Habits
I can personally relate with this because I had a roommate that was absolutely horrible about leaving clothes all over the place. My fiancee uses his socks as projectiles for the cats and the dog, but that is the only real issue there. Also, reminder, Serenity is in her last year of high school and is going to finish up soon. Also, she is eighteen, almost nineteen.
Enjoy!
1 week later
Serenity leaves her home she shares with Tristan, almost tripping over one of his pairs of pants on the way out. Letting out an annoyed sigh, she continues out the door and to school. She just had a few more tests to take before the break and was more than a little pressured with school and her part-time, soon to be full-time job upping the ante.
"Hey Serenity!" One of her friends calls. Because of her previous illness, she used to take classes online, and continued with that because of a to help her mom out, but with a part-time modeling job that made sure she got time to do her school work, she was able to go to school for her last year and had adjusted quite well.
"Hey Naomi." Serenity calls back as she catches up with her friends.
"How's life?" Nani asks.
"It's ok." Serenity smiles. Her friends look at her oddly.
"Ok, what's up?" Her friend, Kiko, asks.
"It's just I don't know how to go about discussing with Tristan about him leaving his clothes everywhere. I don't want to nag, but it's just so frustrating." Serenity sighs.
"Just tell him that you don't like tripping over his clothes all the time." Nani says. Serenity nods in agreement.
That afternoon
Serenity walks home from school, tired but more than ready for the last tests before the winter break. Walking into the home she and Tristan share, she kicks the pair of pants out of the way and then waits for Tristan to get home, doing her homework as she waits. It's dark and snow is falling when Tristan gets home.
"Hey babe." Tristan says only to get a quiet look in response.
"Ok, what did I do?" Tristan asks.
"Actually, it's what you don't do. Tristan, please pick up your clothes. It looks like the laundromat exploded." Serenity says calmly. Tristan looks around the living room and blushes slightly at the menagerie of clothes all over the place.
"Ok, I see your point there. I'll take care of it now while you do your homework." Tristan says.
"But will you remember tomorrow?" Serenity asks.
"I'll do the best I can." Tristan says.
"Promise?" Serenity asks.
"I promise. Now, it'll take some time, but I'll honestly work on it." Tristan says. Serenity smiles at him as he picks up his clothes.
The next day
Walking into his home, Tristan starts to take off his dirty work shirt before he hears a small noise from the doorway to the kitchen. Serenity is giving him a look as he almost drops the article on the floor, but he slings it over his shoulder and goes to their room, where he changes, placing all his clothes in the hamper. Walking back into the living room, Serenity smiles at him.
"Maybe I won't have to make a sound next time to remind you." Serenity smirks.
"It'll take time but I'll get there." Tristan chuckles.
1 week later
Tristan was keeping his word about working on the cleaning up his clothes. If he left something around it somehow always managed to trip him later.
"How in the hell did you not die on anything? I guess I was just so used to it that it never bothered me but now it's just annoying as hell to trip on a damn sock." Tristan says earning a laugh from Serenity. They both flop onto the couch, taking in the fact that they both had the day off.
"I was very careful dear." Serenity giggles.
"Clearly modeling has helped you in avoiding tripping to death on a sock." Tristan chuckles.
"I wear five inch heels every day dear. Balance and coordination are key." Serenity teases. Tristan rolls his eyes at her.
"You're doing much better, better than I expected at this point." Serenity smiles.
"Thanks babe. That helps." Tristan says as he fully relaxes into the couch.
"Well, I figure since I brought it up, I should encourage you to keep it up until I don't need to remind you. It's how I've been for your motorcycle business, your guy time, and how I help you when you've had a long day working for Kaiba. I know you need encouragement and understanding in order to keep going. You support me in my endeavors, so the least I could do is support you." Serenity says sweetly. Tristan looks at her for a moment, silence taking over the whole room before a small smile spreads on his face. Before she even knows what's going on, Tristan locks Serenity in a sweet and passionate kiss. Melting into his, Serenity wraps her arms around his neck and holds him closer to her. All too soon though, they break the kiss for air and Tristan kisses Serenity's forehead with a smile.
"How did I even get this lucky to deserve a woman like you?" Tristan muses.
"You treat me right." Serenity smiles.
"And I will continue to do so." Tristan says, kissing serenity on her forehead again.
Short I know, but this was a minor issue in comparison.
