Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the origin of the Amazons arc concludes, as Naegi makes a choice on what to do and what path he chooses…

Ch. 29: kaiketsu suru
Meanwhile the scene shifts at the basement area of the building where Fenrir is outside a lab room where scientists are studying the Amazon that was taken down at the tunnel earlier, but then as Sakakura peered through the door glass, he noticed that the Amazon, which somewhat solidified, is shown to have cracks appearing, and he told Munakata about it.
Upon seeing it, Munakata told Sakakura to check it out, then he will alert the others to be ready.
"Sakakura."
"Yeah?"
"Go inside and have a look."
"Then?"
"Call me by radio if what you think is what we fear…"
"Okay."
"Good."
"I'm heading there."
Nodding, Sakakura went inside the lab to check out the scientists, and there he told them that cracks are forming, which the scientists noticed it, then they saw more cracks forming until the Amazon- which became solid, cracked further until it EXPLODED, and there it is revealed that the Amazon from the tunnel that was seemingly defeated by Naegi earlier turned into a pupa, and now it evolved, becoming the Swallowtail Amazon.
The scientists became terrified at what they are seeing and feared for their lives.
"WWWAAAHHH!"
"IT'S ALIVE!"
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
"I'M OUT OF HERE!"
"RUN BEFORE THAT THING GETS YOU!"
"WAIT FOR ME!"
"MOMMY!"
Sakakura told the scientists to run for it as he opened fire and shoots the Swallowtail Amazon, but the amazon, who resembled a humaoind butterfly-like entity, flew around and caught one of the fleeing scientists and began chewing out his neck, which the scientist screams out in pain as he is being disemboweled, and Sakakura radioed Munakata about the situation.
There Munakata told Sakakura to keep the Amazon busy while the rest of Fenrir are heading there.
"Sakakura! Keep that vermin busy till we get there!"
"I'm on it!"
"Unload everything you got!"
"Am doing it already!"
"We might have to do it ourselves! We haven't gotten word if Ryota is cleared to go or not…"
"Just great!"
"We're almost there!"
"Yeah…"
The Swallowtail Amazon then pinned down two more fleeing scientists and began eating them out, and the victims screamed for help as they are brutally being disemboweled by the hungry Amazon.
"WWWAAAHHH!"
"AAAIIIEEE!"
"DON'T EAT ME!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
"SOMEONE HELP US!"
"I DON'T WAT TO BE EATEN!"
"GET OFF ME!"
"MOMMY!"
Sakakura is forced to bring out a grenade and told the remaining scientists to run for it which they are too busy panicking as they are scared to death at the thought of being eaten alive, and they were pushing each other away as they scrambled for the exit door while screaming in terror.
"WWWAAAHHH!"
"OUT OF MY WAY!"
"STOP PUSHING ME!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
"I'M OUT OF HERE!"
"I HATE THIS JOB!"
"DON'T LEAVE ME!"
"MOMMY!"
Sakakura tried everything to stall the amazon but the Amazon wouldn't budge and went after the remaining scientists, until the rest of Fenrir members arrived, though Ryota isn't with them as he is not yet cleared to go into battle, and there Sakakura told Munakata the situation, and as the others escorted the surviving scientists out of the lab, Muntakata told Ikusaba and Izayoi to assist Sakakura in dealing with the Amazon.
The two joined Sakakura as they attempt to slow it down but the Amazon was a bit quick due to its flying abilities and the three Fenrir members are facing a pinch as they have difficulty in pinning the target down without risking getting caught and eaten alive.
"Damn! That flying flake's too fast!"
"We got to ground him!"
"Blast it! We're quite short-handed right now!"
"Izayoi…do you have a crossbow or something?"
"Nope…only knives and blades…"
"Never mind it…just plow it with ammo and all!"
"Okay…"
"Fine…"
"Shit!"
Suddenly, Ryota came as he saw the scientists running for their lives, as well as sensing the presence of another Amazon, and Munakata is quite concerned and asked Ryota if he is cleared, in which he said he feels fine, and after some moment, he told Ryota to join in on the battle.
Ryota asked if this is okay, which Munakata nodded, and there Ikusaba, Sakakura and Izayoi called out Ryota and INVITED him to join in on the FUN, which somewhat moved him as his fellow Fenrir members want him back on the battlefield.
"Hey, Ryota!"
"Come on!"
"Join us!"
"We're having a party!"
"A party…? Really?"
"Yeah! And you're invited!"
"Don't be shy!"
"We got plenty for you!"
Nodding, Ryota transforms into the Mole Amazon and jumps down, grabbing the Swallowtail Amazon and pinned it down, and this allows Izayoi to use his bladed weapons to piece the target while it is pinned down.

Back at the holding cell, Naegi stood still after being told by Nagito about the origin of the Amazons how it started and why Nagito chose to become one in order to wipe out the Amazons as well as to ruin what Nozama Pharmaceutical started, and this made Naegi feel disgusted, but Makoma attempted to charm her way into making Naegi forget all this by saying that he is not like the other Amazons, and urges him to GO HOME, but he shoved her hard which shocked her.
"Oh!"
"Don't you touch me!"
"Makoto…"
"You made me…so I can become your guinea pig?"
"No, Makoto…you are different…you…"
"Shut up! Regardless of what you say…I'm still an Amazon! And the other Amazons…you made them so you can toy with them and rid them if they are useless to you…!"
"Makoto…"
"…"
Nagito snickered as he saw something in Naegi, and asked if he is now siding with the Amazons, reminding him that once the Amazons have AWAKENED, there is no way of reasoning them as they will be consumed with the craving of protein and all they can think is to eat anything, like humans.
"Hey, lucky boy with the ahoge…"
"What…?"
"You know what will happen if those THINGS are awakened…"
"…"
"They are driven by hunger for protein…and they will hunt people…and you can't reason with them…"
"…"
"So what's your stand? Protect them or kill them?"
"…"
Naegi then proclaimed that he will protect those who are deserving to be protected, be it humans or Amazons, and there he ate the burger and ran off, leaving Makoma shocked at the turn of events, and Nagito snidely remarked that Naegi is not like him or the Amazons created, expecting that she would throw a fit at being defeated.
However, Makoma was calm and collected, and said that Naegi is neither of the two that Nagito just mentioned, proclaiming that Naegi is a THIRD TYPE of Amazon, and tells him that Nagito will remain a prisoner as he will undergo further interrogation, starting with the belt he created, much to his dismay at hearing this.
"Huh?"
"You heard me. You'll stay here."
"What about snack?"
"Fasting for you."
"Midle-aged bitch."
"Enjoy your stay, brat."
"Hope you get a menopause…"
"…"

The scene shows that the remaining scientists are now nearing the ground level, panicking at the fact that the Swallowtail Amazon is after them, and they shoved the janitors aside as they only think about staying alive, and soon they were cramped at the staircase as they were too scared to realize that they are only trapping themselves that they refused to give way while remaining stuck at the staircase.
"WWWAAAHHH!"
"OUT OF MY WAY!"
"STOP PUSHING ME!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
"I'M OUT OF HERE!"
"I HATE THIS JOB!"
"DON'T LEAVE ME!"
"MOMMY!"
Not far, Ryota, Ikusaba, Sakakura and Izayoi are having difficulty in stalling the Amazon, and there Munakata shouted at the terrified scientists to stop shoving one another and try to evacuate in an orderly fashion so as they won't get stuck at the staircase, but the scientists are too terrified to heed his words, and they only continue to shout at their fellow scientists to get out of the way.
"WWWAAAHHH!"
"OUT OF MY WAY!"
"STOP PUSHING ME!"
"I DON'T WANT TO DIE!"
"I'M OUT OF HERE!"
"I HATE THIS JOB!"
"DON'T LEAVE ME!"
"MOMMY!"
By then, Naegi arrived and seeing this, he pulled one of the scientists towards him which cleared the blockade and allowed the scientists to get through and ran off, and Munakata is rather surprised to see him, and there Naegi told Munakata his answer to the question he offered earlier.
"You…"
"Munakata-san…I know my answer."
"Which is…?"
"I fight. I'll protect…be it humans or Amazons."
"Don't you think that makes a stark contrast?"
"That is my resolve."
"Seriously?"
"Yes."
As the others stare at Naegi, Munakata appeared hesitant for a while, but eventually said it would do for now and welcomed him to the ranks for Fenrir, much to the other members' surprise, but nevertheless accepted what Munakata said, and as the Mole amazon is being hurled aside, Naegi went into action, putting the A-Driver around his waist, toggles the handle bar and initiated his transformation.
"Amazon!"
A-Driver: "OMEGA…"
His body glowed as Naegi transforms into Amazon Omega and charged toward the Swallowtail Amazon and fought ferociously as the rest of Fenrir picks up a dazed Mole Amazon and pull him back, seeing that he is too weak to continue the fight and decided to let Naegi handle the problem, as the two Amazons brawl and brawl until the Swallowtail Amazon flew up to reach the ground floor, but Amazon Omega held on and the two flew and went towards a window and ended up outside.
There Amazon Omega continued to fight the Swallowtail Amazon, and as the battle rages on, Amazon Omega moved fast and ripped the target's neck, nearly decapitating the monster, yet the blow is fatal and the Amazon fell to the ground, disintegrating in the process, thus ending the danger, just as Fenrir watches while arriving.
As Ryota ran toward Naegi to greet him, Munataka watches on as Sakakura asked him if this is the right thing to do, reminding that there is a possibility that Naegi might go out of control and starts to eat someone, not to mention that his CHILDISH principles might get in the team's way, but Munakata said that if that event were to happen, that's where Fenrir comes in, but for the meantime, keeping tabs on Naegi by having him join Fenrir would be the best option for now.
"That's what we'll do for now."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Munakata…"
"At the very least, we can keep an eye on the kid. If he goes out of control…we can pin him down."
"Fine…"
"Let's go."
"Roger."

At the holding cell, Nagito is starting to reach his limit as he hasn't been fed with any nourishment that has protein, and there Togami came and offered Nagito a proposition, and urges him to reveal the secret of the belt he created, which Nagito flatly refuses, saying he is declining on the account of COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT.
Togami sneered and said that either Nagito complies or remain a prisoner here for the rest of his life, and the teen boy snickered, saying that he will be leaving soon which made Togami baffled until someone hits him with a stun gun, disabling Togami as the attacker turns out to be Enoshima, who is disguised as a lab assistant.
Enoshima then disabled the controls where the bars are no longer electricity-laded, and thus Nagito can safely touch the bars.
As Nagito thanked her and offered a kiss, she sighed as she gives him a canister that contains two raw eggs that are already opened, and Nagito playfully complained that she arrived late, though she reasoned that getting inside is not easy, so he should be grateful.
"Geez, Junko…you're late."
"Well…it's not so easy sneaking inside if I don't have a disguise…"
"But you got in…"
"But you better watch your back coz next time you might not get so lucky again…"
"Sure, sure…"
"Now then…"
"Hurry, please…"
"I'm on it."
Enoshima disabled the controls and freed Nagito, and the two lovers escaped the building once they got the A-Driver back, and successfully fled, which Makoma is dismayed at how things turn out, and minutes later, Togami recovered, pissed at first but smirked as he proclaimed that Nagito won't get the last laugh, as Togami stated that things are about to CHANGE soon.

Hope you liked this chapter, as Naegi found his answer and resolve, after hearing what he heard from Nagito, and disgusted at how Makoma's company is doing to the POOR SOULS…
Nagito is able to escape, and it would be a matter of time before he and Naegi would encounter each other again…
