September 1st 1994

Dear diary,

We are back at Hogwarts for another year. How I've missed the Ravenclaw dormitory, the Welcoming Feast in the Great Hall and our common room. I don't have much to report yet, since it's only the first day, but I can say for sure that I am going to miss Percy. I enjoyed dating a 7th year, but now that he already graduated, I won't be seeing him in between classes anymore. Professor Dumbledore announced that Hogwarts will be holding the Triwizard Tournament this year. I think it's madness, and I'm sure Percy will agree when I tell him. At least we will be hosting students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons. That has got to be interesting.

Dear diary,

I told you Percy would be furious about the Tournament. He's just glad that none of his siblings can compete. He's sure that Ginny would try and so would Fred and George. He doesn't think Fred and George could win, but Ginny could. His words, not mine.

Dear diary,

The delegations have arrived today. It was humiliating. Dumbledore had us sing the school anthem. Even a presentation for the Frog Choir would be more interesting. When something embarrassing happened last year, I could just look at the Gryffindor table and Percy would be there looking right back at me. I wish he could come back.

November 1st 1994

Dear diary,

Last night, before the Hallowe'en feast a lot of people were debating whether or not to put their names in the Goblet of Fire. Even Percy's twin brothers tried, but the Age Line around it made them grow white beards. It was funny, but I'm still unsure if I should tell Percy. Anyway, the Hogwarts champion will be Cedric Diggory, the Beauxbatons one will be Fleur Delacour, for Durmstrang it will be Viktor Krum and somehow Harry Potter got himself in the mix. I don't know what this kid has, if it's very good luck or very bad luck.

November 25th 1994

Dear diary,

Yesterday we were able to watch the very first Task of the Triwizard Tournament. The four champions had to retrieve a golden egg from that was being guarded by a dragon. I can never tell Percy, but I am starting to get excited by the whole thing. This is going to be interesting.

December 21st 1994

Dear diary,

Something weird happened today. I didn't think the Veela charm would be that efficient in me given that I'm… well, in love with Percy, but it was. Before I even realized what was happening, I had already asked Fleur to be my date to the Yule Ball. Oh, and to make matters even weirder… She said yes. I don't know how to break this down to Percy.

December 23rd 1994

Dear diary,

Percy is really mad at me. He sent me a three-page letter. I don't know how he found the time, though. He's always so busy at the Ministry, but I digress. He was really mad that I asked Fleur to go to the Yule Ball with me. I thought he would at least be glad that she isn't a boy, but he didn't seem to care about that. I don't know what to do now. I'll have to ask Cho for help.

December 26th 1994

Dear diary,

HELLO! GOOD MORNING! Oh, what a wonderful day it is. Last night was the Yule Ball. I danced with Fleur, which was great. She is a fantastic person and an amazing dancer. She's so light on her feet, it's impressive. Guess who also attended the Ball? Percy! When I saw him, I nearly froze on the dance floor. If it wasn't for Fleur, I would have made a complete idiot out of myself. I can't believe he didn't tell me he would be there!

I'm really glad he was. We got to talk and he wasn't mad at me anymore, then we snuck out. It was great. He didn't know the Gryffindor password, so I brought him here. It was worth it making him jealous. The things he said and did to me last night… I already miss him again. I'm going to spare you of the details, but I want to register that it was everything I expected and more. Of course, we had to be quick and go back before people noticed we disappeared, but we managed just fine. Oh, and the Ball was great as well. Nice food.
