Chapter Start

The next day after Marco came home from the Archive and a few areas he needed to run came through the front door carrying a folder and was immediately bombarded with a hyperactive Star running in front of him. "Marco you're not going to believe this we were saved by a literal knight in shining armor with a strange sword to boot," Star said fast causing Marco to respond the only way a normal person could "Huh?" Sophia walked up and pulled Star away from the confused Marco. "What she is saying is we were saved by a supposed knight that showed up when we were getting in a fight with Saint O's princess catchers," Sophia said having Star freeze when she mentioned Saint O's. "AAHHH!" Star screamed and ducked behind the couch.

Marco looked between his sister and the cowering Star hiding behind the couch. "So can you please explain what happened to please," Marco said walking to the couch with Sophia in toe. Both of them say down on opposite ends of the couch and right as they sat down Star jumped over the couch and landed between the twins.

"It was amazing! I mean sure I didn't notice the tension at first, but it all went fine in the end" Star said getting a curious glance from Marco. "Wait what do you mean by tension?" Marco asked Star who looks away. "Oh, nothing just a bit of an argument" Star said trying to dodge the question. "Star if you don't tell him I will" Sophia said knowing Star will continue to avoid telling him. "Sophia why!?" Star asked wondering why Sophia would want to tell Marco.

"If we don't tell him and he finds out later we will never hear the end of it. Plus it's not good to keep this away from him and you know it" Sophia said getting a loud sigh from Star who knew she was right. Marco who sat there decided to let them know he is still their right next to them. "Can you please tell me what happened now?" Marco said with a bit of concern that Star and Sophia could have been in danger and/or hurt. Star jumped up and was caught by Sophia and both of them looked at Marco realizing they had forgotten he was right there.

"Well…" Sophia said wondering how to explain what happened. "It started after you left and we entered a portal to another dimension" Sophia said causing Marco's eye to twitch knowing it will be a long explanation.

Magic High Commission meeting room

"Can we all please calm down and discuss this matter appropriately!?" came a shout from a blue silver-haired woman wearing a crown. (Moon looks the same as in the show if you don't know what she looks like then use google) This is the queen of Mewni and Mother to Star Queen Moon. "We are and it doesn't help that someone is trying to pick a fight again!" said another woman wearing an orange dress with red hair, yellow eyes, two long horns going upwards, and between said horns is a large flame glaring at a man with a crystal shard for a head and snakes for hands. "Hey, it wasn't my fault! Said man responded like a child trying to take the blame. "Yeah right! You know the box only lets people tell the truth and you told it and admitted it was your fault!" The red-haired woman said starting another round of arguments on the table.

"Enough! Hekapoo, Rhomulas you two know right now we should focus on this instead of the past and the rest of you for Pete's sake we are here to discuss what we should about this! Not bicker like children, while this person goes around unsupervised!" This time the voice came from a floating skull with blades forming horns and around said skull had dark bluish energy around it. "We have to find this person and see if they can be convinced to hand over the Keyblade and if not then we'll keep an eye on them"

"BAAH" Spoke a goat-man with dark bat-like wings and wearing a scarf with simple robes. "Lekmet is right Omnitraxis it isn't that simple," Moon said with a worried look on her face and her husband River just grumbling to himself. "How is it that you can understand him anyway?" he grumbled before looking down the table to see the other royals that decided to come to the meeting. The Spider Bites sat on the left side of the long table with uninterested or bored expressions similar to the Lucitors and King Pony Head. "Why are you all just sitting there?" River asked the other royals and in turn, they gestured to the arguing commission with Moon trying to get them back on track.

"Well, it seems I need to be here after all" everyone in the room looked to see a small floating man with blue skin, yellow robes, pants, and a light pink gem embedded into his skull with his eye color and pupil the same shape and color. "Glossaryck what are you doing here!?" shouted Rhomulas while pointing one of his snake hands at him. "I think a more important question is how he knew about this meeting!?" Hekapoo exclaimed irritated. "Well, when Star kept asking to teach her some of the magic that she saw an armored figure with a key-shaped sword I put two and two together" Glossaryck said getting an irritated look from the commission. "That doesn't explain how you knew about this meeting," Onmi said to him "BAAH" Lekment said in agreement.

"I think it does really," Glossaryck said and Rhomulas was about to say something, but was cut off by Moon. "Wait I thought you didn't want to come to this meeting and focus on Star's training" Moon said getting a round of nods from the other royals. "Is that what they told you? Well, that's not the case they just want themselves to look good. So what have you discussed before I got here" Glossaryck finished only to receive silence from everyone and the Magic high commission avoiding his gaze? "Uhhh alright then I'll start from the beginning" Glossaryck said floating up more and looked to the royals who attended the meeting. "Do you have any photos or videos of this wielder?" Glossaryck asked them and the response he got was King Pony Head spewing out photos on the table.

Glossaryck looked at the pictures humming to himself and then just smiled. "Ok, it's someone different this time" Glossaryck said getting annoyed looks from everyone in the room. "We know that! Why is another wielder here at all!" Rhomulas said getting angry again at Glossaryck. "Oh, that! Well the last time one was here he defended all of Mewni from these dark creatures" Glossaryck said creating a magical hologram in the center of the table showing everyone dark creatures of different shapes, but one thing they all have in common was the glowing yellow eyes.

"Yes, I know this already. He defended Mewni from the creatures Eclipsa the Queen of Darkness summoned" Moon said getting nods from the commission, but suddenly heard laughter from Glossaryck. "Is that what you think?" If you actually looked up Mewmin's history you would actually find out that Eclipsa helped the Keybearer all those years ago" Glossaryck said having a history book magically appear and opened to a page showing a wolf masked key bearer standing next to Eclipsa fighting said dark creatures.

Moon sent a glare to the Magic Commission obviously saying that this will be discussed later. "So then these creatures are going to attack again?" Moon asked still a bit irked about that piece of information. "Well I don't know it could be another reason he is here, but we will just have to see," Glossaryck said causing Moon to sigh at his response.

"Alright then we shall have all patrols keep an out for these dark creatures and if there are informed us and other kingdoms immediately," Moon said getting nods in agreement. Moon looked to Glossaryck only to find that he had already disappeared. 'Of course' Moon thought knowing where he probably is.

Diaz residence

Back with Star, Marco, and Sophia, we find them sitting in the living room with Marco giving both Star and Sophia a serious look on his face. Marco has had that look since the two of them told him what happened with Pony head. "Star hand over the scissors" Marco asked finally saying something. "What! Why?" Star asked clearly not wanting to hand them over. "While I get that Pony Head and Sophia made up and happy that everyone's fine I want to hang on to the scissors for safekeeping" Marco explained causing Star to look offended and Sophia was chuckling at Star. "Hey, I can be responsible," Star said getting Sophia to chuckle even more. "What are you chuckling about!" Star asked Sophia who calmed down her chuckling to speak.

"He wasn't saying your irresponsible Star. He wants to have them so you don't go dimension-hopping on your own or drag me with you without him knowing, But now that you mention it you are irresponsible" Sophia said getting a pout from Star. While Star was pouting Sophia went and took the scissors from her. "Sophia why!" Star whined as Sophia handed the scissors to Marco. "Star It's not only for those reasons we also need to find a place to put these so we know where they would be if any of us needed them or we want to travel" Marco explained calming Star who was now getting the message but still pouting a bit.

"Alright then, What is with that folder then huh?" Star said pointing at the folder still in Marco's arms. "Oh this folder holds all the forms I have to fill out for my new temp job," Marco said getting a look of surprise from Sophia and Star. "I thought you were just doing some volunteer work at the library" Sophia said getting a nod in return from Marco" Well I did, but they didn't need as much help so I got done early and was about to leave when I saw a help wanted sign. I asked the librarian about it and learned that someone who makes some donations to the library was looking for someone to help with some part-time work." Marco said sticking to the story that he and his master made. "The interview was brief and I was handed forms to fill out. I asked if I could have a folder to put them in so the forms would less likely suffer damage and I did" Marco finished with a bit happy tone getting a giggle from Star and a smile from Sophia who rolled her eyes, but carefully hid her suspicions. 'I feel something off with this' Sophia thought thinking Marco getting this temp job seemed off.

"What makes you think you are a shoo-in for this job if the interview was short?" Sophia asked causing Marco's confidence to deflate. "Aww Come on Sophia can you at least let me have some hope for this" Marco said getting a giggle from both Star and Sophia. "Nope," Both of them said causing them to giggle more.

Marco sighed and shook his head at their antics, but was interrupted when Star suddenly took a deep breath. "Let's go shopping!" Star shouted, getting both siblings to look at her funny. "Star you don't know any of the stores here," Sophia said with Marco nodding in agreement. "No, not here silly. I mean in a different dimension" Star said getting the siblings to understand. Sophia was a bit excited and curious to see what shopping in a different dimension was like, but Marco was a bit wary. "Star are you sure it's a good idea going to a place we've never been" Marco asked getting a small scoff from Star. "Don't worry I'll show you guys a nice small place I tend to browse for stuff" Star said as she opened a portal to the destination in mind. "Okay then, just let me put these papers -" He was cut off when Star grabbed his arm and dragged him through the portal dropping the folder on the table in the living room with Sophia jumping in shortly after and the portal closed leaving an empty living room.

Small Mewmen Market

Marco fell face-first out of the portal while Star came out standing and Sophia slightly tripping on the way through but kept herself from falling over. "Marco, why are you on the floor? It's easy just like going through an open door" Star said barely holding a snicker and Sophia just rolling her eyes. "Yeah, and it definitely feels the same when you dragged through one" Marco said getting off the ground and getting any dirt off his clothes.

All three of them took a short walk up a hill and all of them saw the marketplace. It was the size of a large farmers market with stalls and shops selling as much as they can or trying to get people's attention to sell the items they have. Most of the normal buildings tend to have two floors and show signs that people live up there are most likely the owners of the store. Other shops are mainly Stalls that were set up to only sell items and food, as well as some traveling merchants who are trying to sell 'exotic' items or items that are hard to find.

"Wow, I'm impressed. You won't find some of these things they sell here on earth" Sophia said, getting a nod from Marco and a smug grin from Star. "What did I tell you! I bet you'll find something here that you wouldn't find on earth" Star exclaimed getting chuckles from the siblings at her enthusiasm. "So any ideas for what we should be shopping for" Marco said, getting Star to put her hand under her chin and twirls her wand with the other. "I got the perfect thing for you two. Some mewmin flair will help you look better!" Star said, grabbing Sophia and Marco by their hands and pulled them into the market with the both of them nearly losing their balance. As Star was dragging them through the market Marco and Sophia noticed the stalls seemed to be random at first, but then noticed as they passed each stall seemed to be selling specific items with other items on the side.

"Here we are!" Star said letting go of the twins who both fell on the ground. "Star wear did you bring us exactly" Marco said getting up. "Yeah, and what did you mean by mewmin flair" Sophia said, also getting up. Star looked at both of them with a grin "You know what I mean clothes shopping" Star said gesturing around them. Sophia looked around and saw that Star had dragged them into a clothing area in the market. Sophia was brought out of her thoughts by Marco "Okay you and Star will go look around and I'll explore a bit" Marco said getting a small shocked look from Star. "What why won't you want new clothes" Star asked getting a bit closer to Marco. "no Star it's not that I know I need new clothes because I have to go with the same style for a while now, but I'll prefer to do my own shopping and I don't want you to put me in a dress" Marco said getting fake hurt look from Star. "What I would never do such a thing" Star said holding back a smile while Sophia giggles.

"Come on Star let's go already. We can poke fun at what Marco gets later and I have a good idea on what to do when we get back home" Sophia said, getting Marco to look nervous. "Sophia what are you planning" Marco said as he started to sweat. "Oh don't worry bro it's nothing" Sophia sais walking away with Star. "Lies!" Marco said getting a few giggles from the people around who saw the interaction funny. Marco grumbled as he walked in a different direction from the two girls.

Marco continued to walk around browsing the different stalls and looking through various shops to see what clothes caught his attention that suit his tastes. So far none had caught his attention, but he realized something important. He didn't have any mewni money and didn't expect them to accept earth's money. 'Great I have no money that's good here and no idea where Star and Sophia are' Marco thought about his predicament as he continued to walk around in his thoughts.

Right until a shop door opened in front of him and knocked Marco to the ground. "Oh! I'm sorry sir!" Marco looked up and saw a middle-aged man with graying hair, green eyes wearing blue clothes, but couldn't get a good look at them with the bluish-grey robes he's wearing. "Don't worry I'm fine" Marco said, getting up not noticing that some shoppers and stalls were looking at the scene. "That's good, but I have to make up for my blunder. To make up for it you can have one set of clothes from my shop for free" The shop owner said, causing Marco to have a confused look as he saw him go back in the shop.

Marco stood there for a minute wondering what just happened until another person came out of the store with some clothes. "I heard what he said and I gotta say you're lucky. This guy has some good clothes" That's all the person said before walking away. He passed by Marco when someone else came out of the store and went in the opposite direction the person before did. 'Well he does have other customers and I don't have any money I can use here so this is a win' Marco thought as he walked into the store.

When Marco walked in he noticed that there were a few customers in the store, but didn't pay much mind as he walked through the store to the owner who was getting a few sets of clothes for Marco to look at. "Ah good to see you! I have already set up some full sets of clothes out for you. Take a look at them and let me know if you want any of them. I'll be right back there are a few more sets I wanted to show you so if you don't want any of these then you can take a look at the others" The owner said and walked away.

Marco looked at all the sets and carefully and decided none of these fit his tastes. Marco could tell these are really good clothes, but none of them seemed like clothes he would like to wear. As he set the last one down he noticed the owner put the remaining sets down and picked up the sets he looked at before somehow knowing none of them was what he's looking for. Marco noticed him walking back with the sets he brought out earlier as he was looking through the current ones he brought him. Marco was almost through these when he found it.

Black shoes with calm wavy white lines on it making it look like water was flowing through them. Light black pants with the same wavy white lines going down the side of the legs, but what seems to be something star-shaped going along with the lines all the way down to the bottom of the legs where it was a dark white color that went around the pants feet opening. Finally a white shirt with a black shattered X on both sides of the shirt. Marco knew he found what he was looking for, but could feel something was missing.

"Hey is this the whole set or are there a few pieces missing?" Marco asked, still examining the clothing. "Oh that is the whole set, but I think I did find a few jackets or other wears that could go with it. Give me a minute I'm sure I can find it" The owner said heading back while mumbling on where he put it. Marco looked at him for a minute wondering why he seemed familiar when he noticed a few feet next to him he saw a jacket hoodie and a pair of fingerless gloves.

The jacket's main color was a dark red like his own with black lines going around the edges of it and white lines going along with them on top. Now the gloves were the same color red with black outlining the edges, but in the center of the palms and back of the hand is a pure white circle with lines coming out at random to the black edges. Marco walked up and got them bringing them back to the other clothes. When he brought the jacket and gloves he thought for a second he could sense some magic in them, but only thought it was him imagining things. 'There is no way someone on mewni can have knowledge on that kind of magic as far as I know and even if they did why use it on clothes?' Marco thought before he was brought out of his thoughts by the owner. "Oh looks like you found them! So is this the set you want" The owner asked, Marco, bout he felt the owner knew he had what he wanted. "Yes thank you" Marco responded as he folded and gathered the clothes and put them in a bag the owner offered.

After Marco left the store the owner chuckled to himself "I wonder how long it will take for him to realize it was me who gave him those clothes" He chuckled to himself and the other shoppers in the store suddenly vanished as if they were never real, to begin with.

With Marco

After Marco left the store he went around looking for Sophia and Star. He was walking around until he saw them in the distance with Star looking like she's pestering Sophia about something. "Star for the last time the clothes you picked out are either your tastes in clothing or battle armor!" Sophia said, getting irritated with Star. "Oh come on Sophia" Star said, still trying to convince Sophia, but as she was she spotted Marco. "Oh hey, Marco! How did your clothes search go" Star said, walking up to him and not noticing the clothes he had under his arm.

Marco looks at Star and then sees Sopia's irritated look and took a deep breath "What happened?" Marco asked. "Star kept trying to make me wear clothes she prefers to wear without letting me browse for my own or just trying to get me to wear battle armor" Sophia said, getting Star to look offended. "If that's the case why didn't you say anything?" Star said trying to look like she didn't know. "I did! You just didn't listen!" Sophia said, starting an argument started between the two.

Marco just stood there seeing them argue for the first time and just remembered what the two hinted at what they planned to get him. 'I'm glad they forgot about that.' Marco thought, letting out a sigh. "Well at least I got something out of today" Marco said, getting the both of them to notice the clothes he had. "Wait really!" both of them said, clearly surprised to hear.

"How about we head home first. I think you two need a break from here" Marco said getting both of them to sigh. Star opened a portal back home, but before she went through she sees Marcos clothes and for a moment had a glint in her eyes that showed she was about to do something right when they get back home. Marco noticed this and held the clothes tighter and prepared for whatever Star had planned, while Sophia just shook her head and sighed having a feeling on what she might pull.

After the all left through the portal the Store that Marco went into suddenly disappeared creating a panic at the marketplace due to the sudden and mysterious disappearance of a store.
