"Fun? You think all of the death and pain you're causing is fun?" Chara said as more tears ran down her cheeks. "How could any of this be fun? How could killing so many innocents be considered fun?!"

"Oh Chara, you couldn't possibly begin to understand." Frisk said as her twisted smile grew wider. "You can't understand what it feels like to have so much LOVE swelling up inside you as your victim turns to dust. Of how much strength you get, allowing you to destroy any in your way, it's intoxicating."

So that's it then... Chara thought as Frisk giggled to herself. She's a megalomaniac, someone who's obsessed with power.

Tears continued to run down Chara's face when suddenly Frisk's smile fell as her features softened. She walked up to Chara and reached towards her as if to hold one of her hands, but stopped just an inch away.

Letting her arm drop Frisk looked at Chara with her closed eyes and said, "It will be okay Chara, everything will be just fine in the end." Before turning around and walking through the open doorway.

Chara wiped the tears from her eyes as she followed Frisk, while wondering what she could have meant by everything being okay.

In the next room the path was being blocked by two guards in armor. They both immediately noticed Frisk.

"...you're here." the guard on the left said. "So that means Undyne... She's... Like, Undyne! We'll avenge you!"

Both guards attacked but Frisk cut them down like everyone else. Past the guards were three vents on pillars of rock pointed towards the area's exit. Frisk hopped on the first vent and was propelled to the other side. Chara looked down and noticed that the ground looked like it was, strangely, made of poke-a-dot tiles.

As they moved into the area Chara only got more confused as they walked into a fully equipped kitchen. It had everything a kitchen needed, a stove, a refrigerator, two counter tops, many cupboards, a sink, a microwave. There was even a window on the wall that showed a blue sky with white clouds. For a second Chara thought they were back on the surface, and looked up but, instead of endless sky she saw catwalks and lights hanging from the ceiling pointing down on the room. Seeing this, she realized it was a set for what appeared to be a cooking show.

Frisk didn't seem surprised by any of this as she continued walking straight forward. They both moved towards the exit, passing by a counter that had a single can sitting on it. As she floated past it Chara looked at the can and saw that the label said MTT-Brand Always-Convenient Human Soul Substituteā„¢. She noticed that the can was glued to the table for some reason.

As they left the set they came across a save point that Frisk used. In the distance Chara could see an enormous machine sitting on top of a massive pool of lava. The top of the machine had huge cables and tubes reaching towards the Underground's ceiling and disappearing into the dark. A low constant humming could be heard emanating from the machine. Chara recognized the machine immediately as the CORE. The CORE was responsible for providing the entire Underground with power by converting geothermal energy into magical electricity.

Walking forward they came across an elevator, Frisk stepped inside and pressed the button for the highest available level. The doors slid shut and a low humming sounded as the elevator rose to it's destination. After reaching the top and stepping out Frisk was now standing on a purple platform. Off to the sides of the platform were various spinning cogs and gears that were apart of the CORE's exterior.

Frisk and Chara moved forward and came across what looked like a bake sale that had spiderwebs here and there. A table was set up with a croissant and a doughnut on display. To the right of the table was a sign and two spiderwebs. As Frisk walked past the spiderwebs Chara peered at the labels attached to them. The first said Spider Doughnut 9999G while the second said Spider Cider 9999G.

Chara's jaw dropped at seeing the ridiculous prices before she said, "Who would pay that much just for a doughnut?!"

Frisk didn't answer as she silently continued walking into the next area. They came across several small platforms that all had vents pointed in different directions. Frisk hopped on the first one, and made her way to the other side of the room. Chara noticed that she didn't even get stuck or stop to think before jumping onto the next vent.

It's almost as if she knew exactly which vent to jump on to progress. She thought as she floated over the platforms.

After walking through another open door they found a save point in front of a building that had a few spiderwebs covering it. Frisk saved before proceeding through the door into the one room building. Inside were countless spiderwebs hanging from the walls, some were just laying on the floor, a huge spiderweb formed a bridge, and hanging from the ceiling were several purple spiders.

As Frisk made her way towards the building's exit one of the spiders said, "Ahuhuhuhu... Did you hear what she said?"

Frisk continued walking while another spider said, "They said a human wearing a striped shirt will come through here."

Frisk ignored them and continued walking as another spider chimed in, "I heard that they hate spiders."

As Frisk stepped onto the web bridge Chara noticed that she slowed down slightly while the spiders continued to talk more to themselves, "I heard that they hate everybody."

Frisk was a third of the way across the bridge and slowed down further as more webs stuck to her boots, and another spider said, "I heard that they like to tear their legs off."

Frisk gritted her teeth as she pushed through the webs before coming to a complete halt halfway across.

A final voice came from the ceiling directly above them. This one sounded high pitch and girly to Chara as it said, "I heard..."

Chara looked up and saw the voice's owner was a young monster girl that had the traits of a spider. She had light purple skin, black hair tied up in twin pigtails, five eyes, six arms and two legs. She wore a red romper suit and had a red ribbon tied around her neck.

She lowered herself down to the side of the bridge next to Frisk as she continued saying, "...that they have some awful taste. What a shame. A human comes through here and they aren't even fit to be eaten. Oh well! Rotten ingredients can always be discarded."

She giggled before pulling Frisk into a FIGHT. Chara quickly looked away before Frisk pressed the FIGHT button, not wanting to watch as the spider girl was cut down in a single stroke. Chara opened her eyes and was surprised to see that the FIGHT wasn't over yet. Before she could ask Frisk what was going on she saw a single small spider scuttle over to the spider girl's pile of dust. After a brief pause the spider quickly ran out of sight before returning with a single flower, placing it gently on the girl's dust.

Chara could feel tears welling up in her eyes before noticing that Frisk had cut herself free from the spiderwebs and was moving towards the spider. The spider froze as Frisk raised her foot above it, aiming to stomp on the terrified spider.

Chara's mind started racing as she began to panic. She knew she had to do something, when she suddenly thought back to what Frisk had said before fighting the two royal guardsmen. How for just a few seconds Frisk had spoken kindly to her, tried to reassure her that everything would be alright, as if a completely different Frisk had taken her place.

Chara quickly jumped in front of Frisk and brought her face just a couple of inches away from Frisk's. Frisk froze, surprised by Chara's sudden appearance.

"Frisk, please." Chara said as she stared unblinkingly at Frisk's eyelids. "I'm begging you, please don't do this."

"Why not?" Frisk challenged as her twisted smile made it's way onto her face. "I've killed so many others, what's one or two more?"

"Please Frisk, you don't have to do this, just let the spider go. Please just let this one go."

"Why should I do that? What reason do I have to not just crush it beneath my boot like the bug that it is?"

"For my sake, please for my sake, just leave the poor thing alone."

Then, something happened that Chara was not expecting, Frisk's smile fell as her features softened, replacing the psychotic megalomaniac Frisk with that of the Frisk that had first fallen into the Underground back in the Ruins so long ago.

"Alright Chara, for you, I'll let the spider go." Frisk said softly as she slowly lowered her boot down to the floor away from the spider who, seeing that they were not about to be stomped on, quickly scuttled out of sight, ending the FIGHT.

"I'm sorry Chara, you should probably look away from my FIGHTs from now on." Frisk said before walking towards the exit.

Chara stayed where she was, completely dumbfounded that she was able to talk her down. After several seconds of pondering, by which time she began to get pulled along by Frisk, she thought to herself.

Frisk, deep down she's not really a bad person. It's like she doesn't want to do this, yet it's as if she's forcing herself to. she thought. And the way she's been acting and talking, that's not really her. It has to be all of the LOVE she's gathered, it must be causing her to act this way. That must be it!

Chara decided that she had to find a way to separate Frisk from all of the LOVE she had gained. Frisk was clearly gathering it all for something, but the why would have to wait. Right now she had concentrate on bringing Frisk's LOVE back down to one.
