Chapter 1-

The clouds covered overhead as the airport below was filled with souls rushing around to catch a flight. Yasha sat near a gate waiting for her seven am flight to board. The young girl was anxious as her parents haven't seen her in a few months since they sent her away to boarding school in Britain. Yasha was an independent youngling who knew her best years were to come. The girl was running her fingers through her long ebony hair as another sound came from the overhead intercom system. The fake voice alerted its buildings occupants that flight 313 was delayed until nine am for snow removal from the runway. Yasha groaned a little in defeat as the last thing she needed was a delay. The seventeen year old got up from her spot in search of caffeine to kill the extra time. The girl walked around the terminal luckily finding a small coffee shop. Yasha walked up to the airport cafe finding a few customers waiting to give their orders.

'As of now flight 232 out of Spain is arriving at gate..' Yasha tuned out the announcements that didn't pertain to her flight as she was sipping her coffee while texting her dad about the flight delay. His only response was a quick confirmation followed by an order to keep him updated on what time he should pick her up from the airport. Yasha checked the time on her watch as it was already half past seven. She let out a small sigh as the day was not starting out too well. Just then she got a good morning text from her mother. Yasha unlocked her phone and texted her mother back giving her the same spiel about how her morning flight was delayed. Her parents were fairly loving and supportive of her. Her mother and father were both famed writers who met a while ago in Italy while traveling. He was from the country while she was visiting from Scandinavia. After a few months they decided to settle down in the country of Germany where she was born and raised.

The teen turned off her phone to preserve its power as she checked her wrist watch again. It was almost eight am. Yasha bit her lip and waited some more as she pulled out her copy of the fellowship of the ring to read. She was just starting the second half of the third chapter. She only just bought the trilogy of books from a second hand book shop a few weeks ago but was caught up with finals and papers.

Yasha was broken out of her thoughts as her flight started to board. She rushed over to the gate throwing away the empty cup on the way. "Ticket?" "One second, I know I have it. Here it is." Yasha handed over her airline ticket and watched as the ticket stub was broken off and scanned.

The plane was halfway filled as she walked the aisle to find her seat. She sat in an emergency row seat feeling glad for the extra leg room. Yasha was seated by her lonesome in her section as the plane was getting ready to take off. She texted her parents that she made it on her first flight before turning her device off. The girl leaned back into her chair and let her mind think about her folks. After all she had to keep their secrets from everyone as they were respectively the punisher of broken oaths and the goddess of earth. Her parents were Orcus and Sif. Two powerful deities of the old world.
