Kol's POV

I couldn't sleep. If anything happened to Hope Klaus would somehow find a way to torture me from hell. I want to set the record straight and say that I didn't go looking for Katherine, she came looking for me. I was the only Original left that was still a vampire, meaning she had leverage. In exchange for the information on Hope's wearabouts she gave me the cure. I never would have thought that the cure would be something I wanted. Being a vampire is something I love deeply. But, I love my wife Davina more, and I saw what I became when she died. So I took the cure and I know have to beautiful children, Joshua and Cami. Rebekah and Marcel's daughter Nicole comes over all the time to play with Josh and Cami. It's like we are normal for once. But if I want to keep this normalcy I have to convince Hope to do the unlinking spell and Davina has to assist with it. It's a small price to pay for my family, but a large one at the same time. Before I can think about how I am going to get Hope to assist in the spell, Davina comes out of the bathroom and crawls back into the bed and checks the alarm clock. "It's 8:45. We have about fifteen more minutes before Cami's up. We can do a lot in fifteen minutes." Davina gives me that coy smile of hers that I love so much. "I like the way you are talking darling." I kiss her and begin to unbutton her shirt when I hear violent knocking at the door. I think I finally understand what mortals mean when they say you almost gave me a heart attack. My heart sank to the bottom of my chest. I can think of only one person who would be violently knocking at my door this early, Katherine. Davina gives me a worried look but before she can ask what is going on, Josh cries and then Cami follows. As she goes to check on the kids I hesitantly walk towards the front door and take a deep breath before I open it. To my utter surprise it is not Katherine, but Hope and Alaric. They look rather pissed and I can no longer break both of their necks in ten seconds flat. Hope is the first to break the silence with words I was expecting. "Nice to see you Uncle Kol! I'm the niece you tried to have killed!," she says bitterly. Before I can respond Davina comes to the door carrying Cami in her arms and Josh is holding her hand. Hope looks shocked as she sees three year old Josh and two year old Cami in Davina's arms and Alaric's jaw drops. Josh speaks in his broken toddler language saying "Are these dada's friends?" Davina quickly responds with a simple yes and then Josh says something confirming that he truly is my son. "But I thought dada had no friends." Cami clearly thought that was funny because she started laughing. I looked back at my guests and prepared myself for a very bad day. "Come in."

Hope's POV

A baby! Wait no, not a baby. Two babies! He kept two children a secret from us. And in order to have those kids he had to have taken the cure! I feel not only betrayed that he tried to kill me, but betrayed that he kept this big of a secret from me. I may not see Nicole very often, but at least I know she exists! After these feelings of betrayal sink in, I know feel confused on how he got the cure, and I can tell Alaric feels the same way. His brow is furrowed and he is looking at the little girl. We make our way inside the large home and sit down in a well furnished living room. I can tell that Kol's last deed as as vampire was to compel Davina and him this house in San Francisco and all it's furniture. I sit down next to Alaric on a grey l shaped couch and Davina and Kol sit in two love seats right in front of us. Kol scoops up the girl knowing that I won't kill him if he is holding a baby. The little boy walks over and looks at Alaric and then back at me. He grabs my hand and I can tell there is magic circulating through his blood. I give up my mean glare and smile at the little boy. "I'm your Auntie Hope. What's your name?" "Josh" he quietly says. His name is Josh. My heart almost breaks. I remember Josh, he was one of Davina's best friends and mine as well. I scoop up the little boy and put him on my lap and tickle his tummy. He laughs and then looks at Alaric. He crawls over to Ric and grabs his hair. Ric flinches and laughs. "Josh, do you want to show Mr. Alaric some of your tricks? You can take Cami with you." Josh jumps up and grabs Alaric's hand and begins dragging him to a playroom next door as Cami follows. Davina leans over and says "Please don't let them light anything on fire." Ric nods and takes the kids away. Josh and Cami. Two little kids who are named after people who died because they were connected to my family and me. I feel guilty knowing that Josh and Cami will never get to meet these little kids. I suddenly snap out of my sadness and remember that I am here for a reason. "Want to tell me why you tried to have me killed?"

Katherine's POV

I know it may not seem like it, but I really don't want Hope Mikaelson dead. I mean kidnapping her and murdering some of her friends would make you think otherwise, but I really don't want her dead. Hope gives me an opportunity to do something huge. If I can break the link between myself and Esther's stupid prophecy, than I can do some pretty big, never before heard of spells and I won't die! You see, Esther created me for the purpose of hunting down and killing her children, a tribrid hunter. But I guess she messed or something because I never really felt murderous towards them at all. In fact, I may or may not have slept with Elijah a few times over the centuries But of course she didn't want an all powerful tribrid roaming around with no way to be killed, so she added a little clause in her prophecy. I can do some pretty big spells, (I've brought one or two people back to life), but they take a huge toll. I have to syphon magic from myself, just like a heretic. However, if I syphon too much I begin to strip away my vampirism and run into the problem of killing myself. My theory is that if I pass down the hunter part of me to Hope then I am no longer connected to Esther and I can do the spell I need to do. Hopefully, the hunter gene is also defective once inside of Hope, and if it's not all the originals are either dead or humans so her job as a hunter was already taken care of! Then I can do a time travel spell I conjured up, go back to 1341, and do what I should have done a long time ago. I'm going to make sure Emily wins the merge.
