If Peter heard Sirius whine one more time about how he wished Remus liked him back, he would jump off the Astronomy Tower. Right now, he had limited himself to trying to suffocate to death in his pillow. Usually, he had James with him, rolling his eyes and making funny faces, but James was too busy in the shower for thirty minutes and counting.

"Sirius," Peter spoke when he decided he couldn't take it anymore. "Why don't you just ask Remus out?"

Sirius let out an incredulous laugh. "Are you kidding me? He would never accept it, or think it's just a friendly hang or something."

"You cannot be this dense. It's not possible."

"Oi! It's not like that." Sirius complained. "Can you imagine what would happen to us if Remus doesn't like me back."

Peter rubbed his face and sat up. He controlled the urge to hit his head against the wall.

"This is too much for me. What else do you need to realize that he is into you? Do you want me to match your horoscope with his? Do you want me to lay him down on your lap? Sirius, you two are basically boyfriends already."

"Merlin's beard, Peter. You're hopeless. It's like I'm talking to a brick wall. How can you not understand that it is not going to happen?"

"You know what, Sirius? I'm sorry. I'm really sorry that I don't understand what goes on in that slow brain of yours. I don't know how you can be so brilliant for some stuff and completely daft for other." Peter snapped, getting up and moving towards the door. "While I'm at it, I'd like to apologise… that you are depriving some village of their idiot!"

Peter slammed the door behind him, leaving a shocked Sirius behind. He almost felt bad for leaving James to have to deal with that all by himself, but Peter was on his last nerve. It was too much for him. Sirius and Remus had been pining over each other for months and it was time someone did something.

Peter sat down in the Common Room waiting for Remus to come back. This would all be over tonight.
