Miranda was sitting at the desk on the computer doing research. When she saw a shadow appear in front of you.

"Hi how may I--Sam, how are you, wow it's been 3 years."

"How are you doctor Bailey. I came out here specifically for you." Sam said.

"For me ?"

"I'm back into cardiothoracic surgery and I have this patient that I have been treating for a while. She moved out here with her husband, they are newly married but I still wanted to be the one to perform the surgery."

"Where do I play in this." Miranda questioned logging off the computer and standing up.

"We ran some test and her white blood cell count is highly elevated.

"Oh she has a tumor." Miranda said nodding her head.

"After her scan it is pancreatic and it's really bad." Sam said and Miranda walked with him.

" And you are the only person that I wanted to perform the surgery."

"Okay I will do it." Miranda said. She didn't have surgeries on her schedule today anyway.

Miranda met with Madison and her husband and they discussed the procedure.

"Book an O.R. Miranda said to Meredith. " As she walked out to go get ready.

Miranda scrub her hands as Sam walked in and started to do his own. She looked over his frame once before focusing back on her hand.

"How are those panic attacks."

"Dr. Bailey for the last time. I told you it was asthma." Sam laughed and followed her into the O.R.

"What about you. Last time I saw you. You were filling out applications for Peds fellowship."

"Divorced happened, became a single mother, didn't have time." Miranda said looking over at him.

"Oh I'm sorry to here that."

"Don't be because I'm not." Miranda laughed. She really was. She loved her life that she had now, engaged and still being an excellent mother.

Sam asked Madison to count backwards from 10 and she was out.

Miranda got started and she listened to Sam tell her about how he got back into Cardio. He seemed like he was better. It was a really great decisions he made.

Miranda resected the tumor. And was stitching up the small hole on her pancreas. Miranda looked down as she saw a rush of blood fill the women's stomach. " Where is all this blood coming from.?" Miranda yelled out as she felt around. "Everything is good on my in. What-" Miranda stopped talking and looked up at the monitor.

"It's her heart." Sam said as he looked at her chest. "I need to get in there immediately." "15 blade." He yelled out.

Miranda watched as he worked hard to prepare the rupture aorta.

Miranda looked in horror as the monitor flat lined. She looked over as Sam kept working. "Sam she is gone." Miranda said quietly.

He ignored her and continue working.

"Sam she is dead you can stop." Miranda said louder once again touching his arm.

"Damn it" He yelled out and shrugged his shoulder. Letting her hand fall off of him. He snatched his gloves and mask off walking out.

"Time of death 20:30" Miranda said as she walked out.

She went to the waiting room. "Mr. Rogers, your wife Madison, during surgery I successfully removed the tumor but she had an aortic Dissection which is a tear in her heart. This lead to a rupture of the aorta. Dr. Bennett. He tried his best to repair it, but it was too late. Your wife died.

Miranda stayed with her husband for comfort for a while. She then went to go find same

Miranda opened the door to the on call room and stood looking at him.

"I'm sorry." Miranda said as he looked up at her so defeated

"Sam I don't know what happened the last time you quit cardio but don't let this death cause you to give up and quit again. It wasn't anything you did. Her body had been through so much and had major damage. It was going to happen." Miranda said putting her hand on his shoulder.

She took her hand off of his shoulder to walk away and Sam grabbed her hand pulling her back to him. "Thank you. Dr. Bailey."

"No problem, I figured I would be nice to you once." Miranda said laughing as she turned to walk away once more and again he grabbed her hand pulling her back.

" What-"

"I'm going to kiss you and this time. Don't stop me.

"Sam I am en-

Sam pressed his lips to hers and wrapped his arms around her body."

Miranda thought against it but she gave in and kissed him back.

Sam reached down and pulled at her scrub top lifting it over her head and tossing it on the floor.

Ben got out of the cab at Seattle Grace. He was so excited to see his fiancé. He loved the way that sounded coming off of his lips but he knew that he would be addicted to saying wife. He missed her so much for the year he had been gone. The face times and phone calls just didn't do them any justice. He knew that Miranda was still a little hesitant about being engaged especially sense they were doing a long distance relationship which would be followed by a commuter marriage.

"Dr. Webber." Ben said walking behind him.

"Dr. Warren. I'm am glad to see you are back in town. I know Miranda will be happy to see you." Richard said shaking his hand.

"I'm overjoyed honestly. Do you know where she is." Ben asked.

"Uh she just got out of surgery. So I'm thinking the on call room." Richard said as Ben nodding turning in that direction.

Ben walked down the hall way and he opened the door to the on call room, when he looked inside he saw that it was empty so he walked to the next one.

Ben opened the door to see his fiancé sitting on top of the night stand with another doctor between her legs, kissing him. He saw the straps to her orange bra.

"Miranda!?" Ben questioned yelling.

"Ben?" Miranda gasped not believing her eyes.

She saw Ben rush in and snatch Sam away from her throwing him to the ground. Ben stood over to him, ready to throw a blow to his face. "Ben no it's not" Miranda couldn't even get the words out as she rushed to pick up her shirt throwing it over top her head ,pulling it down.

Ben stood up and looked at Miranda and for the first time Miranda saw a look of disgust in his eyes and it showed on his face. Ben for the first time saw the women who was his angel and what he believed to be soul mate; he saw her as disgusting. He shook his head angrily and walked out of the room.

"Ben!" Miranda called after him. She was blinded by her tears stumbling to catch up to him.

"Please. Stop"

"Stop for what.!" Ben's voice boomed causing her to jump and everyone around them to look at them.

"I'm sorry. He just kissed me and things lead to another." Miranda rambled trying to explain but she really had no excuse.

"I can't even look at you right now." Ben said turning his back to her. "so you didn't love me enough to stop? you were going to fuck him." Ben asked yelling.

"I wouldn't have slept with him I promise, my mind just got clouded, things happened so fast. I love you, I wouldn't do that to you. It was a mistake." Miranda said hiccupping through her tears as she cried uncontrollably.

"I think the mistake was mine. For loving and trusting you." Ben said with his first balled up. "The way I'm feeling right now. If I could go back to the day we met I would switch surgeries with Knox and turn around and walk away." Ben said as Miranda gasped once again.

"Don't say that, you don't mean that." Miranda said as she twisted her engagement ring.

Ben looked back over his shoulder at her and he narrowed his eyes at his ring. The ring he spent weeks getting custom design, picking out every diamond and Consulting with the jeweler about every detail.

"Give me that." Ben said with anger as he reached his hand out towards her.

" What!? No." Miranda said shaking her head. "I won't Ben please don't do this."

"Give it to me now." Ben said once again and Miranda could tell he was loosing his cool. Miranda shook her head once more. She wanted to stand her ground.

"Bailey just give it to him. Let him have his space and cool down. Everything will be okay." Derek said as he stood beside her. She had big tears falling down her face like raindrops in a thunder storm.

She slowly twisted the ring sliding it off her finger before hesitantly putting it in Ben's hand. Ben looked at her and shook his head before busting through the door leaving out of the hospital.

Miranda felt nauseous as of she was going to be sick. She ran to grab a trash can to throw up in. Never in her life had she felt so alone, and scared. It hurt her to the core like a surgery with out anesthesia. Feeling every cut and every stich, watching the person you wished to spend the rest of your life with leave, which could possibly be goodbye forever.

Callie came and held her hair as she empty the contents of her stomach.

Richard handed Derek a water bottle. "Come on Bailey. We got you." Derek said as he helped her up and walked with her down the hall as her face was in his chest. "I didn't mean it. I didn't mean it. I didn't mean." Miranda repeated over and over again.

"We know you didn't." Callie assured her.

"I gotta call him and go after him. I can't just let him leave." Miranda said sitting up getting off the bed.

"It's best that you stay here for right now."

"No I am not staying here." Miranda said.

"You need to. You gotta to understand he-

"No I can not understand this." Miranda yelled.

"Move." She said to Callie. Callie moved from blocking the door and Miranda left out slamming the door behind her.
