Kirishima rejoined the circle after wishing Bakugou a good night. He squinted, reached down and gave the bottle a cursory twist. It went around the circle a few times before landing on Midoriya, who gave a shaky laugh and followed Kirishima to the closet.

They stepped inside and tried to position themselves as comfortably as possible in the narrow space.

A few minutes went by in silence. The only sounds were Jirou's singing and the laughter from their classmates, muffled by the door.

"K-Kirishima, I have something to ask you," Midoriya faltered. "Your quirk is still developing?"

"Yep," Kirishima responded.

"Would it be correct to assume your quirk gives you the power to harden and sharpen any or all parts of your body? Is there a limit to how much damage the hardened skin can withstand? Does damage cause the hardening itself to slowly dissipate, do you lose stamina from struggling to keep your quirk active?" The "mutter mutter mutter" effect started to happen. Midoriya tended to mumble when he was overthinking. Noticing Kirishima wasn't saying anything, he asked, "Is something on your mind Kirishima?"

Kirishima was thinking of Bakugou. He straightened his shirt with long, nervous strokes. "Oh not really..." he denied. "That was just a lot," he laughed. "There is a limit and I do lose stamina..."

"I see. I'll have to take note of that," he said, making a mental note to write in his book.

"Midoriya, you knew Bakugou in middle school, right? Did he ever have a girlfriend?" He gave a nervous laugh.

Midoriya formed an image of Kacchan during his middle school years. "Kacchan? He was popular, but I don't think he had anyone like that."

"He was popular huh?" Kirishima massaged the back of his neck. "What about you?"

Midoriya mulled over his experiences or lack thereof. "Oh no, no one like that."

Kirishima brushed his palms together. "Do you have anyone you like now?"

"L-like?"

Kirishima breathed off an easy laugh. "Like makes your heart beat faster, you swoon over them you know. You seemed to enjoy that kiss with Todoroki."

Midoriya twirled his hair. "U-Um T-Todoroki? That is... erm. After that, I couldn't help but think about him that way."

"I got it. So you want me to tell him then?"

Midoriya drew up a shallow breath. "What? No!" He held up his palms.

Kirishima laughed; a hearty, genuine chortle. "Dude, I'm kidding."

"Isn't it scary to fall for someone you always thought of as a friend though?" Midoriya asked

Kirishima's face lit up. "It can be. Those relationships can also be the best thing ever!"

"But-"

"Time's up!" Hagakure said, she opened the door and blinded them with light. "Midoriya, it's your turn."

When they came back to the circle, Kirishima squatted next to Todoroki and whispered something in his ear. Todoroki blushed and mouthed, "Really?"

This worried Midoriya and shame spiraled through him. He reached down to retrieve and spin the bottle. His spin ended on Kirishima.

"Kirishima again," Tsuyu observed.

"Let's get Todoroki to go since he's next to him like we did for Bakugou," Ashido said as she pushed him up once more.

Midoriya's heart drummed as he walked to the closet with Todoroki. They stood fingerbreadth apart in the modest space. The door banged close.

"So... what did Kirishima say to you, back at the circle?" Midoriya's chest tightened with fear of what might have been said.

"N-nothing," Todoroki stammered, seeming nervous. Inwardly, he winced at how unsmooth that was.

This is not a good sign, he's never nervous, Midoriya observed. His stomach knotted and he tried to explain himself. "I see... It was just a thought I had really... I didn't mean for him to think I had a crush on you-"

"What?"

"Wha?... Wait, why are you surprised?"

"Kirishima didn't say anything like that." Todoroki's breath hitched a little.

Midoriya was internally screaming. Panic welled up inside him, threatening to swallow him belly-first. "I'm so stupid, I thought he told you that I liked you-"

"You like me?" Todoroki's heart pounded hard in his chest.

"I-I..." He couldn't bring himself to answer. A tendril of panic seized his chest.

Todoroki steeled his own nerves. "I like you... If that helps... But if you hate it, I'll throw it away. I've acknowledged it... I have the resolve to do that."

Midoriya let out a sob, he whimpered in the darkness.

A worried expression marred Todoroki's face. "You hate it that much? I'm sorry-"

"Is it okay for me to say I like you too."

"Me?" He said in a husky voice.

"I didn't think I could say it-"

Todoroki stops him talking, giving him a very hesitant kiss and draping his body all over him.

Since Midoriya didn't back away, he gave him another slow, gentle kiss. Midoriya also gained some more confidence and started to smother him in tiny and tender pecks, all over his face and jaw and neck.

I've never kissed anyone before, is this how it's meant to go? Midoriya pondered.

Meanwhile, Todoroki was thinking, How is he so good at this?

He cupped his cheeks, pushed the hair from his face, and moaned into the kiss. Midoriya rested his hands on his neck, just under the jaw. Todoroki started to leave a bunch of hickeys while gripping his thighs, unintentionally, not even aware he was doing it.

Voices travel from outside, getting closer.

"Ochako's awakened, huh?"

"Just in time to play. It's about time for Todoroki and Midoriya to get out."

The door jerked open. Midoriya and Todoroki jumped apart. Midoriya hit his head on the wall. They were disheveled, and it was pretty clear to their classmates that they'd been doing something. Midoriya's neck was covered in hickeys which Todoroki was so surprised seeing in the light. I did that, he turned the thought over in his mind.

17 faces were staring at them, most a brilliant shade of red, with their mouths agape. Jirou had stopped singing to gawk at them, her guitar abandoned to the floor with a clang.

Uraraka's heart wrenched at the sight, but seeing the way Midoriya regarded Todoroki his eyes sparkled with awe lifted her mood. She felt happy for her close friend knowing he was in good hands.

"Disgusting." Mineta was the first to speak, his nose wrinkled.

"We're not interested in your sour grapes. Okay?" Uraraka said, arms crossed. She jerked her head towards Midoriya. "Deku, tell him where he can stick his sour grapes."

Midoriya looked at Mineta's frowning face, then at Uraraka's encouraging smile. He gave a nervous chuckle. He held his hand up, pointing his index finger. "In the fridge!"

"Exactly!" She grinned, nodding her head.
