Hello!

This is my first fanfiction which was inspired by the apparent lack of Fairy Tail fanfiction focused around the 7 years of the Tenrou Island time skip. I think the gap it provides in the story leaves much to the imagination so I decided after reading some of the fanfic's surrounding the aforementioned topic, that I would give it a shot for myself.

Anyhow let's get into the thick of it, I hope some of you can get some enjoyment from this during the 'less than ideal circumstances going on around the world at the moment'.

A thirteen-year-old boy could be seen surfing on a board of sorts across the ocean on the coast of Rikuzen, a port city in the northern regions of the kingdom of Fiore, strangely enough, seeing as the water was so calm it could have been mistaken for a lake.

Although the use of magic and some of its capabilities were known to many, most couldn't help taking a few moments to gaze at the boy's actions.

While the boy continued to make his way to shore, most onlookers went back to mind their own business. The boy effortlessly made his way ashore, and the board suddenly collapsed into itself, taking on the form of a blue engraved ring.

Unknown to many, this boy had just made a journey most could never dream of. This boy's name was Siegfried Pendragon, and he had as of today completed his long quest to traverse the ocean all the way from the continent known as Guiltina.

"Finally land, oh how I've missed you" He yelled. Although Siegfried had always had a natural urge to be close to the ocean or any bodies of water, after weeks of surfing through endless miles of the clear liquid, he had seen enough water for a lifetime.

"Don't you agree with me? Kisame" he asked to seemingly no-one. Suddenly the boy's hair began to rustle and a creature with an appearance similar to a blue-ish cat with gills hopped from his wild spiky silver-blue hair onto his shoulder.

"I couldn't agree more! Chief" the creature all but shouted.

"It doesn't look that different to me, but looks can be deceiving. For a country on Ishgar to have made a name for itself all the way in Guiltina, it looks quite peaceful, I was half expecting a war-torn landscape, mirroring the ninth circle of hell. but hey! peace isn't anything to scoff at seeing as most countries have trouble achieving it, or in the words of my father 'some countries are defined by war', let get to the town and ask around, and on second thought I'm starving"

The boy and the catlike creature made their way into the port city. Where they so expertly came to the conclusion that if they wanted information that the largest building had to be the most important one.

Walking around the boy noticed that most passersby had somber looks on their faces and were hesitant or even afraid to make eye contact.

'strange, It doesn't seem to be as peaceful as I had thought.' they boy mentally noted. Most wore worn down clothing and some even looked malnourished.

Making their way towards the large building, It surprisingly turned out to be a guild. Although in contrast to the state the rest of the city and its inhabitants found themselves in, the guild looked like it was carved out of pure rose-gold. It shimmered in the sunlight and boasted a black emblem depicting a skull of some sort.

Now Siegfried knew there was definitely something going on here. He walked as normally and relaxed as he could towards the massive doors, and opened them.

The sight he was greeted with, was almost as luxurious as some of the castles he had been to. But what caught the boy's eyes were the people, presumably, townsfolk tied up and bruised, some beaten to what seemed like an inch of their lives.

His expression stayed neutral, but if you looked closely one could see a hint of anger in his sea-green eyes.

"What are you doing in my guild, boy!" an angry voice bellowed.

Siegfried looked at the speaker and was met with the rough face of a tall blond man with an iron encasing around his chin, and a right arm that was attached to an ax of some sort.

"Who are you supposed to be?, Captain hook?" Siegfried joked only to be met with a swing of the hand-ax thingy.

Moving out of the ax's trajectory, Siegfried remained calm as the man spoke. "How dare you, unrespectful brat! I am Morgan the leader of the mighty dark guild Death Ax, and when I'm finished with you, you'll be in a worse state than those pathetic villagers over there hahaha"

Now, this did wonders if the mans aim had been to anger Siegfried.

"So you're the ones that caused all that damage, I won't stand by to see those people suffer, prepare yourself for a dose of your own medicine."

"Stupid kid, prepare to get crushed" Morgan screamed angry that the boy had been able to dodge his swings thus far. Aiming to decapitate he swung at the boy's head.

Siegfried extended an open palm and duct underneath Morgans swing. Aiming it at Morgan and his guildmates shouting "Gravity make Shinra Tensei!" In an instant, Morgen along with the rest of his cronies was sent flying through the roof of the guild not stopping until they disappeared from the horizon.

"Does anyone else want a piece of me? Siegfried asked calmly while cracking his fists." The remaining bandit's bolted out of sight hoping to escape the kid's wrath.

Almost instantly a crowd of people began to form around Siegfried. Suddenly they made a path when an old man came walking towards the boy.

"Thank you, my boy, I am the mayor of this town and we've been under Death ax's thumb for weeks. They have been terrorizing us and almost raised this town to the ground."

Siegfried couldn't help but smile at the happy faces in the crowd. But he wondered how a dark guild was able to openly operate in a city.

"I think it only natural for a wizard to help those in need, but I can't help but wonder, how was it that a dark guild was able to openly oppress this town without any resistance?"

"Ah, you see the local rune knights that were stationed in this town were apparently bribed by Death ax and as time went on without anyone showing any form of opposition they eventually joined their ranks. We sent a request to Fairy Tail, but we fear it never arrived. I know some of their members and they definitely would have come to our rescue."

"Fairy Tail? I've never heard of it seeing as I just arrived in this country, they sound interesting what could you tell me about them?" Siegfried asked genuinely curious.

"Well Fairy Tail is the #1 Guild in Fiore and known for causing chaos, but deep down they all care for each other and the inhabitants of Fiore. I met a group of them when they were on a quest to slay a sea monster and they left quite the impression. Especially that pink-haired boy that used a strange kind of magic we had never seen before."

"Strange magic?" Siegfried inquired.

"Certainly he used what he called Dragon Slaying Magic" The mayor listed.

'A Dragon Slayer, so they have those in Fiore as well. I think its best that I check out this Fairy Tail for myself. It sounds pretty cool.' Siegfried though while weighing down his options. After his father had all but kicked him out of his temple, Siegfried had no real place to return to so he decided that he would make his way to Ishgar to see what 'The fuss was about.'

Making his decision he asked, "Where can I find this Fairy Tail?"

"Its located in the town of Magnolia you can get there by train, don't worry about prices well pay for the ride and the reward usually received for a B-ranked mission, that is the least we can do."

'ugh, trains' Siegfried felt sick at the mention of his 'sworn rival' motion sickness. "That would be much appreciated, although I think you need that reward money more than I do. Let's say I get my ticket and a free meal and I consider it even." Siegfried said smiling as the Mayor happily nodded.

"Thank you for the meal." Siegfried and Kisame as they were about to head out to the train station.

"Wait" The Mayor yelled as he ran towards them. "I forgot to ask the names of our savior."

"Oh don't worry about It. The name's Siegfried, but my friends call me Sieg for short."

"Thank you Sieg on behalf of our village. If you ever need help in the future you can count on the village of Rakuzen!" He stated before turning around and walking away with some of the accompanying villagers in pursuit.

Fairy Tail huh let's try our luck there what do you think Kisame Yea lets go Chief Kisame said cheeky knowing that I would first be a victim to the horrors of public transport.

So this is Fairy Tail it certainly looks the part and if what that old man mayor said was true than it was well worth the ' unpleasant commute ' especially if those supposed dragon slayers are part of the guild.

slipping inside of the massive guild building Siegfried could see it was quiet whit a few occupants here and there and some small talk going on. All in all, it looked like a pretty uncomplete sight, as if something was missing. Seeing a considerably large guildhall so empty and devoid of life

As he scanned the room he saw a purple-haired girl standing behind the bar cleaning a beer mug while humming a slight tune to herself.

"Hey, miss would you happen to know where I could find the guild master I would like to join Fairy Tail". Siegfried asked the young woman

Visibly startled by the sudden questing the girl almost dropped the mug she had previously been cleaning. Adjusting her glasses which had drooped down her nose she stared at Siegfried with an excited gaze.

"So you want to join Fairy Tail, I'm not quite sure where Master Macao is. I'm Kinana nice to meet you". She said while sticking her hand out in a greeting gesture.

"I'm Siegfried Pendragon, happy to make your acquaintance," Siegfried said while shaking her hand.

"Someone was looking for me?" a somewhat elderly voice asked from behind Siegfried.

Turning around the young dragon slayer saw a man with a purple beard and slicked back purple hair.

"Yeah, my name's Siegfried Pendragon and I was interested in joining Fairy Tail."

Nice to meet you kid, so, you want to join Fairy Tail? Macao asked while adapting a questioning gaze what kind of magic do you use kid? He asked curiously

That was one of the reasons I wanted to young Fairy Tail. I heard from the Mayor in Rakuzen that you supposedly had a Dragon Slayer among your ranks. I use Water and Ice Dragon Slaying Magic and Gravity Make Magic and I'm able to use a small amount of Requip Magic for storing and summoning my weapons in the form of jewelry, Siegfried said before pointing to his ring and neckless.

"Wow," Macao gasped that's quite the destructive combination young man. "But I thought that Dragon Slayers were supposed to be limited to Dragon Slaying Magic how come you're able to use Gravity Magic, and did you say Ice and water?"

"I learned Gravity Magic before being adopted by my father Mercphobia and after becoming his Son I kept the ability I guess. I never knew seeing as I've never met a fellow Dragon Slayer and I recently arrived at the continent so I'm a bit in the dark about most things. The Ice part came from an implanted Ice Dragon Lacrima that I came across during my travels."

"That could explain It, wait did you just say you arrived at the continent?" Macao asked surprised.

"Yeah, I come from the continent in the North, Guiltina my father was one of the five dragon gods of Guiltina Mercphobia the water dragon king. I left after being ' kicked out ' when my father decided that it became a problem that I had not left the Water Dragon Temple and was as sheltered as a newborn puppy, and seeing as I had no real idea of where to go I went around wandering for a year or so practicing my magic and seeing the ins and outs of Guiltina. After overhearing some sailors talking about the countries of Ishgar I decided to Surf here and see what the 'so-called fuzz' was about."

"Wait surfed? How would you get from another continent using surfing wouldn't you starve along the way and what about waves if there aren't any how do you continue on."

Grabbing my ring and using my magic a surfboard with and an intricate design etched into it came to life. "This is my custom build Magic power surfboard I got it made with runes that could convert my Magic into a means of propelling myself.

As for food, seeing as I grew up as the Water Dragon Slayer catching marine creatures is one of my specialties." Siegfried answered with a slightly cocky grin.

"Ah, that is quite a useful ability to have. Now kid I have a question for you. Where does true strength come from?"

"I think true strength comes from protecting something truly precious to you" Siegfried answered seriously his gaze hardening considerably. Having been raised by Mercphobia a surprisingly peace-loving Dragon, Siegfried had learned that the most important aspect about being a king was protecting the kingdom and all who called it their home.

'Damn dad's antics must be rubbing off on me' Siegfried thought but seeing the smile form on the Master's face gave Siefgreid the indication that it had been the answer the man had been looking for.

At that moment Macao saw Markorov standing there instead of Siegfried. Shacking his head Macao gave the boy a smile and extended his hand.

"Now without further ado, I as Pseudo-Master herby welcome you to Fairy Tail."

"Pseudo-Master?"

"Ah, I haven't addressed this but the Master Markorov Dreyar and some of the Mages of fairy tail on a trip for our S-ranked exams they should be returning is a week or two, It is also the reason that we were unable to take the request to get rid of the Dark Guild Death Ax seeing as all our A-ranked mages and above are with the master."

"Okey, thank you Macao, or should I call you master Macao now I'm part of the guild" Siegfried joked. Only for Macao to sweatdrop and look back at the stacks of paperwork in his temporary office, but as they would soon find out temporary would quickly change into permanent for better or for worse.

Siegfried was walking around the busy port city of Hargeon. He always came here when he was deep in thought, feeling as though the fresh sea winds and the salty smell were calming his nerves.

The last two years had been stressful, to say the least. Between taking missions and training with his fellow guild member's he had been unable to take his mind of all things Fairy Tail related, and although the guild had quickly become one of the most valued aspects of his life he needed a breather.

After the devastating news that Tenrou Island had been leveled by Acnologia taking the bulk of Fairy Tail with it, the remaining members of the guilt including Siegfried had struggled to get to terms with the fact that they were indeed gone and the weight of keeping Fairy Tail afloat now rested on their shoulders.

Seeing as the senior members had all but fallen from grace Siegfried had worked himself to the bone completing mission after mission and rising through the ranks to make sure the could keep up with their expenses and let Fiore know that although most of the Fairy Tail members were M.I.A they would not falter and keep their reputation as Fiore's number #1 guild.

Although the latter had been quite the impossible challenge for the lone dragon slayer and the members that stuck around, they had managed to keep their building, making sure that if members of Fairy Tail would ever turn up again they had a home and a family to return to. Not to mention he was now an A-class mage and was now able to take higher-level jobs with better rewards.

Siegfried knew that keeping this up though was a different challenge altogether, so he was now not only relaxing but actively looking to expand the 'Family'.

Making his way onto the docks Siegfried saw a massive Galleon approaching. Seeing the wooden beast had sparked his curiosity as to what it was moving. Deciding to check it out he made his way to the now docking ship.

As he arrived the sailors had already begun unloading the ship. What came out were massive quantities of cargo of all kinds of fish and exotic looking fruit.

While overlooking the unloading process he suddenly saw a small mope of blood-red hair poking out from underneath the top of a cargo crate.

Making his way to the crate in question he slid the lid of an was surprised at what he found.

Sitting there amongst the crate of food, was a young teen, a boy to be exact, and a brown exceed with a somewhat scally tail, munching on the contents of the crate. The boy and cat duo suddenly registered that the crate had been opened and look at Siegfried like a deer caught in the headlight.

The exceed dove underneath some of the contents of the crate while the boy's green eyes took on a look of fear as a surprised expression quickly spread throughout the young boy's features. Siegfried put a finger to the boy's lips indicating the boy should stay silent.

Seeing as there were no sailers nearby Siegfried turned back to the boy and asked "What's your name kid, and why are you in this crate to begin with."

"I sn-snuck into the crate b-because I was hungry, I didn't want to but I was just so hungry. When I was trying to grab food the crate was abruptly loaded on the ship. I had nothing left there so I decided to stay put only sneaking out for water." The boy stated with a sense of guilt mirroring his apologetic tone.

"Don't worry kid if you want to I can take you in. I happen to be a mage and part of a Guild" Siegfried happily stated.

The boy's eyes went from sorrow to a shiny glitter at hearing Siegfried words.

"R-Really a guild, that's awesome! Grandma always said that my parents were part of a guild! And mother Psamathe said that I should join a guild as well. Can I really come with you? I would love to be a part of a guild." the boy rambled on and on but the hint of sadness at the mention of not only his parents but also his grandmother seemed to fill in the blanks to the boys ruffed up the appearance and apparent lack of a place to call home.

"Slow down kid! I'm sure that you'll be a great mage but don't get ahead of yourself first we have got to get out of here before the crew catches on that they've had an unwanted hitchhiker" Siegfried all but hushed.

This seemed to calm the boy down. Having forgotten of his current position in his rambling.

"Oh and my name's Siegfried, I never did ask for your name did I so what do I call you?" Siegfried blurted out whilst lifting the boy out the crate.

"My name's Gaara Suna! I don't know where I am but I came from a land called Desierto, I was adopted by a Sand Dragon called Psamathe. After Psamathe suddenly disappeared some year back, I went back to where she said she had found me as a baby. I was there that I met my grandmother.

Shukaku my exceed and I stayed with my grandmother for a few years to help take care of her. When she died I was tossed on the streets and the town had no guilds or anything similar.

So I roamed the streets for a month or 2 and that's when I entered this crate, and you know the rest by now." The boy again told his story while Siegfried listened.

'so the kids presumably a Dragon Slayer huh. That changes things.'

"Listen Gaara we are in a country called Fiore on the western parts of Ishgar. And as for your backstory coincidently enough I too was raised by a Dragon. Not just any dragon but the Water Dragon King Mercphobia so you're in luck."

"Are there any more like us?" Gaara had all but lost his shyness and was now firing questions left and right.

"Yeah, our guild has 2 other dragon slayers besides me. I'm sure we could help you improve tour magic!" Siegfried said proudly. Although he wasn't a Fairy Tail fanboy like Sting and Rogue, never let it be said that Siegfried wasn't proud to be a member of Fairy Tail.

A 16-year-old Siegfried was walking around the streets of magnolia when he overheard a conversation between two teenage boys. From an outside perspective, the boys seemed to be exact opposites. One was happy and quite cheerful while the other was quiet and gloomy, Sunkissed blond hair in contrast to hair so dark in color it could have been mistaken for a shadow.

And although the boys were clearly opposites they shared something in common. Both stated they had killed Dragons which picked Siegfried interest.

Emerging from behind the two boys Siegfried asked "so you've killed Dragons have, would that make you two Dragon Slayers by any chance?"

The boys turned around and were met by a tall and arguably handsome teen that stood at a considerably large height of 6 ft with long sliver-grey hair the ends of which were a blue color. His body was encased in a radiant silver woven plate armor with blue accents al around it in intricate symbols. While his chest was left exposed showing bulging 8th pack (Siegfried Fate/Aprocypta).

"Yeah? and what's it to you? The blond-haired teen asked while eying up the 'man' in front of him.

"It's just that I don't believe you. I would happen to be a Dragon Slayer myself and with the power, you two now hold you wouldn't last five seconds to a dragon. Let's say we have a spar you two against me, if I win I can give you two options.

1. You go on your way while questioning if you really hold the capabilities to have killed a dragon.

Or

2. you'll join my guild and I'll personally oversee your training, I happen to be partners with a fellow Dragon Slayer and you could definitely use the help and were in need of some extra hand's.

But if you manage to beat me I'll tell you everything I know about what happened to the dragons on July 7th X777."

That caught the boy's attention and in an instant, their gazes became focussed completely set on taking on the offer the teen had just made.

"What do you say, are you up for a spar o mighty slayers of dragons," Siegfried asked them in a slightly mocking tone.

"You're on, don't blame us for any permanent damage." They shouted in sync.

In a grass field somewhere in the forest surrounding Magnolia a certain Sea and Ice Dragon Slayer stood over the sweating forms of the now as good as defeated pair of Dragon Slayers.

"I don't know how you two came to the idea that you could kill a dragon but let me tell you what you're capable of you would have trouble battling an exceed" Siegfried scoffed. "You've let your own delusions take the better of you, you two became arrogant and lazy, but its time for you to get off your asses."

"Okey fine!" the boys moaned "you were right we could not dream of being able to defeat a dragon as we are now, our dragon parents were weak and hurt so the asked us to kill them!" Sting screamed in the heat of the moment starting to tear up. Rogue stayed silent but Siegfried could see the shimmer of pain and regret in his eyes.

"I can see your draconic parents meant a lot to you, they would have been proud to call you their Dragon Slayer, but you're both in need of some training don't you think."

They seemed to take some time to think about their options.

"Sting I know you don't like this guy and neither do I but he's got a point. He is probably the only Dragon Slayer left after what happened on Tenrou, and we were planning to join a guild anyway." Rogue said finally breaking the silence

"I know Rogue, but I don't want to admit it. Were proud sons of Dragons god damn it. We can't go around being tossed aside by some overgrown eel." Sting joked whipping away at his tear-stained eyes.

"Hey, I heard that, But my offer still stands. Fairy Tail might not be as strong as it used to be, but I'm going to bring change in that. It's for you to decide if you want to stand beside me while I do it or not."

"W-Well join we don't have any alternatives anyway. But don't you need the guild masters permission to let people in?"

"Well, the first should be obvious, to restore the reputation of Fairy Tail as the number #1 guild of course! And don't worry about the guild master because he's given me permission to bring people I see fit into the guild."

"So let me hereby congratulate you two on becoming full-fledged Fairy Tail mages!"

And that's about it for the first chapter. I'm planning on continuing this story and adjusting it along the way based on the feedback I'll get provided.

As for the pairing's their not set in stone so any request is welcome. I don't plan on making the Pairings too excessive so I think I'll leave it at a max of 3.

So far I've only partially leaned towards Erza seeing as her strict and fiery character could have an interesting dynamic with someone like Siegfried.

Anyway any suggestions and possible criticism would be appreciated!

Until Next time ; )
