Chapter 10: The Unexpected
3rd pov
Carlisle and the others pulled up to their house and it didn't take them long to unpack everything. Then they headed to their cousin's home where Edward is at. The door opened and Kate was on the other side of it. "Glade you guys made it. They are in the living room." Kate said and everyone followed Kate into the living room where, Carmen, Eleazar, Tanya, Irina and Laurent. Then Edward is sitting in a chair with his mate Nyla sitting on his lap.
Nyla's eyes looked over at her family. "Did everything go ok?" Nyla asked with a smile. Everyone Smiled at her as they sat down around her. "Good they really think that you were killed." Jasper said with a smile. "What about Bella?" Nyla asked and everyone looked at her. "They arrested her, and Charlie is trying to figure out how and why she did it. You made everyone think she really did it." Jasper said softly. "She can sit in jail for a few more weeks." Nyla said and that got everyone's attention. "What do you mean?" Carlisle said. "I just wanted her to suffer for a bit. I made it look like someone framed her and someone did. They will never know it was me, but I did leave a trail that someone did frame her. They should be finding it in about a week. Then they go on a wild goose chase and they will never find the person, but they will find out why they did it." Nyla said with a smile before she nuzzled into Edwards body.
All the vampires had their mouths open as they looked at this small sick girl who you think would never have an evil side. "Oh, my you are a clever one." Carmen said softly. Nyla smile softly at her. "No one messes with my family." Nyla said softly and Edward smile as he nuzzled Nyla.
They talked till it got dark and Edward stood up with Nyla. "I think I will take Nyla home, so I can feed her then get her reading for bed." Edward said and Nyla looked at her mate. "I'm not a child Edward I want to stay up." Nyla said and Edward looked at his mate. "Ok but I still need to feed you since you did eat all day." Edward said and Nyla made a cat sound and that made everyone chuckle as Edward picked her up.
Edward ran to the house with Nyla on his back. Since its so cold here Nyla loves being outside since her body temp is so high. It didn't take Edward long to get home and Nyla got off his back. "Go shower my love and I will start on dinner for you." Edward said before he kissed Nyla softly. "Ok my love." Nyla said when they pulled away from each other. Edward watch Nyla head up stairs before he zoomed to the kitchen and started on a nice heathy dinner for Nyla since she is still human.
Nyla took a nice warm shower, so she won't get sicker. Even though she has a high temp being in the cold will still get her sick. When she got out of the shower, Nyla dried off before she put her clothes on. She is going to wait till after dinner before she bushes her teeth. Then Nyla came bouncing down the stairs and headed for the kitchen. Today she was feeling extra good and she didn't know what to do with herself.
Sitting at the table Nyla watched Edward zoom around the kitchen and talked to her. By the time Edward finished the others walked into the kitchen just as Nyla took her first bite. "Nyla, I wanted to ask you when you want to be turned?" Carlisle asked her. Nyla swallowed her mouth full of sprouts. "I wanted to talk to you about that too. First is there any way for Edward to turn me?" Nyla asked softly. Edward looked at her with a softly smile. "We can take his venom and inject you with it, so Edward don't hurt you." Carlisle said. "Ok that is good enough for me." Nyla said because she knew that all of them besides Jasper and Alice was turned by Carlisle. She wanted her love to turn her.
"You ok with that my love?" Nyla asked Edward. "Yes, it is Nyla. What is the other thing you wanted to talk about?" Edward said because he noticed she is getting better how shielding him from her thoughts. "Will I have this buck list I want to do before I turn. You know stuff I want to try or do while I'm still human." Nyla said softly and everyone looked at her. Nyla is so different from Bella. All Bella wanted to do was become a vampire and not try a to live a life as a human before the turn.
Nyla saw the look in Edwards eyes and said fast. "I know there are going to be a few things I won't be able to do, but I don't mind." Nyla said but Edward knew that one of them she really wanted to do, so she could experience it. It will be a little different when she is turned. "You sure Nyla?" Edward said softly. If she really wanted to, he would let her find someone and let her do it. "Yes, I'm sure." Nyla said with a smile. "What are some of the things you want to try?" Carlisle asked. "Some of the things you might not like." Nyla said slowly.
The first thing that jumped to most of their minds is. She wants to kill someone. Nyla saw the look on their faces. "Its mostly teenager stuff. Like trying alcohol, smoking and stuff like that." Nyla said and they all smiled at her for being normal with this buck list. "You really want to try that stuff?" Emmett asked. Nyla blushed a little. "Yes, since I won't be about to try it when I turn and know how it really feels. I don't want to have any regrets before I'm a vampire." Nyla said and Rose smiled at her.
"I will help you with your list Nyla." Rose said and everyone turned to look at her. It's a little weird seeing Rose and Nyla, so close with each other. You would think they are best friends from a movie. Rosalie the stunning gorgeous popular girl and her badass punk goth best friend. To opposite best friends that is there for each other. "Thanks Rose." Nyla said with a smile. "If Rose is going to help you, so am I. If you want to drink, I know the best whiskey, scotch and brandy you need to try at lest once." Emmett said. He wishes he could still drink but to feel that sweet burn doing down.
"Thank you, you two." Nyla said as she kept on eating. Edward wondered what else is on her buck list. He will ask her when she goes and lays down for the night. Since they don't need heat the house don't really have a heater. So, they got a few small heaters and placed them around the house. One of them is in Nyla's room and bathroom.
After the dishes was washed Nyla went to brush her teeth then got into bed, where Edward was waiting for her. Nyla snuggled under the covers and then rested her head on Edwards chest. "If you don't mind me asked but what else is on your buck list." Edward asked as he turned off the lights. "What I want get a tattoo." Nyla said as she closes her eyes. Edward looked down at her with shock. "Really a tattoo? You know the venom will remove it when you are turned right?" Edward said.
Nyla let out a small sigh. "Yes, I know Edward. I just want to get one and take a few pictures to say I had a tattoo." Nyla said softly to Edward. "We will go into town at some point this week and you can get one." Edward said and Nyla squealed with delight before she jumped on top of Edward and kissed him. This took Edward by surprise, but he kissed his mate back. Nyla pressed her body against Edwards, and he moaned into their kiss.
Nyla pulled away and Edward could see the sad look in her eyes. "I'm sorry." Nyla said before she rolled off him. It took Edward a few minutes to understand why she apologized to him. Nyla made him moan and felt his dick move. Edward want to tell Nyla it was ok, but he was the one that told her that having sex wouldn't be a good idea. Edward wants to be the one that has sex with her while she is still human. The idea of another man in her pissed him off but he didn't want to hurt her.
"Edward you ok?" Nyla said because she can hear him growling. "I'm just a little mad at myself right now." Edward said to her. He didn't like to hide anything from Nyla. "What?" Nyla said as she slowly turned over to look at Edward. "I know the one thing you want most that is on your buck list and I really want you to have it. I just don't know if I can control myself without hurting you." Edward said knowing his family is listening to them. "I told you it was fine. I don't need to experience that right now I can wait till I am a vampire." Nyla said before she yawned. "Get some sleep and we will talk about this later Nyla." Edward said softly as he kissed the top of her head.
"But we can talk about it now." Nyla said fighting to keep her eyes open. Edward started to hum her song and she was out like a light. Once Edward knew for sure that Nyla was asleep, he slowly got out of bed and went downstairs. "Jasper, Emmett could I talk to you outside?" Edward asked softly and the two others looked at him before they nodded, and they left the house. It was a nice night out tonight.
Once they where far enough away Edward spoke. "Nyla really wants to have sex before she is turned." Edward said. The other two knew this, but they didn't say anything. "Are you ready to have sex?" Jasper asked him. "I am but I wanted to be married first and I don't know if I can control myself and not hurt her." Edward said. "Ask her to marry you, take her on a nice honeymoon. You can control your self Edward it might be hard the first time, but with each time you do have sex it becomes easier. You know when to slow down or not to go to fast. It just takes time." Jasper said to him.
"Jazz is right Edward. Just got to do it a lot to know what you need to know about her body and what she can take and what she can't take." Emmett said. Edward looked at him. Sometime Emmett is a kid in a big body and other times Emmett can be all grown up. "Do you really think I can do it?" Edward said. "Yes. Ask her to marry you. Alice has all the details planned out. So, it won't take long to put everything together. Then you be off on your honeymoon with your honey. Take it nice and slow and you will be great." Jasper said with a smile.
The three brothers chuckled a little before they headed back home. Alice smiled as she started to pull out her plans. They only thing she wanted to do was to make sure Nyla was ok with them and to see if she wanted to change anything. "What are you doing Alice?" Rose asked her sister. "Edward is going to ask Nyla to marry him, so I'm pulling out all the plans I did for them. After Nyla say's yes. We can go over the plans and see what she likes and what she wants to change." Alice said. "Do you need help?" Rose asked. Alice smiled and nodded her head.
The two of them took all the plans to Alice's and Jasper's room so they can get everything into place, so all Alice as to do is go down the line showing Nyla what is planned and the options is for changing it.
Nyla's pov
I woke up when I heard Edward calling my name. I sat up rubbing my eyes. "Its time to get up, Esme made you waffles. Then get ready I'm going to take you out for a date." Edward said with a smile. I looked over at him. "Ok, I'm up." I said in a sleepy tone. I got up and ready for the day. Then headed downstairs and into the kitchen. I ate my fill and then Edward took me to the back of the Cullen's territory where Edward has a small log cabin. For when he just wants to be on his own.
The part of the forest he picked out is exceptionally beautiful. "What did you have planned for this date?" I asked him. Edward smiled as he stopped a few yards from the cabin. I slide off his back and he took my hand. "I was thinking we have a movie date. We watch movies all day and just snuggle." Edward said with a smile. I smiled back as we walked towards the cabin. "I would love that Edward. I can't wait to just be in your arms." I said as he unlocked the door and let me walk in first.
The cabin is a good size its like a starter home for a couple. Edward showed me to his room, and I let him pick the first movie. It was an old black and white one. I don't mind them at all I really liked them. I took off my shoes and Edward did the same. We snuggled on the bed and watched the movie.
All day we watched movies and Edward had snacks here for me. I just finished my popcorn when the movie ended. It was late afternoon and Edward looked at me. "Nyla my love I want to ask you something." Edward said and I sat up. "Ok, Edward." I said with a smile. Then he put his hand into his pocket and took my hand. "Will you Nyla Faust be my wife?" Edward said and all I could do was stare at him in shock.
"Nyla?" Edward said with some worry. "Yes. I would love to be your wife Edward." I said before I kissed my future husband. I felt Edward slide a ring on my ring finger when we kissed. It was an old ring, but it looks like a family heirloom. "It was my mother's ring; I hope that is ok." Edward said softly. I looked at it then looked back at him. "Edward, I love it. I'm happy you kept it and gave it to me. It has so much meaning to you." I said and Edward smiled at me.
"When we get back Alice will want to talk to you, but that won't be till tomorrow. I just want to have you all to myself." Edward said and I smiled. I wasn't feeling good, but I kept it to myself. I didn't want Edward to worry about me. I've been up and down with my sickness. Some day's I feel great and normal, then the others I feel like shit and I want to die. But I can't let them see those days. Edward held me as we watched another movie and I rested my head on his cool chest trying to cool down a little, so I won't vomit.
