Chapter 1
Cyrus Renault was thinking about her again. The beautiful mayor Laura Collins. He knew from the first time he saw her that he had to have her, but she couldn't stand him. He laughed out loud. That just made him want her more. There was one major obstacle, however. She was married, to that incompetent quack Kevin Collins. He would have to do something about that. It would be so easy to get rid of him but how to do it in a way that doesn't lead back to Cyrus?
"Not yet," Cyrus murmured to himself. "For now, focus on getting her alone," meaning Laura. That would prove difficult, as she was the mayor of Port Charles and had security. He tapped his fingers against his desk and then pulled out his phone, then paused. What did he plan to do? Where would he take her? I couldn't very well take her here, could I? He thought to himself. Suddenly it came to him how he would handle this. "Oh Adam!" he called. Adam was one of his hired goons. Footsteps hurried into the room. "You called, boss?" Adam asked, hurrying in.
"I have a little job for you," Cyrus replied. "I want you to pay Mayor Collins a little visit…."
…..
"Wow, that was delicious!" Kevin Collins exclaimed, gesturing towards the food on the table.
"Thank you, Kevin," Laura replied, beaming. She let out a big yawn. "I am exhausted. Trying to keep the city safe from the likes of Cyrus Renault really takes a toll."
"Nobody could do it better than you, my love," Kevin replied fondly.
Laura stood up and went over to kiss her husband. She gave him a long, passionate kiss.
"Mmmm….mmmm!" Kevin finally broke free from the kiss and gave his wife a mischievous grin. "What do you say we skip the cleanup and go to dessert instead?"
Laura smiled wickedly. "I'd say, Dr. Collins, that you have a brilliant plan, as usual."
Kevin reached down and picked Laura up. She laughed, as they headed upstairs.
…
"I don't know, boss, seems kind of risky." Adam said to Cyrus, his eyes not meeting his.
"Just. Do. It." Cyrus snarled. "I promise you, it will be worth your while."
"But boss...what if." Adam was cut short by Cyrus' blow to his stomach. "Just go there and get her. And if the shrink is there, and he probably will be, take care of him first. Don't kill him," he warned. "Just knock him out.
"Alright, fine, we're on our way," Adam gasped, still struck by Cyrus' blow.
"Better bring Boggs, too," Cyrus added. "Meanwhile, I've got some preparations to do."
…
"Wow, Kevin, that was great," Laura whispered to her husband, as they lay in bed. He looked at her lovingly.
"Every moment I'm with you is pure happiness,"Kevin whispered back. "Well, what do you say, once more?"
Laura giggled sheepishly as she leaned in to kiss her handsome husband but they were interrupted by the doorbell.
"Who could that be?" they both exclaimed in unison.
"Lulu? Nikolas?" Kevin guessed as he got up to get dressed. Laura did the same.
"Probably," Laura muttered, though she was always happy to see her children.
"Weeeelllllllll…...there's always tonight for round too," Kevin remarked, kissing her on the head.
"You can count on it," Laura gave him a knowing look as they headed downstairs to answer the door.
