Full Moon Craziness

So, as was stated a few stories back, sorcerers/sorceresses go into what would best be described as a heat on the corresponding day of the month to their birthday and the full moon. After doing some research, Marik's birthday is December 23rd and since I made it so he has some sorcerer blood in him, he too is affected by the full moon.

Premise set, enjoy!

2 weeks later, February 23rd

Marik walks into work, making sure to lock his car as he goes, tense and nervous.

"Hey boss, what's got you?" one of the crew asks.

"Nothing." Marik nearly growls.

"Problems with the old lady?" Another jeers. Marik casts him a glare and before he can stop it entirely, a light lavender glow envelopes the crew member, throwing him to the other side of the shop.

"I said nothing, now shut your fucking mouth." Marik snarls as he walks into the main office and slams the door shut. Just then Bakura and Tristan arrive.

"Guys, ya may need to have a sit down with Marik. He's a bit pissed about somethin', we just don't know what it is." The crew member who didn't get thrown, Jay, says.

"Yeah we do. It's about his girl." The other, Lee, replies as he dusts himself off. Tristan and Bakura walk into the office to find an array of things whizzing across the room and a rather annoyed Marik. Before Tristan can even start a question Bakura starts with asking questions in Egyptian. After ten minutes of near complete babble Bakura motions for Tristan to leave, looking pained to go.

"So, what's up with him?" Tristan asks. A smirk breaks out on Bakura's face as he and Tristan get out of earshot from Marik.

"Ok, bit of a lesson here. Since Tajra is an Egyptian sorceress, her heritage is a bit odd about fertility and procreating. There are two times a month that sorcerer's and sorceress's are incredibly fertile, on the corresponding day of the month to their birthday, in Tajra's case, the twenty-ninth of every month unless it's her well, never mind, you know where I'm going, and the first night of the full moon. And, after Marik revealed to me that he has sorcerer blood in him, well, let's just go with he's looking for excuses not to go home." Bakura chuckles out as Tristan contains his laughing.

"Man that has got to suck! I mean, I can understand to a certain degree, but having an impulse built straight into your genetics that you have no choice over has got to be a pain." Tristan chuckles.

"It was meant for back in the ancient times that young couples would go forth and procreate with the one that captured their attention most and then that night they would be bound in marriage. And seeing that there was a prophecy about those two being meant for each other…" Bakura chuckles.

"But wait, wouldn't this have been more prevalent early on in their relationship? Wouldn't we know about this by now?" Tristan asks.

"No, because we started dating in the fall, when the sexual drives of both are at an all-time low in preparation for the winter. Now that spring is on its way, those drives get woken back up with a fucking vengeance. So nice to know that my heritage concerns you." Marik sneers sarcastically.

"Well, he did need to be informed." Bakura smiles to his friend.

"So, what are you gonna tell the other mechanics?" Tristan asks.

"Still working that out." Marik says.

"So, dare I ask how you knew today was the full moon?" Tristan asks.

"Other than looking on any calendar? Plus, it's the twenty-third, day corresponding with my birthday." Marik asks.

"Oh." Tristan says.

"I knew it was coming up before checking the calendar because of Tajra's mood lately. Now I know what to look for from now on." Marik says.

"Such as?" Bakura asks.

"Look, I don't want to talk about it at work. The main reason I came to work today other than its necessary was to not think about it." Marik says.

"You can't hide from this man." Tristan says.

"I'm not hiding from it. I'm trying to remain in control of myself, which I might add, is rather difficult. Now, let's get to work." Marik says as they get everything opened up and ready for business. Within the first ten minutes, there's already a few cars and a bike on the lot.

Lunch

"You gonna pick up Tajra for lunch?" Tristan asks.

"Don't know. I'll text Migita and Mai about her mood." Marik says as he sends a quick text to Mai.

"Ok, that's odd." Mai says as she and the other girls walk out of the building for lunch with their boyfriends.

"What's odd?" Shizaa asks.

"Marik sent me a text about Tajra's mood. I have no clue what he means by it but I'll answer it." Mai starts only to be stopped by Tajra.

"Don't." Tajra says in the weird airy tone she's had all day.

"Why not?" Mai asks.

"It's…complicated." Tajra says. Migita contains her giggles as Tajra remains in her slightly dreamy state.

"Ok." Mai smiles as she gets into Joey's car before she send the text to Marik.

"What was that about?" Joey asks.

"Tajra has been acting strange today. All airy and breathy and in a dreamy state like she's just had…but that can't be right, she would've…or maybe…" Mai starts to mutter.

"Mai, babe, you're killin' me here." Joey says as the park at the usual café.

"I need to call Marik." Mai says as she dials Marik's number.

"Hey Mai, so she's been acting weird. Weird how?" Marik asks.

"Did you and Tajra have sex?" Mai asks.

"No!" Marik replies annoyed and embarrassed as Bakura and Tristan laugh in the background.

"Then why is she acting all dreamy and oh, I don't know, in the mood." Mai asks.

"Look, it's complicated as hell, and I don't want to talk about it. Thanks Mai. Have a good lunch." Marik says quickly hanging up.

"What was that about?" Joey asks.

"I don't know, but I want to find out. After lunch." Mai smiles.

"Never thought I would get that question out of Mai, then again, she is the blunt one." Marik says as Bakura and Tristan recover from their laughing fit.

"I'm sorry, but the look on your face was hysterical." Tristan chuckles. Marik glares at them as they recover.

"Oh, shut up. So, you guys wanna hang out after work, go to a bar, something?" Marik asks.

"Sure, on one condition." Bakura says.

"I hate when you say that. What is it?" Marik asks.

"You explain to the other's your plight. Who knows, they might have some good ideas, or at least sympathize." Bakura says.

"Well, considering Mai is with Joey and Joey is a big mouth anyway, that I can do." Marik says.

"Now, the only problem to solve is what you're going to do for lunch." Bakura says. Marik simply gives his friend a mischievous smirk and Bakura grimaces.

"Shit." Bakura groans.

"You brought it up, you pay for it. Later!" Tristan laughs as he and the others walk out.

"Just be on your best behavior Bakura." Marik says.

"I always am, but why?" Bakura asks.

"No teasing us about it, otherwise she'll, well, make Migita have the same issue." Marik says.

"Then you need to keep her under control somehow." Bakura argues.

"Do you have any idea what that would constitute?" Marik asks.

"Try?" Bakura asks.

"No promises. Where do you and Migita go?" Marik asks as he leans against his car. Bakura gives him the address and name and informs him that it is vegetarian friendly before they leave. Just as they pull up to the building their respective girlfriends get into the cars.

"We're having lunch with Marik and Tajra." Bakura says.

"Could've guessed that what with how Tajra gets around these times. She'll still be difficult to be around considering her energy can latch onto anyone she chooses. No teasing her please." Migita says as they lead Marik to the lunch place.

"I want to feel sorry for him, really I do, but I'm finding it difficult to feel a little sorry for him. He knew this would happen eventually." Bakura says.

"Yes, but consider this. If I were in her state, almost damn near panting after you for no reason other than my biological clock tells me to even when my brain is saying no, and is about the only part of my body saying no, and knew that you would say no because of moral obligation and because you care, it hurts and only adds to the thrill of the chase at the same time, even though it will be fruitless." Migita says. Bakura looks at her oddly, still a bit confused.

"Ok, imagine being stuck with a twenty-four hour erection for no reason other than the moon cycle or day of month. You know I would say no, but you know it's because I care, but everything in you is still telling you to try and go for it, even though you know the answer already. That's basically her predicament." Migita says.

"And his." Bakura says.

"What?" Migita asks. Bakura explains just as they pull up to the café. Getting out of their cars Bakura gives her a look and mouths 'tell you later' to her before they all walk into the café. They find a seat and soon enough a waiter is at the table.

"Would you like something to drink?" the waiter asks.

"Water." Marik replies.

"Tea." Tajra says.

"Coke." Migita and Bakura say in unison.

"Alright, have you decided on something to eat yet?" The waiter asks. Tajra gives Marik a look before Marik dismisses the waiter saying they'll need a moment while Bakura tries not to chuckle at his friends predicament.

"So, how's work been?" Migita asks both men.

"Oh, the usual. Dealing with morons on wheels." Marik says cynically as he looks over the menu.

"How so?" Migita asks.

"Ok, so today we had this…" Bakura starts going on about a certain customer and his car. Marik joins in, adding to the story when he felt it necessary.

"Yeah, and the guy tried, not once, but three times to come back into the fucking shop to 'show us how to do things', and then he goes and fucks up his own paint job and then threatens to sue us for it." Marik says.

"Isn't it, oh I don't know, unethical to let the customer work on a car or bike in your shop?" Tajra asks.

"Yeah, but the idiot wouldn't listen to a damn thing we said. So after literally pushing him out of the working area, three times, the ass kept coming back in." Bakura says. The waiter walks over and takes their orders and menus before he leaves again and they get back to their story.

"So, what did you do by this point?" Migita asks.

"Well, the guy started calling us a bunch of incompetent grease monkey's. Then after Marik explained to him for the umpteenth time that he couldn't be in the shop because of insurance the man got in his face and asked what a, quote pussy ass unquote, like his would do about it. And well…" Bakura smirks as the girls look to Marik as the waiter brings out their food.

"What did you do?" Migita asks.

"Please, do tell." Tajra smirks.

"I decked the fucker." Marik says nonchalantly. The waiter places the food on the table. They all thank him before he leaves and then continue their conversation.

"He hit him so hard he flew across the room. I think he used some of his magic." Bakura chuckles quietly.

"Yeah, I did." Marik says as he eats.

"Tajra, how many spells have you taught him?" Migita asks.

"Only a few." Tajra says innocently.

"Yeah, barrier, levitation, teleportation, and healing. The other ones I read from her books." Marik shrugs.

"You little sneak." Tajra says half offended. Marik rolls his eyes at her.

"But when have you been able to learn without her teaching you?" Migita asks.

"It's actually not too hard to imagine. At age twenty, sorcerers gain a boost in magical ability, whereas sorceresses gain one at fifteen. The boost lasts for five years for men, ten for women, so that at twenty five for both they've stabled out and should be mostly mastered by then. I obviously go against that, but I still have the boost in my system, whereas he just got his. Being around me in general is fueling it basically, among other things." Tajra says.

"Ah, that explains the whole everything in the office flying around thing this morning." Bakura chuckles.

"Pretty much." Tajra chirps as they eat. Marik's phone buzzes.

"Wonder what Joey's calling me for?" Marik says as he answers the phone.

"What's up Joey?" Marik asks.

"Mai is wonderin' what's up with Tajra?" Joey asks.

"Mai should know. Just tell her it's a full moon. She'll know from there." Marik says.

"Ok, but I'm confused. Mai, Marik says it's a full moon…so what the heck does that mean?" Joey asks. Mai's giggling could be heard in the background.

"Tell ya what, I'll explain it later. I can bet Mai is texting the other girls now and telling them. Just ask Yugi and Seto if they wanna hang out after work. Go to a bar or something like that and I'll explain it. I'll text Duke." Marik says getting a glare from Tajra.

"Marik…" Tajra almost whines.

"Actually, they're both here with Téa and Jetta who are gigglin'. Yo, you two want to know what all dis is about, Marik's offerin' to explain it after work at a bar…ok, cool, yeah, which bar?" Joey asks.

"Ok, let me text Duke and see if he's good and then I'll send you the bar after ok?" Marik asks.

"Ok. See ya later!" Joey chuckles as they hang up. Marik puts his phone away before catching the look Tajra was giving him.

"Not here, and not now Tajra." Marik says in Egyptian.

"Guys night, really? Tonight?" Tajra near growls back.

"I'm explaining to them what's going on with the both of us so they can be informed and not pester the hell out of us. All your friends know, whereas only two of mine know." Marik says calmly.

"But Marik I…" Tajra starts to pout only for Marik to shush her, knowing where she was about to go.

"Tajra, no." Marik says.

"What are they saying?" Migita asks quietly as she eats her food.

"I'll tell you on the way back to work." Bakura says.

"Do you really mean that?" Tajra asks in her airy tone.

"Yes, I really do." Marik says.

"Because I don't think you mean that." Tajra smiles, her left hand resting on Marik's knee.

"I do mean that. Tajra, we're in public." Marik sighs.

"That can change." Tajra smirks.

"Tajra, I said no." Marik says.

"But why?" Tajra asks in a pleading tone.

"Can we discuss this later?" Marik asks.

"How if you're going to hang with the guys?" Tajra asks.

"I know you won't sleep until I'm home." Marik says calmly.

"And how do you know that?" Tajra asks.

"Intuition." Marik replies as they finish off their food. They head back to work, dropping the girls off first of course. Tajra is about to put a seduction spell on Marik but he catches her hand before it reaches her lips and flicks her wrist, nullifying the spell.

"Good try babe, but I know a few of your tricks." Marik smiles. Tajra goes to argue but is quickly silenced by Marik's lips pressing hers. She lets out a slight moan before he breaks the kiss with two smaller kisses.

"Hun, we both need to get back work." Marik says.

"Jetta would understand." Tajra argues.

"Tajra." Marik says. Tajra pouts as she gives in and gets out of the car. Walking into the building, her friends carry on a conversation.

"Did Joey say where they would be going tonight?" Tajra asks.

"Nope." Mai says.

"Marik is such a damn sneak." Tajra growls as she and the others head to work.

That night

The guys all meet up at the bar Marik had chosen and had ordered a couple of drinks already.

"So, what's going on with you guys? Mai's question from earlier kinda caught us all of guard and your response an' all." Joey says.

"Yeah, so before I go into that, let me just say, please no giving me or Tajra shit about this unless you want to go through the same shit I am." Marik says as he takes drink of his scotch.

"Ok, spill." Seto and Duke say.

"Guys, seriously." Bakura says.

"Look, if it's an issue this crazy, we won't give you guys shit about it, especially if it could have repercussions for us." Duke says.

"Yeah." Yugi agrees.

"Ok. First off, I need to inform you of something about my heritage. I'm part sorcerer, and it's starting to become more and more prevalent. As in, I know a very wide variety of spells and curses. Tajra's taught me a few." Marik says as their eyes go wide.

"That's sweet!" Duke chuckles.

"To a degree. Unless you're name is Lee." Tristan jokes. Marik rolls his eyes.

"Ok. I have a feeling this leads into the issue." Yugi says.

"I have a feeling its part of the issue." Seto says.

"You're both right." Marik says. It's silent for a moment.

"Ok, so part of the sorcerer culture is handling certain days of the month. The day corresponding with the day of your birth and the night of the full moon. On those days for the whole twenty four hours they are overwhelmed with the urge to procreate. Naturally if said urges are either suppressed or ignored, it can result in anger, short temper, and or desperate measures, hence why I am avoiding my home." Marik says. The men remain silent for the most part.

"That has to suck." Yugi says.

"Yeah, which begs the question, why don't you give in?" Duke asks.

"On those certain days, both parties are incredibly fertile, like about ten times more than usual. And, also fun fact, the women have a spell that prolongs the man." Marik snarls.

"How?" They all ask.

"It's a linking spell, as in, linking each other's minds." Marik says.

"Which means?" Joey asks.

"Multiple times." Marik deadpans.

"And I take it in your culture there isn't much belief in contraceptive." Seto says.

"It's more like you're not really thinking about it, you're not really thinking at all." Marik replies.

"So, she'd get pregnant." Bakura says.

"Yeah, after the first bout, the remaining, shit I don't know, three times, would be for the hell of it." Marik says.

"So you're avoiding your home because your girlfriend is really in the mood right now?" Joey asks.

"Yeah, and I wouldn't exactly stop her because basically everything today has been to distract me from well, her." Marik says.

"Oh yeah, sorcerer and all." Joey says.

"You do know there are alternatives to sex right?" Duke asks.

"Yes, I am acutely aware of that." Marik replies.

"So, how are you gonna handle this, and why hasn't this shown up earlier?" Yugi asks.

"Because it's getting close to spring." Marik says. The guys all nod understanding their friends predicament.

"Again, how are you going to handle this?" Seto asks.

"I don't know. Running obviously doesn't help because she can find me, easily. Telling her no will only work for so long, and distractions are just that, but they don't always help. I'm kinda stuck here." Marik says.

"You could try an alternative." Duke suggests.

"Why?" Marik asks.

"It'll work as a band aid until you guys get hitched." Duke says. Marik shrugs.

"Look, there are few options you got. So asides from sleeping in completely different rooms from each other and locking yourselves away for the day, that's the next best thing." Duke says.

"He makes a point bud." Joey says.

"I'll think on it." Marik says. They finish up their drinks, talk a bit more before they all head home, sober of course. Walking into his home Marik thinks over what his friends said, and it did make sense. A temporary solution until they got married and it no longer mattered. Taking a seat on the couch, he was not surprised when Tajra nearly tackled him, straddling him and kissing his neck.

"Tajra…" Marik starts as she presses herself against him.

"Please." Tajra whines. Marik gives her a quick look before he pulls her into a heated kiss, hoping she'll humor him.

"I have a couple of ideas, keep in mind, it's only temporary, but maybe it'll help us both. I don't want to get you pregnant, but this damn pent up urge is gonna be the death of us both, so, if you're willing to take what I am willing to give, we can go try something." Marik says, making sure to look her straight in the eyes as he says this. Tajra nods.

"I'm willing to try if you are, because, yeah, this tension is gonna kill me. Besides, we can learn about each other and what, exactly, turns us on. So, let's go play a little." Tajra smiles as she hops off his lap and lets him lead her to their room, hand in hand.

Yes, this couple is my most physical, next to Joey and Mai. I'm not going to really delve into it until I get that that point in the story, but naturally I will hint at it. Hope you all enjoyed it! I'll try and get another story cranked out soon, so be on the look out. Until then, please R&R!
