Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc continues, and this is where our heroes face their GRAVEST challenge…
And that someone who died in the previous chapters is back and ready to rumble. You'll be surprised to see who, and what does this mean for our heroes once they find out who came back…
And finally an impromptu battle, which would foreshadow the events that would happen in the upcoming chapters…

Ch. 31: Shiguma no tsuyomi part 1
Nozama Pharmaceutical.
The scene shifts at the office where Kixakura watches on as Makoma has prepared a dozen sets of drones that are equipped with corrosive liquid elements that are capable of melting the Amazons once struck, and there Makoma is talking to the lead developer to have them ready once the order to launch them is given out.
"Are the drones equipped?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"And the elements are there?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Have them launched when I give the order."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Good. Wait for my order."
"Yes, ma'am."
By then Kizakura received a call, which somewhat made him hesitant, but he nevertheless went off and head to the main building, where Byakuya Togami is there, and with him is Tengan, where he told Togami that while he is skeptical of the planned experiment, he will let him as long as it would help the company and if it would make more money for the company.
Togami bowed and said that what he is doing at the moment is for the benefit of the Nozama Pharmaceutical Company and nothing more, and by then someone appeared before them, and Kizakura staggered back in shock, as if he just saw a ghost.
The person who appeared before him turns out to be Gundam Tanaka, and he appeared like he is never dead, as his mannerism from before is there, and yet acted business-like and full of confidence, and Kizakura asked how is it possible that Tanaka is still alive after being disemboweled and eaten by the Amazon several weeks ago, though Togami just smirked in response while adjusting his glasses.
"That's…!"
"…"
"How…how is it…?"
"…"
"What did you do to him…?"
"…"
"How can this be possible…?"
"…"
Togami smirked and complimented Kizakura for having his TALENTED staff work and successfully replicated the A-Driver that was based on the one used by Nagito Komaeda, and while Kizakura asked how Tanaka was resurrected, Togami instead tells Kizakura that Tengan participate in making preparations to financially assist in mass-producing the A-Drivers that Togami made.
Tengan then tells Kizakura to do as Togami asked, as this is where things would take a turn for the best, which Kizakura glanced at Tanaka, still at loss of words at how this has happened, and could not believe what he is actually seeing.
As Kizakura leaves, Togami stared at Tengan and thanked him for the support and for giving him the chance to try out a new experimental process which he believes would usher a NEW AGE.
"Just so you know, Togami-kun…I'm a little skeptical of this…"
"Do not worry, sir. Although experimental, I believe that it would benefit our company."
"Really?"
"Yes. That's why I intend try this out so that if successful then we can make plans to mass produce it."
"Hmm…very well. I'll be watching then."
"Thank you sir. "
"Now then…"
"?"
Tengan then asked Togami if he could show him a brief demonstration of what this latest PRODUCT can do, which Togami smirked and said that he will oblige, though it may end quicker than a minute.
"Oh, really?"
"Yes, sir."
"And you think...?"
"This is just the beginning. More are on the way."
"…"
"I promise that you will not regret it."
"We'll see about that."
"As you wish, sir."

At their apartment complex, Nagito and Junko are having late breakfast and are chatting some normal topics until his cellphone rang and he answered it, expecting it to be a prank caller since he isn't expecting any calls other than Naegi
As Nagito answered, a CODED voice spoke and tells Nagito that THEY have an OFFER for him, something that would give him a CHALENGE that would let him know the limits of his Amazon cells and powers.
Nagito scoffed at first, but the caller said that he will be presented an invitation where he would face a BELT-driven Amazon, which made Nagito feel a bit serious when the word BELT is mentioned, and he guessed that this has something to do with the A-Driver.
"And you're sure this isn't a prank call…?"
"It's not a joke. That I assure you."
"Why call me?"
"You always love a fight, no?"
"So?"
"You have a knack for hunting Amazons…so this one suits you. In fact this is one invitation that you'll surely accept."
"I'm listening."
"Good. Now then…"
Nagito listened as the caller said he will provide the directions on where to meet this challenger, and when will it take place, and after that the call ended, where Nagito checked his cellphone where the venue was sent to him, and Junko stared at it and displayed a rather worried look, which Nagito smiled and said that there is nothing to worry about.
"Relax, honey. It'll be a piece of cake."
"Really?"
"Really."
"The caller is from Nozama, right?"
"Looks like they wanted to discard an Amazon and decided to HIRE me to dispatch and discard it."
"Just be careful."
"I will."
"…"
After that Nagito gets up and took a shower, whilst Junko remained worried as she felt that a STORM is about to approach and this might be a bad one.

Elsewhere, the scene shifts outside the restaurant, where the van is parked outside, and there you can see Fenrir are preparing to make an undercover mission, in which they are to figure how many Amazons are in there and what are they up to.
Mitarai uses his Amazons senses to figure out how many, and told them the exact number, and Munakata formulated a plan on how to infiltrate the restaurant without spooking them. He assigned Naegi and Ikusaba to pose as customers, and which areas the Amazons are placed.
Munakata cautioned the two to be careful given that this might get a bit tricky since the place they intend to infiltrate is a restaurant, and that the Amazons there possess self-awareness, and both Naegi and Ikusaba nodded and said that they are aware of what is at stake here.
"You know what to do, correct?"
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"Just act like normal customers and try to find out about what's inside."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
"We will be ready once the timing comes right."
"Yes sir."
"Yes sir."
Soda smirked and assured to the two that they are on stand-by, and told them to keep their hidden radios open so that they would know what the situation is in there. Sakakura then asked Munakata if this is okay, which Munakata said that this is the only way to get in there prepared without alerting the Amazons inside.
Moreover, Munakata said that given that Naegi is an Amazon, there's a possibility that he won't be suspected of anything, which the others agreed, seeing that the Amazons target only normal humans and not any other Amazons, unless they are too hungry to restrain themselves.
"Makes sense."
"Yeah. Glad Naegi is useful."
"At least he won't be eaten alive."
"Don't you think it's a bit risky?"
"Relax. Mukuro can hold on her own…"
"And Naegi can handle it…"
"Oh fine."
"Naegi…Ikusaba…it's time."
Nodding, Naegi and Ikusaba proceeded to the restaurant, and acted like normal customers, where they entered and looked around, seeing the Amazons' human guises, acting like ordinary customers, and there the chef came and greeted them, and the two Fenrir members bowed and said that they are here to dine, and asked if this restaurant offered the BEST DISHES.
The chef smiled and said he have the best dishes ready, and offered the two seats to take, and even offered them a discount, which the two Fenrir members nodded and thanked the chef for the kind hospitality.
"Thank you sir. "
"Thank you sir."
"Oh, you're welcome."
"We would like to eat."
"Yes, really."
"Sure. Come with me. I'll give you seats."
"Thank you sir. "
"Thank you sir."
"Sure. This way, please…"
There the chef led Naegi to a section, where the other customers are there, and Naegi can sensed that they are Amazons, but to his mental surprise, they were not hostile and appeared peaceful-types.
As Naegi took his seat, the other Amazons greeted him and tells him that they can tell that he is also an Amazon and stated that blending into society is hard given their nature and said that they wished that they do not want to go out of control and live peacefully without the need to feed on humans.
"Although we're Amazons, we do not want to live like this…"
"I want to live quietly…"
"Want to enjoy life…"
"To meet people…"
"Have friends…"
"I don't want to eat people anymore…"
"Wish there's a way…"
"Why did they made us like this…?"
Naegi felt sympathetic towards them, seeing that they have similar outlook in life and this made him wish that there has to be a way to apprehend them without resorting to violence.

Several minutes later, Nagito arrived at a forest somewhere on the outskirts of town, and he looked around to see if this challenger is here, and he felt a bit disappointed that this challenger is late, and as Nagito is pondering on leaving, someone approached him and there Nagito turn around to see who just arrived.
He stared in slight surprise at seeing who showed up, and recognized him as Gundam Tanaka. Nagito started to become wary as he remembered well that Tanaka died after being disemboweled by an Amazon several months ago.
Tanaka smirked as he brought out something, which Nagito recognizes as the A-Driver, which Tanaka puts it on around his waist and tells Nagito that he is the CHALLENGE that he will face, which Nagito smirked and said that this must be his LUCKY DAY.
"Wow…how LUCKY of me. I got myself something..."
"Perhaps BAD LUCK, my friend."
"Hmm…?"
"Although this is a mere test, I will treat this as a real battle."
"You sure looked confident."
"Confident enough to defeat you in a few moves or less."
"What's this…? A chess?"
"Something like that."
Without ado, Tanaka toggles the handlebar of the A-Driver as he initiated the transformation.
"Amazon."
A-Driver: "SIGMA…"
After toggling the belt's handlebar, Tanaka's body glowed brightly as an intense aura enveloped him in SILVER light and he stood there once the light faded, and Tanaka appeared in a form similar to Nagito's Amazon Alpha form, except that it was silver-plated with red lines, giving him a vague resemblance to a red-bellied piranha.
Tanaka then told Nagito that he is now facing Amazon Sigma, and therefore the TEST and TRIAL will commence immediately.
"Sigma, huh?"
"That's the name given to me."
"Not too shabby, I must say."
"You better get started. Your life now has a limited time."
"…"
"And I doubt your LUCK would bail you out now."
"Really...?"
"Let the trial commence…"

Hope you liked this chapter, as Naegi and Fenrir are in the midst of facing a rather difficult assignment at keeping the Amazons from being spotted by the public, especially when they stumbled onto a restaurant that caters Amazons…and now both Naegi and Ikusaba are about to find out what secrets lie within…
Gundam Tanaka is surprisingly alive…even though he was eaten alive by an Amazon several chapters ago, yet he did not show signs of any change other than being confident and deadpan look…but then he confronted Nagito as he revealed a new transformation belt, which somewhat possess the same functionality as Nagito and Naegi's, and now he is revealed to possess the same Amazon cells like Nagito and transformed into an Amazon Rider, dubbing himself as Amazon Sigma.
This is something unexpected…and this looks like a dark situation for all…

Naegi and Fenrir are about to face a decision about what to do about the Amazons inside the restaurant…especially when Ikusaba's life is on the line…
Nagito accepted the challenge and takes on Tanaka. Who would win this battle…?
