Early morning, Jackie woke up to see Catherine asleep on the couch. Jackie continued to have a lot of pain in her wrist. Jackie buzzed the nurse, and within seconds the nurse came in. Jackie told her she was in a lot of pain. The nurse told her she needed to wait another hour to get the next dose of Morphine. Jackie started crying and begging her for some pain relief as Catherine woke up. The nurse said, "Ms. Kirk, I am sorry, you will have to wait. Jackie told the nurse she wanted to see the doctor. Catherine immediately went over to try to comfort Jackie. "Catherine, please call the doctor! I can't take much more, it hurts." Catherine went out and asked the supervisory nurse to call the doctor, the nurse immediately did so knowing Jackie Kirk was a celebrity.

Catherine went back into get Jackie to calm down, Catherine felt Jackie's forehead and she had a fever. "Jackie, the doctor is being called." But, nothing seemed to console her, 15 minutes later the doctor walked in and examined Jackie. The doctor gave Jackie the morphine himself and gave her a sedative. As Jackie fell asleep, the doctor told Catherine that the amount of pain she is feeling is expected. He ordered a few more exams and left the room. Nurses came an hour later to change Jackie's catheter, and to change her gown. Catherine refused to leave her side as the nurses worked. Catherine got to see her wrist and it looked painful.

Rachel got to the hospital around 9am, Catherine told her Jackie was in a lot of pain and that the doctor gave her a sedative. Catherine told Rachel she needed a shower and food. Rachel called Ramon, the driver, to take Catherine to Jackie's house. The hospital was about 30 minutes to Jackie's house in Los Feliz. Catherine was amazed by Jackie's house. Ramon brought in her bags and the maid showed her to the guest bedroom. Jackie's home was beautiful, Catherine walked around and entered Jackie's bedroom. Jackie's room was simple, but very elegant. Catherine saw a picture of Ethan on her night stand. Jackie loved that dog. As she walked through the entire house the views were amazing, Catherine could see downtown L.A. from all the windows.

As Catherine walked back to the guest bedroom, the maid asked her if she wanted breakfast. Catherine said, "yes, please". Catherine took her time showering and getting ready. She wanted to look good for Jackie. As Catherine went downstairs the maid seated her in Jackie's amazing patio, Catherine thought about how much she loved Jackie's home and couldn't ever imagine Jackie ever wanting to live anywhere else. The maid told her that Ms. Kirk ate breakfast every morning in this same spot, it was her favorite place. Catherine's house was nothing compared to Jackie's house. Immediately after breakfast, Catherine was ready to return to the hospital. As they drove out of the gated community, Ramon pointed out to Catherine the celebrities that lived in each house. Kristen Stewart lived next door to Jackie's house. Ramon talked about the amount of pool parties Kristen Stewart had. Ramon even told Catherine that Kristen Stewart had sent Jackie flowers once. He said he thought that they were dating when Jackie first moved in, Catherine immediately was jealous and changed the subject. During the drive, Catherine quietly did a search thru her phone on Kristen Stewart. Catherine laughed out loud as she knew she wasn't Jackie's type, plus Kristen was in a very public relationship with a screenwriter.

Catherine entered Jackie's hospital room and saw Jackie wasn't there. Wade and Rachel were both working on their laptops as they informed Catherine that Jackie had been taken away to be seen by a specialist. Upon Jackie's return, Jackie seemed better. Her wrist looked as expected and Jackie would probably be released by tomorrow night. Pain management treatment was also discussed and reconfigured for Jackie. Wade and Rachel both left to give Jackie and Catherine some privacy. As Catherine sat next to Jackie, she told Jackie her house was amazing. Things got quiet between them as they stared into each others eyes. Catherine wanted to talk to her about the interview she had given and what Jackie had said, but thought the time was not right. Catherine settled on saying, "Porcupine, I've missed you." Catherine instantly looked away as she felt the sting of her tears forming in her eyes.

" Catherine, Why didn't you ever call me? " Jackie said. Catherine didn't answer her right away. After a pause, Catherine went over and kissed her forehead and told her she was sorry. That night at the hospital, they talked into the night about everything, except their relationship. Jackie talked about the movie, her home, and L.A. life. Catherine talked about her article being published, Ethan, and about how scared she was about starting her job hunt.

Once again Catherine stayed the entire night, in the morning Jackie asked doctors for a shorter cast and wanted it blue instead of white. So her doctors did a do over. Jackie wouldn't allow anyone to sign her cast except for Catherine. Catherine drew a small heart with her and Jackie's initial where no one could see it. Jackie rolled her eyes with a smile. Catherine winked at her when she saw Jackie's reaction.

Catherine helped Jackie get her clothes on as they got ready to leave the hospital. Jackie felt uncomfortable with Catherine getting her dressed and told her the nurse could do it. But Catherine said, "Jackie, don't be silly, I've seen you naked a hundred times." At that Catherine caught her comment, and looked up at Jackie to see her face was a deep red. Catherine did not say anything more as she continued to get her ready to leave. Wade, Rachel, Ramon and two security guards exited with Jackie through the private exit. Several fans and photographers caught her SUV as it exited the area. Catherine heard several girls screaming Jackie's name as they pulled away quickly.

Jackie was happy to be home. Jackie told everyone she was tired and her hand was throbbing that she'd see them tomorrow. As Catherine helped Jackie into her PJs and got her comfortable in her bed. Jackie told Catherine that Rachel would be hiring her a nurse. Catherine said, "I guess, I will be leaving sooner than I thought." Stunned, Jackie asked, " Why?" Catherine responded by telling Jackie that she had come all this way to take care of her, and if she hired someone than she wouldn't be needed here anymore. Catherine said, "Jackie, I want to take care of you. Please let me."

Jackie became quiet as Catherine asked the maid to bring in their dinner. Catherine and Jackie ate in bed watching a movie. After dinner, Catherine helped Jackie get up and get ready for bed. Jackie brushed her teeth as Catherine helped her with the tooth paste. Catherine got Jackie back into bed and elevated her arm with several pillows. As Catherine kissed Jackie on the forehead goodnight, Jackie asked her to stay, but Catherine was afraid that she would hurt her if she slept in the same bed. Jackie begged her as Catherine gave Jackie her medication.

Catherine flipped off the lights as she said, "No. I might hurt you." Catherine retreated to the guest bedroom and got herself ready for bed. As she laid in bed she began to cry. A tremendous sadness over came her as the tears flowed down her cheeks. In the middle of the night, Catherine heard Jackie yelling her name. As she ran next door, Jackie said she was in pain. Catherine gave Jackie a pain killer and a sedative as she lied next to her in bed. Jackie softly said, "Please, don't leave me Catherine." Catherine lied awake watching Jackie sleep like old times.

In the morning, Jackie woke up and saw Catherine asleep next to her. She missed being in bed with her. Catherine was incredibly beautiful. Jackie loved her so much her chest felt tight. As she got up to go to the restroom, Catherine woke up. "Jackie, let me help you." Jackie said, "No, Catherine please let me see if I can take care of my own needs." Catherine knew Jackie was uncomfortable and let her be. As Jackie returned to bed, Catherine smiled at her and snuggled in close to her. Falling back to sleep, Catherine and Jackie woke up at noon. Catherine returned to the guest bedroom to get showered and ready. Catherine then helped Jackie wrap her arm in a plastic bag as she got Jackie ready for a shower. Jackie did the best she could, but she could not open up the shampoo to wash her hair. As she came out of the shower in a towel, she told Catherine she needed to hire a nurse. Catherine knew Jackie was frustrated.

Softly, Catherine asked Jackie, "Why, wont you let me help you. Jackie, we were lovers." Jackie became quiet. After a long pause, Jackie said, " Catherine, I know we were lovers, but we aren't anymore. I feel uncomfortable with you helping me shower and get dressed. Please let me hire a nurse." At that Catherine shook her head up and down and left her alone. As Rachel came up the stairs she ran into Catherine leaving Jackie's bedroom. Catherine told her that Jackie wanted her to hire a nurse. She also told Rachel that Jackie needed some help dressing in the bedroom as she refused her help. Rachel complied and went into the bedroom to help Jackie get ready. Sadly, Jackie felt more comfortable around Rachel than she did Catherine.

At brunch, Catherine and Jackie hardly spoke a word. Jackie knew she had hurt Catherine's feelings by telling her she felt uncomfortable with her. To make it up to her, Jackie invited Catherine to the Santa Monica pier. As Ramon drove the girls to the pier, Jackie told Catherine that this was their first time doing this together. Without thinking, Catherine said, "Jackie, we have had a lot of first times together." Realizing what she said, she looked over at Jackie who was blushing from ear to ear. Catherine had been Jackie's first everything. Sadly, Catherine knew that it was all her fault things ended so badly between them. As they walked the pier, Catherine and Jackie sat on a bench taking in the fresh air. Catherine thought this was a prefect time to get somethings off her chest. Things she regretted never telling Jackie.

Looking at Jackie, Catherine started talking about the interview Jackie had done. She told her that she regretted ever saying to her that she was not worth it to her. In reality she felt the complete opposite of what she had said that night, but thought that Jackie didn't truly feel the same way as she did, because she felt Jackie was leaving her behind by going back to Los Angeles. Catherine told her that she was sorry for hurting her so deeply. Catherine refrained from talking about the night of her indiscretion, she was to ashamed to even discuss that incident with Jackie. She knew it was something so unforgivable that if someone had done that to her, she would of never forgiven them, much less, be talking to them on a pier like Jackie was. Catherine felt ashamed.

Jackie knew Catherine was being sincere, but the damage had already been done. Catherine had broken her heart into a million little pieces regardless if she meant to or not. Jackie did not know how to deal with the feelings she still had for her. Jackie felt ashamed for loving her, for loving someone who did those terrible things to her. Jackie hated herself for loving her so much. Jackie hated herself for needing her. As Jackie tried to speak, she couldn't. Jackie just continued to stare at her without saying a word.

Finally Catherine said, "Why, don't you want to talk about it. You told the world, but now that I'm sitting in front of you and talking to you about it, you don't say anything. Jackie, please talk to me. Tell me how you feel." Jackie couldn't even look at her. As Catherine pushed for a reaction, Jackie continued to look down at her feet. Frustrated, Catherine asked Jackie to take her home. The car home was awkward, so awkward Ramon even asked them if something was wrong. As Catherine exited the SUV, instead of going in the house told Jackie she was going for a walk around the neighborhood. When Jackie offered to go with her, she told Jackie she needed some time alone to think.

Jackie retreated inside her house and decided it be best to go get ready for bed. Her wrist was killing her and things weren't going how she thought they would go between her and Catherine. Maybe things between them were never really meant to be. As Jackie laid in bed, Catherine came to see if she needed anything and to say goodnight, as she kissed Jackie goodnight. Jackie asked, " Catherine, stay with me."

Confused and hurt, Catherine said, "Jackie, how do you want me to stay with you, when you can't even look at me when I'm talking to you. How am I suppose to stay when your not comfortable around me anymore. Jackie, I'm going home tomorrow. I think it is the best thing for the both of us." With that being said, Catherine left Jackie's bedroom and retreated to the guest bedroom.

Early next morning, Catherine asked Ramon to take her to the airport. Catherine flew home to Bloomington. She did not wake Jackie to even say goodbye. Jackie hadn't been able to sleep thinking about Catherine and what she had said to her. This explained her waking up past noon the next day. As Jackie went to look for Catherine in the guest bedroom, she noticed a note on the bed. The note read, "Jackie, thank you for inviting me out to Los Angeles. I was glad to see that your doing well. Please forgive me for not saying good bye, but I needed to get back to Bloomington. P.S. Get well soon. XOXO, Catherine."

Tears began to fall from Jackie's eyes. She regretted not being able to find the words to talk to Catherine. Jackie hurried back to her bedroom to get her phone. She called Ramon. Jackie said, "Ramon, is Catherine still with you?" Ramon heard the desperation in her voice, and said no. Her plane had left a few hours ago. Jackie called Rachel and asked her to rent her a private plane. She told Rachel she wanted to leave in a few hours. As she hung up with Rachel, Jackie had the maid and Ramon ready her things as they left for a private airport.

At the airport, Jackie thought it best not to call Catherine because she would only talk her out of flying to Bloomington. After a five hour flight, it was 9 pm when Jackie's flight landed. Rachel had arranged for a driver to take Ms. Kirk to Catherine's house. As she arrived at Catherine's house, it was close to midnight. Jackie asked the driver to put her luggage on the driveway before he left. Catherine's house was dark, as Jackie approached the front door she heard Ethan barking. Ringing the doorbell, she saw as the light flicked on. Looking out the window, Catherine opened the door for Jackie. Catherine said in shock, "Jackie, what are you doing here?"

In that moment, Jackie responded by asking, "Catherine, why didn't you say goodbye?"
Catherine told Jackie she needed to get home to Ethan which was a lie. Catherine helped bring in Jackie's luggage as she lead her into the living room . Catherine and Jackie sat down on the couch staring at one another without saying a single word. Catherine noticed that Jackie winced in pain as she moved her arm. Jackie was tired and had not taken her medication. Catherine said, "Jackie, you don't look well. Did you take your medication." Jackie replied that she had not as Catherine rose to go through her luggage to located her medication and to go to the kitchen to get her some water. As Catherine returned, she gave Jackie her medication and felt her forehead for any sign of fever. Jackie looked pale. "Jackie, let's get you to bed. Catherine turned off the lights as they retreated to Catherine's bedroom. Catherine lent her a t-shirt to sleep in which Jackie kindly accepted. As Catherine helped Jackie take off her pants, Catherine noticed that Jackie flinched as Catherine removed her pants down her legs.

After getting Catherine's t-shirt on, Jackie got into bed as Catherine put pillows around and under her arm to keep the wrist elevated and protected. Kissing Jackie goodnight on the forehead, Catherine shut off the lights and laid on her side of the bed. Neither Jackie or Catherine could sleep, both wanted to find the words to say anything to each other, but couldn't. Catherine could not believe Jackie flew to Bloomington to see her. Turning towards Jackie, Catherine finally asked, "Jackie, why are you here? " Without further hesitation Jackie said, "Because, I love you."
