Ch. 30: Shichi kara fukkatsu

A few weeks later…

The scene shifts at downtown Tokyo, where a passerby happened to walk in front of what appeared to be a closed-down restaurant, and as the passerby is walking, he noticed two contradictory notes, which made the person very curious, as the two notes displayed says:

- Permanently closed

- Opened to serve you

The passerby was baffled, but his curiosity got the best of him and decided to check it out, and went inside, where he noticed that at first glance, the establishment, which turn out to be a restaurant, appeared deserted, and he walked forward until coming across the cooking area, where a chef is seen preparing food, and there the chef happily greeted him.

"Ah, good day, sir."

"Uh…good day."

"Come to dine?"

"Yes."

"Please…come in."

"S-sure. Are you really open?"

"Yes."

"Okay…"

The passerby asked if the restaurant is open and if he can have a serving of one person per table, which the chef smiled and said yes, and tells the customer to go to a vacant table, which the passerby nodded, and as he went to the dining area, he is quite surprised to see several customers dining, and there the chef approached the passerby and apologized.

The chef said he seemingly forget that the area is FULLY-BOOKED, and offered him a vacant dining area at the other side, which the passerby said it is okay and assured to the chef that it is not a problem.

"Sorry, this area is fully-booked. How about the other area? It is vacant…"

"Sure."

"I apologize for…"

"It's not a problem."

"Thank you. This way please."

"Okay."

"Food will be served in a minute…"

"Thanks."

As the passerby went to the other area, the chef nodded at the dining customers, which they did the same, and the chef went to the area where the passerby went, and closed the door, which the customers licked their lips in a foreboding way.

Inside the other room, the passerby wondered if he went to the wrong on as the area turns out to be an adjacent cooking area, and the chef took out a butcher's knife and struck the passerby on the head, slowly fatally wounding the hapless victim, and the passerby screamed for help, but the chef apologized, saying that this is nothing personal but for the SAKE of his customers.

"Sorry, sir…"

"AAAIIIEE!"

"Nothing personal…"

"AAAIIIEE!"

"Please don't think badly of me…"

"AAAIIIEE!"

"I am serving the customers…and you will be FOOD to cook…"

"AAAIIIEE!"

The area became a BLOODY MESS as the victim is hacked to pieces, the floor became a pool of blood, and tissues and organs spilled everywhere, and the chef CLEANLY dissects the dead victim and took the necessary body parts and turned them into burger patties as he prepared to cook them to serve the customers, and minutes later lunch is served, and the chef tells the customers to enjoy their meal.

The customers nodded and politely acknowledged the chef's services, as they turn out to be Amazons, and they thanked the chef as they prepared to eat the newly prepared meal, which consists of fried patties made from human meat and tissues rich in protein.

"Thank you for the food…"

As the Amazons enjoyed their meals, it was a peaceful one, as unlike the Amazons of recent months, the Amazons here appeared to be civilized, and not acting feral, as if they learned proper etiquette and manners, as if they are living in a peaceful existence.

As the minutes passed, things appeared to be well and peaceful, until one of the customers appeared to be in a discomfort, and clutched his left arm, where the metallic armband, which is the Amazon register band, slowly turned from green to red, indicating that an enzyme that keeps the Amazon from becoming feral from hunger, has ran out, and the chef approached the Amazon and calmly apologized and tells him it is time.

The struggling amazon stood up, placed the utensils on the plate and apologized while thanking the chef for the WONDERFUL MEAL, which the chef nodded and politely showed him the way out of the restaurant.

"I'm sorry, sir."

"It's…okay…"

"Please, sir."

"I…know…"

"Thank you for your continued patronage…"

"Th-thank…you…for the..food…"

"Thank you for coming…"

"G-good…b-bye…"

Once outside the restaurant, the Amazon is steaming as his human guise slowly melts away, yet he struggles to stay in control and not give in to his feral nature, but then Fenrir arrived, in two groups; one on the north side, where Sakakura, Izayoi, and Soda got off from the van and approaches the Amazon, and struck his left arm, revealing the armband that has already expired.

Soda told his two teammates that it is confirmed to be an Amazon and is on the verge of losing control and urged that he be taken down immediately, which Sakakura and Izayoi nodded in response, seeing that this has to be dealt with in PRIVATE.

"Guys! It's confirmed! That guy's a vermin!"

"Oh boy…"

"Of all places…"

"We need to keep him here!"

"Yeah, we know!"

"Couldn't agree more…!"

"Sakakura! Izayoi! Better hold him down!"

"We got it!"

"Hmph!"

At the south side, Ikusaba arrived, and with her are Mitarai and Naegi, and there they saw the Amazon steaming while screaming, as he finally assumed his feral Amazon form, and Ikusaba tells Mitarai and Naegi to get into action at once before the amazon escapes.

"Naegi! Mitarai!"

"Yes!"

"Go for it! Hold it down before he tries to escape!"

"Okay!"

"Got it!"

"Proceed!"

"RRRAAAGGGHHH!"

"Amazon!"

A-Driver: "OMEGA…"

Mitarai transformed into the Mole Amazon and went after the rampaging Amazon, while Naegi toggles the A-Driver and transforms into Amazon Omega, and joins the Mole Amazon in holding down the feral Amazon, in which they tried to confine him at the alley way as Ikusaba, Sakakura and Izayoi join in on the brawl, aiding the two Amazons in restraining the feral Amazon as it attempts to escape.

Sakakura then shouted at Soda to get the weapons ready as they are having difficulty in restraining the Amazon as it tries to fight its way out despite Amazon Omega and the Mole Amazon's assistance, in which Soda said he is almost ready as he is assembling the mechanical weapon he put up.

"Is that weapon ready?"

"Give me a minute!"

"Geez! Why didn't you assemble it while inside the van?"

"Can't! the van's moving and I might lose some screws!"

"Hurry up then! We're having difficulty here!"

"I'm almost there!"

"Damn!"

"Give me a bit of time!"

As Soda is preparing the weapon he put up together, Amazon Omega and the Mole Amazon are doing their best in holding down the feral Amazon, and they are having difficulty in keeping it down as they cannot afford to let it escape towards the streets as there are people passing by at this time, and the feral Amazon is screaming as he stubbornly attempts to escape, but is somewhat pinned down.

There Amazon Omega asked Soda if the weapon is ready, which he said it is, and there Amazon Omega tells Soda to use it now as he and the Mole Amazon couldn't hold the feral Amazon down any longer, as the rampaging amazon is on the brink of making an escape.

"Soda!"

"It's ready!"

"Hurry! Mitarai and I can't hold him much longer!"

"All is set, Naegi!"

"Tell us when to get out of the way!"

"I'll give you the signal!"

"Hurry!"

"Almost ready!"

Soda grinned as he brought out the weapon, which appeared to be a large RPG, and he tells Amazon Omega and the Mole Amazon to hold the feral Amazon by its arms as he will shoot the Amazon on its chest, saying that the shell will act as a corrosive that will melt the target and dissolve it in a minute, and both Amazon Omega and the Mole Amazon told Soda to open fire at once.

"Soda!"

"We got him!"

"Do it now!"

"Soda-kun!"

"Hurry while we're holding the vermin down!"

"Please hurry!"

"Make it quick!"

"Soda-kun!"

Soda grinned as he prepared to fire the RPG, and there he told Sakakura and Izayoi to get out of the way as they might get hit by the shell he is about to fire, stating that it act as an acid-like weapon and urged them not to get too close as their skin might MELT if struck by the corrosive element.

Both Sakakura and Izayoi nodded and tells Soda to let it rip and make sure that the Amazon gets roasted to bits as long as it doesn't go after people, and therefore it would be fine with them as the results count no matter what.

"Okay, Soda!"

"Open fire!"

"Rip it off with everything you got!"

"You better not miss this!"

"Make sure that vermin's roasted to bits!"

"And you better not waste that chance, Soda!"

"Do it!"

"Fire away!"

Inside the restaurant, the chef is busy cooking food, and can hear the scream of the feral Amazon as he is being assaulted by the Fenrir team, and though calm and collected, he felt sorry for him as he sees that the dying Amazon was trying to live among normal people yet his nature wouldn't allow it, while the other customers, also Amazons just stared at their plates, enjoying their meal whilst ignoring the sounds of battle taking place outside.

The chef then arrived and distributed the next batch of food and served the customers. The customers relishes the scent of cooking aroma made from the flesh and organs of the human victim that was turned into burger patties, and thanked the chef for the food.

"Thank you for the food…"

The chef smiled and tells the customers to enjoy their meal and advised them to stay here for the time being until the coast is clear, which they nodded, as they can hear the Fenrir members are getting ready to leave, having accomplished their goal of eliminating the feral Amazon.

"Okay!"

"Mission accomplished!"

"Stop acting like a pair of hyperactive, you two."

"Come on, Sakakura."

"Soda's right. We managed to keep things under wrap, and both Naegi and Mitarai worked hard as well."

"That's right! Want a burger, Mitarai?"

"Sure! What about you, Naegi?"

"…"

Nozama Pharmaceutical.

The scene shifts at the office where Kixakura watches on as Makoma has prepared a dozen sets of drones that are equipped with corrosive liquid elements that are capable of melting the Amazons once struck, and there Makoma is talking to the lead developer to have them ready once the order to launch them is given out.

"Are the drones equipped?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"And the elements are there?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Have them launched when I give the order."

"Yes, ma'am."

"Good. Wait for my order."

"Yes, ma'am."

By then Kizakura received a call, which somewhat made him hesitant, but he nevertheless went off and head to the main building, where Byakuya Togami is there, and with him is Tengan, where he told Togami that while he is skeptical of the planned experiment, he will let him as long as it would help the company and if it would make more money for the company.

Togami bowed and said that what he is doing at the moment is for the benefit of the Nozama Pharmaceutical Company and nothing more, and by then someone appeared before them, and Kizakura staggered back in shock, as if he just saw a ghost.

The person who appeared before him turns out to be Gundam Tanaka, and he appeared like he is never dead, as his mannerism from before is there, and yet acted business-like and full of confidence, and Kizakura asked how is it possible that Tanaka is still alive after being disemboweled and eaten by the Amazon several weeks ago, though Togami just smirked in response while adjusting his glasses.

"That's…!"

"…"

"How…how is it…?"

"…"

"What did you do to him…?"

"…"

"How can this be possible…?"

"…"

Togami smirked and complimented Kizakura for having his TALENTED staff work and successfully replicated the A-Driver that was based on the one used by Nagito Komaeda, and while Kizakura asked how Tanaka was resurrected, Togami instead tells Kizakura that Tengan participate in making preparations to financially assist in mass-producing the A-Drivers that Togami made.

Tengan then tells Kizakura to do as Togami asked, as this is where things would take a turn for the best, which Kizakura glanced at Tanaka, still at loss of words at how this has happened, and could not believe what he is actually seeing.

Hope you liked this chapter, as Naegi and Fenrir had a rather difficult job at keeping the amazon from being spotted by the public, and they have no idea that they barely stumbled onto a restaurant that caters Amazons…

Gundam Tanaka is surprisingly alive…even though he was eaten alive by an Amazon several chapters ago, yet he did not show signs of any change other than being confident and deadpan look…but then a new transformation belt is mentioned being mas-produced, which somewhat foreshadows something unexpected…

Naegi and Fenrir are investigating something which points to the area where they took down the Amazon, and makes a shocking discovery…

Nagito gets an INVITE as there is SOMEONE who will challenge him…and that the challenger is said to be more than an Amazon…hinting that he is ABOVE the level…
