Chapter 2
Kevin and Scammer sat on the back porch.
"I can't believe our first middle school party is tonight," Kevin said.
"And at Carl Henderson's house," Scammer said. "We're in with the cool kids."
Kaleb walked out onto the porch.
"Did I hear you say Carl Henderson?" Kaleb asked.
"Yes," Kevin replied.
"Isn't he Tyson Henderson's little brother?" Kaleb asked.
"Yes," Kevin replied.
"Tyson is known for his make-out parties," Kaleb said.
"This isn't a make-out party," Scammer said. "It's just a party and his parents are going to be there."
"Oh," Kaleb said.
Kyle walked onto the porch.
"I have to go help Mandy pick out a wedding dress," Kyle said.
"Why?" Kaleb asked.
"I'm part of her entourage," Kyle replied in an irritated tone.
Kyle patted Kevin on the shoulder.
"You have fun at the party," Kyle said.
A few hours later, Kevin and Scammer walked up to the front porch of Carl's house. They rang the doorbell and Carl opened the door.
"Cleaver, Haskell," Carl said. "You're here. Come in."
Kevin and Scammer followed Carl into the house to see other middle school students. They then noticed Carl's parents were missing.
"Where are your parents?" Kevin asked.
"Oh," Carl said. "They went to Cleveland for the weekend."
"But you said your parents were here," Kevin said.
"I lied," Carl replied. "Haskell, follow me."
Scammer followed Carl into the living room where a young girl Scammer's age sat on the couch.
"Theresa," Carl said. "This is Scammer Haskell. You'll be with him tonight."
Kevin walked into the living room.
"Carl?" Kevin asked. "Is this a make-out party?"
"Of course it is," Carl replied.
Carl pointed at another young girl.
"You'll be with Claire," Carl said.
