Transphobes/homophobes don't read ANY OF this fic because the main characters are Elena and Ellie, who is a trans lesbian and a cis lesbian.
"Hey, Elena. You wanna go to a cafe later?" Ellie asked her friend. Elena smiled.
"I'd love that! Thanks for asking, Ellie!" She replied. Ellie gave Elena a slight nod and walked over to the hotel reception desk. Ernest looked up at his daughter.
"What?" He asked.
"I'm going out later," she told him. He raised his eyebrows.
"You never asked. But ok," he said. She smiled and ran to the elevator to go and change into something other than black shorts and a white top.

About 3 hours later, the two of them were laughing and joking on their way to a cafe. Elena opened the door to the cafe and Ellie ducked under her arm to get in first. Elena gasped in mock anger then laughed. The two of them went to sit down and the waitress appeared within 5 minutes.
"May I take your order?" She asked. Elena smiled and picked up the menu.
"You sell mashed potato?" She asked. The waitress nodded.
"Would you like some,miss?" She asked. Elena shook her head.
"No thank you. I don't like it," she said. She paused for a second before smiling.
"Did you call me miss?" She asked the waitress.
"Well, you looked like a girl to me, and I saw your badge," she said, pointing to Elena's transgender badge. Elena smiled.
"Thank you. That's the first time a stranger has ever seen me as a girl," she said, tears of joy in her eyes.
"You dislike mash?" Ellie asked her, after they'd both ordered hotdogs.
"Yes,why?" She replied. Ellie smiled.
"Me too, girl. Me too."
