barely standing up after this. Dizzy proceeds to headbutt Golem, but Golem uses Iron Defense, turning his body into metal. When Dizzy headbutts the body, he took alot of pain. Golem then uses Rollout, curling inside his boulder, and starts rolling around. He hits Dizzy multiple times. Dizzy was also barely standing after that attack. Rhydon uses Hammer Arm, glowing his arm, and hitting Sora, dealing alot of damage to him. He follows up with Megahorn, glowing his horn, and hitting Sora again, dealing even more damage. Team Sora are panting heavily from all of the attacks.
Sora: Man...his Pokemon...are...really...tough.
Plucky: It's like...fighting...Akuma...Kazuya...and Krauser...combined.
Dizzy: Dizzy...could...barely...keep up.
Giovanni: It's time to finish this! Now, use Hyper Beam!
Machamp, Golem, and Rhydon all charged up their Hyper Beams and fired them at the trio. Before they hit, Sora uses Stopga to freeze time and the trio flew up in the sky. When time returns to normal, there was a massive explosion. Everyone fears for Team Sora's safety.
Everyone: SORA! PLUCKY! DIZZY!
Giovanni: It's over, brat!
When the smoke clears, Team Sora was nowhere to be found.
Giovanni: WHAT? Where did you go?
Sora: Up here!
Everyone looks up to see Team Sora flying up in the air. Giovanni was shocked.
Giovanni: WHAT? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! HOW DID YOU THREE MANAGE TO ESCAPE THAT ATTACK?
Sora: I've managed to stop time, before your attacks hit. It gave me enough time to avoid the attacks.
Giovanni: CURSE YOU, KEYBLADE BRAT! I WILL DEFEAT YOU AND HAVE THAT KEYBLADE OF YOURS!
Plucky: Try and stop us!
Sora and Plucky used Gravira on the three Pokemon, holding them down. Plucky follows up with a barrage of Firaga and Blizzaga. Dizzy uses his Spin Attack to deal alot of damage to the three Pokemon. Sora uses the Sonic Blade on Golem, the Strike Raid on Machamp, and the Ars Arcanum on Rhydon. He dealt alot of damage to the three Pokemon and sent them flying back to Giovanni. Sora and Plucky finished them off with the Thundaga combo, electrocuting all of Giovanni's team, and creating a massive explosion. Giovanni and his Pokemon were sent flying off the arena.
Giovanni: This can't be! How could I lose to three nobodies? I had everything under control! I'm suppose to win this tournament! Now, I'm blasting off like those three buffoons! Mark my words, boy! I'll be back, stronger than ever!
