He did yeah, we will be making the distinctions this chapter about what makes their Quirks similar but with key differences. Haha, seems that Rappa is yeah, he worked out what Keita was trying to hide. Keita did yeah, and now the raid's begun~

Vendicor; Aah, thank you very much! Yeah, Izuku and Keita will form a nice bond with one another~ And thanks! Yeah, I wanted him to have realistic reasons for staying, he just doesn't want anyone else to suffer because of what could happen if they try to help him, but as soon, he knew he needed the help, and it was an internal struggle within him. Yup, Himiko and Mirko are with him in the harem, they'll be pretty fun~ He will get the intense battle with Kai later down in the story, it's going to be quite epic when it happens~

Silver crow; Thanks very much! I considered that, but this way it makes it more important for Keita and his growth as a character. It seems that he is a pretty good cook huh~? Haha, Rappa set Chrono straight and even Keita defended himself from Chrono both verbally, and later physically. He can tell that there isn't any honour in them, having grown up with the Yakuza. The Boss' true feelings will be shown this chapter. Yeah, Keita's always gonna be there for Eri now~ Rappa is a good influence on him, helping him learn more about being selfish. He would be alright with just them escaping yeah~ Yeah, he doesn't know the true capabilities of his Quirk, that Kai has found out about them anyway. He did yeah, seems that Keita knows more about fighting than even Kai realizes. Maybe there wont be, maybe he'll have some, he does have some of Eri's blood at least. That would have been overkill haha~ Mirio will do something important this chapter, we'll see what that is~ Yeah, that will be explained this chapter, and that's Mirko for you~ He wouldn't do that right now, Keita's got more things to worry about, but maybe a scene like that could be good. We surely are~ Karasuba's very determined yeah~ I could see the Oc and Haihane having fun interactions with one another. True, that's Karasuba for you. I have plans for that if that story wins, and he wont be listening to Higa's orders regardless. He probably wouldn't go that far to deny them leave, he'd probably warn them of the dangers of it. Yeah, he'd be strong with those members. Yume could say that~ Yeah, maybe they could be. If she's winged at all that is. Depending on who it is, he wouldn't be able to own a large building for a good while. Depends when Chiho shows up. Yashima, she could be with someone else. Depending on who he is, he could or couldn't. Musubi is probably going to be with Minato.

Necrocito; Yeah, when it was good, it was really good, but there were times, like you pointed out, that didn't make any sense to me either. Some of the plot didn't flow right, some stuff was outright forgotten or brushed aside as if it didn't matter. But still, for what it was, I do like that show. Yeah, it would be cool if the series did combine and make something interesting!

Well, with those lovely reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter!
The Rescue!
Running through the facility, Keita was determined to get towards the Boss. To make sure that he would be safe and sound. He also knew that Rappa probably was going to want to fight as well, he wondered if he'd be able to get out of there.
He also hoped that Eri and Himiko were safe. He trusted in Himiko, he knew that she had good skills, and that she'd be able to keep other people away from Eri, while he just had to make sure that Kai was stopped.
Getting towards the area that the Boss should be in, he stormed in to see that Kai had the Boss close to him. His hand inches from his face, Keita let out his voice.
"Big brother, stop!"
Kai turned his eyes towards Keita in surprise.
"Why aren't you with Chronostasis?"
He demanded.
Keita made his thoughts known to his elder brother.
"Because I knew you'd come here...He hasn't done anything wrong."
"He called the Hero's Keita."
Keita looked towards the Boss, seeing that he was actually going along with it.
He probably figured out that Keita had called the Hero's, and was now protecting him.
"No, it was-"
"Yes, I did call the Hero's, Kai."
Kai's menacing eyes went towards the Boss.
"Why would you do that? Taking down the Yakuza as well? This was your dream. We were achieving what you worked hard to get. Now, you're going to throw it all away?"
The Boss kept a composed face, wanting to protect Keita as much as he could.
"Kai, can't you see what you've been doing? I didn't raise you like this. While I always appreciated your loyalty to the Yakuza, I can't ignore it anymore. There's real darkness in you. You're saying things about hurting a little girl."
"It's necessary, I've told you many times that it is."
"No, its not necessary, hurting a child is never necessary. What if someone did that to..." The Boss' eyes went towards Keita, and saw that he looked worried between them. "...your brother, you've caused worry to be inside of him. Didn't you always say that you wanted to protect him?"
Kai scowled.
"I am protecting him. He, unlike you, understands its necessary to make sacrifices."
"What do you..." The Boss looked at Keita once more, coming to a realization. "...you didn't."
"Sir, don't misunderstand. I love Keita-"
"Did you Overhaul him?"
"That's not-"
"I asked you a question!" The Boss snapped at Kai. "Did you Overhaul him?!"
"Even if I did, it was necessary for the future of this organization. His power, is capable of making or breaking this world. I didn't get any kind of pleasure out of doing it. I hated it in fact."
"The fact that you did it in the first place makes you a monster Kai!" The Boss pulled away, placing a hand over his mouth. "...You're disgusting. Doing this...to your own brother...I don't know who you are..." The Boss hatefully spat out, moving towards Keita. "Keita my boy...why didn't you tell me?"
Keita's eyes locked with his own.
"...Sir I..."
The Boss was angry.
He turned his eyes towards Kai, and punched him in the face, surprising the brothers.
Knocking Kai down to the ground, Keita then felt the Boss wrap his arms around him, in a comforting manner, placing his hand to the back of Keita's head, and gently stroked his head.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry Keita...I failed you in the end..."
"Sir, no...you didn't fail me..."
"I did fail you Keita. I failed to protect you from Kai. But I wont this time..." He gave Keita a letter, and pushed him to the door. "Go, my boy. Get out of here."
Keita couldn't believe what he was saying.
Leaving him with Kai is a death sentence.
"B-But, Sir. I can't leave you. He's too strong, you don't stand a chance to beat him! But maybe...Maybe I could use my power to make sure you get away..."
"I can't fight him...I know that. But, I can stall him...for you. Go Keita. Protect Eri, everything you need is in that letter...I always had a feeling you'd need to get out of here one day...so, run my boy, don't look back. And although I failed you...I always loved you like a son, Keita."
Keita began tearing up at his words.
"Sir..."
"Go! Run Keita!"
Keita hated it.
He didn't want to leave the Boss behind.
"Sir, I can't leave you to die..."
Understanding what Keita was feeling, the Boss shoved Keita out of the door, and gave a final "Get out of here, one final order from me boy." before shutting the door.
Keita tightening his hands, yelling "Thank you for everything!" and ran away, knowing that this is what the Boss wanted, completing the final order from him.
Kai tried to move forward, but was stopped by the Boss.
"Move, now."
"I can't Kai...I couldn't protect him before...but now, I'll protect him. Even if it's only a little bit..."
Kai put on a solemn expression.
"Then, I'm sorry. You truly were like a Father to me. But now...I'll wake you up once this is over with."
Kai's hand neared the Boss, who accepted it. He knew he couldn't take Kai, but if he could stop him for a few seconds...those precious seconds...
Keita meanwhile was running through the facility as fast as he could.
Clutching the letter in his hand, he knew that he'd have to honour his wishes, his last wishes, so he put the letter away so it didn't get damaged.
Moving through the underground almost like a labyrinth, Keita's movements were stopped when he saw that Chronostasis was before him.
Keita's hand went towards the ground, but Chronostasis stopped him with a single wave of his gun, stopping him from moving.
"...How did you get out of the ground?"
Keita stared on with an annoyed face, wondering what he was going to do against this man.
"...Don't make any sudden movements boy." Chronostasis threw some handcuffs to Keita. "Pick them up and put them on...but, if I see a finger go towards the ground, then you're going to be shot. Do you understand?"
Keita wasn't sure what to do.
Seeing the gun, he thought about taking it down.
But he wasn't sure what this power was...how Chronostasis escaped his ground prison.
But as he was thinking, a flurry of fists suddenly pounded Chronostasis from behind, slamming his head down and smashed heavily into the ground, knocking him out.
Keita looked to the attacker, seeing that it was Rappa.
"Rappa-san..."
Keita couldn't express with words how beyond happy he was to see that Rappa was alive.
"I got worried about you. What's going on?"
Seeing the tears in Keita's eyes, it was clear something had happened.
"Rappa-san...the Boss...big brother has...he's...he stayed...behind, to protect me...he stayed there, and now he's..."
"...I see. Come kid, it's time to get you out of here."
Keita shook his head.
"No, I need you to do me a favour."
"What?"
"Himiko-san, Eri-chan. I need you to get them out of here."
Rappa didn't really get why Keita was speaking as if he wasn't going to be leaving when that was the plan all along.
"Yeah, with you I'll-"
"No...someone needs to slow down big brother."
"If you stay here kid, that bastard will-"
"I know what you're going to say. I know that he might...but even then, I can talk to him long enough for you to get those two away...the Hero's are coming...I know that they are. Rappa-san, please make sure they get out of here."
Rappa didn't want to leave Keita behind.
Of course he didn't.
But he couldn't deny a request from him either.
"...Damn it kid...I can't just leave you...but, you're asking me to do this...alright, just be safe!"
"Yes...I will."
Keita turned towards Kai as Rappa disappeared.
Seeing him coming closer and closer, he knew that he'd have to distract Kai somehow.
As Kai made it into view, Keita steeled his will.
"Keita! Come here!"
"Big brother, stop. Just stop right there."
Kai paused when Keita said it with a serious tone.
"Now is not the time for a conversation. The Hero's will be here any moment, we need to go."
"Now is the perfect time to tell me what's happened to the Boss!"
Kai placed a hand on top of the other.
"He was threatening to take you away Keita. He's been dealt with."
"...Did you kill him?"
Keita feared the worst.
But thankfully, Kai denied his thoughts.
"No, I didn't kill him. He's in a coma. Once we've accomplished our goals, he'll be brought back. Even though he betrayed us, I still care about him very much so I had him taken away."
Keita truly didn't know if Kai did care about him at this point.
"Taken away…? But how?"
"Come with me, and we'll disappear from this place."
Keita didn't get how they'd do that.
The Hero's must have the building surrounded.
But for Kai, he seemed to have some kind of idea on how they'd be able to escape.
"I knew that this could happen the first time Sir Nighteye came into contact with you. So I decided to make a guarantee for us to leave. Don't worry Keita, I'll always protect you."
"...But, you're not protecting me are you? Doing that to the Boss...you put him into a coma! The man who took us in!"
"I did it, to protect us Keita. He called the Hero's. They'll take you away from me. Is that what you want?" Keita didn't say anything, Kai seeing a surprising defiant look on his face. "...You do, don't you?"
"Right now...all I can think about is what you did to the Boss..."
Kai furrowed his eyebrows, a seemingly calm expression despite Keita's own being the exact opposite.
"My intentions are to make this world clean again Keita, to make it so we can have better lives. So we can make a world where we can finally live together in peace. All of these people, All Might, All For One, everyone in this world is against us. Even the Boss in the end was against us. But with you Keita...me and you, we can make this world better. Come with me Keita, I'll make this world better, with you by my side. This world will become clean."
"Clean...this world isn't perfect, but it also has good things in it...the Boss was one of them. He was a Yakuza sure...but, he was an honourable and loving man! You're speaking as if this is normal! What happened to it just being us big brother?!"
Keita's words caused a feeling to run through Kai.
For a few moments, he hesitated.
For a few seconds, he questioned what he had been doing.
The passionate way that Keita was speaking, took a hold of his heart.
"We'll start over. If we stay together, there's nothing that we can't do. We can make the Shie Hassaikai great again. I promise, I'll bring the Boss back once this is over with, once we've begun realizing a better world. Just believe in me. I need you by my side."
Keita shook his head again and again.
Those sweet words meant nothing to Keita.
Because he knew that they were lies.
"Tell me...what have you been doing with my blood?"
"That's not important-"
"Tell me!"
Keita snapped at him, surprising the likes of Kai who hadn't thought Keita would ever yell at him like that.
"As I said, it's not important."
"Yes it is...tell me. Chronostasis...he said I was a tool...you said I have power...what is this power big brother? Tell me...what have you been doing with my blood?"
"It doesn't matter Keita. Come with me, now."
Keita couldn't lose his resolve, he wouldn't allow himself to break from Kai's killing intent.
"I can't big brother...I can't come with you. The Boss...he told me to protect Eri-chan...and that's what I'm going to do."
An impatient look passed through Kai's eyes, stretching out his hand.
"Come with me Keita-"
"The kid said no asshole!"
Mirko appeared above Kai with a wild grin, swinging down her foot towards him. Her speed was great, he almost was taken by the attack, but he managed to avoid it at the last second, but the ground gained a number of large cracks in it, and it began shaking from the impact.
Keita, feeling the shaking of it, almost fell over…
But he felt a hand push him forward, turning he saw who it was.
"...Who are you?"
"Hey there, my name is Mirio Togata! Pleasure to meet you Keita-san!"
"E-Eh...Togata-san...are you a Hero too?"
"Hero in training, but yes~ I'm here to help you. We're leaving now."
Keita looked to Kai, who was recovering from the after shock of Mirko's foot.
He then turned to Mirio who offered a reassuring smile.
"...I can't, not yet. Not until-"
"Don't worry, All Might, and Sir Nighteye will be here soon." He picked up Keita's body and hauled him over his shoulder to his shock. "Sorry about this, hold on tight."
"H-Hey wait!"
Keita called, but Mirio began running away with Keita.
Kai though wouldn't stand for it, and yelled "GET OFF MY BROTHER!" slamming his hand down onto the ground, Keita turning back to see the ground forming spikes around them. Mirio though used incredible strength to lift Keita up with a single hand, and used his Quirk as the spikes reformed around him.
"D-Damn, he's so fast..."
Mirio complained, as Keita noticed that despite Mirio managing to use his Quirk to go through a number of the spikes, one had cut deeply into his right hand side, causing him to wince at the feeling.
"Alright then Chisaki, I've wanted to beat you down for a while now!"
Mirko at the same time had shot off towards Kai and went to kick him in the face, but he formed a wall of the earth.
"Damn rabbit."
Kai growled out, glancing at Chronostasis, seeing that he was still unconscious.
She smirked, announcing "Not enough for me!" and used her incredible leg strength to break through the ground, swinging her leg for his face.
Kai raised a hand to grab her, but Keita yelled "Mirko-san, don't let him touch you!" causing Mirko to pull her leg back, avoiding Kai grabbing her, but his hand continued for the wall, touching it, and caused spikes to erupt out of it to pierce her.
She used her legs to propel her to the right hand side, avoiding the spikes all together.
Mirio, in the middle of the spikes wondered how he was going to get Keita down without hurting him, but Keita glanced down and said "I can move the spikes. But I can't reach them from this position." so Mirio bent his hand, turning Keita around as much as he could, allowing the boy to touch the ground nearby Mirio's face, which allowed him to activate his Quirk, twisting the earth away from the pair.
Mirio breathed a sigh of relief, allowing him to catch Keita in his arms.
"Phew, that was a close one huh little buddy?"
"Little buddy?"
Mirio gave a sheepish look as Keita questioned him.
"Ehehe...yeah~"
Keita gave a curious look, and saw the wound on Mirio's side bleeding, so he jumped out of his arms, and placed his hand on Mirio's side. His hand began to be drenched in blood, so he used his Quirk on Mirio's side.
"It seems like a deep wound...but, I should be able to fix this..."
"We need to go-"
"If you keep moving with this deep wound, you could bleed to death. Everyone's here for me...the least I can do is this."
Mirio knew they should go, but he seemed determined, so he agreed.
Mirko tightened her hand, and showed a readiness to fight.
"This is gonna be fun Chisaki. Ready to have your ass handed to you by me?"
"Hmph, by some rabbit? Try me."
Mirio and Keita watched from the side as the fight between Mirko and Kai began.
Meanwhile, Sir Nighteye and All Might were being bombarded by the tear gas, their eyes felt as if they were nearly on fire. The walls and the ceiling were also attacking them, but All Might's physical strength was more than enough to break through them.
Though his eyes kept stinging so hard that he couldn't even keep them open for long, and it was only getting worse.
"This gas, if it keeps going, we wont be able to keep our eyes open at all..."
"Then, I'll get rid of it!"
All Might said with a strong face, swinging his arms out, and caused the air to push away the tear like gas. Sending it in all directions, Sir Nighteye heard a "Aah damn it." coming from the back.
But when he looked, he couldn't see anyone there.
"Come out coward!"
All Might announced, tempted to just clear the room with a single punch.
But he knew he couldn't do that right away.
But then the gas continued pouring into the room.
"Damn..."
All Might sighed, as some people with gas masks came into the room, the wall opening and then shutting.
To All Might though, they weren't a bother, and he speed blitzed them. Using his famous strength, he could knock them out within moments. But he could feel his eyes stinging more and more, and he used his strength to also create wind pressure to blow away the gas as more came out.
Once more, Sir Nighteye heard a grown from that.
"...The person that's releasing the gas...could it be the same person that's controlling the area? But, how is it possible that he has seemingly two unrelated Quirks? Or, maybe it isn't a Quirk...but, if it wasn't, then how is the gas being released from everywhere...but more than that, the fact that he's groaning, whoever it is, must have to be able to be in this location to be bothered by us. I suppose he'd have to reveal himself to see us perhaps...but, we can't see him...how can we get around this…? I wish that we could just have All Might shatter this room...it would be the simplest solution. But we can't be a hundred percent sure that if we do that, something happens to Keita-san or those girls..."
Sir Nighteye thought about it as All Might dealt with the last person sent towards them.
But then more gas began to be released into the room.
"It's endless...this confined space, it's hard for us to even see much less anything else."
All Might complained as Sir Nighteye thought about what had happened.
Each time an attack had happened, each time a wall had moved, or rose, or came out to attack them.
But also, how he'd stay clear of other walls as well.
If Keita was behind them, then it would make sense to not draw attention to them.
Even if he isn't, there was a reason why he was keeping clear of those walls.
A wall in particular.
It was clear that the Villain had unexpectedly exposed a weakness of his.
"All Might, I know what we can do now! The gas might seem like it's coming from everywhere, but it's really coming from the back wall, on the left hand side! Every time you move the gas back, I can see it takes the longest to reach the back wall, and for a groan to appear!"
All Might smirked.
"Is that so? Then I can do this!"
All Might tightened his hand, and punched forward, releasing a good sized air wave, shattering the wall while leaving the others in tact.
As he did, a man came shooting out of the wall with a cry.
The man bounced on the ground, and coughed up some bile.
"Well done Sir Nighteye! As always, the brains behind the operation!"
"I'd always support you All Might, no matter what ever happens between us."
All Might was caught off guard with his words.
He rubbed his stinging eyes, looking towards the Villain who was attempting to make an escape.
"I don't think so!"
All Might rushed forward to grab the man, when he announced "Get him!" with the floor opening up, and unleashed a number of Villains. All Might clicked his tongue, and did a single wave of his arm, cutting through the air, and shot off air pressure at the same time, breaking through all of them.
But as he did, Sir Nighteye launched his projectile at the man, hitting him in the air, and knocked him down into the ground.
Sir Nighteye breathed a sigh of relief, as All Might went towards him, tying him up and put him with the others, with Sir Nighteye quickly sending a message to the Hero's outside, and at the same time, received a message from Mirio.
"Good, lets get going. It seems that Mirio and Mirko-san have located Keita-san. I've called the Hero's, they'll be here in a minute to collect these people."
"Good idea Sir Nighteye! Lets go!"
Together, the pair shot off together.
However, with them disappearing, Shin came out of the shadows, and grabbed Mimic.
"Overhaul-sama...I'll save the worthy, the ones that are of most use. Don't worry, I'll get them out of there."
His smile was hid by his mask, and then took Mimic away before the Hero's could come.
While that was going on, Himiko and Eri were sat within Keita's room, waiting for the boy himself to come back. Keita hadn't come back yet, and Himiko wasn't sure what she was supposed to do. If she should go and fight, or if she should wait there, and make sure that Eri was safe.
"Kei-chan..."
"Aah, don't worry sweetheart, it's going to be alright."
Himiko soothed, with Eri clutching her hands tightly.
"But Kei-chan is...out there...and there's also fights...I can hear them...people are fighting..."
"I know, but the Hero's are here now. They'll make sure that we're safe."
As she said it, the door violently opened. Peering through it, where some of Kai's minions.
Himiko scowled as Eri curled up towards Himiko. She stood up, and said "Close your eyes sweetie." which Eri did as Himiko went forward.
"So, what are you goons doing here?"
"Don't call us goons! We're here to get you out under the orders of Shin-sama!"
"Shin...sama? He's important enough to have sama in his name?"
"Don't be smart with us! Just come with us now!"
Himiko gave a scary smile, withdrawing a knife, and aimed it towards them.
"Don't think so~"
"Come now!"
One of the members produced a ball from his palm, and shot it for Himiko. Himiko twirled backwards, seeing the sphere hitting the wall, seeing that it was metal, and it cracked the wall, so she simply rushed forward.
Seeing another ball coming for her, she ducked and slid on the ground, allowing the ball to go overhead. But as she got in close, one of the other members produced a net from his body, Himiko twirled her knife, and cleaved through the net easily, as the third member of the ground reached for her body with his hand increasing in strength.
She pulled back, knocking the net user in the path of the hand strength user, then she flipped backwards as a few spheres came for her body, expertly dodging out of the way of all of them, before landing on the ground casually.
"Nahaha, is that it?"
Himiko smirked as the others growled, and went to rush forward, when Rappa came shooting through the door, knocking each and everyone of the people out, with his incredible strength.
Himiko sighed in relief, and went towards Eri, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"It's over now sweetie, time to go. Big brother Rappa-chan is here." Rappa scowled at the young woman as she picked up Eri. "Where's Kei-chan?"
"He's coming, he told me to get you guys out of here."
"Right, then we'll go."
"Not worried about your 'boyfriend' crazy?"
Himiko stuck out her tongue.
"Not my Kei-chan, he'll be fine~ But like, what are you going to do?"
"That's a question I've been asking myself. But I know what I have to do. I'll be staying until I managed to defeat Kai Chisaki. If he escapes that is. And even if he doesn't escape, I'll still be going back to my lifestyle."
"I see, then I'll tell Kei-chan you said goodbye." Himiko began running for the door with Eri. "Goodbye Rappa-chan, have a good life~"
With that, Himiko took off with Eri. Rappa gave a slight bemused smile before walking off.
Running down the corridors, she ran as fast as she could, making sure that Eri was alright.
She ran for about two or three minutes, before she came across Sir Nighteye and All Might heading towards them.
"Holy crap, if I was a Villain right now, I'd totally be slaughtered by muscles and pencil there." She murmured to herself, then raised her voice. "Mus...erm, All Might! Over here!"
"Aah, you must be the two girls that are with Young Keita!"
"Yup! But, enough about that, Kei-chan might need help! Go and help him!"
Sir Nighteye nodded.
"That's what we intend to do, but first. All Might, will you rush these girls out? In case something was to happen."
"Yes! Leave it to me! I'll get them out of here!"
All Might picked up the girls, and dashed them out of the underground area.
Once he returned, they went together to go and save Keita.
Back with Mirko and the others. Kai was readying himself to fight, Keita was mixing Mirio's deep wound, while Mirko was thrusting her arms outwards, readying herself to fight and destroy the man before her.
"Rabbit, time to die."
Kai tapped the ground, and within a few seconds, the ground erupted around Mirko.
But Keita was amazed to see that Mirko was dodging and moving her body through the waves of spikes and walls that were being formed.
"Wow...she's amazing..."
"Yes, she's very strong."
Mirio murmured, as Mirko took a stance on the ground, bringing up her leg, and swung it down as she called "Luna Arc!" and brought the leg down, breaking through the various earth based creations from Kai's power, grabbing one of the stone fragments she had kicked off, and launched it for Kai's face.
Kai dodges out of the way, only to see that Mirko had forced him towards the right, her leg already going for his face, behind him wasn't any kind of wall, and he couldn't reach the ground in time, her speed was fantastic and scary for Kai to even think about.
"Now, you're gonna pick on someone that can fight back! How did it feel huh?!"
"You clearly underestimate me rabbit!"
Mirko's leg nearly hit Kai's body, when he managed to raise his finger towards her leg. Inches apart from each other's connecting attacks, Mirko knew that if she was a second late, then Kai would obliterate her out of existence.
She couldn't take that chance since she still had someone to save, so she forced herself to jump away from him, flipping in the air, and bounced off a wall, only to see that seconds later, the area she had bounced to was erupting with spikes.
The spikes neared her foot, but thankfully, she flipped in the air, bringing her leg out, and kicked the spike from below, breaking it away from her, as she carried on the momentum, slamming her foot deeply into the ground, generating a large shock wave that shot for Kai himself.
Kai grimaced, seeing the situation at hand, so he touched the ground, and caused it to open up. Breaking it all away, the ground became a pit, where Mirko lost her footing, due to dodging out of the way from a pillar that Kai had sent off, and began falling down into the ground.
"Mirko-san!"
Keita called, placing his hand on the wall, and used it to create a small holding for her to grab.
But by doing that, Keita and Mirio lost balance due to Kai's breaking of the ground, fell head first into the hole.
"I've got you!"
Mirio said, grabbing the boy, and placed him forward, so Mirio would fall onto his back, rather than Keita.
"Keita no!"
Kai genuinely called with real emotion, jumping in after his brother, something Mirio noticed as they fell.
"Togata-san..."
"Don't worry, I'll be fine!"
Mirko, seeing the pair falling, pushed off the wall, and grabbed both of them, as they plummeted deeper into the earth.
Keita met eyes with Mirko who showed a smirk on her face, a smirk that displayed her confidence.
"Be prepared for the landing boys!"
Keita grimaced as Mirko spun around, landing on the ground several stories below from where they fell.
Kai also had managed to make his way down the hole, with Mirko noticing the open wide arena of sorts. All of the ground was smooth, there were no windows, no doors, no escape essentially. Keita noticed that Kai had also brought Chronostasis with him as well. He wondered if Kai had managed to heal him and wake him up.
Kai exhaled slowly, turning towards Keita.
"Keita, are you alright?"
"Don't pretend you care about him!"
Mirko snapped, but Kai growled.
"Of course I care, that's my little brother!"
Seeing the emotion of Kai, it was quite unexpected for most present since they saw him as a cold and horrible person.
"If you were a true elder brother who loved his little brother, you'd not lay a finger on him! But we know what you've been doing to this kid! The endless years of torture you've given him! Knowing that he had no one else, you destroyed his trust in you, and killed him! He's an innocent boy, and you murdered him just for your own selfishness!"
Mirko's words stirred anger within Kai.
It was clear on his face that he was angry at the woman.
"You shut your mouth now! You have no idea the lengths I'd go for Keita! What I'd do for him!"
"...Or what you'd do to him."
Mirio murmured with sadness, Kai scoffed.
"School boy, what are you even here for? Shouldn't you be in class learning how to be a Hero? Though, you also have it, that delusion of being a Hero. Hero Syndrome."
"I'd rather have that, than what you've got. You're a complete psychopath. This boy...is not going to be hurt by you again. All of the torture you've put him through, ends today. Everything you've done to him...I hope you truly understand what you've done. This boy...gave up his own happiness just to stop you! He doesn't have to give up anything anymore, because you're going to jail, and he'll be looked after, and loved! Loved like you never could!"
Keita looked towards Mirio, and saw that he was crying.
But, he also had a strong conviction.
Keita didn't get it.
Mirio seemed to care about Keita, despite this being the first time they had actually met.
Kai angrily looked towards Mirko and then Mirio.
"Alright then, it's time for a boost."
"Boost?"
Mirio murmured as Mirko yelled "No you wont!" but Kai caused the ground to erupt into many different shapes. Causing them to become walls, and spikes, opening up holes, all to keep Mirko at bay for a few moments.
Mirko though jumped up and pushed off the ceiling with her incredible leg strength, shooting down like a star for Kai.
Kai in the meantime took a syringe, and placed it to his neck, injecting a reddish liquid into his body.
As soon as he did, his eyes widened, as if he had just been hit by a surge of electricity.
His hand touched a nearby wall he formed as Mirko got close, and thrusted her leg forward, fully expecting to crumble it and hit Kai.
But she was astonished as when she hit it...the wall stayed in tact, only displaying a crack.
"What in the..."
Mirko didn't have time to think as the spikes erupted out of the wall, one digging into the left hand side of her right leg, cutting deeply, causing her to jump back, and stomp heavily on the ground, hoping to crumble it with a shock wave.
But when she touched the ground with her foot, she saw that the ground barely had a crack in it, and that the spikes were coming out of the ground at a fast pace.
"What's wrong rabbit? Can't you break the earth now?"
Mirko flipped backwards, and saw something strange happening.
Rather than the spikes being formed again, she saw that they followed her, twisting and bending.
Keita's eyes broadened in horror as Mirko's leg was impaled. But by some miracle, it wasn't completely cut off due to her speed, pushing off the spike, and made a good distance between them, allowing Mirko to have a breather.
"What's going on? That's not what he was doing before..."
"No...it isn't."
Keita thought, believing he was beginning to understand.
Mirko though didn't back down, just because she was injured, and lunged forward.
Kai began to chortle.
"You are persistent, but you can't beat my power now."
"I don't even care what shit you're talking about, I don't go down that easily bastard!"
Mirko, using her amazing agility, weaved her way through a barrage of spikes that Kai had sent up, but saw some of them bending back towards her, shooting in different ways.
Keita, unable to take it, placed his hand on the ground, and channeled his power into said ground, allowing the ground near Mirko to become a platform, allowing her to shoot up into the air, something that Mirko smirked at.
Shooting off high into the air, Kai's eyes went towards Keita, but Mirio stood between them.
"Don't you dare Kai Chisaki."
"Don't say my name again!"
With that moment of distraction, Mirko managed to shoot down towards Kai, swinging her entire body in a spinning motion, moving forward. Building up more and more momentum, the speed of her body was pretty fast, something that Kai scoffed at, merely sending out some of his spikes to go and deal with her.
But Mirko was smarter than that.
She used the spinning momentum to launch a piece of the ground she had grabbed before towards Kai's body. The speed of it was so fast that Kai's upper body was slammed by it, sending him to his knees while Mirko managed to get in close, landing on the ground before him.
"You think a little pain is going to stop me!?"
She announced, bringing up her leg to slam it deeply into his upper body, and he couldn't fight against it.
She managed to actually hit his upper body, drawing blood from him, as he was sent hurdling through the air, smashing into the opposing wall at the far end.
"Even if you can control the ground, you're still human. Well, your body is anyway, I don't know about the rest of..." She was stopped when she saw that Kai's hand was touching the ground. "Shit-"
She barely had time to react as the ground was reshaped under her. Coming up, and forming an array of spikes. She was faster, and could dodge them all, but when they bent, some dug through her skin, and into her torso, but she avoided a fatal injury.
"Mirko-san!"
Keita called, not wanting anyone to die for him.
Mirko got out of the earth trap, spinning and returned to the ground.
"This is nothing kid, don't worry."
"But Mirko-san..."
Keita saw that she hadn't even stopped, going for Kai in a fast jumping move. Keita saw that Kai was fixing his injuries that Mirko had given him, getting back to his feet, and tapped the wall, sending off a number of spikes for Mirko herself.
Using her incredible legs, she jumped and weaved her way through the array of spikes. Even with them bending, she managed to avoid being cut this time, but she could see that she was bleeding quite worryingly, she didn't seem to care though.
However, when she got towards Kai, she went to deliver a kick against him, when he formed a wall before him.
"As you've seen, you can't get through my power now."
Mirko scoffed.
"Just need to put more into it then, don't I?"
Mirko pushed her leg even more, swinging it out like an axe, she forced it against the wall, seeing that the pressure of the attack was enough to crack it heavily.
Kai was mildly surprised as he saw the foot slamming against it again and again, each time she broke through it more and more, until it eventually shattered, lunging forward with a wild expression on her face, grabbing Kai by the face.
"Now you little bastard, it's time to feel the pain."
"Don't push me!"
Kai went to move his hands to grab her, but she tossed him up into the air, following him.
"You need to touch things, right? To use your Quirk! So, when you're in the air, you've got nothing to touch!"
Mirko went to pummel Kai, when Kai took out what seemed to be a gun.
An ordinary gun, but at such close range, Mirko's head was on the line of sight, and she couldn't move out of the way in time.
"Always compensate for when your weakness is exposed."
Keita gasped when Kai went to pull the trigger.
He thought that Mirko was going to be shot.
"No big brother don't!"
Kai ignored Keita's request, and his finger went to pull the trigger…
When a weighted seal was launched, hitting Kai's hand, knocking the gun out of it.
Kai angrily looked to see that Sir Nighteye had arrived together with All Might.
Kai and Mirko landed on the ground.
"Mirko! Thank you for your work! But you're injured, please leave the rest to-"
"Yeah right, as if. This is my fight, I'll be-" All Might shot for Mirko, grabbing her, and placed her next to Keita and Mirio. "Oi! Don't get involved! I was about to open his skull with my foot!"
All Might gave her a curious look as Sir Nighteye also appeared beside Keita, and Mirio. Keita's eyes overlooked the Hero, and saw his joy at the sight of Mirio and Keita being alive and well.
"Are you alright?"
"Eri-chan, and Himiko-san, are they..."
"They're fine. They're outside, being guarded by the Hero's."
Keita was relieved, while Kai's eyes shot between them.
"Get out of my way...get away from my brother!"
Kai demanded from the Hero's, but All Might stepped forward.
"Not a chance."
"All Might, are you going to be fighting me now? I don't care if its rabbit girl, or you! Nothing can stop me!"
"For all you've done with your brother, you wont be able to get away with it! You can't escape me!" All Might went to move, when Keita stepped forward instead. "Young Keita..."
"Big brother...what you did then...what happened with Mirko-san..."
"Have you figured it out little brother? I told you, your power is amazing."
"But how did you...that was..."
"Keita, don't worry about that. Now, come back to me. It's time for us to leave."
Kai spoke softly, but Keita needed answers.
"But...what's going on…? I...I don't understand!"
"It's alright, I'll explain it to you Keita..." Keita placed a hand over his mouth, something that deeply troubled Kai. "Keita..."
"No..."
"What...Young Keita?"
All Might inquired, trying to understand what Keita had figured out.
Keita stared defiantly at Kai who furrowed his brows.
"...When he fought Mirko-san...he was able to bend the spikes...he could only achieve something like that if he kept using Overhaul...but, that wasn't Overhaul...that was...my Quirk."
Gasps went through each of the Hero's, as Sir Nighteye recalled what happened back with Mimic.
"But how would...All For One...no, he wouldn't, couldn't be involved..."
While All Might tried to understand it, Kai chortled.
"Don't try and understand, you don't know the full power of Rewrite."
"Rewrite...?"
Keita seemed confused, while Kai murmured "Damn." as if he had just let that slip by mistake.
But then Kai placed his hand on the ground, and unleashed his power, controlling the ground and causing it to erupt for the Hero's, but All Might stepped forward, and thrust his hand out while announcing "You wont get past me!" allowing a huge amount of air pressure to destroy the spikes that came for them.
However, to his shock, only a few of them broke, with some of them having heavy cracks in them. All Might was sure he didn't hold back in the punch, so seeing that some survived as well as they did astonished him.
"Even if you can do that, I'm still not going to give up."
Extraordinary speed allowed All Might to appear before Kai within a moments notice. His fist already in mid swing for him.
Kai acknowledged that All Might was fast and predicted he'd come at him like that, so he had already made his hand touch the ground, forcing it to shoot up and attempt to stab All Might's body.
All Might crossed his arms, and announced "Carolina Smash!" and unleashed an X shaped swung of his arms, cleaving the ground spikes in two, but Kai already had reached for All Might's body, his finger inches away from his flesh.
"All Might-san! Don't let him touch you!"
All Might heard the call of Keita, so he pulled back a few inches, avoiding a direct touch, while swinging his head forward, colliding it with Kai's own.
The force of the impact caused blood to leak out of Kai's head, as well as make things spin for him, his vision blurring.
Still, he wouldn't allow All Might to win, so he took out another syringe, injecting himself, and his eyes, a laser beam shot out for All Might. Because he wasn't expecting it, he narrowly dodged it.
"Tch, making me use powers other than my brothers...but, it will destroy you!"
"Another Quirk..."
All Might was astounded, and dodged another volley of lasers, while also dodging the ground from heavy duty spikes.
The lasers penetrated concrete, while the ground was difficult for All Might to shatter without getting serious, and with the speed behind the attacks, even All Might was surprised.
His eyes weren't so great either from the gas attack before so it was hard to see everything coming for him, probably Kai's intentions if this happened to weaken All Might as much as he could.
Keita looked at Kai, seeing his face scrunching up as he used the Quirks.
His hands tensing.
Keita knew why as well.
"All Might!" All Might turned to Keita who, with a mixture of sadness and strength, called to him. "He can't use my power indefinitely! It strains his body the more he does it! If he doesn't have any seconds to relax, then he'll eventually be unable to do it!"
All Might looked towards Keita with surprised, yet endearing eyes.
"Young Keita..."
"Put the pressure on, and you'll get through! He's not got a tolerance for the strain on his body!"
Kai looked towards Keita.
"Keita...why?"
"Because, this has to stop, now big brother."
Kai's eyes fell into despair, while All Might saw the strength behind Keita's eyes, to reveal a weakness like that was brave and amazing in All Might's eyes.
"I see...then if I keep going, he'll be defeated...If you can take dying for years Young Keita...then I can take these attacks!"
Kai watched in horror as All Might closed the distance. Despite being barraged by attacks, lasers hitting his skin, and stone spears coming to attack him, he powered through.
He punched and kicked his way through each assault, getting increasingly bloodier by the moment. The stone got obliterated while some managed to cut his skin and while the lasers hit his skin, it didn't penetrate through him, All Might used his incredible strength to swat the attacks away.
"No, get away!"
Kai snapped, creating many walls before and around him to block off All Might.
But, All Might tightened his hand, channeling power into said fist.
"You wont run away from me! Take this, Detroit Smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash!"
Unleashing his mighty fist, All Might sent numerous Detroit Smashes forward, his fists being so powerful that they generated wind pressure that was obliterating the area.
Keita, and the others had to hold onto the ground due to the power of the attacks, Kai himself looked fearful as the immense strength and wind pressure shattered the walls that had been set up.
All Might though acknowledged that it was very sturdy, and difficult to penetrate with his attacks. Though like Keita had said, there were walls that were weaker than others, so the strain was hitting Kai quite hard.
But when getting by the last one, Kai took out another syringe, only for All Might to wave his hand in the air so fast that wind pressure knocked the syringe out of his hand, breaking on the ground to Kai's worry.
"This is for all the times you've ever killed that child! For everything you've put him through! Each heart break! Each time you denied him freedom! Each time he had to sacrifice happiness for your sake! It ends now!"
All Might managed to get in close, and unleashed a flurry of punches to Kai's body.
Each blow was devastating for Kai, he was coughing up blood increasingly so. His durability was good, but All Might was tougher, and sent him flying backwards with a strong punch to his face.
Hitting the ground several times as he skidded backwards, All Might leapt forward, appearing above Kai, and slammed his foot down, drawing blood from his head as his face smashed into the ground.
All Might didn't put his all into it, he didn't want to kill Kai.
But he thought he put a good sufficient amount of power into it, and ended up seemingly knocking him out…
No.
Kai was still awake, nearly beaten, he turned towards Keita, a pleading look on his face.
"Keita...together, we can win...join me..."
Keita couldn't.
He just couldn't say anything, and turned away.
"Keita...please...I...I love you..."
"...If you loved me...why did you Overhaul me so many times...?"
Kai's eyes began falling into despair.
The pain of his injuries.
His body feeling weaker and weaker.
"I...I did it...for a better...world...for you...I did it all...for you...to give you...a better world...a place you and I could live...I didn't want to hurt you...you have to believe me Keita..."
Keita couldn't look at him anymore, turning away from him completely, Kai felt as if the Hero's had corrupted his little brother, and made Keita turn on him.
Becoming more distraught, angry, he used his remaining strength to fix his body quickly, while the Hero's got ready to fight.
"You've corrupted my brother...turned him against me..."
"No, you did that yourself."
Mirio said with a disgusted tone.
All Might stepped forward, while Kai angrily glared at him, Sir Nighteye noticing that his hand was in his pockets.
"You're the biggest offender...of Hero Syndrome."
"I don't know what nonsense you're talking about, but it's over now. You can't escape."
"Heh...is that so? If you were actually smart, then you'd understand that we'd always have a back up plan."
All Might didn't understand and neither did the others.
Not until Mirio saw that Chronostasis hair was shooting for All Might.
"All Might! Look out!"
All Might turned just in time, avoiding being cut by the hair, but that in the meantime allowed Kai to touch the ground, bringing Chronostasis towards him, Keita noticing that Chronostasis was holding onto something's hidden by his long cloak.
"Bastard!"
Mirko tried to stop him, but a strong pillar blocked her path, she hopped over it, but saw that Chronostasis was already towards him, so she shot for them both.
At the same time, Kai attempted to bring Keita towards him as well with a piece of the earth. An earth wall raised between him, and the others, bringing Keita's body forward with a flick of his hand.
"No!"
But Mirio was fast enough to phase through the stone wall, and grab Keita, throwing the boy into the air for All Might to catch, holding the boy in one arm while Kai's eyes met with Keita's own.
"Keita...I'll come back for you...don't let those Hero's Brainwash you..."
With that, Kai and Chronostasis were covered with a number of stone walls, hiding their bodies. Before they did, Keita saw Kai and Chrono injecting something into their bodies, more than one syringe.
Mirko didn't stop though, and shattered through the stone walls, it seemed that the power of Keita's had faded from Kai.
Getting through them, she announced "Have this!" and kicked the two people down into the ground, landing on top of them, pinning them down.
Keita looked at the pinned down Kai and Chronostasis, and felt something...was off.
Looking carefully at them, their bodies were...flickering.
"Young Keita, is something wrong? Don't worry, your brother will be-"
"That's not my brother!"
Alarm bells rang through them all, Mirko looked down at them, and saw that their bodies were flickering like an old television.
"Wait, what is this?"
Mirko demanded, as Sir Nighteye rushed over.
Placing his hands on the bodies of Kai and Chronostasis, he tried to use his Quirk to see their future, either of them.
But…
Nothing happened.
That confirmed it for Sir Nighteye.
"He's right...these are doubles somehow..."
Mirko reeled her bleeding foot back, and sent it down into the doubles, squashing them, and saw that they seemed to be near life sized puppets made out of wood, bendable wood at that.
"It was like a mirror image...he had the same expression as big brother had just before the stone walls came up..." Keita murmured, looking towards Sir Nighteye and the others. "...He's escaped, hasn't he? H-He's still..."
"He has to be around here somewhere!" All Might announced, seeing Keita's worries growing. "Sir Nighteye! Send the Hero's outside to do a wide search! He couldn't of escaped far!"
Keita placed a hand to his chest.
"...They're gone...they escaped..."
Mirio went towards the boy, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"It's alright, even if he has, we wont let him get to you again."
Keita appreciated Mirio's words, but he still felt worried.
All Might looked disheartened that Kai was able to escape.
"Little bastard...I guess snakes always do have one trick left."
Mirko murmured, before collapsing to her knee.
Keita and the others then began making moves to get out of the area to get some people medical attention.
Upon reaching the surface, Keita could see many people being taken away. He saw that the Hero's side also had some injured people, but thankfully no casualties.
He looked around for Eri and Himiko, as Sir Nighteye began organizing a search inside of the Shie Hassaikai, hoping that they'd be able to track down the Villain's. But, they didn't think they'd be able to find them.
"So many people came..."
"They came to help save you, Young Keita."
All Might encouraged as Mirio petted the top of his head.
"Don't worry, everyone was happy to come and help."
"Yes...I'm grateful, to all of you. Thank you Hero's...thank you very much."
The Hero's acted bashful as Keita gave them appreciative smiles.
"No...please don't thank us. I'm...sorry that your brother escaped. We...We wanted to capture him, we wanted to make him see justice...to think he had an escape plan ready...I just don't understand where he could have gone..."
All Might offered his apologies.
Keita waved his hand to relieve him of his worries.
"No...please don't apologize. Big brother...always has a way to make an escape. But, seeing all of his members being taken away..."
"I'm sure he wont be coming back for a while, and when he does, we'll be ready."
Sir Nighteye confirmed it with a reassuring look.
Mirko though felt her bottom lip trembling ever so slightly.
Seeing the cute expression on Keita's face, seeing how he looked innocent when saying it.
She jumped towards him, despite her injuries, and wrapped her arms around his head, bringing it to her bust. His face immediately burned red, as Mirko simply stroked the back of his head.
"Honestly, you're so cute! I can't hold it in anymore, you are adorable~ The way you look, your innocent stuff, your strong heart, it's just great~"
Mirko grinned towards him dangerously, he didn't know how to take that smile.
"T-Thank you, I think..."
"No, thank you."
Keita chortled lightly, attempting to pull away.
But Mirko wouldn't let go of his head, his face turning redder as he felt her soft bosom pushing against his face.
But then his eyes caught Himiko with Eri, standing by Ryukyu, relief came over him.
"Eri-chan! Himiko-san!"
Eri, upon seeing Keita, cried "Kei-chan! Kei-chan!" so he went over towards them, and held onto Eri, as she hugged him, happy tears coming out of her eyes. Himiko happily embraced him, and rubbed her cheek with his own.
Right now, he didn't care about anything else, he was just glad that these two were alright.
"A happy ending...I'm so relieved."
Mirio murmured, as All Might sighed.
"Not a fully happy ending."
"Chisaki...he's still out there." Sir Nighteye murmured, with Mirko scowling at that fact. "But, he's not got Keita-san anymore. That's what we were trying to accomplish above all else. And we did. We restored hope into that boy."
"But still, that Kai Chisaki used multiple Quirks...and he got that from that boy huh..."
Mirko murmured, Sir Nighteye shrugged.
"It seems that Keita-sans ability is stronger than we knew. Though, I'm not sure what he's going to do now. Whatever he does, it would be up to him. I don't know if he wishes to have a Hero's path...but, whatever his choice, I'd support him..."
"Nah, he'll become a Hero."
Mirko interrupted.
Mirio agreed.
"Yes, I believe she's right Sir."
"How do you both know?"
Sir Nighteye inquired as Mirio chortled.
"Because, I saw what he did today. Placing himself in danger to help save others. Yes, he'll become a great Hero."
Sir Nighteye smiled at his pupil, while Mirko was taken away to get her injuries fixed. All Might also disappeared, his time limit coming to an end and to get some treatment for the wounds he suffered.
Mirio looked towards Keita, seeing how he was smiling at Eri, and it also made him smile.
Sitting in a hospital room, after having some routine medical tests done to make sure that Kai hadn't done something permanent to him, Keita's eyes cast themselves out of the window. Eri and Himiko slept on the bed together, something he found rather cute.
But, he couldn't help wonder what this meant for his life now.
Kai was still out there.
He was free from him, but not free from him in a sense.
He wasn't sure what to think right now.
What he was going to do now.
Keita remembered about the letter that the Boss gave him, so he fished it out of his pocket, seeing that inside the envelope that there were a number of papers, so he read it to himself.
[Dear Keita. I've been thinking for a long time now, about you my boy. Whenever I see you, you bring me joy. You look after Eri without hesitation. You are a boy filled with warmth and love, someone I'm proud of.]
"Oh Sir…."
He murmured as he wiped a tear coming from his eye, and continued reading the letter.
[But, I've seen a darkness growing in Kai, and experienced it myself recently. I am sure that he might try something. I wont let him hurt you, my boy. Eri is attached to you, she needs a family, and I know this is a heavy burden to ask, I'd like you to be her family now. I don't know if I'll make it out of here in one piece, but in the event that I don't, I'll make sure that you do, and make sure you're taken care of.]
"Taken care of..."
Keita murmured, continuing to scroll down the letter.
[I've set up an emergency account for you, I've been saving it for your eventual move on from the Shie Hassaikai. I always thought you were destined for better things. Everything you need to get on your feet, you'll find the location of this account, among other things on the last page of this letter.]
Keita went through the pages, and surely enough, there were details about locations, account details, among other things.
Keita then continued on, going to the next piece of paper.
[Keita, my boy. You have a lot of potential, I hope that you explore that potential. I'm sorry that you got mixed up in the Shie Hassaikai in the first place. You're too good for the Yakuza. But, also, do me one thing Keita. Don't feel guilty if something happens to me. I know that you will, because you're so kind. But this is my choice, even if I end up deceased, just live your life, find what it is that you want in this world, and hold onto it. That would be enough for me.]
By now, Keita was in tears.
He couldn't control them.
The Boss truly did know him very well.
[Keita, take care of Eri. Be her brother, be her Father, be whatever it is that she needs you to be. That's my only request of selfishness that I can ask of you. I know whatever role you take in her life, you'll make her happy. I see you everyday together, she's the happiest with you. Goodbye Keita, take care of yourself. You're tougher than anyone can see, tougher than anyone I know. P.S. between us, you were always my favourite.]
Keita chortled as tears flowed from his eyes freely, but he also had a small smile on his face.
The words that he wrote, Keita felt as if he could hear them in his mind.
In that gruff yet kind voice that the Boss had.
"Goodbye Sir...I'll honour your request...like you raised me to do. Be honourable...and protect the innocent. That's what good Yakuza do...we're honourable Sir. Thank you."
Sitting their quietly, Keita closed his eyes as he leaned back in the chair. His mind cast back to all of the times he interacted with the Boss. How he had taken them in when no one else did. How he was kind to him. How he would buy him stuff.
Everything he did for Keita, he truly appreciated.
Now he was going to honour what he wanted, and keep Eri safe.
Do anything he'd want him to do.
Keita continued to reminisce about what had happened.
But rather than be sad…
He was proud that the Boss was as wonderful as he thought.
Later on, Keita digested everything the letter had to say, and was wondering what was going to happen next.
Soon though, there was a knock at the door, Keita simply said "It's okay, you can come in." so the person did, it turning out to be Sir Nighteye.
Keita's eyes went towards him.
"Sir Nighteye-san..."
"Keita-san, how are you feeling?"
"I don't know...he's still out there..."
Sir Nighteye couldn't deny his truth, and sat down nearby.
"Yes, but we shut down a big part of his operation today. We arrested over a hundred people that he had gathered. We found out where he escaped. Underground tunnels. I surmise that he used both of your Quirks to shape them. It seems that they had been formed a little while ago, probably anticipating this attack, or simply being cautious. We followed the tunnels, and found they came out just outside the city. We're searching around there now..."
"But he's probably gone now...right?" Sir Nighteye gave a dejected nod. "Sir Nighteye-san, did you arrest someone called Rappa-san? Erm...Kendo Rappa-san, he's this big tall guy. You met him once, remember?"
Sir Nighteye furrowed his eyebrows, ultimately shaking his head to Keita's relief.
"...No, we didn't come across him, it seems he also escaped."
"I see..."
Keita was relieved.
He knew Rappa was technically a bad guy, but to Keita, he was a friend, and he was glad that he might have the opportunity to see him again in the future.
"However, Keita-san. That power you mentioned to me on the phone...you also seemed surprised what Kai Chisaki did..."
"...I didn't know, he had used multiple Quirks. I don't understand how...no, maybe I do...it's me, isn't it? My Quirk...did it?"
"Most likely yes. But, I also should tell you...we found a man that was able to produce a second Quirk as well. Some kind of tear gas...Quirk. Though it seemed to eventually disappear...so, I theorize that he hasn't found a way to use someone's copied Quirk permanently. A few minutes before it wears off perhaps."
Sir Nighteye didn't lie to him.
He couldn't.
Keita understood that, and was thankful that he wasn't lying to him.
"My power...he said it was strong...I didn't know that it could do that... My Quirk...brother called it Rewrite in that fight...he always told me that it was called Reshape."
"Rewrite...so, you thought it was something different to what it is and he told you it was called Reshape."
"I thought that I could only reshape matter, like make it twist and bend, and fix things that had broke or had been damaged, peoples bodies, inanimate objects, as long as I had the materials there, put things back together by reshaping it...but what he did with creating Quirks..."
"What is his Quirk exactly? I have a good idea, but if you know the full extent of it..."
At that, Keita thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Big brothers...his Quirk allows him to dissemble and reassemble matter. He can even fuse things by destroying and recreating it by holding onto two things at once among other things."
Sir Nighteye furrowed his eyebrows.
He was beginning to understand Kai's mindset, how he came to that conclusion.
"He probably kept that aspect of your Quirk secret from you, so you didn't figure out what he was truly doing. Your Quirk most likely is reshaping matter like he said, but rather than just reshaping it, you alter matter."
"Altering matter...?"
"Yes, I'd surmise that based on what I saw, and what you explained. Say, you take a piece of wood, you'd be able to alter it, turn it denser, sharper, change it from a flat piece of wood, to a shield, or a sword or any shape you can think of, basically, rewriting it. Seeing it today...it seems Kai's able to rewrite the body to produce the Quirk he injected, while keeping his original. It's very intelligent, but the method he used is disgusting."
Keita shuddered.
All this time, he didn't know that he could do that.
"Still, my Quirk has limits, if I use it for too long, then my body would feel the strain of using my power. If I can rest between them, for a few seconds, he felt the strain on his body from my Quirk, he wasn't used to it."
Keita explained, which made sense to Sir Nighteye.
Keita then leaned back, and spoke with a soft somber look.
"When he first did it...he said that I'd be able to help him...that my blood had the power to save the lives of the Yakuza members...and also, the Boss...he said that it would help him. You see...the Boss was ill along time ago, but when big brother first...Overhauled me, he improved. He got better...big brother said it was thanks to me...though I was scared...I wanted to help the Boss...I was young...so young, so I believed it...but as time passed, I became more dubious as to that being the true reason. But by that time...big brother grew colder, and he was more willing to kill people...so he continued, and I accepted it, knowing if I didn't, others would be hurt, and I couldn't take anyone being hurt, or killed, because of me..."
"I see...it seems you've been through so much in your young life."
"Though...I have to know...what's going to happen to us now? I read the letter the Boss gave me...he told me to look after Eri-chan...that's what I'm going to do. Are we going to be sent to some orphanage?"
Sir Nighteye rejected what Keita said.
"Orphanage is out of the question right now. With Overhaul out there...there's no telling what he's going to be doing. You need to be protected. I know this outcome wasn't the one we intended...we had intended to capture him, we weren't aware he could copy Quirks….next time, when we find him, that will be taken into account, and he'll be stopped."
Keita smiled gently.
"Yes...but, you didn't answer. What's going to happen to us now?"
"Well...that depends on what you want."
Keita furrowed his brows.
"I don't understand..."
"Because of your unique situation...you have to be protected. So, the most logical would be to have you be cared for by a Hero. We've deemed that a strong Hero would be best."
"Would that be All Might? Mirko-san? Or you? Or maybe some other Hero?"
"I...I don't know. What would you want to do?"
What did he want?
That question was something Keita hadn't ever been asked before.
What did he truly want now?
Keita knew what he wanted.
"...I'd want to stay with you."
Sir Nighteye was baffled he said that.
Being offered other kind of strong Hero's, Keita chose to be with him over them.
"...You know that I don't have the capabilities like All Might. Or even Mirko-san."
"You were the first person to reach out to me...you did so much to find me. If it wasn't for you...those strong Hero's wouldn't have known about me...you came for me when no one else did...in the park that day. You knew you could die...yet, you risked it all for me. Though I'd understand if you didn't want me around..."
"Okay."
He cut him off, causing confusion to Keita.
"O-Okay?"
"If that's what you want...then okay. You can stay with me. I'll take care of you."
Keita's eyes began to produce tears.
Not because of what he said…
But because he felt the emotion behind it.
There wasn't any second guessing.
There was only acceptance, and kindness.
"S-Sir..."
"It's alright now...it's okay to relax. No one's going to ever hurt you like that again. The things you've had to put up with until now...it's over now."
Keita inhaled slowly.
It felt good having to not constantly be on guard…
No, rather he was on guard.
He knew his brother was out there.
But, it felt good that he didn't have to do it all alone anymore.
"Sir Nighteye-san...thank you, thank you for saving us."
Sir Nighteye shook his head.
"No, please don't thank me. I'm just glad that you're okay, all of you."
"Still...thank you for pushing so hard. I thought you were crazy...that you should just give up...but, I'm glad you didn't." He leaned closer to Sir Nighteye, and gave a light smile, which made Sir Nighteye smile also. "By the way, can I go and see my angry kitten again soon?"
"Angry...kitten?"
"Yes, she's this blonde haired girl that's got this cute way of acting like she doesn't care when she really does~ I just find her so adorable and I want to hug her quite soon~"
"I see...I think that could be arranged."
Keita gave a thankful nod.
"Also...I'd like to thank that boy."
"Boy? You mean Mirio?"
"Yes...Togata-san, if it wasn't for him, big brother would have taken me at the end. He threw me up into the air, and saved me from being dragged away. He saved me...Mirko-san saved me too...All Might...Ryukyu-san, cute Dragon lady...Fat Gum-san, best big boy ever….Best Jeanist-san I believe who looks awesome...all of them. Everyone, I'd like to thank them for saving us, I'll never forget it."
"You don't have to thank us all, we all did it because that's our jobs. Being Hero's is what we live and breathe."
"Yes...being a Hero...I wonder if I could..."
"Is that what you want?"
Keita chortled lightly.
"I want to help people. Like the Hero's that helped me. I want to be someone that gives other people a chance, like you did me. Give them a better life than they do now. I want...I guess I want to be their big brother, the big brother that my brother used to be."
"Keita-san..."
"I know it's hard to believe. But there was a time when he was kind to me. I remember, we didn't have a home to return to when we were young...so, we were out in the cold. My brother...he sacrificed his own warmth, just for me. He gave up his food for me. He held me when I cried, he comforted me and protected me from bad people that tried to hurt us, he'd get hurt just for me, protecting me. I know it's hard to imagine...but, he did love me. I don't know if he does now...or it's a twisted sense of the word. Either way...I know my big brother is a monster...but, he was a good man once. I'm not going to defend him...but I also know that he was good to me once. Those memories of my elder brother...allow me to keep going forward, and do that same thing for others. Be their big brother, be that version of my elder brother. To be there for them, when no one else will or can."
Sir Nighteye believed he understood by what he was saying, and he thought it was rather beautiful.
Be the big brother to everyone else, that Kai used to be for him.
To protect, and love them, the love that Kai used to give to Keita.
"I see...think about what you want, and whatever it is, I'll help you gain it."
"Thanks, Sir Nighteye-san."
Sir Nighteye nodded, standing up.
"Rest for now, tomorrow we'll begin your new life. Don't worry, a few Hero's will be posted around the hospital, I will also be outside if you need anything."
"Okay. Goodnight, Sir Nighteye-san."
"Goodnight."
Sir Nighteye left the room, as Keita went over to the bed.
Placing his head on the pillow, he finally could relax.
He smiled as he began falling asleep.
A more peaceful sleep than he had in a long time.
Kai Chisaki, despite escaping….had lost much.
He had lost Eri, he had lost a number of people that he had worked hard to get.
But most of all, he had lost Keita.
That last one, was the important thing to him, the most important.
Chronostasis walked nearby, bringing an assessment report on the current situation.
"Overhaul-sama, we have lost-"
"Shut up."
"Overhaul-sama..."
Kai stood up, his cold eyes turning onto Chronostasis.
Chronostasis looked worried as Kai narrowed his eyes dangerously.
"I have just lost my brother, don't tell me what we have lost. Tell me, what we have left."
"Yes...we have Kendo Rappa, Mimic, Shin...and around fifteen soldier's left. Shin managed to get them away before the Hero's captured them."
"So...we have a little under twenty...fine."
"Fine?"
"Yes. We might have lost them all...but, we still have some resources. We just have to build more and more. We will get my brother back. Those Hero's...they stole him away...poisoning his mind against me...we're going to rid them off this world. All Might….Sir Nighteye….Mirko...that school boy...all of them are going to die for this."
Chronostasis could see the anger that he was displaying.
He then sat down again and turned away.
"I need to be alone. Leave."
"Y...Yes."
Chronostasis bowed, and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
Being alone, Kai sighed deeply.
Going into his pocket, he pulled out a picture, a picture he always carried.
A picture of him and Keita standing side by side with smiles on their faces.
Many emotions bubbled inside of him.
He didn't usually show emotions.
But right now, he couldn't help but feel depressed.
Now that Keita was gone…
More than his power, he missed being with his little brother.
"...Together forever...Keita."
Whispering that out, he placed a hand on his forehead.
Releasing a sad breath, Kai was contemplating what he was going to do next.
But all he could do right now was reflect on the times he had with his little brother, and how much he missed him. He didn't want to feel like this, he didn't want to be brought down by his emotions.
Only Keita could make him feel this attached to someone.
He...was lonely, without Keita.

So yeah, the raid for Keita concluded this chapter! With Keita, Himiko and Eri getting away from Kai and the others. Kai also revealed what had been hinted through the story, now knowing why he had been Overhauling Keita, for his Quirk, which is called Rewrite. To explain it here simply, while Kai's ability is to break down matter and reform it, Keita's ability allows him to manipulate matter and alter it, like what Kai did by blocking shots from Mirko and All Might with the ground, making it more durable, when he couldn't before using Keita's power, and now that Keita knows more about his power, we'll be seeing him using it in some unique ways. Of course there's limits, it seems that it strains Keita's body the more he uses it, a weakness Kai was more susceptible to than Keita since he's had it all his life, but as the series goes, Keita will build more of a tolerance for that, and he's got a few applications with his power that haven't been shown yet.
In his research, Kai's took Keita's Quirk a step further, and found that by mixing Keita's blood with others blood, targeting the Quirk Factor within peoples blood with Keita's own Quirk for it to reproduce in others bodies to temporarily give others Quirks through the use of Keita's own, similar to how he had Eri's in canon only target Quirk Factors and rewind them, it's the same with Keita's but instead of removing people Quirks, this is giving other people Quirks. How Kai even discovered that, will be explained later on, and if Keita will use that aspect to acquire Quirks on a more permanent level, or help others now that he understands more of his power, we'll see.
But yeah, the Boss sacrificed himself for Keita, showing that he did love him in the end, and wanted what was best for him. Even leaving him money and told him to be there for Eri.
Mirko came and managed to hold off Kai, delivering some good damage. Mirio also came through and managed to save Keita from being taken, All Might and Sir Nighteye worked together to take down Mimic, then All Might beat down Kai after getting through his barrage of attacks.
Saving Keita, Himiko and Eri, the Hero's took them away, and got some medical checks on them. Keita also read the letter from the Boss, who left Eri in his care, and gave some departing words, then Sir Nighteye came and after speaking for a bit, Keita decided to stay with the person who first reached out to him. Maybe Sir Nighteye might not be the strongest, but to Keita, he truly is his Hero, someone that didn't give up in saving him.
Kai also is at a loss, thinking about Keita, and showed genuine remorse about losing him to the Hero's, showing that even if he is quite twisted, he does genuinely love Keita.
So now with that out of the way, Keita will soon be going to U.A and for the fun times to begin, Keita and the others beginning to experience a better life than before!
