Yusei rolled over in his bed, he had been woken from his slumber by the sound of a tool tapping against metal, so he sat up to look over at his alarm clock. It was 07:12 AM so he got out of bed and went down into the workshop to investigate what had awoken him at this hour. His theory was that it was StarLight working on a duel runner however it turned out it was not StarLight but "Crow what are you doing?" He asked sleepily, Crow looked up, his face was dotted with oil "Oh hey there Yusei… Did I wake you up?" Yusei was walking down the stairs towards him holding a towel "No Crow you did not wake me." Lied Yusei "But you didn't answer my question… What are you doing? Here wipe your face you look like a human Dalmatian." Crow smiled faintly as he stood up, a wrench in one hand and a hammer in the other "Thanks bud." He put the hammer in his other hand and took the towel to wipe his face "To answer your question Yusei I was just fixing the brakes on my duel runner." Then Jack appeared at the top of the stairs "Morning lads… Am I interrupting something?" Yusei turned to face him "Morning Jack. No you ain't interrupting." Crow smiled at Jack then knelt down again "You want any breakfast Crow?" Jack asked kindly but Crow shook his head "Nah I'm good I wanna finish this… But thanks for offering." Crow began to tinker with his duel runner once more when the others got some breakfast. Suddenly StarLight popped her head over the banister "What is going on down here? Crow you have been messing around with your duel runner since two o'clock this morning." Yusei and Jack looked from StarLight to Crow "How did you know that' it was me?" Crow questioned, StarLight lent on the banister "Normally if Jack or Yusei are going to work late they warn me in advance you just do it anyway." Crow signed "How did you hear me? Your room is the furthest away from the workshop." StarLight just smiled "My hearing is more sensitive than Jack's or Yusei's so it was not hard for me to hear it." Crow smiled faintly "I should've guessed that… Sorry did I keep you up?" StarLight shook her head "No I just blocked it out." Crow put the tools away in the box that was next to him, shut the lid then stood up however when he standing he was leaning on his duel runner as if he could not stand on his own "You ok Crow?" Jack asked. Crow could not see straight, his vision was all blurry "Yeah I'm fine Jack, I just stood up too fast that's all." Jack turned his back on Crow as he opened a cupboard to get a mug out so he could have a coffee "Anyone else wanna coffee?" He asked "Go on then." StarLight said. Yusei was about to answer when he heard a loud thud, he turned to look at Crow… He was now on the floor face first "CROW!" He cried, Jack and StarLight turned around quickly to see Yusei running towards Crow. He knelt down next to him and turned him over onto his back "Crow you ok pal?" He asked, Crow opened his eyes slowly "Yeah I'm good Yusei I'm just tired, I ain't been sleeping well for the last few days." Yusei helped Crow to his feet by this time StarLight had joined Jack in the kitchen "I think you better go to bed Crow, try to get some rest." She said kindly Crow smiled faintly "Yeah sure thing." Yusei helped him to his room then joined the other's back in the kitchen "Something is troubling him." StarLight announced as soon as Yusei was by her side "How can you tell?" Jack asked as he turned to put the milk back into the refrigerator "Three things give it away Jack. One he was up at two o'clock and we all know that Crow is not a morning person. Two he skipped having breakfast, he always has breakfast and three he was messing around with his duel runner and I know for a fact that there is nothing wrong with it, that's something he does when he is troubled." Jack and Yusei did not question it, if anyone could tell if something was wrong with someone StarLight could somehow she could read anyone like a book "We need to find out what's wrong? Otherwise this will just get worse." She added Yusei looked puzzled "How? You know Crow he is not the type of person who will tell you what is wrong." StarLight smile "We look
into his mind." Jack and Yusei just stared "When you say 'we' you mean 'you'?" Yusei said, StarLight smiled "Yeah that's right considering I'm the only one with the power to do that." "But won't he know you are in his mind?" Jack questioned "He would only know if I was to interact with things. I'm only looking." Jack and Yusei nodded. "Go ahead StarLight however he won't like it if he finds out, you know he is totally against you swimming around in his mind." Jack sadly said, she smiled "I'll take the punishment Jack." StarLight rolled up her sleeve to reveal her mark of the Crimson Dragon, she placed her hand over it, closed her eyes and thought of the mark on Crow's arm soon she was able to see what Crow was dreaming about and his dream played out like this.
Crow was walking down the streets of Satellite when he was suddenly surrounded by a group of thugs 'Can I help you with something gentleman?' Crow said as he looked around to see that he was completely surrounded 'No but we could possibly help you.' One of the said. Crow smiled 'Haven't you got anything better to do? Go annoy some sector security goons or something' That made them a little mad 'You messing with us kid!' One shouted 'So what if I am?' He answered. 'Take a little advice kid… Don't mess with us or you may end up getting hurt.' Crow just laughed 'I will take that into consideration. Now let me give you some advice don't act so tough when you clearly looked like you couldn't take on a toddler.' Just then one of the men stood forward 'You act tough for a kid, I'm the boss around here call me Cody.' Cody moved out of the circle which was around Crow "What brings you to this end of the Satellite kid? Lose your way?' He asked 'I was just passing through.' He answered 'Now surely you know this part of Satellite is run by us?' Crow smiled smugly 'You couldn't run a flea circus.' Cody's face was slowly turning red 'Watch your tongue boy!' Cody ran his eyes up and down Crow when his eyes saw something twinkling from under his shirt 'Say kid you wearing a necklace of some kind?' He asked 'So what if I am?' Crow answered steely, Cody smiled 'By the way you answered I take that as a yes and I think it means alot to you.' Cody then reached out and grabbed it, when his hand was back at his side it revealed that Crow had been wearing a golden locket which had a silver feather on it, two men were holding Crow back 'Hey give that back!' He shouted but Cody smiled 'I think I will keep it come and get it when you have a deck.'
StarLight opened her eyes widely then she hovered her hand over her mark "What is it StarLight? What did you see?" Asked Jack. StarLight did not speak nor did she move an inch, she was so confused. What had she seen? The only person who could tell her that Crow but the question was would he tell her everything? Just then Crow popped his head over the banister "What's going on?" He asked just then he noticed StarLight's hand hovering over her mark "Why's your hand over your mark? Was it hurting? Did you sense something?" He questioned. She shook her head "No it was not any of them." Crow was happy that was not the case however if that was so there was only one other reason for it "Were you looking at my dreams?!" He cried, she nodded "You know I hate it when you do that!" He shouted loudly "I know you do Crow but I felt it the only way to find what is up with you." She told him, Crow's eyes narrowed "Nothing is up with me I'm fine." Yusei stood forwards "Calm down Crow… Take it easy you have never gotten this worked up about her doing this before." Yusei said to his ginger headed friend "I have my reasons Yusei!" Now Jack got involved "You may have your reasons Crow but that's no excuse for shouting at the top of your lungs at a friend." StarLight had fallen silent, she was listening to the boys shouting at one another
"They took it didn't they…" She finally spoke, Crow turned "What?" She looked up at him, her eyes wide open and repeated what she had just said. Crow turned away from them all "I don't what you are on about!" StarLight waved her arm at Yusei and Jack to tell them to back off, they nodded and stepped back "Crow talk to us… We can't help you if we don't know what's wrong now can we." She said sweetly to him but Crow did not say a word "It happened three years ago today didn't?" Crow closed his eyes and clenched his first "Yeah… It happened three years ago." StarLight went over to him and placed her arm around his shoulders "Come sit… I may have seen what you were dreaming but if I am honest I am totally confused and the lads don't even know what's going on." StarLight smiled at Crow as they walked over to the table were all four of them sat, a mug of coffee sitting in front of each of them.
Crow took a sip of his coffee "I will get straight to the point… Three years ago while I was walking alone in the Satellite a gang of thugs stole something very precious to me… It was a gold locket which I wore every hour of the day… It never left my neck. I will never forget what they said to me." "What was that?" Asked Yusei "They told me to come back when I had a real deck which meant they were implying I was a rubbish duelist." Jack smiled "What was in it?" He quickly changed the subject Crow ran his finger around the rim of his mug "It contained the only photo of me and my parents." Everyone looked at Crow from all corners of the table "You have never told us anything about your parents when we were kids." Jack said, Crow closed his eyes "I didn't tell you a lot when we were kids Jack and there are reasons for that." Yusei smiled faintly "What happened to your parents?" He asked, Crow opened his eyes "When I was four they just vanished… About a week after I got the locket it was a gift from them for my fourth birthday." He looked down at the table. "My partners loved me with all their hearts… They never wanted anything bad to happen to me… I also did not want anything to happen to them… They were my world…" Everyone sat there in silence "Do you know where these thugs are?" Asked Jack "Yeah I know where they are… I just have never had the guts to go and face them." Jack looked puzzled "Why not?" Crow looked up to face him "The reason is what if I lost… Why would they do? What else would they steal? My duel runner or my black winged dragon." Yusei sighed. He he never seen Crow like this it was clear that locket meant a lot to him much like his duel runner and one very special duel monster card (Black Winged Dragon). StarLight stood up "Come on let's go." The lads looked up at her "Go? Go where StarLight?" Asked Crow "We are going to find these thugs and you are going to get your locket back. You can't hide from this forever."
