Silver crow; Thanks! Yup, Mirko's helping Keita in his training and doing her best to make him strong! It's a weakness that it would take more power than if the ground was in a regular normal shape, not that it would be impossible for Keita to manipulate, it would just be a bit more difficult. Himiko's getting some training of her own in~ Well, he might give out powers, he isn't sure yet. He can somewhat keep up with the speed. Ryukyu is quite the shy and humble person. He does yeah, he cares a lot for Sir Nighteye. That's Nejire for you~ Tsuyu and Himiko have a good friendship~ He did yeah, he supported Momo when she needed it. Izuku probably couldn't. When he needs to he will. She surely did yeah~

Well, with the reviews out of the way, it's time to start the chapter!
The Obstacle Race!
It was time for the Sports Festival to begin, and Class 1A headed out onto the field. Keita looked rather relaxed, wondering what they'd be doing for the first part of the Sports Festival. He hoped that it would be rather entertaining.
When walking onto the sports field, he saw that there were many people surrounding it. So many people had come and were now watching them. He saw that the other classes also had attended. Class 1B, 1C and so on and so forth.
He didn't know all of them of course, but he did recognize a few people, one being Shinso who kept his eyes on Class 1A, it seemed that he truly was determined to do whatever was necessary for him to be able to continue on.
He also saw Neito who was giving him dark eyes, but Keita ignored him for the moment, instead focusing in on the days events.
Keita looked through the sea of people, trying to find anyone that he recognized.
Mainly, he was looking for Sir Nighteye, and the others…
"YAHOO! POWER KEITA-KUN! GO FORWARD, AND SHOW THEM YOUR POWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!"
He heard Mirio's voice calling out.
He felt awkwardly embarrassed, knowing that there were a number of eyes turning towards him.
Not just from his class, but from others as well.
Keita though hummed, trying to keep his head in the game.
His eyes did drift over to where Mirio was, and saw that he was with Nejire, and Sir Nighteye. Even Eri was there, and while he couldn't hear her voice as well, he could see that she was waving her arms up and down.
He smiled towards her, wondering if she could see him or not.
Though he presumed she probably couldn't, but he was alright with that.
He was going to try his best, and make Eri happy this day. He'd try and win the Sports Festival.
Eri herself looked towards Keita, and smiled gently.
"Kei-chan...he's going to be doing amazing stuff..."
"That's right sweetie~ He's going to be trying his best. Just watch him~"
Nejire replied with a large grin on her face.
But then as he was thinking about what was going to happen, fireworks exploded in the sky, drawing his attention.
He then saw that Midnight, the Hero that was rather seductive, and had an outfit on that surprised Keita he was allowed to have. He also saw that she had a whip in her hand, he didn't even know what she was going to do with that.
Keita's eyes went towards Katsuki, and smiled.
"Kacchan, it seems that we'll also be competing against one another, huh~?"
"Seems so. I'll have to show you my powers and kick your ass."
"You can certainly try Kacchan, but I wont go down without a fight."
Katsuki liked that he was ready and willing to fight.
Himiko swayed side to side, Katsuki noticing that she had some vials on her, filled with some blood.
"Vampire, you stealing blood again?"
"It's just how my Quirk works."
"But, what's it going to do here? Have you learned to control others powers?"
Himiko showed a smirk on her face.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see, wont we Kacchan? This is also a battle for Kei-chan's heart, so why don't we try our best here?"
Katsuki showed a challenging smile back, while Himiko licked her lips in anticipation.
As that went down, Mirko managed to arrive, and found Sir Nighteye. Her legs stretched, and she hopped towards them, but as she did, she noticed that Ryukyu was stood nearby, seemingly keeping in the shadows.
Not missing this chance, she walked over.
"Hey Ryukyu!"
Ryukyu paused, her eyes heading towards Mirko, and then she gave a mildly surprised look.
"So, you're going to watch?"
"Yeah, ready to support...but, aah! I can't see much from the stands. There's got to be a better place for us to see..."
Ryukyu shrugged.
"I don't know about that, but I'm sure that we'll be able to see on the monitors."
"See on the monitors..." Mirko mimicked, her eyes heading for the presenters location. "That just gave me an idea. I'm going up there, see you later."
"Eh..."
Ryukyu didn't know what was going on.
But she watched Mirko happily bounce off to her great embarrassment.
Instead, she just went to go and find somewhere for her to sit.
Meanwhile, as that was going on, Kai Chisaki was sat within the living room and currently had the television on. He knew that this day was the Sports Festival, and he was hoping to catch glimpses of his brother in action, knowing that he'd be participating.
Rappa also was in the room, and watched with keen eyes.
Chronostasis was also sat in the living room, and remembered how Kai had Overhauled him, how he had to go through that. He also thought that Keita went through that every day, he didn't honestly know how Keita managed to pull that off, as to him at least, it would have driven him insane to suffer that amount of pain.
"Come on, I don't want to see these kids, show me my brother..."
Kai murmured to himself.
Rappa was just intrigued to see if Keita was going to participate in the games, and if he was going to do well.
No, he knew that Keita would do well, and he couldn't wait to see it.
As the camera panned over the students, Kai's eyes spotted Keita, and his lips rose ever so slightly.
"So he is competing. I have no doubt that he's going to become the champion."
It would have been nice to hear Kai say that, if he wasn't such an evil person and had done horrible things to his little brother, Rappa thought.
Now he would have to watch together with Kai, while he was silently cheering for the boy to win the tournament.
Back in the sports field, Keita and the others waited for the presenters to begin speaking.
But then was surprised when they heard what happened next.
[Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand! Now! For all you've been waiting...w-wait, what are you doing here?]
Present Mic finished at the end, as Mirko came bursting into the room.
Her eyes went for the mic, and she casually grabbed it, ignoring the complaints from Present Mic.
[Hello everyone! It's me, the Rabbit Hero Mirko speaking!] Keita's eyes widened as did the others. [It seems you've got yourself a guest presenter today! So, good for me and you! Yo Sir Nighteye, come into this area with that little darling, you can see a lot better over here!]
Eri smiled lightly, and turned to Sir Nighteye who sighed, trying to draw the least amount of attention to himself.
Nejire then giggled out "I'll take her~" and ran off together with Eri.
[W-Wait, you're really going to sit in here?]
Present Mic asked, Mirko grinned.
[That's right, got a problem with that?]
Present Mic paled, shaking his head side to side, not wanting to anger the beautiful young woman.
[N-No! That's fine! The more the merrier is what I always say!]
Aizawa, who was sat down nearby, gave an incredulous look, he couldn't remember a time when Present Mic had said that, at least said it while looking worried about what the other person was going to do.
[Can we get on with it now?]
Aizawa yawned out, Mirko snickered.
[Time to wake up Aizawa, because you're about to see my number one pupil about to kick some major butt! It's time to win Keita! Don't let them grind you down! You have to push beyond your limits, and destroy the competition!]
Keita's face began turning red at what she was saying.
It was rather embarrassing yet endearing at the same time.
He truly didn't know which one he was supposed to be settling on at all.
He exhaled, and inhaled slowly, trying to come to a good conclusion within his mind, while feeling eyes on him.
"Wait, he's being mentored by the Rabbit Hero?"
A Class 1C student spoke, then Neito's face paled.
"Y-You've got to be kidding me! T-The Rabbit Hero's supporting him too?! Aaaah! I don't know how we're supposed to win! You can't let anything happen like this! No, I simply refuse to believe that this is happening!"
Keita placed a hand on his forehead, while Tsuyu smiles.
"It seems that Keita-chan has a few good supporters out there."
Keita looked towards Tsuyu who gave a knowing look towards him.
But then Midnight stepped forward onto a stage that was before them all. Her eyes went over the students, while the males in the crowd went wild, even some women were going wild over the appearance of Midnight.
"The R Rated Hero Midnight...no wonder with an outfit like that huh. Maybe someone should tell her not to wear something like that to school, hey Chisaki?"
Kirishima murmured to Keita who cocked his head.
"I guess so, I'm surprised she's got a whip in her hands."
Midnight smacked her lips together, and turned her eyes onto the crowd of students.
"Silence everyone! And for the student pledge, we've got the student that scored the most on the Entrance Exam, the current President of Class 1A, and that's Keita Chisaki!"
Keita blinked.
He...wasn't expecting anything like this.
"Wait...there's a student pledge? I wasn't told about this..."
"Get on the stage so we can get this over with Kei."
Katsuki pushed Keita forward, the boy blinked a number of times, before exhaling and going forward.
Walking onto the stage, his eyes cast over every student, and person in the stadium.
He stayed silent, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to say.
"Okay...erm..."
Keita tried to speak.
But he hadn't ever done anything like this before.
Being locked away for so long, he wasn't used to large crowds.
Even more so now that he knew that many people were watching him.
Midnight, cooed at the sight, and placed a hand on top of his head.
"You're so adorable~ Don't worry, you just say what you think is best, okay?"
Keita slowly nods, Sir Nighteye could see how this would be troubling for him.
Even he didn't expect anything like this to happen.
He didn't think Keita would be asked to give any speeches.
Keita exhaled slowly, readying himself for the speech he was going to give.
He then grabbed the mic that was before him, and began speaking into it.
"Okay...yes! Hello everyone, my name is Keita Chisaki, and I'd like to say that I hope everyone, from every class gives it their all today, and whatever you achieve, you should be proud, knowing that you didn't do anything other than your best. But also remember, that this is also about having fun. It is very serious, and will help our future careers, but let us also remember to enjoy our time together, and experience this wonderful Sports Festival to the utmost. Thank you."
That's all Keita could think to say.
He could see that most of the people were stunned for a few moments.
But then the crowd erupted into applause for the young boy, and clapped hard for him. Even Sir Nighteye was clapping rather fast, and hard, as was Ryukyu who smiled out "Yes, that's the important thing Keita-kun. Have fun." knowing of his past experiences as of late, and hoped that he'd be able to find some enjoyment of that day.
Even the other students were caught off guard, people like Itsuka and Ibara began clapping, while Katsuki was glad he said something like that, and also clapped, while Himiko cheered "Yahoo! That's right Kei-chan!" as she waved up and down.
Shoto was captivated by his voice, his tone, his kindness.
They all seemed to be mixing together, and blending together as one.
It was...fantastic to see that happening, that's what she thought anyway.
Someone that was able to continue despite everything they had gone through.
It also made it hard for her to see him as an enemy in this.
Because he was probably the only person at the school that understood her so well.
Mirko smirked from her seat, as Eri clapped her hands.
[Yes Kei-chan, that's right!]
[Aaaah, he's just such a sweetie pie that I can't wait to cuddle him later on~]
Nejire cooed, as Mirio snickered.
Ryukyu turned to Sir Nighteye curiously.
"Aah, it seems that Keita-kun's going to be doing his best Sir Nighteye-san, are you pleased?"
Sir Nighteye didn't say anything.
But he held a small smile on his face.
Especially when he saw All Might in his weakened form sat near the front.
He was glad to see everything was going to be happening and how Keita was going to manage to win.
"Aah, well said Keita-kun! You may exit the stage now!"
"Thank you Midnight-sensei~"
Keita walked off the stage, and made his way to the class.
He saw Izuku, and he smiled in his direction.
Izuku also smiled, and gave an acknowledged smile.
"Now, with that out of the way, let us discover what challenge our contenders shall be facing in the first round!"
Midnight brought up a board with different challenges on them, and they spun around very fast.
Keita then saw that the board had stopped spinning, landing on a certain one.
"The Obstacle Race! That is what is going to be the first round! As long as it stays within the grounds of the race, anything is permitted! Quirk's and anything that has already been approved for this day! Everyone, please find your gate, it shall be beginning shortly!"
Midnight announced, Keita furrowed his brows before nodding to himself.
"So, we're going to have to run while doing challenges? That sounds pretty fun actually~"
Keita mused to himself, as he walked with the others to the gates.
Upon arriving there, Keita saw that Neito was looking towards him, and gave him the thumbs down. Keita rolled his eyes, he wasn't really that bothered that Neito wished to take him down, he saw it more as a challenge than anything else of the sort.
Neito then walked over to Ibara, and smiled.
"What do you want?"
Ibara asked, not really that interested.
Neito snickered.
"Hey I've got an idea, how about you use your vines to tie up Chisaki over there?"
"I shall do no such thing."
Neito almost collapses.
"W-What?!"
"It's because, he is someone that I consider to be a rather good person. I shall not use my vines for heinous acts. His Quirk also has the potential to give him the abilities to rewrite the world as we know it, I'd like to see that potential growing, not being hindered."
Neito felt like falling over with that.
He really wasn't pleased to hear that she was against it.
"Ooh, come on-"
"She said no Monoma." Itsuka said, walking over towards him. "How about instead trying to sabotage Keita-kun, you should focus on the situation before us?"
Neito gave a small pout, then huffed.
"I am focusing, I'm just making sure that the competition doesn't get in the way."
Itsuka sure it wasn't anything like that.
Neito then walked off, and spoke to some other Class 1B students. Mostly, they seemed to ignore him, but a few of them did seem to listen, and for one reason or another, seemed to be really into doing what Neito was saying.
Itsuka didn't like it, she wasn't sure what Neito's intentions were, but she wasn't going to have any of it, so she walked over to Keita, and stood beside him.
"Keita-kun, I feel as if Monoma is going to try something with you."
"How so?"
Keita wondered.
Itsuka wished she had the answer, and despite Neito being...quite an oddball, she knew that he wasn't stupid, and he'd be able to convince a few people to work against Keita, and that's something she didn't want to happen.
"Well, he just asked Ibara to try and tie you up. She refused, but it seems as if he's going through a few students in Class 1B to try and stop you. Not all of us are jerks like him, but a few might want to try something with you. Either for the challenge of it, to test their strength, because they're intrigued by you, things like that."
Keita was thankful for the warning.
"Itsuka-san, thank you for telling me. I'll be on guard. Just make sure you get through the race, okay? I wouldn't mind seeing you later on during the other challenges. I remember what you said, I'll be showing my cool sides today."
Itsuka's face began to turn slightly red.
She gave a slow, long nod, before moving away, thinking to herself "I really do like seeing this side of Keita-kun, he's going to be doing some interesting things." and glanced back at him, seeing his determined face, only making her even more excited to see what was going to happen next.
Keita looked towards Neito who was giving a scathing look back.
"He really takes this rivalry with our class dead seriously...but, if his intention is to do battle, then I shall not back down."
Keita thought to himself, prepared for anything that was to happen next.
Then, after waiting for a few minutes, the gates finally flood open, and immediately Keita saw a number of people trying to shoot in, but due to the size of the tunnel itself, they weren't able to move that much.
Keita then placed his hand on the ground, and it began to rumble.
The students paused, seeing the ground below them was also beginning to shift, and turn into something else.
"E-Eh? What's going on?"
One student said, while Keita exhaled, and as he did, the ground uprooted around them, and pushed them all to the sides, while leaving a direct path for Keita to run, but he didn't run, he used a pillar from the ground, a forever extending one that shot him forward like he was riding on a tidal wave in the ocean.
[Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeah! Go on Keita! Show them what's what!]
Mirko cheered from the presenters box, as Keita sailed across the hallway.
But as he was, a boy called Juzo smirked, and said "I don't think so." touching the pillar Keita was on, which suddenly began to turn into a liquid like state, Keita widened his eyes, and felt his feet sinking through it.
Himiko could see what was happening, and she scowled towards Neito.
But she also saw that Keita wasn't going to quit, neither did Katsuki.
"W-What the..."
"Hahahaha! You've been captured now!"
Neito laughed loud.
Keita blinked a few times, before seeing that he slipped through the earth pillar completely and thought he'd land on a hard surface, but saw that the ground underneath was also like what Juzo had made his pillar.
Keita furrowed his brows, before turning his body down, as if he was diving, Itsuka watched on.
She saw him dive head first into the substance, and disappeared under the ground.
"W-What is he doing…?"
Juzo didn't get it.
He thought that it was suicide to try something like that…
But then he saw that the mud like substance was beginning to twist, and turn around.
The softened ground soon became like a whirlpool, and began sucking in different people within it. But Keita made sure that they weren't hurt while doing it, and it continued for Juzo, who's eyes broadened with worry at the sight before him.
When Katsuki tried to explode over it, Keita used the mud to shoot up towards her, stopping her progression, and forced her to destroy the mud with highly concentrated explosions so it didn't get in her eyes.
"Heh, even now you're trying to stop me Kei! I wont let you!"
Katsuki concentrated her hands downwards, and shot off an explosive force.
But Keita used the mud to act as a barrier, causing the mud to explode all around him, and her, forcing her to land on the ground, but then saw the mud getting closer, so she used her explosive power to detonate it around her, saving her from being caught in it.
Keita turned his attention towards Juzo.
"It's time to be stopped by your own mud!"
Juzo's face paled, seeing the mud was twisting violently.
"N-No! Don't do that!"
Keita's controlled muddy like substance caught Juzo in it, then Keita manipulated it to shoot him towards a wall, as Keita came shooting out of the mud substance, flipping in the air, then placed his hand on the wall, controlling it to bend around Juzo's body, and trapped him within the wall, only enough for him to be trapped for a few moments.
Keita could have made it so Juzo wouldn't be able to escape, but Keita didn't want to jeopardize everyone's chances at having fun, besides he knew from Itsuka that it was Neito that was responsible for this so he was alright with doing it this way.
Trapping Juzo, his fearful eyes went to Keita, who smiled with a wink, before jumping backwards, brushing the ground and then shot off out of the hallway on an earth pillar, Neito's face turned pale white at the sight before him.
Himiko though came running past, and stuck out her tongue towards Neito.
"Sorry sweetie, it seems your alliance isn't gonna be working."
Neito growled, Itsuka smiled in relief, glad that Keita wasn't going to be stopped that easily.
[My! What seems like a friendly competition has turned into a fierce one! Trying to trap one of the contestants with their Quirk didn't work out for our mud maker! Yahoo! It seems that this festival is going to be full of excitement!]
Present Mic called through the speakers, Mirko chortled.
[As if someone trained by me is going to be beaten by mud! That's why Keita is going to show why this competition is going to be blown out of the water! That's right Keita! Don't let them win! Show them why you're strong!]
Mirko raised her voice and yelled, while Nejire smiled brightly.
[So far, it seems that things are going really strong. Eri-chan, want to comment?]
Eri tilted her head, then nodded.
[Yes...Kei-chan beat the mudman, and stopped Kacchan from getting ahead.]
Nejire cooed.
[That's so cute! Yes, he certainly did! Now lets see what happens next~]
Aizawa pondered why he was even there at this point since everyone else was speaking for him.
Keita, getting to the other side, began to run forward.
But as he did, he felt a chill coming from behind him, and turned to see that ice was shooting out of the hole. It was clearly Shoto who had shot the ice out, freezing a good number of people to the ground, along with the cold air blast that escaped out of the tunnel.
Keita also saw that Izuku nearly got frozen but managed to dodge out of the way the instant that it nearly touched him. He wore relief on his face, while Keita saw the ice had managed to freeze a fair few people.
Keita then saw that Shoto came running out of it, her eyes focused solely on Keita himself, with the ice spreading out further in order to keep Keita down.
But Keita didn't allow to freeze him.
As the ice got near, he touched the ground and caused it to erupt into pillars from down below the frozen ground, smashing apart the ice, and sent some pillars towards Shoto herself.
Shoto jumped left, avoiding one pillar, then used the ice to create a shield before another one could touch her body.
Shoto ran around the ice, and saw Keita making his retreat.
"Chisaki-kun!"
"Hehe, Shoto-chan! I'll see you later!"
Keita yelled, as Katsuki, using her explosions while Himiko grabbed the back of her shirt before she exploded and went along with her for the ride, Momo creating a large metal rod, and Aoyama using his Navel Laser to avoid the freezing.
Katsuki turned to Himiko, annoyed.
"Vampire! Get off!"
"All's fair in love and war!"
Himiko used her feet to push off of Katsuki's back, then twirled, landing on the ground with grace, before saluting Katsuki, and began running off.
Katsuki wasn't thrilled, and tried to fire an explosion at her, but as she was going to go off with it, Momo accidentally knocked into her, flinging her hands towards Neito, and set off the explosion, causing him to scream, and be hit with the explosion, sending him off into the distance.
"Aah well, that's fine with me."
Katsuki might not have gotten Himiko, but if it was Neito...she was alright with that.
Shoto herself was astonished that so many people in her class and others managed to not be frozen.
"I'm surprised, more people than I thought managed to avoid the freeze. Even from other classes." Her eyes went towards Keita who was pulling ahead, and adopted a smile. "Of course, you managed to avoid it as well Chisaki-kun, I shouldn't of expected anything different from you."
"That's because I don't intend to lose here. This is still a competition, isn't it? This is the time to have fun and be serious Shoto-chan. It's going to be fun~"
Shoto was mildly surprised.
But ultimately, she seemed content to hear Keita say something like that.
Izuku and some of the other students had to use their cautious feet. But Katsuki could use her explosions to propel her forward, Mina jumped upwards, and used her acid to slide across the ice, and others did what they could.
Himiko wasn't really bothered by the ice, as she seemed to be able to skate across it like Mina, although without the acid, showing her skills at adaptability, she also saw that Tsuyu was using her tongue to wrap around objects around the track, pulling herself along with a strong pull.
Mineta however was a surprise, as he threw his balls onto the ground, and because they stuck to anything, and yet he didn't get stuck to them, and with his small stature, he was able to jump onto them like stepping stones, and jumped forward.
"Hahahaha! I'm going to beat you two in this! I wont let you win!"
Keita and Shoto turned to see that Mineta was coming closer, and aimed a ball for Keita.
Keita though simply tapped the ground, and caused a thin pillar to come up, hooking the back of Mineta's shirt while Shoto ran her ice across it, allowing it to freeze Mineta to said ice to stop him in place for a little while.
"I feel like the girls will thank us for stopping you."
Keita murmured, Jiro smirked.
"We do thank you!"
Jiro called out from behind Mineta, having heard Keita somehow, he presumed due to her Earphone Jack.
Shoto gave an intrigued look, before turning back to Keita.
"I wont allow him to get in the way."
"Yeah, but did you need to freeze him?"
"He deserves it."
Shoto said with a tone almost as cold as her ice, it seemed that she didn't appreciate Mineta and his antics.
[Seriously! These kids have quite the attitude for battle! They haven't even come up against the first obstacle yet, and they're battling it out! I'm happy! But Keita, remember to keep pushing forward! Don't let them stop you!]
Mirko cheered, showing her excitement.
Eri also cheered for Keita to win.
[Kei-chan! Be careful!]
Eri's words inspired Keita to continue forward.
Keita and the others following him continued running towards the end of the race.
But then suddenly, a robot...a Zero pointer from the Entrance Exam came zooming in. The large fist of the Zero pointer came down towards Keita, but his eyes were filled with determination, and he wouldn't allow himself to be stopped by this one.
"Even if it is the Zero pointer, I wont be stopped."
"It seems that we have similar ideas."
Shoto added, seeing another one coming in towards them.
The giant robots readied their fists, and aimed them towards the pair of them.
Keita and Shoto bent down at the same time.
Ice began to form around Shoto with some of it shooting out into icicles around her, while the earth began to become jagged around Keita's form, mixing together with the ice, seemingly trying to dominate one another for control over the area.
Shoto and Keita's eyes meet one another, and their expressions were a mixture of seriousness, and curiosity about the other.
Shoto watched as one of the robots went to straight punch the young boy, and towards her, herself.
"Then it's time to freeze...I wonder if my old man is watching me right now..."
"You should only do your best, Shoto-chan. For you."
Shoto blinked, her eyes briefly going back to his body.
Then at the same time, they whipped their hands forward.
The earth and ice shot out, the ice combated the hand for a brief moment, before it overcame the hand and froze it. Freezing it up its arm, and the force of the ice managed to push it backwards a good deal.
At the same time, the earth came at the robots hand in a hard almost boulder like movement, and the strength of the earth managed to smash apart the robots hand, along with the arm, and continued going up, until it reached the upper body of the robot, piercing the head, and destroyed it.
It then continued going forward, as more robots appeared, as did Shoto's ice.
Together, they managed to take out three Zero pointers each, the ice froze them solid, while the earth would bombard the robots with so much force that their metal bodies couldn't contain themselves, and were shattered apart.
Keita then used this chance to dash forward, using the ground as a transportation, riding on an earth pillar, while Shoto also began running, seeing the ice that the robot was frozen with was beginning to melt, and break some of the robots body down.
[Ooh yeah! That's how it's done Keita! Shatter those enemies as if they aren't anything!]
Eri clapped her hands.
[Hehe, Kei-chan used the ground to break the robot Nejire-chan.]
[Yup, that's right! Those two are really tough! That ice, and that earth! It's really strong! It seems that Class 1A have taken a lead! But, Class 1B aren't going to give up so easily! It seems that Neito-chan is going to try something else as well! Lets see what his efforts are going to be!]
Nejire's voice captivated the audience rather well.
Even Sir Nighteye had to admit that it wasn't so bad to hear different perspectives.
Though he was glad that Keita was pulling ahead as he was.
As they finished running under it, Shoto looked back and said "I merely froze it off balance, it is going to fall." as what she said would happen, did, and it fell down towards the ground, creating a shockwave which ran through the area, but Keita wasn't concerned, and continued onwards, with Shoto right on his heels.
But then he heard something behind him.
His eyes caught that the sight of one of the robots falling, and it was going towards a young girl, who had horns coming out of her head. The horns of the girl fired off from her head, and tried to stop the robots body coming down on her…
But they did nothing other than rip through some of the metal.
She tried to escape, when some of the debris fell before her, forcing her backwards, but the robots body was coming down on top of her…
But then suddenly, the earth formed a dome around her, an open one for her to run out of, and stopped the robots body from coming down towards her, protecting the young girl.
Her large eyes went towards Keita, and saw that he was smiling towards her as he was running away.
Her cheeks began to turn red, looking back up towards Keita and saw how he ran away, how he had helped her from the falling robot, and she lightly smiled, before running off towards the direction Keita ran as well.
Sir Nighteye saw what had happened, and his smile grew.
"Even though he's determined to win, he also doesn't want anyone to get hurt. That's a quality that I've always admired about that boy."
Mirio nodded.
"I agree. Keita-kun is showing us why he's got his POWER!"
Ryukyu smiled from where she sat, then added her own thoughts.
"It seems that it's going to be tough, I hope Keita-kun's prepared."
"Indeed, he's going to be using his power to hopefully come out on top as Mirio said."
Sir Nighteye gave a curious look towards Mirio, before shrugging and watched on curiously.
Back on the field, Neito noticed how Keita managed to save that girl with the horse like features, and turned to a boy with blades coming out of his arms.
"You're up, lets make sure he doesn't become first place."
Itsuka who was nearby, lightly hit Neito in the head, causing him to cry out.
"Don't say such things."
"What are you doing Kendo?!"
"Stop trying to sabotage others in the race!"
"But, that's how it's meant to be, we're all aiming for first place. So why shouldn't I try and make sure that I win?"
Itsuka scowled, she wasn't happy that Neito was doing this.
The boy with blades coming out of his arms, his name being Kamakiri.
He came shooting towards Keita at a good speed.
He had blood thirsty looking eyes, and he went to attack Keita, while Keita managed to block his strike with an earth shield, and twirl around it, grabbing the earth, and used it as a balancing tool for him to turn his body sideways, delivering a hard kick right into the torso of Kamakiri, sending him skidding across the ground, and landed a few feet away from Keita.
"Aah, so you're tough after all! I'm excited! Monoma said you'd be tough, but I wanted to confirm it for myself! Lets duel!"
Kamakiri got excited, and tried to charge Keita, when Himiko came up from behind him, and giggled.
"Hey! Kei-chan! Hit the blade to make it weaker for me!"
"Right!"
Himiko lunged forward, kicking one of his arm mounted blades as Keita formed an earth spire at the other side, piercing through it, and she managed to break through the blades with her physical strength, and catch some of the blade in the air.
Himiko then twirled, and landed on the ground.
"Sorry mantis man, but I wont lose!"
Himiko giggled out, and tossed the blade she broke off to the right hand side, piercing a nearby rock and a girl that was attempting to sneak up on Keita and Himiko was stopped in her tracks, Himiko showed a wild smile on her face.
"Eep..."
The girl meekly cried, but Himiko just winked.
"Not yet, sweetie~"
"B-But...I-I just wanted to meet a cute boy..."
She whined, Himiko raised a finger in her direction with a small wink.
"Maybe I'll add you to the harem list, if you're a good girl~ I also saw that horse girl as well! Yippe! Love is blossoming all over the place! Yes, I'm going to have so much fun for this right now! I can't stop myself from smiling!"
Kinoko, the girl that Himiko stopped, tilted her head as Himiko ran off with the others.
Back with the others, Izuku watched on as Keita, Himiko and Shoto were neck and neck. The freezing that Shoto gave one of the enemies, began to undo, and fell down to the ground, right on top of Kirishima and Tetsutetsu, while Izuku looked on.
[My, what a display of Quirks! The fact that these are all the 0 Pointers as well. It is going to be a challenge. But, with Keita Chisaki, Himiko Toga, and Shoto Todoroki neck in neck, who's going to be able to catch up to them huh!?]
Present Mic went wild, while Mirko began laughing.
[Yeah! Those three aren't half bad. Hmmm, I wouldn't mind seeing what all these kids can do. If these three are anything to go by, it seems that some interesting stuff is about to happen! But look at the explosion girl! She isn't thrilled! She wont take this lying down, I can assure you of that! This race is going to be an all out duel soon enough!]
Mirko continued to laugh, while Eri tilted her head.
[So, Kei-chan is in first place with Himiko-chan and Todoroki-chan?]
[Yup! That's right Eri-chan! It's going to be neck in neck, but we also have to consider the others. Kacchan in particular doesn't look happy right now. She is going to bring down the house if she continues on with her anger!]
"I can hear you, freaky blue haired girl! Don't trifle with me!"
Nejire just giggled at Katsuki's frustrations, only igniting more of them within her.
Kirishima burst out of the robots body with his Quirk, Hardening.
"Damn it Todoroki! You seriously are beginning to piss me off with trapping me under that damn thing!"
He yelled out, looking around the area, but then saw that Shoto was a fair distance away along with Keita, and Himiko.
But then, Tetsutetsu came bursting out of the robots body with his steel body. His eyes raged for Shoto for what happened with the ice freezing and then unfreezing the robots in places, his fury going quite strong.
[Ooh my, it seems those boys have similar Quirk's huh. Wow, but one can turn into metal, and one can turn his skin harder? Which is better? I don't know...but I feel like we're going to be finding out sooner or later? Maybe it will be a manly brawl! What do you think Eri-chan?]
Eri tilted her head at Nejire's words.
[Erm...I don't know...Kei-chan would never say it would be...100 percent. anything could happen.]
[You're totally right Eri-chan! Hehe, lets see what goes on from here!]
As Nejire was saying that, Katsuki saw Keita, Himiko and Shoto pretty close, she wasn't having any of it.
Using her explosions out of her hand, she began rocketing herself upwards.
A giant fist came for her body, so she sent an explosion downwards, propelling her upwards, over the fist, and then used her explosions to fly up the arm of the robot, and over it, all the while thinking "I'm definitely not losing to Icy Hot or Vampire. Kei, you better watch out as well." and got over the Villain robot, and fired herself off towards the pair that had taken the lead, all the while Izuku watched on and was amazed by the determination of Keita, Himiko, Shoto and Katsuki as well, and how they were all going for gold.
"Haaaah! I wont be beaten down!"
"The darkness shall penetrate these enemies."
Sero, and Tokoyami however, weren't far behind either. Sero used his tape to attach to the robots, and swing his way upwards, while Tokoyami used his Dark Shadow to grapple onto the robots, and pull himself along with the shadow creature itself.
"Have this!"
"Melt!"
Behind them, Tenya used his speed to run as fast as he could, and jumped, kicking one of the One pointers from the Entrance Exam downwards, while Mina threw acid at the joints of the robots, causing them to melt, and brought down their bodies to the ground.
"Sound will explode you!"
"Ooh yeah, this is how it is done!"
Jiro rushed forward as well, and attached her earlobes to the robots, sending her heartbeat through them, and then broke them down with sound, all the while Kaminari jumped onto one of them, and gave an electric shot to one of them, breaking it down as well.
"Haaaaaah!"
"R-Release!"
Even Ojiro, using his Quirk, managed to destroy one of the One pointers by spinning around fast, and breaking it down, Ochaco using her Quirk to levitate them and then bring them right back down, destroying their bodies.
[Watching them now, it seems that they're pretty strong for their age, and interesting dynamic usages of their Quirks. While not all powerhouses, it seems that they have strong enough Quirks to be able to blitz these robots no problem.]
Mirko said with a toothy grin on her face.
Izuku, seeing all of this go down, wasn't going to sit back and do nothing.
"...Like Keita-kun...Like Kacchan...I will...I will also do my best!"
Izuku rushed forward, seeing an opening, but one of the One pointers got in the way. He knew that fighting it with his Quirk would be a no-go right now. Because Keita wasn't even there to heal him anymore, and he might need it for later.
So, he decided to grab a sheet of metal that had been dropped off one of the robots before, and used it like a sword, cutting through the robots arm when it swung for him, cleaving through it and then ran right past it, murmuring "I'll keep this for now." and kept running.
Momo looked on, knowing she'd also have to try harder, opened her shirt just enough that it revealed her stomach, and kept her modesty.
She used her Creation Quirk to make a cannon, with the balls needed as well, and using that, she set them off, and destroyed some of the Zero pointers with her Quirk, Izuku looking on with immense surprise.
[So, she's a recommendation student. What an interesting power she has. I could do a few things with her.]
Mirko said with a voice laced with intrigue, sending shivers down Momo's spine.
[Ooh my eyes! I thought she was going to take everything off then! We might've had to take the cameras off of her~]
"I-I wouldn't go that far!"
Momo cried out at Nejire's comment.
But then she saw that Itsuka was running by her, and her hands grew larger, grappling with one robot. Crushing the metal under her hands, Momo was surprised by her strength, and watched as Itsuka managed to break through the metal entirely, she then broke through the robot, tearing it apart.
"Amazing...she's pretty strong. Her Quirk seems to be pretty ordinary as well, not really complex. But her strength, and her grace, her ability to speak to others as well as if it was just a normal thing...no, I will also have to try my hardest as well. I wont stop."
Momo thought to herself, readying herself for the rest of the race.
Keita, Himiko and Shoto continued to run and found a hill, so they ran down that as well. Katsuki wasn't far behind either, using her Quirk to shoot her towards them.
[Heh! For those who thought the first Obstacle was tough, just wait for the second one!]
Present Mic spoke up, as the three began seeing what the second one really was.
What they saw was a canyon of stone pillars, and large gaps between them as well. Wires attached to the pillars, and to both ends of the large canyon.
Keita pondered what he should do, what kind of skills he could bring to this challenge. Himiko here had the advantage since she was able to run across thin wires like that, Keita wasn't sure if he'd be able to do something like that so easily.
"This wont be challenging for me."
"Hehe, my specialty is tricky stuff like this~"
Getting to the edge of the canyon, Keita saw Shoto jump onto a wire, and used her ice to shoot her across. Himiko used amazing acrobatic skills to launch herself upwards, and then run across the wire as if she was running on a solid surface.
"Right...then I'll go for it!"
Keita hummed, and nodded to himself, jumping towards the wire, and used his Quirk to detach it off of the structure it was attached to, and then used the wire to swing across the canyon, coming up towards a stone pillar, and used his skills he had honed from Mirko, and Ryukyu for aerial movement, allowed him to run across the pillar, and then get towards the other side.
Using the speed and momentum of his swinging, he launched himself forward, and like an acrobat himself, he twirled in the air, before attempting to grab one of the other wires that ran across the canyon.
[Ooh! This is so exciting! Mirko-san, can you give us your thoughts on what's going on between them right now!?]
Present Mic questioned aloud, while Mirko smirked.
[It's clear so far that each have their own talents. Shoto Todoroki's is all about powering through, Himiko Toga's is all about using her body to dance around her problems and skills to help her achieve what she needs, and Keita Chisaki is all about using his mind and Quirk in tandem to try and pull himself across the battlefield. All in all, all three of them are doing amazing things. I have to admit that I'm really enjoying their efforts so far!]
[Yes, I agree with Rabbit-chan! Kei-chan and the others are doing really well!]
Eri added, as Keita smiled, swinging across the canyon.
"Now, it's time for my adorable babies to help me across!"
As he continued swinging across, Mei, a girl from the support course, revealed some of her gadgets.
Ochaco, and Mina could only watch on with blinking rapid eye movement at the sight before her. However, the young pink haired girl had a crazed look in her eyes, and she used her gadgets, allowed due to her being on the support course, to grapple onto one of the sides of the stone pillars, and uses her hover shoes, to glide up the stone pillars, a while look on her face.
Keita, Himiko and Shoto all closed in on the end part of this part of the race, and saw the red archway at the top of some stairs.
Keita also noticed that Katsuki wasn't that far behind them either, she had a very determined look on her face.
However, just before he reached the final part of this part of the race, he noticed that a fair few people were gaining on him, so he placed his hands down on the ground, and then caused the earth to shift around him.
The earth rose up, becoming more sturdy as he was shot forward, riding on a small wave of the earth. The earth kept churning below him at a perfect rate, allowing him to keep on the toes of Shoto and the others.
Keita noticed also that Izuku had managed to make it towards the area where the wires were, and he was crawling around.
He couldn't imagine how hard it must be to do it without using his Quirk.
Though he did know Himiko would since she was able to do it mostly without using anyone's Quirk.
He really did think Izuku was doing well.
But with his competition ahead, the made sure to stay focused.
As that went on, Momo managed to get into the other side, and exhaled, before seeing Itsuka also managing to get to the other side.
She smiled lightly.
"Seems like we're neck in neck, as I keep hearing people say."
"Yeah seems so."
Itsuka replied with a friendly smile on her face.
But then she saw behind Momo, something was moving, fast.
She grimaced, when she realized it was Mineta.
He had a lusty gaze for the unsuspecting Momo, but she couldn't allow Momo to get jumped.
She yelled "Get down!" Momo did just that, so Itsuka delivered a giant fist right into his face, sending Mineta flying backwards.
Itsuka sighed, placing her hands on her hips, then together they began running.
"Honestly, that boy needs to keep his mind out of the gutter."
"Yes...thank you, he always seems to go for me."
"Well, he is a pervert, so its clear why he goes for someone like you."
Momo tilted her head.
"But, I'd consider you more pretty than me."
Itsuka was taken by surprise, before laughing awkwardly.
"I don't think it's like that, but that was rather kind, thanks."
Itsuka and Momo laughed together, only to see Neito running by them.
Itsuka's face turned annoyed, and shook her head.
"Speaking of annoying boys, another just went by."
"What's his deal anyway?"
Itsuka shrugged at Momo's question.
"I don't know. But when it is him, I can't put anything past him."
Momo silently agreed as they continued running together, trying to get good scores.
As they did, Izuku came running up, carrying the piece of metal with him he got before.
Looking at the students going forward, he was sure he'd not catch up...
But then saw a student go up with the landmines, firing into the air.
An idea crawled into his mind, and he began carefully digging up the landmines...
Back with Keita, he had made it to the mine field that would slow them down. Rushing over it, would cause them to explode, and trying to move too slow, would mean he'd not be able to get over them.
But for Katsuki, she was able to fly across it, while she smirked towards him.
"Seems like I've got the advantage now Kei!"
Keita chortled lightly.
It did seem like that, and he wasn't sure how he'd get through.
But he then shook his hands, placing them on the ground, and used his Quirk to create a thin layer of the earth above the other one, so he wouldn't be caught in the detonating landmines that were around.
He created it big enough for him to run on, so that's what he did, and managed to shoot by Shoto who watched in amazement that he was able to run like he was. Even Himiko who was nearby could hardly believe that Keita was able to do that.
But then looked down to see what he had done to the earth, seeing how his thin layer was hovering off of the ground just enough so Keita wouldn't set off the bombs, and Himiko at least thought that was rather clever for him to do that.
[Hahahaha! Explosives aren't going to stop these kids! Man, I wish I was down there as well! It would be so fun to play against these kids! Some of them aren't half bad at all! Some of them are kind of weird, but that's alright with me! Weird can be wonderful too!]
Mirko laughed out, while Present Mic got hyped up by Mirko's energy, and let out a loud voice.
[Alright then! Things have changed yet again! It seems that before it was neck in neck with three people, now that's gone down to Katsuki Bakugo and Keita Chisaki! With one flying and the other running across earth he had created! It's amazing how things can switch within moments, wouldn't you agree Aizawa?!]
Aizawa just stared at him, and deferred to Nejire.
[Aah, allow me to handle this Sensei. You see, everything in this is always changing and flowing like you said Present Mic-sensei. But, this isn't over yet by a long shot, this is still anyone's game! I can't wait to see who is going to win this one! Eri-chan, anything to add?]
[I think Kei-chan's doing really well right now! I hope Kei-chan wins!]
[Aah, me too Eri-chan! Me too!]
Keita chortled lightly, as he heard a booming voice behind him.
"Hahaha! Now here he is! Running on the earth!"
Keita turned to see Neito coming towards him.
He kept breathing out of his mouth, forming air domes for him to run across.
Keita thought that was a rather creative way for him to get across, he didn't know who's Quirk that belonged to, though he didn't believe that it mattered, he analysed it pretty quickly, so he was going to be ready to do what was necessary.
"It seems that you're doing very well, Monoma-san!"
"That I am! And now, I'm going to capture you! Hahahaha! You wont come in first..." Suddenly, a horn came shooting down, and shattered the air barrier he was on, sending his face right into the landmine. "...PLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!"
Neito hit the landmine, though since this was for teenagers, they weren't real explosives that would cause intense damage.
But it did blow him away from Keita, who blinked.
He looked up to see the girl from before. She was riding in two horns underneath her feet.
It seemed that the horns were being controlled by the girl herself, moving and going in the direction she wanted, probably through some telekinetic force, Keita thought.
He thought that was rather cool.
"Hehehe, it's a thank you for helping me out before~ My names Pony~"
"Aah, my names Keita, pleasure to meet you!"
"Yes, but now it's time for me to fight too!"
She aimed her horns at Keita, and went to fire them off, when Katsuki shoulder barged her, sending her flying down to the ground, where a landmine hit her, and sent her backwards.
"No one attacks my boyfriend!" Katsuki announced, then gave Keita a challenging smirk. "Except for me!"
Keita grimaced as Katsuki got close, and aimed for the ground below him to explode it and send him flying. However, the moment she tried, Keita kicked her hand out of the way, so she twirled in the air, and came back with her other hand to launch a point blank explosion right in his face.
"I don't think so Kacchan!"
Keita allowed the hand to over above his body, and she set off the explosion, the explosion coming very close to hitting Keita, if he didn't divert the full power of it at the last moment, but he still felt some of the shockwave of the explosion, almost knocking him off balance completely.
"Damn, you dodged most of the attack...well, that doesn't mean I wont stop!"
Katsuki announced, and began having a battle with Katsuki as they ran towards the finish line.
Shoto who was a fair distance behind, knew that she didn't have a choice now.
Even though it might help the others, she had to freeze the area before her, and continue on.
So that's what she did, she managed to use her ice to freeze the ground, and skated forward.
Himiko took advantage of it, and skated after her, so she'd be able to take her down once getting close enough.
[Nejire-chan, Kacchan just attacked Kei-chan, her boyfriend…]
Katsuki lightly blushed when hearing Eri say that.
[Yes, but it isn't like they're having a proper lovers spat! This is just them trying to beat the other! Do not worry Eri-chan, everything is going to work out in the end! Even if it means that they have to attack one another! And now it seems that Shoto-chan and Himiko-chan are after them as well! It's going to be a wild right now in this fight!]
Nejire cheered out, with Keita hearing the crowds going wild.
But then he felt the ice creeping up across his leg, trying to freeze him in place.
"Shoto-chan!"
"It seems that I can't let you win."
Katsuki smirked, and then knocked Keita towards the incoming Shoto, using her Quirk to shatter the ice, and tossed Keita towards her. Shoto's eyes bulged, trying to dodge out of the way, but Keita's head hit her chest while his body took hers down.
"Sorry Kei, but I'm not losing to you. Even if I...ugh...y-you know how I feel about you! Even if you're my boyfriend, I wont lose!"
Keita found it cute that she found it difficult to say her true feelings in front of a crowd.
But for him, he found it rather easy and expressed it so.
"My adorable Kacchan, you truly are cute~"
Katsuki was caught off guard with that for a few moments.
But that was all Himiko needed, who jumped her from behind, and grappled her from behind, pulling her backwards.
"Stop grabbing me Vampire!"
"Hehe, I just wanted to be close to you Kacchan~"
"Aaaaaah! Off me Vampire!"
Katsuki tried to grab Himiko, but she used her skills to keep Katsuki's hands at bay, all the while seeing Shoto and Keita launching attacks at one another as they came running up, ice and earth smashed together, and stopped the other from progressing.
Mirko, who was watching couldn't contain her grin.
[Hahaha, it's like a fourway between them! Seeing the ice, and earth smashing together, makes me believe these kids already have great power! But then seeing the explosive girl and the girl with the Vampire like nature duelling, I don't know which is going to win!]
[I know! This is really exciting, I don't know which is going to win. But I hope that all of them do their best~]
Nejire sang out.
All four of them tried their best to fight and get ahead. Keita in the middle, Shoto on the left, and Katsuki on the right, with Himiko jumping between them, trying to get the edge over them all, but each of them couldn't gain the advantage.
When one would get up close, the others would drag them back.
However, a sudden explosion behind them caught them all off guard.
"What the hell was that? Kacchan, did you leave your sweat back there?"
"Don't blame me you weird Vampire!"
"But, she did have a good point. You deal with explosions and that seemed stronger than these landmines."
Keita chortled at Shoto's reasoning's.
But he saw what it really was.
It was Izuku, who had somehow used the explosions to propel him into the sky. He was also riding on what seemed to be a piece of a robot, probably in an attempt to stop him from getting so injured upon impact.
"So, it was Izuku-kun huh? Wow, he's managed to catch us all pretty good. How smart~"
"That idiot isn't smart! What if he had killed himself?! Pink cheeks would have been depressed!"
She snickered at the end, Himiko nodded.
"I agree completely, they deserve one another~"
"But with the rate he's going, he'll probably surpass us."
Keita heard Shoto say, and he couldn't deny it either.
Izuku did seem like he was going to overtake them.
Though he did consider Izuku a friend, and praised him on getting this far without using One For All, he presumed, he also didn't want to let his efforts go to waste, so he picked it up a notch, and began using his Quirk around him.
Then he used the earth like a catapult, shooting him off at high speeds.
Katsuki smirked, and did the same thing, albeit with her explosions.
Shoto looked unsure of what to do, but then knew she'd have to try something, so she stomped on the ground, and rode on her ice, trying to catch the others up.
Himiko casually held onto the ice that was behind Shoto, allowing her to keep the pace up.
Keita looked behind him, seeing the girls right on him, as well as Izuku who was coming from the sky downwards.
"Hehe, now this is a competition!"
"Yeah it is Kei!"
"I also must admit that this is really fun~"
"Even I have to say that this isn't so bad."
Katsuki replied to him with excitement, matched with Himiko's.
Even Shoto seemed to be rather excited, but didn't show it in the same way as the others.
Keita was glad he had trained with Mirko, his speed was faster than before, and he could use his legs better thanks to her, running and jumping seemed to be second nature thanks to what she had done, and being in the air was thanks to Ryukyu's training and how he could adapt to any situation. Sir Nighteye also taught him a good number of stuff, which he was using now.
All in all, Keita was glad that he had trained and gotten stronger.
As Izuku came down, Keita saw Izuku's determined eyes, so he bent down just before Izuku got close, and his hand went down towards the ground, watching Izuku go over his head, spinning the piece of metal around in his hand.
He tried to stab the ground with it, but the moment he did, Keita's Quirk activated, and caused it to come up, destroying the piece of metal, Izuku's eyes widening in pure shock when seeing something like that happen, Keita smiled towards him.
"Good effort, but I can't let you win~"
Izuku's face falls…
But he wouldn't give up, and took out his finger in a flicking position.
Grimacing, Keita hit the deck as did the others, Izuku then flicked hard and fast, catching the air, and sent the pressure towards them. Keita made a shield of the earth behind him to stop the massive wind pressure from sweeping him away.
Shoto did the same thing with ice, while Katsuki grabbed Keita's earth, and Himiko held onto the ice that Shoto made, the pressure of the wind was so strong that it propelled Izuku forward, towards the small tunnel that would be the finishing line.
[Yes! This is what I wanted to see! This is so exciting! Come on everyone! Now go for gold! Anyone can win this!]
Mirko couldn't contain her excitement, and let out cheer after cheer.
All Might, who had been watching on, was proud of Izuku's ability to come from a far distance, and gain distance back on the others, and now was still trying to get ahead. Though he also saw the finger that he had broken in the process, exhaling slowly, and hoped that he was alright.
Keita, and the others, seeing Izuku recovering from the blow back, thought that this was their chance, and charged forward.
Running as fast as they could, Izuku saw them coming, so he panicked and got off the ground, and began running.
But the others caught them up, and all entered the tunnel.
"I wont let you win Deku!"
Izuku grimaced, and Katsuki shot off an explosion, but he ducked and it missed him.
"Move out of the way."
Shoto tried to use her ice to freeze them all.
But Keita slapped the ground, erupting a shield and blocked off the ice.
"Have that Shoto-chan!"
Himiko smirked at Keita's competitive side. While he wasn't overly so, even he had a drive to win which was really endearing for her.
She then saw Katsuki getting ahead of everyone so she yelled "Kei-chan and I kissed last night!" pausing Katsuki.
"What?!"
Himiko giggled out "Just kidding!" and grabbed the back of her shirt, yanking her backwards, and ran towards the finishing line, bypassing Izuku.
Keita wasn't far behind them, and saw Izuku stood before him, running, so Keita used his Quirk on the wall, propelling him forward, or he went to, when Shoto froze the wall, freezing Keita to the wall, as well as Izuku and Himiko to the ground.
"Sorry, I wont be losing here."
Shoto was going to run ahead, but Katsuki had managed to avoid being frozen, and hit Shoto's right hand side with a kick, all she could do with the limited space she had, and sent Shoto to the floor, as Keita Rewrote himself out of the wall, out of the ice, and then charged forward.
Izuku tried desperately to get out of the ice, and knew that if he used One For All's power, then he'd be able to shatter the ice, that's what he thought he should do.
But as luck would have it, as Keita came close, Katsuki tried to shoot him down with an explosion, so Keita used the ice around as a shield, weakening the ice enough for Izuku to break free, and continue running forward.
"Lame, I'm still trapped in the ice."
Himiko complained, seeing Izuku going past her.
Keita though came shooting up, touching the ice below her, and launched the ice as a barrage for Izuku, allowing Himiko to get loose, jumping the incoming Katsuki, and tackled her down to the ground.
The intense situation got the crowd geared up.
Clapping, cheering for their favourite to win.
Getting close to the finishing line, all tried a desperate move to get first, Keita used the ground, Shoto used the ice, Katsuki used her explosions, while Himiko used her skills to knock their attacks away towards other people, Izuku used this advantage to try and get ahead of everyone else.
But as their attacks collided, it created a mass shockwave which blew them all out of the hole, each hitting the ground with a thud sound.
"So close...I'll..." Izuku saw that he was so close to the finishing line, so he tried to move forward, when Keita who was used to feeling pain and getting damaged, had the upper hand here, and could move while feeling pain. "K-Keita-kun..."
"This pain, is nothing compared to what I've felt before."
Despite clearly feeling the hitting of the ground he received, which winded everyone else.
Keita, who had been killed many, many times in his life, was able to fight through it easily, therefore the shockwave didn't stop him from running on ahead, and getting across the finishing line first.
Izuku had a mixture of a smile and furrowed brows as he pulled himself across the finishing line, soon followed by Katsuki, Shoto and finally Himiko who came in fifth place.
They all began panting with one another, trying to catch their breaths as Present Mic cheered out loudly.
[Yahooooooooo! That was an exciting race! First, came Keita Chisaki! Second place is Izuku Midoriya, third place is Katsuki Bakugo! In fourth place, it's Shoto Todoroki. Finally Himiko Toga came in fifth place!]
Present Mic went wild, as Eri clapped over the speakers.
[Kei-chan won! Well done Kei-chan! I knew you could do it!]
Keita smiled towards the crowd, and could see the others panting.
Even he was panting, using his Quirk that much definitely was a fun experience, but also thinking of the different ways to do it like with Juzo's mud, or the ice, or trying to stop others, or even crossing the minefield.
Izuku walked over, and lightly smiled.
"Amazing Keita-kun, you shrugged off being thrown to the ground as if it was nothing. Even Kacchan was winded."
"Hehe, yeah. Well, I've been...lets just say that wasn't nearly as bad as living with my brother."
Keita replied, knowing he couldn't go into full detail.
Death, was a lot more painful compared to just hitting the floor.
"Still...that was amazing, seeing everyone's skills. I'm surprised I made it this far...gambles, that payed off in the end..."
Keita smiled, examining the boys fingers, and then cocked his head.
"Your fingers broke..."
"Ehehe, it seems that I can't control the full power..."
Keita could see that.
But he saw that he was in mild pain, so he presented his hand.
"Here, I'll fix them for you."
"Y-You sure?"
"It shouldn't be difficult. Though I am concerned that your body continues to break."
"Ehehe, I'm sorry for concerning you like this. I didn't mean to do so..."
"I know. Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll find a way to fix your Quirks output in power one day."
Though he said it with a kind tone, Keita could see that Izuku's fingers truly were becoming more damaged as time was on. He could fix them and put them in perfect states again. But eventually, he knew he wouldn't be able to fix them if he didn't have anything to fix.
He wondered if he should talk to Sir Nighteye about it, he didn't want Izuku to lose his fingers, or other parts to use his power.
Taking Izuku's fingers, Keita began fixing him all the while watching other contenders come in. He saw Momo and Itsuka running in together, and panted together. It seemed as if they had a race with one another, more so than everyone else.
More and more students piled in, Neito eventually came in, and scowled towards Keita.
But, he didn't really seem to mind, continuing to fix Izuku's fingers.
By the time that everyone had come in, Keita had finished, Izuku flexed his fingers.
"I'm always in awe that you can do this with your Quirk Keita-kun~ Thanks!"
Keita waved his hand, and showed a kind smile.
As he spoke, Midnight raised her whip into the sky.
"And now, with the final members coming through the door, here are the results!"
Midnight displayed the larger version of what Keita had seen before.
Midnight whipped the ground, gaining their attention.
"Now, there will be a short 20 minute break for all contenders! Please do as you desire during these 20 minutes, relax, eat, and other things that you might need to do! After that, please gather back here for the announcement of the second round! Until then, dismissed!"
Keita was relieved to get a break.
He didn't know what was coming next, but he was excited all the same.
Whatever was going to happen, Keita could hardly wait.
As that was happening, Kai had watched the entire thing happen, and saw that Keita had managed to come first place. A pleased, older brother almost like smile erupted on his face, his subordinates hadn't ever seen him look so...natural.
It wasn't something Kai did often, smile.
And when he did, it was always clearly fake.
But this one was different.
The smile he wore was a smile that couldn't be beaten artificially.
It was a strong smile that showed that he was proud.
Rappa himself also displayed his pride in Keita coming first place, and hid his own smile behind his mask.
"Naturally, it seems that my little brother has come first. Aren't you happy, Chrono?"
Chronostasis' eyes shot for Kai, and recalled what he did the last time he badmouthed Keita.
He got killed for it.
He didn't want to experience that again, so he simply showed a strong and collected expression.
"Y-Yes...that's right, I am...h-happy that he came in first...I had no doubts..."
"Yes, neither did I. I'm very impressed by what has happened. He'll continue on, and show his true power. These Hero's wont know what's hit them."
Rappa just grunted.
He couldn't show how happy he was for Keita.
But he was all the same.
"Anyway, it seems that they're going to take a break. Just makes me wish I could be there in person...well, I soon will be there beside him...rather, he'll be beside me."
Kai smirked.
Though he had lost the chance last time.
Seeing Keita's skills increasing, his speed, strength, endurance.
It was fantastic to see where he'd be going from here.
Rappa on the other hand wasn't thrilled about the idea of Keita and Kai having another reunion.
But right now, he was just going to enjoy the fact that Keita had gotten stronger, faster, and definitely smarter.

So the Obstacle Race happened this chapter. The students pulled out what they had to try and achieve victory. Himiko, despite not using a physical based Quirk, managed to keep up with the others using their Quirks, Keita used his skills and mind to come first, the same with Izuku coming second, Katsuki and Shoto also managed to stay neck in neck with them all. Itsuka and Momo seem to also be developing a bit of a relationship, with Itsuka also warning Keita about Neito's tricks. Though thanks to that, Keita and Pony met one another, with their relationship is going to be growing rather soon. Ibara refused to go against Keita for Neito's activities. Mirko, Nejire and Eri also appeared as commentators, mostly thanks to Mirko making her way in, though it seems everyone's alright with it. Kai also watched what was going down, and showed a bit more of his human side.
