Review Response:

Guest: Hello! Yeah... about that schedule... It didnt work quite as well as I hoped, so it's now just that I complete at least one hour of writing a day (started as of a couple days ago) but keep in mind I cycle through all my stories. This should lead to more frequent updates!

Allison POV:

I could only look on in horror. I was supposed to be a hunter. I knew this. Why was I so helpless? We were back in the shed, and I was staring at my dad. He was so still; I knew he was dead. Blood also covered the floor, the walls, everything. He was lying splayed out on the floor, with Stiles hovering over him, fully vamped out. His fangs glinted in the darkness, and his eyes were almost black. Blood dripped off of his teeth as well as his chin while he took a break from draining the literal life out of my dad. I struggled from my position on the ground to stop him. He paused, hearing my movement, and locked eyes with me. "Stiles." My voice cracked as I tried to speak through a sob, "No. Don't." He smiled. I screamed.

Something grabbed me. I screamed harder, thrashing against the force trying to pin me to the ground. My eyes shot open. I wasn't in the shed. I frantically tried to gain my bearings. White sterile walls boxed me in while I was tangling the already twisted white sheets in the hospital bed.

"Allison! Allison calm down. It's okay, it was just a nightmare." I looked at the source of the voice as I forced the tension out of my body. It was Scott's mother.

"Melissa…?" She nodded at me, before releasing her grip, "My dad…"

"It's okay." She said, brushing some of my raven locks out of my eyes, "He's alive. He will be okay."

I sagged into the hospital bed. "Good." I sat up slowly, as Melissa sat down next to me. I glanced at my right wrist. It was snugly encased in a white cast. No more shooting my bow for at least a couple weeks.

"Can you tell me what happened sweetie?" She softly inquired, "No one really knows, and your dad is still recovering."

I let out a slow breath. "Well, as Scott probably told you, Stiles is now a vampire." She nodded, slight tears filling in her eyes. Of course, Stiles was practically her son as well. This wasn't going to be easy. My heart went out to the nurse. She slid her hands into mine, giving me a slight squeeze to encourage me to continue. I licked my lips and started again. "As hunters, what we know about vampires is pretty limited. They are- or have the possibility to be- very dangerous creatures. As of right now, we figured that in a controlled environment, Stiles might be able to assert some sort of control over his… instincts. Evidently, that was wrong. He seemed okay at first, but then, when my dad tried to stop him from taking too much blood, he snapped. I tried to stop him! But then he- he- turned on me too. I thought I was going to die." I slipped my good hand out of her grip, covering my mouth as a sob worked its way up my throat. "I think- I think he's no longer himself."

Melissa very quickly pulled me into a tight hug. She smoothed the top of my head, softly saying, "We don't know for sure. You should talk to Scott once you check out of the hospital, he wanted to talk to you." I nodded into her scrubs, before sniffing and pulling away. I had a feeling she just wanted to make me feel better. Despite all the evidence I currently had, I held out the hope that Stiles was still Stiles. If he truly was a monster… no. I couldn't think like that.

"My dad… how is he?" I asked, fiddling with a corner of the sheet.

Melissa let out a small sigh before making eye contact with me. "I'm not going to sugar-coat it for you Allison. He lost a lot of blood, so he already has had four pints of blood transfused into his system. He still hasn't woken up, but that is pretty normal for patients in blood loss situations. However, the damage to his throat was… extreme. His esophagus was pressured enough that we had to realign it in the throat area. His vocal cords, on the other hand, were shredded. He will have to eat soft foods for a while until his throat heals, but he will have to partake in voice therapy. We are not sure, but overtime, he might be able to regain his speech."

The floor spun beneath me. "Oh." I heard myself reply, "I understand." Regain his speech? My dad was rendered mute. I swallowed hard. She did say there was a chance that he could eventually come out okay, but this was going to change our lives forever. I don't know how I feel. In one hand, I am glad my dad was okay. He is alive! On the other, I have a burning anger at whatever was left of Stiles for doing this to my family, Scott included. Then again, I was hoping he was still himself, horrified by the possibility that Stiles was forever gone. I took my whirlwind of emotions, and shoved them to the side. I will deal with all this after I had the chance to talk to Scott. Oh, Scott. He is probably dealing with this all on his own, with me in the hospital, his mom on shift, and his best friend who knows where.

"Are you okay?" Melissa's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Yes." I swung my legs over the edge of the bed. I glanced over at the clock sitting on the desk. It read seven am. I still had time to catch Scott before school started.

Thirty minutes later, I was free. After checking out of the hospital I walked down to Scott's house. Walking up to the door, I rang the doorbell. It swung open. Immediately, I was swept up into Scott's arms. I sighed, relaxing into his arms.

"You're okay." He muttered into my hair, before pulling away and kissing my cheek gently. "Do you uh- want to come in?"

I smiled softly before gabbing his hand in mine. "Of course. We need to talk." He nodded, before leading me into his house. We sat down on the living room couch, sitting so close our thighs were touching. I laced my fingers through his, not wanting to let go.

"You scared me Allison." Scott said softly.

"I know." I gave his hand a soft squeeze, "I'm okay though."

"Is your dad okay?" Scott asked.

"Yes. He's alive. He will have to recover from this though. I don't know how hard it's going to be. God, this is so messed up. How are you doing?"

"Terrible." Scott said, running his free hand aggressively through his hair, "Stiles is missing. He has been missing for over twenty-four hours at this point. I can't even track him because vampires don't have a scent to follow!" His hand tightened on mine in frustration.

I pulled away getting to my feet, "You're trying to find him?" I was suddenly angry.

"Well, yes."

"He nearly killed me and my father!" I cried out, "He's no longer the Stiles you think he is! He has no control, he would have killed both of us, and if you go after him, he might hurt you!"

Scott shot to his feet then, "No, Allison, he's still Stiles. When I got there, I snapped him out of his vamp mode. He was himself!"

"Scott, if that's true, then where is he?" I shot back, "The Stiles I know never runs away from his problems."

My boyfriend was quiet for a minute. "I don't know. He ran as soon as he realized what he had done. He was a blur, like that vamp that turned him. But, if he's out there, alone, I have to find him."

"Why?" I challenged, "He might not want to be found. We might not want to find him." Scotts face crumpled, and I instantly felt guilty. I knew why I didn't want to go after Stiles. Part of me was still scared.

"He was the only one who helped me when I was turned. He was the one who put his life on the line to make sure I wasn't going to close control. He's probably scared out of his mind right now, with no way to deal with his new powers. It's overwhelming. I used to blackout whenever I turned. I used to wake up in the woods without knowing how I got there. Vampires are much different then werewolves, but I have to help him somehow. I have to." Scott explained.

"Okay." I said, stepping forward to pull him into a hug, "Okay, we'll try to find him. We have to know what we are getting into. You have to let me take the lead on this."

He nodded into my shoulder, "Yes ma'am. You're the boss."
