Well, with those lovely reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter!
The Battle Trials part two
Once coming back to the viewing area with Katsuki, and finishing making sure that Izuku's injury wasn't too serious, fixing him to the point that Recovery Girl would take care of it, he saw that All Might had his hands on his hips, showing a readiness to go over some kind of situations.
"Aah, good timing Young Keita!"
Keita raised a brow, seeing that different people were looking towards him...some seemed rather excited.
"Why? What's going on?"
Keita wondered, seeing Sero and Tokoyami standing up. Tsuyu also stood up, and hopped over towards him.
"It seems that we'll be fighting those two ribbit."
Keita's eyes go towards Sero, seeing him shifting from side to side with a smile growing on his face. He also saw that Tokoyami looked quite willing to fight also.
These two, Keita knew Sero's abilities allowed him to shoot out his tape, and it seemed that it was rather fast moving, and Tokoyami's Quirk was something he hadn't really seen before, the ability to summon something from him that acted as a familiar type attacker, or defender. Keita didn't know the true strength of Tokoyami, if he had hidden tricks up his sleeve.
He did know that Tokoyami was a serious person, but for combat potential, Keita knew that Tokoyami would be a harder battle than Sero, due to his Quirk being largely unknown, the strengths and weaknesses of it.
Keita gave an awkward chuckle, and then turned eyes towards Katsuki.
"Kacchan, I've got to go and do battle now."
Katsuki seemed to barely acknowledge Keita, and let out a "...Yeah, alright." and proceeded to just stay in quiet thought, not displaying anything on her face.
Keita had a good idea on what she was experiencing, having gotten to know the young woman in the past number of months, but right now he needed to do his own battle.
Keita then turned to Tsuyu, who looked back towards Sero and Tokoyami.
"They're going to be tough ribbit."
"Yes, they might be. But lets show them the power of our teamwork, okay?"
"Yes ribbit. Lets do this."
Himiko from the side waved her hands up and down.
"Yahoo! Go Kei-chan! Tsuyu-chan!"
"Kei-chan! Please win!"
Eri said it while clutching her hands together in a cute manner. Keita gave a thumbs up to Eri, and then walked off together with Tsuyu.
Sero and Tokoyami also took off together, showing that they were willing to do battle.
Getting onto the battlefield, Keita and Tsuyu stood outside, while Sero and Tokoyami stood inside, the pair of them readying themselves for the assault.
Momo was acutely aware that Keita's Quirk could be dangerous, and went through many scenarios in how she was going to keep the fight going long enough for them to win, added onto Tsuyu who could also provide a good support to the fight itself.
Though she wasn't aware of what Tokoyami could truly do, he was a mystery, and she wondered if Keita and Tsuyu would take that into account. If they didn't know his true power, then they'd have to remain cautious.
"Now this is the fight I've been wanting to see!" Kirishima cheered to the curiosity of Himiko. "Go on, do it! Fight hard!"
Kirishima looked ready to witness a cool fight, while Momo pursed her lips.
"I'm also interested to see how they'd counter him. I know what I'd do...but, even then, it would be difficult to understand which way Keita-san is going to use his ability."
Shoto raised a brow.
"Why's that?"
"It's just, from the way Keita-san described his Quirk, it seems that he would be able to shape and change anything he can touch. I'd say that their best bet is to bind his arms, and legs, so he can't touch anything...but, he has Asui-san with him. If she is with him, then they'd be able to pull off a good team dynamic. It all depends on how Tokoyami-san and Sero-san decide to make their move. I'm not sure of the range of Keita-san's Quirk. If he can use it from a good distance, or he has to be right up close to the enemies within...say five meters or something. Either way, depending on what he can actually do and the speed he can do it, will be the deciding factor in the battle."
At Momo's explanation, Shoto furrowed her eyebrows.
She wondered more about the true capabilities of Keita.
She just sensed that something about him was...different.
Not that he acted weird, or he himself was off.
But, something told her that he seemed to be holding back something.
Whether that be power, or something else entirely, she wasn't sure.
"Distance...yes, that probably would be a factor."
As they were talking, Katsuki's eyes went towards the screen. Seeing Keita acting as if everything was normal...it was baffling to her. She witnessed Izuku using a Quirk, Keita was the only other person that knew Izuku before coming to U.A, and saw that he didn't have that power.
So, it just seemed odd that he seemed to be perfectly alright.
Keita turned towards Tsuyu after a few seconds go by.
[Asui-san, I thought about rewriting the area for us to have a more favourable way of fighting. What do you think?]
[First of call, call me Tsu.] She said in a deadpan manner. [Did you say you could rewrite the area?]
Keita nods, his eyes going over the building itself. Seeing how it was structured, how big and tall it was, Keita was sure that he'd be able to do it.
[Yes, it should be possible for me to change the structure of this building…though of course, while I could simply bring the building down if I put a good enough effort into it, the fact that we have to secure the bomb is something that needs delicate accuracy, and from here...I can't tell where the bomb is going to be...still, I do have a good idea on what we could do.]
Shoto's eyes squinted, while Ochaco chuckled nervously.
"Did he say he could bring down the building then?"
Ochaco's nervous chuckle brought the attention of Katsuki.
She wondered if he could actually do that.
And if he could, then she'd be rather...intrigued to see.
Yet, her thoughts ran back to Izuku, and how she had lost to him.
It just kept playing in her mind over and over again, and she wasn't sure how she'd be able to stop thinking about it.
"D-Damn...h-he can do that?!"
Himiko turned to Mineta, and giggled.
"Kei-chan's been training for a really long time, he's grown quite strong. So it is possible for him to do it." Her eyes went to Shoto. "But, I have a feeling you could do that too, couldn't you? With your ice side~"
"Perhaps, I could freeze the building."
"Then, it seems that you and Kei-chan would have quite a bit of power behind you~"
Shoto looked towards Keita's form, seeing that Tsuyu placed a finger to her chin.
[Tsu-chan, I think once we find them, I should take on Tokoyami-san, you take Sero-san. More than likely, they'll have Sero-san target me, to bind me, so taking him out should be the priority. By making the room something you, as a Frog, would naturally be able to navigate, while they would find it difficult, should be the best way to go, do you think?]
[Yes, I think you're right Keita-chan. I'll do my best to capture Sero-san as soon as we enter the room they're in. His tape might make it difficult...but, I'll do my best.]
"Ke-Keita-chan? Since when could that Frog call him that?!"
Katsuki growled out, Himiko smirked.
"Awww, if they get together too, then we'd share Kei-chan! I wouldn't mind if it is with Tsuyu-chan!"
Katsuki shot a glare for Himiko who held back a smirk that was threatening to appear on her lips.
Keita pursed his lips.
[Hehe, it's so great to finally do these things~ Alright then, shall we begin, Asui...erm, Tsu-chan?]
[Yes, lets begin.]
Keita rubbed his hands together, while Mina cocked her head.
"What did he mean by rewriting the building? He surely couldn't change the entire building to whatever he wants...right? I know he said he might be able to bring it down...but, could he do that from a single point?"
Momo pushes her body ever so slightly forward.
"It's a possibility that he could do. I saw some of what his Quirk could do...if he could warp the entire building...then he would be rather strong. Though I'd understand why not doing it in this situation, if it was just the Villains, then it would be a good way to get the drop on them...but, with the bomb involved, they can't take the chance that it might get damaged, or could be set off. I think that they're going to do the smart thing and remain cautious."
Katsuki's eyes went towards the monitors, seeing Keita breathing slowly, preparing his body.
Eri placed her fingers together, looking rather shy as she spoke "Kei-chan will win." bringing Shoto's eyes towards her.
"You have much faith in him."
Shoto had to express her thoughts.
Though because Eri was a child, it could be called just having faith.
But something about Eri's eyes told her that she believed wholeheartedly that Keita was going to succeed.
It seemed more than faith to someone like Shoto.
Eri, looking towards the half and half girl nodded without hesitation, without showing anything other than complete trust that Keita was going to be able to succeed.
"Because...Kei-chan never gives up...even when the...erm..."
"Situation."
Himiko added for Eri, seeing her searching for the word.
"Yes...the situation...Kei-chan doesn't let...any sit...situation stop him...Kei-chan is someone that...will always...do his best...and Kei-chan never...gives up."
Shoto became intrigued with Eri's words.
It seemed that she was speaking from experience.
Keita then turned to Tsuyu.
[Then Tsu-chan, hold onto me, and we'll shoot through this building, since we have limited time.]
[Understood ribbit.]
Keita jumped into the building, and placed his hand on the ground. From below, the earth became ripply, and then shot him through the building as if he was a surfer riding a wave, only this wave was made out of the ground, with Tsuyu hopping onto his back.
It was faster than running, they could also catch the others off guard if they'd need to.
"Damn...it seems that they can ride the ground like that..."
All Might heard what Kirishima said, but he saw it as more than that.
Keita wasn't merely riding the ground, he was also fixing it from behind, so if the enemies attempted to creep up on them, then they'd not have a trail to follow, and couldn't get the jump up on them at the same time.
All in all, he could tell that Sir Nighteye had trained him pretty well.
Covering his weakness...and if Keita could bring down the entire building, then he would have to praise Sir Nighteye even more for the training that he had given the young man, increasing the output of his Quirk to that degree.
Shooting through the area, going up the stairs, and looking and remaining cautious, they continued in their search.
Momo also saw Tokoyami give Sero a command, and had him run to the near end of the corridor along with him, and set up a barricade of tape which was triggered to a trap which was set up by Toyoyami who used his Quirk to destroy some of the objects laying around, along with some of the ground, and had Sero use his tape to secure it to the ceiling.
Momo also noticed that the tape was also leading back to the base where the bomb was, she believed it was like an alert system and trap to make them fail.
Also, after Sero ran back, he was asked by Tokoyami to cover most of the windows in his tape, blocking off the light.
"What are they doing?"
Mina's doubt was answered by Momo.
"Tokoyami-san and Sero-san are attempting to catch the two of them out. Maybe to put them in a trap, it seems that if the tape is triggered, it will both alert them, and also trigger a trap that would bring down a good deal of debris. Even if it doesn't stop them, it would stall them for a good enough time for them to ready themselves for an attack. And because the tape is rather thick, it will be hard to see through...if they disturb it too much, then they could trigger the trap."
Momo's explanation seemed plausible for someone like Shoto.
Katsuki herself kept looking towards Keita.
Despite the situation...she just couldn't stop thinking that he looked relaxed.
As if he had been in a situation like this before.
As they made it to the second to last floor, Keita stopped just as they turned a corner, when seeing that tape had been spread out before them, like a barricade, Keita's eyes turned to Tsuyu's own.
[Keita-chan, this doesn't feel right to me.]
[Me either. Tsu-chan, can you support my body with your tongue?]
Keita asked, and Tsuyu cocked her head.
[Hold you up? Sure, why?]
[Because, I can go to the previous floor...and then you can hold me as I look on the other side through the ceiling to look at this level. When I'm done, I'll touch your tongue three times in case I do it accidentally.]
All Might, hearing what he said, was happy to see their teamwork shining through.
"It's like how Sir would operate. How he'd take in every angle. In all honesty, Young Keita is probably the strongest out of those four in the Battle Trial. However, he isn't taking that for granted either, he knows his enemies could set traps, that they could attempt to capture him in unique ways. He doesn't know their full capabilities, so he's being smart about this and not just powering through. I'm sure you'd be proud right now Sir Nighteye, he's doing very well. He's strong, but not cocky. He's skilled, and also understands teamwork is what will be deciding factors in fights. All in all...he's doing very well."
All Might smiled out.
Seeing how far Keita had come from the boy that was with Kai, to the growing man that he was becoming. How he was analyzing the situations, how he was conversing with his teammate, and gaining their view, it was exactly how he believed Hero's should act if they have the partner beside them.
Keita then did as he said to Tsuyu, she wrapped her tongue around him, as he used his Quirk on the ground, opening up a hole within an instant, sliding through it, and then moved him forward a good distance.
Getting to a good distance, Keita used his Quirk on the ceiling, looking on the other side of the tape, and could see the trap as well.
He then was brought back to Tsuyu after lightly touching her tongue three times.
Getting back to the level Tsuyu was on, Keita explained.
[From what I could see, this tape barricade is to alert them to our location as it's connected to all the way down the hall, and it seems that there is also something up there being held by tape, if we disturb it...then it could bring stuff down on us. Even if we know about it, they'd gain advantage by knowing we were coming.]
[...Tricky, this way is the only way to the end of this room...so, they must be down there. But what are we going to do? If we break through, then their trap would spring on us and as you said, they'd know about us...if we don't, we'll waste time…]
Keita looked down, then looked at Tsuyu.
[Tsu-chan, your ability allows you to cling to surfaces, right? Like you can walk across wall and ceiling without falling off, right?]
[That's correct ribbit. I can do what a Frog does, including sticking to walls and ceilings.]
Keita nodded, looking down, then at Tsuyu.
[Then, I can use my Quirk to flip our bodies to the lower level, and go across the ceiling below us, then switch us around on the other side. We'd avoid the tape and trap entirely, and then we'd get the drop on them.]
[I understand ribbit. That's a pretty good idea, lets do it.]
Momo watched with intrigue as Keita got onto Tsuyu's back, his hand touching the floor, which began turning them around.
The floor opened up allowing Keita and Tsuyu to flip onto the level below them, stuck to the ceiling, hanging up side down.
[Then, we'll go Keita-chan. You're quite smart to use your Quirk in these ways.]
[It's all thanks to Sir Nighteye-sans training, before I began training with him...I didn't have this fine control over my power. But now...I can truly use my Quirk to its potential, and go beyond...Plus Ultra, as they say~]
Momo was blown away by their combined abilities. Seeing Keita flip the ground around, looking as if a piece of the level above, the floor, was now the ceiling on the level below, and it fit so perfectly as if it had been designed to be like that.
Eri on the other hand never had any wavering faith.
Seeing how Keita was managing the situation, how he was cooperating, she couldn't be more happy seeing this play out before her.
Tsuyu crawled across the ceiling, until they reached a point the tape wasn't barricading the level above, and flipped their positions once more, coming back to the floor from the ceiling below, seeing the path opened up before them.
"Their teamwork is quite astounding~ Hehehehehe~ It's going to be good when Kei-chan's allowed to unleash his Quirk~"
Himiko giggled again and again, shivering from side to side.
Keita and Tsuyu went down the corridor as quiet as mice.
When arriving there, Keita looked to Tsuyu, who nodded. Looking at the map they had, seeing the general layout of the room, Keita knew how he'd shift it around, all he'd need is a shot to see what would be there, and what wouldn't be.
Keita looked to Tsuyu who took out her capture tape.
Without exchanging words, they both knew who their target was, so Keita rushed forward, and slammed his hand onto the ground.
Tokoyami and Sero were both caught off guard due their tape trap not even springing.
[How did they get through?! It should have set off for us to know they'd come here!]
Sero yelled, watching as the ground warped around them.
[Ngh! T-This area is too unsteady!]
Tokoyami was thrown to the ground as the ground itself shifted at high speeds.
The floors came up in sections, the walls came shooting out into different sized pillars.
[Aaaaaaah!]
Sero screamed as the earth pillars came at him, forcing him to jump to the ground.
[I'll go now Keita-chan.]
Tsuyu used this chance to jump into the room, allowing her tongue to shoot out, wrapping around one of the pillars coming out of the wall, and used that to swing towards the downed Sero.
Sero himself saw her coming, and yelled [I wont give up!] attempting to shoot out his tape for the incoming Tsuyu…
But the moment it left his elbows, Keita took out what seemed to be cylinder shaped metal from the containers on his belt. All Might recognized them as similar to Sir Nighteye's weighted seals, but with some differences, they seemed to be thicker than Sir Nighteye's and looked more durable.
Keita crushed three in his hand, and formed them into knives at the end with his Quirk, announcing [Tsu-chan!] tossing them forward.
Tsuyu looked back, seeing the knives, so she used her tongue to grab them in air, and toss them at the tape coming for her, cutting it down, and pinned some of them down to the ground, shocking Sero.
Tsuyu then jumped down, using her strong legs to pin him down onto the ground.
Bringing out the capture tape, she wrapped it around his arms, binding them, and took him out of the game.
"One down!"
Eri cheered, Himiko grinned.
"I know, they've got good teamwork~"
"Yes, Kei-chan is doing it Himiko-chan. He's winning with the Frog girl!"
"Hehehe, her names Tsuyu Asui-chan, Eri-chan~"
Eri looked at Tsuyu, and gave a little smile that warmed the hearts of those around her.
Shoto couldn't help but see how they were effective in using one another's natural abilities to their advantages.
Tokoyami pulled himself off the ground, seeing it beginning to form around him, attempting to pin him down.
He announced [Dark Shadow!] which came out, and used its strength, enhanced by the darkened conditions they were in, which allowed Tokoyami to be propelled into the air.
Keita watched his face though, seeing that Tokoyami was straining.
It seemed difficult for him to keep his composure.
Keita also noticed that the windows had a good deal of tape on them, covering the area in darkness. Though Keita could see that their was some light allowed to peak through, so they weren't completely in darkness.
Keita wondered why Tokoyami bothered to do that. The windows weren't completely covered, it couldn't be for Tokoyami to see better than them, since they still could see. Light was shining through small patches that didn't have some tape on.
Keita's mind began to work, as Dark Shadow let out a small roaring sound.
[Ribbit...did Dark Shadow roar then?]
Tsuyu looked up to see Tokoyami's eyes to be squinting, it seemed as if he was wincing for reasons that Keita was trying to understand.
[It seem so...Dark Shadows angry right now.]
Dark Shadow then shot down towards Keita, so he shifted the ground into large pillars, shooting them out to combat the hands of Dark Shadow that seemed to be growing more and more, growing to the point that Keita could see Dark Shadows fingers looking almost like long large claws.
Keita used his Quirk to split the pillars up, allowing them to wrap around Dark Shadows fingers. Dark Shadow flexed its fingers, trying to break the earth, but Keita channeled more power into the ground, strengthening it up to the point that it became sturdy enough to slam Dark Shadow's body down.
Tokoyami panted, seeing the earth coming up and pinning down the large Dark Shadow. Keita could see that it was growing slightly bigger as time went on, as Tokoyami's face increasingly was straining itself.
[D-Damn…]
Tokoyami looked on, seeing his Dark Shadow unable to move.
However, Keita could see that Dark Shadow was increasingly becoming agitated, seeing how the ground was splitting in places. Keita could see the power of Dark Shadow growing, as Tokoyami was beginning to lose control.
[Keita-chan! It's going to break through your binds!]
Tsuyu warned, Keita could see that as well, so he reinforced it, halting the progression of Dark Shadow.
Keita called [Tsu-chan, you get the bomb, I'll keep Dark Shadow at bay!] and Tsuyu obeyed, jumping for the bomb as quickly as she could.
"Dark Shadows unexpectedly strong...he didn't display that strength yesterday..."
Momo mused, as Himiko furrowed her brows.
"You're not wrong, he wasn't holding back yesterday, right?"
Momo shrugged.
"I don't know, but it seems unlikely..." Momo looked at Tokoyami's face, seeing how he had a hard time keeping himself composed. "...Hmmmm..."
She didn't share her thoughts, wondering more about Tokoyami and why he looked as strained as he did.
Dark Shadows eyes shot for Tsuyu, Keita noticing that Tokoyami was struggling for reasons he was beginning to work out, and his strength took another increase, enough for it to break some of the earth binding it, clawing deeply into the ground, and sent some rubble towards the young woman at high speed, before Keita's earth bound it down to the ground once more.
Tsuyu looked at the rubble coming for her, her eyes slightly widening…
But then Keita shifted his fingers across the ground, creating a wall before her, protecting her, all the while he kept the increasingly strengthening Dark Shadow at bay.
[Keita-chan…]
[Don't worry Tsu-chan, I've got your back!]
Tsuyu blinked a number of times.
Then she allowed a subtle smile to appear on her face.
[Then I'm going for the bomb!]
Tsuyu continued going forward, while Keita could see Dark Shadow was beginning to thrash around dangerously.
Even Keita had to admit that Dark Shadow was quite strong.
Dark Shadow roared, and tried to run wild, but Keita's earth binds tightened, one even going around his neck, and kept him in place, detaining Dark Shadow who tried to fight back, but couldn't.
At the same time, Tsuyu made it to the bomb, placing a hand on it.
All Might grinned when seeing their victory, Keita and Tsuyu managed to take down the opponents, and it seems that Keita also figured out Tokoyami's weaknesses, which allowed him to get the upper hand, and achieve victory.
"The Hero Team have won the match! With teamwork, and excellent timing, you both have demonstrated the way for you to act during a situation like this! Well done you two!"
All Might shouted with pride, Keita tapped the ground, returning it to normal within a few moments as he used some of the earth to tear the tape off the windows, allowing light to shine in and bring Dark Shadow back down to a manageable state for Tokoyami.
Keita then went towards Tokoyami, and helped him up, as Tsuyu did with Sero.
[Well done Tsu-chan! We managed to win!]
[Yes, thanks to our team effort, we won this fight.]
Eri's face curled upwards, and clapped her hands together.
"Kei-chan...I knew he'd win."
Himiko smiled, and allowed her hand to pet her head.
When they arrived back, Eri jumped towards Keita, and hugged him tightly, Keita smiled at the sight before him, and gently petted her head.
"Did you like it Eri-chan?"
"Yes, Kei-chan did very well, and won the battle!"
"Yup! But, Tokoyami-kun is quite the competitor, I also like the trap you had set up Sero-san~ It would have been quite effective~"
Keita praised Sero and Tokoyami, the former turned red in embarrassment, and the latter seemed to be alright.
"Even then, I am happy to see your progressions!"
All Might smiled out, and began doing the drawings once more.
Keita sat down beside Katsuki with Eri standing up nearby, who looked at him with bewilderment.
"What's wrong Kacchan?"
"...It's nothing."
Keita knew that she was lying.
It was quite clear on her face.
Keita could see that Himiko was left, with Mina on her team.
Keita could see that some of the other teams might give her trouble, Shoto and Momo definitely would be difficult to deal with, Shoto's strength was big, and Momo was smart enough to either lay enough traps if she played the Villain, or she'd be able to use her Quirk to see through some enemies if she was on the Hero's side.
Then the next teams were announced.
The next battle was Himiko and Mina vs Kirishima and Shoji.
"Mina-chan! It's time for us to go! Yippe! Kei-chan! Watch us fight and win!"
Kirishima gave her a curious look as they all walked off.
Eri jumped onto Keita's lap, and he gently petted her head.
"Eri-chan, ready to watch Himiko-chan fight?"
"Yes Kei-chan."
Keita and the others watched as they went towards another building with a similar design as the previous two.
The two girls were outside of the building, while the two boys were inside.
Then the match began.
Immediately, Keita saw that Shoji was advising Kirishima, and they left the room with the bomb in it for unknown reasons, and headed down a flight of stairs.
"What are they doing Kei-chan?"
Eri asked, so Keita informed the best that he could.
"It seems that they're acutely aware that if they tried to get the drop on the girls in the room with the bomb, it might become dangerous. So, they're going to throw the girls off by going to a different floor all together."
Eri tilted her head as Momo nodded.
"I think you're right. Though they have left the bomb unguarded, if they're able to stall for enough time...I think that's what they are planning. If they can pull it off, then it is a sound plan. But it also runs the risk of the girls finding the bomb and they aren't there to stop him."
"Risky..."
Tsuyu murmured, Katsuki glanced at Himiko, and Mina, seeing them speaking together, opting to lay her head on Keita's shoulder, hugging his arm as tightly as she could.
[Hey Mina-chan, I think for this battle, it would be best if we go with splitting them off. I doubt they're on the first floor, so they'd have to climb back up. Can you melt biggish holes, for the size of either of those boys?]
[Hmmm, I suppose I could. Why though?]
[Because for us to gain an advantage, I think my Quirk is going to be the best way for us to go about it. If we run into them before the bomb...then this would be the best way. And if we come at the bomb after...then it still would be the best way for us to go about it, we'd be able to drop them down long enough for us to grab the bomb.]
Momo's eyebrows raised when she heard that.
"She's finally going to use her Quirk...but, what is her Quirk?"
She asked Keita at the end, who gave a slight smile.
"I couldn't possibly reveal that right now."
Shoto gave him a questioning look.
"Why?"
"Because it would give it away. Himiko-chan said she's going to reveal it, you'll be...surprised at how good it is. It might not bring any power to it...but, for its potential in many areas, she is going to be able to use it in some good ways."
They only had more questions.
Tsuyu glanced at Keita, who was allowing Eri to play with his fingers, her smaller hands lightly poked his fingers, and she gave a cheerful smile, while Katsuki also saw Eri doing that, the corner of her lips grew ever so slightly. Even she wasn't immune to the cuteness that Eri displayed.
Himiko and Mina then began their operation, and shot through the building together.
They ran up and down the corridors, Kirishima waited with a tapping of his foot, while Shoji remained calm and collected.
Kirishima seemed to want to go and fight them straight on.
When Himiko and Mina got close, Shoji who had turned the pods on his arms into ears, heard them coming.
[They're coming now.]
[Good! I can't wait for the fight! I heard that Toga-san is someone that is pretty good and skilled. Maybe you should take on Ashido, her acid might be able to damage me if she keeps throwing it at me.]
[We don't know what Toga-sans Quirk is, we should stick together.]
[Yeah maybe we should…]
As he said it, Himiko turned towards Mina, and pointed to a place on the map.
[Okay, then you go and melt the floors below this one, a big enough hole for anyone to fall through. I'll go and distract them.]
[Are you sure you can?]
Himiko grinned.
[Yup, leave it to me~ Tell me when you're ready, and I'll be ready too~]
Mina nodded slowly, and then walked off, leaving Himiko alone.
She then took out one of her blades, twirling it around, while the others watched on.
"How skilled is she with a blade?"
Tsuyu asked Keita, who smiled.
"She's skilled enough to take down someone twice her size, and even with people that have strong Quirks. As long as she's able to move around freely, she's an unpredictable opponent. She might not have the power behind her attacks, but she's quick, agile, and skilled."
Tsuyu and the others were intrigued, seeing Mina shooting down the floors, until she reached the bottom floor. Because they could have set up traps, it was best that they went together until they came
Shoji could hear that Himiko was alone now, and wondered why that was.
What was she doing?
Though he wasn't sure it was Himiko, he knew one of the two girls were alone out there, and heard another's fleeting footsteps.
A minute or so later, Mina contacted her.
[Okay Himiko-chan...geez, I'm tired now...okay, I'm on the bottom floor. As I go up, I'll melt some of the stairs, so it would be harder for one of them to come back up.]
[Then I'm going for it.]
Himiko stepped forward, readying herself for the fight ahead.
Shoji noticed that Himiko came through the door, alone.
Himiko looked around, and couldn't see the bomb.
Intrigue came over her, and then she smirked.
[I see, I understand. This is a diversion, you've put the bomb somewhere else. How cute. Well, we'll find it eventually~]
Kirishima pushed his arms out, and activated his Quirk, as did Shoji who created four more hands, equally six all together, while Kirishima rushed forward first, Himiko giggled, and dashed at Kirishima.
She used her impressive agility to jump over Kirishima, using his body as a stepping stone as she flipped, taking out her knife, and stabbed towards a nonlethal area on his body, but Kirishima's hard body only allowed a scratch to appear on his skin, Himiko smirked at the sight.
[Seems like it's not gonna cut it, yet.]
Himiko saw Shoji coming in with a number of fists for her, so she took out some blades from the straps on her thighs, and tossed them with pinpoint accuracy for Shoji's hands, Shoji grimaced, and retracted his hands, but one managed to get a cut in it, Shoji wincing.
The others, besides Keita who already knew she'd do well, were stunned.
"D-Damn...and here I thought she'd be at a disadvantage."
Kaminari admitted, Keita smiled lightly.
"Underestimate her, and she'll use that to her advantage. She might look unassuming, but she's very deadly in her moves, her skills are sharp enough to fool most people. Plus...you'll soon see something that could even fool Sensei's if she truly wanted to."
Shoto gazed upon Keita, she couldn't believe that he was serious.
"Fool Sensei's?"
"Yes, she'd be able to if she had enough prep time. You'll see what I mean in a minute."
Shoto furrowed her brows, watching as Himiko avoided Shoji rushing at her, attempting to do a number of punches on her form. She then saw Kirishima coming up from behind her, so without missing a beat, she back flipped, using Kirishima's head for her to push off of with her hand, propelling her higher.
Tugging on the needles strapped to her machine, she launches two forward for Shoji as she landed on the ground, attempting to stab and get some blood out of him.
Kirishima though stepped into the way, his arms in an X shape, and blocked the sharp needles. Kirishima though could feel the sharpness, if he didn't have his Quirk activated, he'd definitely would have been pierced.
"Though she's not using a Quirk...her skills in combat are amazing." Momo praised, with Keita smiling, looking down to see Eri clapping her hands for Himiko. "I don't know what her Quirk is...but, whatever it does, she seems to be able to handle herself pretty well without it. Years of training I presume."
"She's trained with me under Sir Nighteye, helping her speed and accuracy, how to read a situation, things like that."
Keita informed as Eri raised her hands.
"Himiko-chan, I will cheer for you too!"
Keita smiled at the young girl, as Himiko retracted her needles attached to wires, and allowed them to go back into the machine on her back.
[So not fair, I was going to do something there.]
[Hehe, sorry about that! But, I have to admit, you're very skilled!]
Himiko looked coy at Kirishima's praise.
[Ooh that's nice of you~ You also seem to have a good handle on your Quirk!]
Himiko didn't allow them anytime to recover, and rushed them with high speeds. Some could be forgiven for thinking she had something that increased her speed, but she was merely running on her own built up speed from training.
She got towards Shoji in a few seconds, and her blade aimed for his right shoulder. His hands came around to try and wrap around her, allowing the pods to grow new ones, and then grow hands at the end of them.
Himiko saw it coming, so she twirled her knife around, slicing towards the middle of the pods, forcing Shoji to retract his pods, which allowed Himiko the time to embed her foot deeply into his face, and sent him skidding onto the ground.
But as she did, Kirishima got in close, and thrust his fist forward, hitting her upper body, and sent her down to the ground also.
Keita winced, but Himiko just continued to grin.
[Ooh my, your fist is really hard. Is anything else hard thanks to your Quirk?]
Kirishima's face burst into several shades of red as Keita let out a small chuckle.
[W-What?!]
Himiko, using his distraction to gain an advantage, launching a blade for his upper body, forcing him to block. But when he did, she got in close with her main knife, and sliced towards his body, scratching deeply into the hardened flesh he had, to the point that Himiko could see that he was bleeding ever so slightly.
[So, your Quirk does weaken, does it? That's interesting to know~]
Kirishima panted as Himiko allowed her knife to spin.
Shoji stood up, and got behind Himiko.
Himiko grinned, but then heard Mina coming in over the communications.
[I'm ready Himiko-chan.]
Himiko silently smiled, and giggled.
[Then, I guess it's time for us to begin again!]
Kirishima and Shoji seemed confused, as the floor began to melt from the right hand side. Himiko looked over, and saw it, so she rushed towards it, Kirishima followed after her, while Shoji called out [Wait!] but Kirishima paid no heed, and got in close with his fists.
Himiko thought he'd do that, so she jumped to the side, and took some knives she had, launching them at Shoji so she'd not be attacked, while Kirishima came at her once more with a straight punch, Himiko grimaced, and pointed her knife in the way of Kirishima's incoming fist.
He continued on, and his fist got a small cut across it, but his fist reached her, knocking her back.
The hole in the floor began bigger and bigger, as Himiko saw the hole was big enough now, so she jumped up, and rushed Kirishima, somersaulted over him. From behind, she came at him with her blade, pushing him further and further to the hole, until he came to the edge, where Mina tossed some acid for the place Kirishima stood, melting it, and dropped him down the hole.
[Aaah crap!]
Kirishima cried out as he fell a good number of stories, thanks to his Quirk he wasn't that damaged by the fall.
Mina then rushed back up the stairs, as Shoji saw Himiko walking closer.
"Ooh, seems like they managed to take down Kirishima-san."
Keita smiled at Momo's observations, while he himself was rather proud of how far Himiko had come and showing her ability to work with others in unique ways.
Upon arriving, Mina stood beside Himiko, as Shoji looked between them.
His face scrunched together.
Seeing how they were together...he wasn't able to win.
[Even if I can't win…]
Shoji lunged forward, so Mina took her acid, and threw some of it forward, Shoji dodged out of the way, but Himiko got in close, her knife cutting his right hand side, he grimaced as she twirled around, kneeing him in the chest.
He pulled back, seeing Mina skating forward, allowing her acid to aid in her movements.
Getting in close, she tightened her fist, and thrusted it up for his chin.
Some hands came out, and blocked her attacks, but she secreted acid from her hands, and allowed it to run down her arms, stopping her from being caught for too long, or risk him having his hands melted by her Quirk.
[Good work Mina-chan! Lets capture him!]
Himiko and Mina worked together, with Mina shooting off some acid for Shoji up close, forcing him to dodge, but because of the battle with Himiko and now Mina along with some damage that he had suffered, he was beginning to become fatigued.
But that allowed Himiko to get in close, slicing his shoulder, causing him to wince, as she tripped him over, Mina rushed forward also, and got on top of Shoji.
He attempted to use his arms to grab the girls, but Mina grabbed his hands, and said [I'll use my Quirk sweetie~] which stopped him, as Himiko used the binding tape, taking Shoji out of the game.
Once he was, Himiko took out a syringe, and placed it to the wound on Shoji's shoulder, sucking out some of the blood for her to use, a good amount for her to fully use her Quirk as Mina took out his ear piece in case Kirishima tried to contact him.
"Wait...why is she taking his blood?"
Katsuki finally spoke up, Momo nodding.
"Does it have something to do with the activation of her Quirk?"
Keita chortled.
"That's right, you're about to see it in action."
Momo and the others watch as Himiko takes enough blood, and drinks it.
Then, the transformation begins.
Her body, and her clothes, even her shoes, change into that of Shoji, mimicking his face, his arms, his eyes, everything that Shoji was, Himiko had become, Mina's mouth dropped, as did the others, all saying things like "She can transform into people?!" and "That's so cool!" among other things like that.
Keita was glad that people were quite receptive to Himiko's Quirk in action.
[Damn, didn't know you could do that Himiko-chan~]
[Yup, now it's time to hide this bad boy, and make it look like you're tied up, to make it more believable that 'Himiko' got away and you got captured~]
Keita thought that was pretty smart.
Since the bomb wasn't there, they didn't know where it was, and the building was big, they didn't have time to search for all of it, they only had a few minutes left.
Kirishima came bursting through the door just after a minute later, seeing a disguised Himiko panting, with Mina being loosely tied up, so she could get out of the binds whenever she wants.
[Shoji! Where is she?]
[I was fighting off Ashido-san here, when that girl Toga-san, took off. I just managed to take her down, when you came in. Kirishima-san, we need to get to the bomb before she does. If she does, then we've lost the match!]
[Right, lets go! Use your Quirk to make more ears to keep track if someone follows us! Or if you can hear her up where the bomb is!]
[Yes, leave it to me Kirishima-san.]
Kirishima took off with Himiko following behind.
Mina also got up, and began running off after them, keeping back a good distance as she did so she wasn't spotted, just in case that Himiko needed some back up, but hopefully Kirishima wouldn't see through the transformation.
They ran down the corridor, and to a set of stairs, going up them at a good speed.
Himiko barely could contain the grin as she made it up the stairs as well, with Keita smiling.
"She's good at posing as other people, she's able to pick up on subtle things people do. Like if someone plays with their hair, or if they twitch a certain amount of times. Given enough time, she can study and truly turn into someone so even others that know them would be surprised to learn who it really was. So for people like Kirishima-kun who doesn't know Shoji-san that well, it seems to be working a good deal."
Momo could only nod, seeing it in action, she was quite happy.
They got to the place where the bomb was, Kirishima exhaled slowly.
[Seems like she hasn't gotten here.]
[No one followed us Kirishima-san, we should be safe.]
Kirishima took a relaxing breath as Himiko diverted his attention from the door.
[That's good. Still, that Toga-san is quite skilled huh.]
[She is, I'm glad she retreated before you came.] Kirishima murmured, turning to Himiko. [I wonder why she didn't take you down though…? If it was the pair of them…]
Himiko's face didn't change, though inside she did feel a bit...worried.
[She might have realized the time, we don't have long before the game ends.]
[Good point man, lets make sure she doesn't get the bomb.]
Himiko slowly nods, turning Kirishima around so he wasn't facing the door.
[I'll keep an ear on the ground, lets make sure she's not in here to get the drop on us or something. Or she'd free that girl...Ashido-san, and melt a hole in the ground like last time. I wish I could have used the tape to bind her, but she melted through it.]
[Damn, Ashido's Quirk can be dangerous. But yeah, that's good thinking. I'll watch the door, your ears are better for listening further away.]
[Right.]
While Kirishima's eyes were on the door, Himiko merely walked to the bomb.
Allowing her Quirk to deactivate, the grey liquid came off of her, revealing her usual form.
She then went to the bomb, and giggled, a very girly giggle, drawing Kirishima's eyes, who's face turned pale at the sight.
[W-Wait, what in the hell?!]
Kirishima ran forward, but Himiko hugged the bomb, ending the match.
[Sorry, seems like you guys lost~ In power, you're strong, but it isn't always about brute power~]
Kirishima's face fell as Mina shot into the room, passing the bewildered Kirishima, and hugged Himiko tightly as All Might made the announcement.
"Once more, it seems that the Hero Team have made a strong victory! This time, it was through using their tricks, and playing to one another's strengths, it seems that you two also had good team work like the last match! Well done!"
Himiko and Mina jump up and down happily together, while Keita claps as does Eri.
"Well done Himiko-chan, Mina-san~"
"Kei-chan, they did it, they won~"
"They surely did~"
Katsuki looked at Himiko, and saw that while she didn't have the power...even she was able to overcome the fights, and win the match using her mind, again witnessing it after seeing it with Keita and Tsuyu, seeing how their matches played out.
The battle trials came to an end shortly after with the others doing their tests, inspired by the likes of Keita's team and Himiko's team to work hard together.
By the end of the day, Keita saw that Eri was yawning as he carried her down the corridor. Himiko had gone on ahead, it seemed that she was going to be spending time with some of her new friends, while Keita himself was going to head back home.
He wished Himiko a good time, he was glad that she was able to make friends.
"Come on Eri-chan, lets get on home, okay?"
"Okay Kei-chan..." She yawned once more, curling up to Keita sweetly. "Kei-chan...I knew you could win..."
"Hehe, it seemed to be a bit touch and go there for a minute or so~"
Eri cocked her head in an adorable manner.
"Why?"
"Lets just say, Tokoyami-kun's power seems to be more amazing than some might think it is. If it had gone on a little longer, I don't know how strong he'd become." As he said it, Tokoyami himself came walking up. "Ooh, speaking of. Hello Tokoyami-san, something going on?"
Tokoyami's eyes shifted from left to right.
He wasn't the one who usually spoke to many people.
He was rather, reserved so he found it difficult.
"About what happened before...in the exams. I thought I'd have it under control..."
"Ooh, you're talking about your Quirk. I guess...it grows stronger in darkness?"
"Right, I've handled something like that before...but Dark Shadow this time seemed a bit more...wild than I had anticipated. I'm sorry for causing any inconvenience. Though, I am surprised...you kept Dark Shadow bound, when in that state, usually only light can stop Dark Shadow, but you held it down with your power."
Keita gave a light chuckle to the confusion of Tokoyami.
"Ooh, I just tried my hardest, that's all~ But you were worried about what happened with Dark Shadow?" Tokoyami didn't admit either yes or no. "It's alright, don't worry about it. I understand, your powers just went out of control a bit. It wasn't anything too serious."
"I see...then I worried for nothing. I am sorry to have bothered you."
"You didn't bother me. I'm glad to have seen you, I just wanted to say, your power is pretty strong. Dark Shadow in darkness has great strength. In true darkness, I'd wonder how powerful it could become, and wouldn't mind having a fight against it one day."
Tokoyami's eyes widened ever so slightly.
It was almost unheard of for someone to want something like that.
"May I ask, why you'd want that?"
"Well, I liked the challenge, and fighting during that match, I felt as if we'd have an incredible battle one day."
Tokoyami gave an intrigued stare, before placing his hands in his pockets.
"Perhaps my darkness could fight against your light."
"My light and your darkness, it would be an epic battle~"
Keita mimicked the tone that Tokoyami used, but more light hearted.
Tokoyami slowly nod, bid his farewell, and took off.
Eri turns her eyes up to Keita.
"He speaks funnily Kei-chan."
"Yes, but he's a good person, I can see it in his eyes~"
Eri seemed more perplexed, as Keita got a message.
Looking he saw it was Katsuki, asking him to meet her outside.
"Come on Eri-chan, time to see Kacchan~"
"Yay, Kacchan. I hope she's doing better...she looked sad before."
"Yeah...Kacchan's just going through some realizations, that's all." Eri seemed perplexed, so Keita petted her head. "We'll support her, wont we Eri-chan?"
"Yes, I like Kacchan, and want to support her too."
"Great! Then hold on, because I'm gonna run!"
"Yes, run Kei-chan!"
Laughing together, Keita shot down the corridor, allowing Eri to experience quite a happy end to the day.
Meanwhile Katsuki went outside, and was seemingly waiting for Keita to arrive. She didn't want to talk to anyone else, other than Keita himself. It seemed that he understood something. He hadn't said anything...but the way that he looked at her, how he acted…
It seemed as if he was acutely aware of her feelings.
She waited for a few minutes, but then...
Izuku came up towards her, rushing out of the school building.
She didn't look thrilled with seeing him.
"Kacchan..."
"What do you want now?"
She spat out with annoyance, causing Izuku to flinch.
Izuku watched on, as Katsuki gave him a death glare.
Fidgeting in place, he wanted to say something, anything about what had happened during that day.
Keita and Eri came out of the school building together, seeing the pair standing off.
Keita murmured "This could be bad." and began walking rapidly closer, becoming within hearing range within moments.
"...I have to tell you something Kacchan, something about me...maybe that will explain what's been going on. I...I haven't been hiding my Quirk from you."
Keita paused.
What was Izuku saying…?
Keita became intrigued and walked forward as quietly as he could.
"It was, given to me by someone else. Recently." Katsuki narrowed her eyes at him, making him flinch even more, while Keita raised an eyebrow. "B-But, I can't tell you where I got it from, so please don't ask me. Sounds crazy, I know. The thing is, I don't really have any control over this power..."
Keita furrowed his brows.
From he said, and how Keita thought about it, it seemed that Keita's thoughts might have been right.
Keita felt a presence behind him, and saw All Might stood there when looking, his eyebrows furrowing at the sight.
Izuku then continued.
"That's why, I didn't want to use it in the exercise...b-but, in the end, that's the only way I had a chance of winning." Katsuki began shaking angrily. Her body was getting hotter with rage. "I still have a lot to learn Kacchan...I know that...that's why I am here." Katsuki was close to boiling point at this time, she couldn't contain her anger for much longer. "You see...I'll work until I have full control over this Quirk. And I'll finally beat you with my own power!"
Katsuki just glared at him, while Keita looked back to All Might.
Seeing how All Might's eyes had changed...it was evident to Keita at least what was happening.
Since growing up in the Shie Hassaikai, he had managed to learn to read peoples expressions pretty well. Like he did with his brother, seeing what kind of mood he would be in during that particular day, even when his face didn't reveal anything, his eyes couldn't hide it.
And right now, All Might's eyes couldn't hide what his face didn't portray at all.
"...Okay, so...did he get it off All Might? The level of power he displayed, the way All Might looked at him during the trial, and even now, when Izuku-kun is letting out this...I guess secret. It makes sense...but, one thing doesn't...how did he get it off All Might? Was it like how my brother did it? Or, is it another way? Either way, while I'm not completely sure, the puzzle pieces are fitting together quite well. But, since Izuku-kun's saying this...I wont tell anyone, it must be a secret if Izuku-kun wont tell where he got it...however, Sir Nighteye...he must know if All Might did this...maybe this is why he didn't seem to like Izuku-kun...because he didn't want him to have the power? Aah, so many questions...I should speak to Sir Nighteye-san about it."
While Keita was figuring it out, Katsuki couldn't believe Izuku.
She thought that he was saying it to simply placate her.
She couldn't accept it was anything other than that.
"How dumb do you think I am? Borrowed power? Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot. You already made a damn fool out of me in that damn training exercise. So, come to rub it in? And what's worse? I lost to you!" Despite her being angry, Keita could see the realization coming over Katsuki about what had happened during that day. "Enjoy your win Deku! I'm just getting started! I'll defeat you, and all of them here! I'm going to end up the number one Hero, no matter what! You'll never beat me again!"
Keita, seeing the situation playing out, walked forward, and placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder, causing him to jump.
"K-Keita-kun!"
"Are you alright Izuku-kun? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Ehehehehe...w-what did you hear?"
Keita continued to smile, not giving anything away.
"I came to meet up with Kacchan, are you finished?"
"Eh...yes, I think so..." His eyes went towards Katsuki's who glared hard. "I-I have to go..." Izuku turns back to Keita, and bows. "G-Good night Keita-kun, Eri-san."
"Yes, good night~"
"Good night."
Keita and Eri waved, so Izuku quickly walked off.
Keita noticed that Izuku looked nervous as he did.
Probably because of how he spilled out his thoughts.
Keita then walked over to Katsuki, allowing his hand to slide across her cheek.
"Wanna come home with me?"
Katsuki's face didn't change, but she wrapped her arms around his own.
"Fine, I'll come with you."
"Great! Eri-chan, I'm gonna cook us something good~"
"With your home made chocolate ice cream Kei-chan?"
"Haha, right~ With my ice cream~ But then, it's bath and then bedtime story~"
"Yes Kei-chan."
With that, the three of them walked off together, All Might looked towards Keita.
Seeing his face...he wondered had Keita figured out their secret?
Katsuki seemed to be in disbelief.
But Keita…
He seemed to have figured something out.
He wanted to know, but he didn't know how to approach that situation.
Keita and the others went home, and had some food Keita cooked up. Katsuki stayed mostly quiet during the entire time that they had been eating, and only held onto his hand while her eyes stayed onto the table.
Keita also got a message from Sir Nighteye saying that he'd be late that night, so some Hero's would stay outside of the house and give protection just in case. Though Keita wanted to ask him about All Might, he wanted to do it face to face, so he chose to do it when they had the chance to be alone.
Himiko also came back a short time into the dinner, and ate with them happily.
Still, Katsuki didn't say anything, something that worried Keita.
Soon, Eri had a bath, and then Keita plus the others hung around for a few hours before it was time for bed.
Keita read her a story, and by the time that it was late, Keita smiled down at the young girl.
"Kei-chan...I'm sorry...I keep being..."
"Eri-chan..." He cut her off, knowing what she was going to say. "Don't worry, everyone's okay with you coming. Heck, it seems that you've got a bit of a fan following in my class, I know all the girls find you rather cute. Even Shoto-san seems to like you from what I can tell."
"Hehe..."
She let out an adorable laugh, something that warmed Keita's heart immensely.
He then lightly petted her head.
"Good night Eri-chan, I'll be right next door if you need anything."
"Good night Kei-chan." Keita smiled, and pulled to the door. "Kei-chan..."
Keita turned back.
"Yes?"
"Kei-chan...I thought you were cool today."
"Haha, I was cool huh? Then, I'm happy~"
Keita smiled out, and walked away, leaving Eri to get some rest.
Keita then walked off to his bedroom, and entered, seeing Katsuki already laying on his bed.
Her eyes just stared at him, as if she had many thoughts in her mind, Keita himself smiled, and walked closer to the young woman.
"Should I walk you home Kacchan?"
"No, I asked my parents if I could stay here tonight. Also told them to contact that Sir Nighteye of yours, and he said it was fine. He trusted you apparently."
"Hehe, that sounds like Sir Nighteye-san." Keita walked over to the bed. "So, you're gonna stay in my room?"
"Damn straight I am." She retorted, allowing her shirt to come off, revealing her quite modest sized chest to Keita's eyes, his face turning slightly red, something that she noticed. "Your face, you're blushing. Well, I sleep like this so I'm not changing that for you!"
"Right~" Keita got onto the bed, his shirt fully come off, getting onto the bed beside her. "Kacchan, about today..."
"I don't want to talk about that...damn Deku..."
Keita brought his hand towards her face, and gently stroked her face, drawing him to her.
"I know what you're feeling, when your world comes to a grinding halt. Everything you thought you knew, is turned on its head. It happened to me when I was...quite young, and it caused me great confusion, it made me question what I had known until then."
"Kei..."
Keita allowed his arms to wrap around her, bringing her closer to his body.
Her head laid against his chest, breathing in smoothly, her fingers tracing the edges of Keita's torso.
"You know, it's alright to feel unsure. But, Izuku-kun isn't a bad guy. If anything, doesn't this give you a bigger reason to become even stronger?" Katsuki cocks her head curiously as Keita smiles gently. "From what he said, if anything, him wanting to defeat you means he must respect your abilities greatly."
Katsuki's eyebrows furrowed.
What Keita said did make sense.
But there was a burning question in her mind.
"Kei...when you saw him today, you must have been surprised."
"I was surprised. But, it didn't make me angry. Actually, it made me want to see how strong he was, and maybe have a good fight against him~" Keita petted the back of Katsuki's head, drawing a smile to the young woman's face. "My cute Kacchan, use this experience as a learning curve, and grow stronger from it."
His words, made sense to her.
She could feel good inside of her chest.
He knew what to say when she was feeling down or angry.
"Heh...so, you want to fight the damn nerd?"
"Sure, why not? I'll fight him~"
Katsuki just continued to be amazed.
Keita was handling it pretty well.
Perhaps he could just let it roll off of her without being bothered by it at all.
"And...what else happened today, with you and...other people."
"Everyone seems really good huh. Shoto-san's power is great, Momo-san's mind is amazing to see, Tokoyami-san surprised me with his strength, Himiko-chan's skills are no laughing matter, and I could go on about our classmates, they're all there for a reason~" Keita's fingers gently brushed her face, bringing it to meet his own. "But, we're also there for a reason. I don't know about you Kacchan, but I want to become strong. Seeing everyone today, has only inspired me more to become even stronger."
Katsuki's face grew into a smirk, moving up, so she ended up straddling his hips, her arms around his neck, one of her hands placed itself on the right side of his face, gently stroking it in an affectionate manner.
"Kei...heh, I'm glad that I know you. You seem to understand quite a bit about me..."
"It's just because I've gotten to know you quite well~ Besides, I'm always in your corner Kacchan~ I'll always support you, like you've supported me...it's thanks to you that I was able to...begin understanding much about this world."
"When you speak like that, you sound as if you hadn't before we met." Keita's eyes averted, drawing confusion to Katsuki. "Kei...before we met..."
"I can't talk about that...it's still an ongoing investigation."
"I see...but you know, I've seen those scars on your arms before...did they do that?"
Keita didn't see why he couldn't say where he got them, so he inclined his neck.
"Yes."
"Why?" Keita looked left and right, Katsuki released a small breath. "Right, can't tell me."
"I wish I could, but right now I can't. When I can, I will. I promise. Just remember Kacchan, whatever happens, I'll always be there for you, like you are for me."
That made Katsuki blush ever so slightly.
His gentle and sweet words.
"Thanks...Kei."
"No problem~ Now, want to cuddle~"
Katsuki's lips tugged upwards.
So much so that she ended up collapsing against his chest, and hugged him as he hugged her back.
Soon, the pair fell asleep in one another's arms.
An unspoken affection between them was rather comforting.
Though Keita wanted to explain more about his past, until Kai was caught, or if Katsuki found out, he knew he couldn't, Sir Nighteye knew it had to be kept as quiet as possible, though Keita did trust Katsuki quite a bit, and wondered if he should ask Sir Nighteye about if he could reveal stuff to Katsuki.
Sir Nighteye meanwhile was in the office, and was going over a few reports, looking over some reports about missing Hero's. While he did, Ryukyu came into his office, Sir Nighteye's eyes meeting with her own.
"Ryukyu-san, is there something..."
"Another one, a missing Hero."
Sir Nighteye furrowed his brows.
"Damn..."
"But, it's mostly Hero's that aren't well known, that guard specific areas."
"And so far, none of the areas seem connected either."
Sir Nighteye sighed out.
Ryukyu shifted uncomfortable.
"Do you think it's him…?"
"Kai Chisaki you mean?"
Ryukyu didn't want to say it.
But she was also worried about Keita.
If something was happening with Kai...then no doubt he'd go for Keita sooner or later.
"He wouldn't give up, and we haven't found any leads in all this time. He could be capturing Hero's… and doing what he did with Keita-kun's Quirk..."
"Making new Quirks...but, why would he choose these Hero's…? They aren't particularly well known for power...either way, we can't rule out the possibility that Kai Chisaki is making plans. That's why, we should also remain on guard, and make sure that Keita, Eri and Himiko-san are protected as much as we can."
"Yes...lets make sure he doesn't get his hands on Keita-kun and the others again."
Sir Nighteye didn't like the sound of what was happening.
Though they had rescued Keita...Kai could still have the ability to use Keita's Quirk somehow.
He had experimented on Keita for years, there was no telling how much blood of Keita's he truly had, and what he was doing with these Hero's, if Kai was involved, and something deep inside of him, told Sir Nighteye that Kai most likely was either involved, or was going to use the opportunity to spread doubt within Hero's, and inspire Villains, all so he could get Keita back.

So, the Battle Trials are over with Keita and Tsuyu taking on Tokoyami and Sero, managing to overcome the pair with their teamwork. Himiko and Mina also took on Kirishima and Shoji, Himiko revealed her Quirk for the first time to the others. Eri cheered on Keita no matter what anyone else thought, she had faith in him.
Keita and Eri had a moment together, and Keita spoke to Tokoyami briefly, seemingly becoming better friends in the process.
Keita also worked out the secret of One For All, at least to the point he believes All Might passed it onto Izuku somehow, he doesn't know all the details, but he's working it out.
At the end, Katsuki and Keita had a bonding moment between them and Sir Nighteye's aware of more Hero's disappearing, possibly due to Kai.
