Chapter 3

Kyle, Neddie, and Andrea sat on a couch at a bridal shop.

"We've been here for hours," Kyle said. "Why hasn't Mandy picked a wedding dress yet?"

"Kyle," Andrea said. "One doesn't just simply pick a wedding dress. One must find 'the' dress."

"How does one find 'the' dress?" Kyle asked.

"The bride will see her reflection and instantly feel like a princess," Neddie said. "And then she'll cry. And that's how you know she's found 'the' dress."

"Yeah, how did I not realize you were bi sooner?" Kyle asked.

Mandy walked into the room wearing simple white wedding dress.

"So?" Mandy asked. "What do you think?"

"I love it," Kyle said. "Now look at your reflection."

Mandy looked at the mirror.

"So?" Kyle asked. "Feel like a princess? Want to cry?"

"No," Mandy said. "This dress is so blah. On to the next one."

Meanwhile, Kevin sat on the front porch of Carl's house waiting for Kaleb to pick him up. Scammer walked out of the house.

"Kevin," Scammer said. "What are you doing out here? The party is inside the house?"

"I'm going home," Kevin replied. "Kaleb is on his way to get me."

"Why do you have to be so uncool?" Scammer asked. "We're finally in with the cool kids."

"I don't want to be a part of a make-out party," Kevin said. "Don't you realize we could get in a lot of trouble?"

"Whatever," Scammer said. "I'm going back inside. See you later."

"Scammer," Kevin said. "Please don't."

"I thought you were my best friend," Scammer said.

"I am," Kevin said.

"Not anymore," Scammer said.

Kaleb pulled into the driveway as Scammer went back into the house. Kevin quickly got into the car and buckled.

"Are you okay?" Kaleb asked.

"Yeah," Kevin replied. "Thanks for picking me up."

"You're welcome," Kaleb said. "Let's go to the diner."

As they ate, Kevin told Kaleb what happened.

"And then Scammer told me I was uncool and that I wasn't his friend anymore and went back inside," Kevin said.

"I'm sorry," Kaleb said.

"I didn't realize being with the cool kids meant to do stupid things," Kevin said. "The cool kids don't even seem that cool anymore."

"I know," Kaleb said. "That's why I don't strive to be like them.

Bomber walked into the diner and noticed them.

"Hey," Bomber said. "If it isn't little Kevin Cleaver."

"He and your hell spawn had a fight," Kaleb said.

"Which one?" Bomber asked.

"Scammer," Kevin replied.

"Scammer, huh?" Bomber asked. "Usually Slicker is the one who starts the fights."
