Nick and Adalind's Addiction
Grimm Supernatural/Romance
Characters: Nick B, Adalind B.
...
The Grimm and his Hexenbiest witch wife were literally biologically "Addicted" to eachother. The Gypsy's crazy curse had brought this on Nick and Adalind. Together they experienced the mental sharpness, clarity, and energy of cocaine, the soothing and calming of Heroine, and the heightening of emotions and sensations of Ecstasy.
His scent of violence and blood when committing violence was nearly pure adrenaline and rage. Like her mother, she was powerfully and helplessly attracted to this violence and she would find herself unconsciously drawn to licking it back off his skin. The Grimm is the alpha predator in the Wesen world. This one was a police officer - so his days and nights were filled with violence because of who and what he was. The witch always got her fix!
His powerful emotional love for her and the warm friendly companionship of his friends towards her was just as addictive to the spirit of the ancient witch residing inside her. This one had not experienced anything resembling love or companionship in millenia. Wesen and regular Kersite people exuded only fear, loathing, hatred, and disgust towards them. Even the men of her own kind never loved them - they merely tolerated them for temporary advantage. So the witch got her fix!
And he craved her just as fiercely. She unconsciously moderated and cooled his uncontrollable rage and bloodlust. His endless murder filled nightmares disappeared when he slept next to this her. Her touch manipulated his chaotic rage filled emotions and filled him with calm, contentment, balance, love, and happiness. So the Grimm got his fix.
But when they were torn apart, they crashed into withdrawal. The longer they were apart the worse the withdrawal pain became.
The witch poured into malice, spite, revenge, hatred, murder, and vindictive witching. The Grimm was overcome with nonstop rage, murder, and endless nightmares every time he closed his eyes. He didn't sleep, he didn't eat - all he did was hunt and kill.
And all their friends finally recognized these two were each other's only antidote. The Wesen especially worked hard to keep the Grimm with his Witch for their own protection. These two would pour into murder, rage, and malice and their friends knew not even their friendship would spare them when withdrawal set in. Everyone saw how powerfully this antidote quieted, calmed, and soothed the vicious monsters that resided within.
And when they finally found eachother the endless violence and malice found it's only antidote. They were completely and totally overcome by the desire for satiation of their withheld cravings to cool the burning pain, emptiness, and uncontrollable emotion that wracked their souls.
They had never wanted more than one or two children, but every time they finally hunted and killed their way back together after long separation, they lost control and succumbed to their addiction. And every time the family grew larger by one new child.
And the world would not leave them alone.
