The story is focused on Peter and Chris. They were together in high school but it ended and now years later they have a second chance to be together. Will they be together in the end?

This is an inspired Romeo and Juliet story. I will be setting it in 2011, but in my version everyone is normal. I like my work to be original. If anyone is saying you need to stick to how the story was written on a show or movie, let me say you don't have to do that.

I also want to acknowledge that I don't owe anything that belongs to Teen Wolf.

Prologue

In the small town of Beacon Hills

Where the townspeople are civil

Except for two families who have feud

That are known as The Argents and The Hales.

As to what began this feud between the families,

It had to with business.

Gerald Argent was promised a business deal with a well known company,

But when he learned another company got the deal he was furious.

Gerald assumed it was Hale Enterprise, and vowed a feud with them.

Talia Hale tried to convince Gerald Hale that it was not true

But he refused to believe that,

And that is why the feud continues.

But what can't be changed is the feelings that Peter and Chris have,

So, for this time around can they make it last forever?

Beacon Hills

The time is 1:45 p.m.

Talia Hale is on the phone with her brother Peter.

Peter: Talia, I thought you respected what I wanted.

Talia: I do but Peter I want you to move back to Beacon Hills with Malia.

Peter: I can't do that!

Talia: Give me a good reason why not!

Peter: Because I don't want to be living in a small town.

Talia: That's an excuse and you know it.

Peter wasn't happy with Talia saying that to him.

Talia: You left because of what happened between you and Chris.

Peter: No! (He lied to himself)

Talia: Peter, if things had worked out between the both of you then you would have never left Beacon Hills.

Peter: I don't know!

Talia also was thinking in her mind whether or not she should tell her brother that Chris was moving back to Beacon Hills.

Peter: When I left for New York it felt like a great start for me. and it really has been. There's nothing you can say that will make me move back to Beacon Hills with Malia.

What Talia was going to say the next moment was something she had to tell him because he had the right to know, but there was also the possibility it wouldn't work at all.

Peter: If there is nothing left to say...

Talia: Chris is moving back to Beacon Hills.

When Peter heard that the person he loved more than anything was moving back to Beacon Hills, he just didn't know what to say right now to Talia.

Talia: If you want to have a second chance with him then you'll come back to Beacon Hills.

It didn't take long for him to say a quick response back to her.

Peter: That is never going to happen. (He lied to himself)

Talia: I don't believe that Peter. I never believed that you ever got over Chris.

Peter: I'm going to hang up now!

Talia: Okay! Bye!

Peter: Bye!

Seconds later the conversation is over.

Peter is still feeling in shock that the man he still loves will be moving back to Beacon Hills.

Moments later he starts to have a flashback of when Chris broke up him

(Flashback)

Peter: So, what was so important that you needed me to know?

Chris: It's over between us! (He lied)

Peter: What? (He says in a shocked tone)

Chris: I really thought we could be happy together.

Peter: Christopher, you don't mean this!

Chris: You have to move on!

Peter: No! You're the only one I want to be with. If there's something I did.. I will do anything to fix it.

Chris: You didn't!

Peter: Then why are you doing this unless... your Father is making you do this.

Chris: He's not! (He lied)

Peter could tell by looking in his eyes that he was lying.

Chris: You should be happy with someone more deserving than me!

Peter: I don't want that! Why are you letting your Father do this to us?

Christopher really didn't want to end things between them but then he was reminded of what his Father told him in a flashback.

(Flashback)

Gerald: If you don't end things between you and the Hale boy, then I'm afraid I'm going to have to do something about it.

Chris: You can't mean that! (He said in a shocked tone)

Gerald: Are you sure because the thing I'm very capable of is making sure things happen to people who are in my way.

Chris: I don't believe you!

Gerald: I have had my loyal followers keep on watch on the Hales and if I told them to do something to them, they would follow my orders.

Chris: Leave them alone! They're great people!

Gerald: No! I'm going to make them pay for what they have done to me.

Chris: They've done nothing to you!

Gerald: Talia and Martin Hale are responsible for stealing away the company I was going to do business with.

Chris: They are not! You just refuse to believe it was somebody else.

Gerald: So, your love for them has turned you against your own family.

Chris: No! The only thing that has changed is what I was taught by you.

Gerald: Well, what I'm going to say next is going to make you do exactly what I want.

Chris: No! There's nothing you can see that is going to make me believe you going to do anything harmful to the Hales.

Gerald: So, if I said I could made preparations necessary to make sure you will never see Peter again, will you change you mind?

Chris: I would find him because of what I was taught to do by you.

Gerald: Yes, but it could be a long time before you find him. Also, do you think it would be fair to his family to suffer not knowing where he is.

Chris: No!

Gerald: So, I guess it means you will do what I ask of you.

Chris: Yes, even though it will kill me to do so.

(End of Flashback)

Chris: Because if I don't my Father will make sure to cause harm to you and your family.

Peter: No! If we tell Talia about what your Father is going to do, she will do anything possible to make sure her family is protected.

Chris: No! I would blame myself if anything happened to your family.

Peter: So, you would rather do what your Father wants instead of being with me.

Chris: I don't know what my Father is capable of doing. I have to make sure you and your family are safe.

Peter: I hate you for doing this.

Chris: I hate myself too, but it's for the best.

Peter: No, it's not! I want you to know that even though I hate you for doing this I still love you.

Chris: It will change.

Peter: No! Maybe we can't be together right now we'll be together again someday.

Chris: I want to believe that but..

Peter: Trust me Christopher! We will!

(End of Flashback)

Peter: Could we be together again? (He wonders to himself)

Meanwhile in Beacon Hills

Talia is now in her husband's office talking to her about her brother Peter.

Martin: So, are you disappointed that he didn't say yes?

Talia: Yes, but I'm hoping he will reconsider because of me telling him that Chris is moving back here.

Martin: I think he will because he did love him.

Talia: I'm going to have to tell Chris that I told Peter that he's moving back here.

Martin: It's the right thing to do.

A little time later

Beacon Hills

It is 12:30 p.m.

Derek is in town just passing time when he runs into his Mom seconds later.

Talia: Hey!

Derek: Hey!

Talia: So, where are you headed too?

Derek: I don't know Mom! I didn't really on going somewhere in particular today!

Talia: Okay! I have to go finish errands before I can go back to the office. Will I see you at home for dinner?

Derek: Yes!

Talia: Okay! Bye!

Seconds later she starts walking towards the grocery store and Derek continues to head towards the high school.

Time goes by

New York

It is about 5:30 p.m.

Peter thought if he distracted himself by reading through manuscripts that he wouldn't think of Chris, but it didn't really work for him. He also didn't also notice that his daughter Malia had walked in until he glanced up a second later.

Malia: Dad, what's wrong?

Peter: I really don't want to talk about it right now.

Malia: I know what it's about. I talked to Aunt Talia.

When Peter heard that he wasn't really mad that his sister mentioned to his daughter about Chris moving back to Beacon Hills.

Malia: She didn't mention it to me until I asked.

Peter: I don't care! (He lied to himself)

Malia: Dad, I know you well enough to know that you're lying to yourself. I know he hurt you but maybe you two can be together again.

Peter: I don't know! Maybe I wanted to believe that we could be but...

Malia: As much as you try to tell yourself that you know that it isn't true.

Peter: Malia, it doesn't matter that I still love him.

Malia: Yes, it does Dad.

Peter was thinking let's say they could get back together would it really last?

Malia: So, that is why we should go to Beacon Hills.

Peter: I can't Malia!

Malia: You need to! You deserve to be happy!

Peter: I am happy! (He lied to himself)

Malia: No, you're not! You pretend that you are but Dad I have noticed how miserable you are.

Peter was his shock because he thought he had hid it from his daughter, but somehow she noticed and

Malia: I think there are things that you need to say to Chris that you couldn't say to him sixteen years ago.

Peter: Well, maybe!

Malia: So, let's go to Beacon Hills for the rest of the summer!

Peter: I don't know if I can do that!

Malia: Dad, you can because you deserve a break from work.

Peter: I'll have to talk to my boss about it.

Malia: Okay!

Peter: Is there anything else that you need to talk to me about?

Malia: No, but I do have to tell you that I'm going out to have dinner with my friend Lacey.

Peter: Okay! Is forty enough?

Malia: Dad, we're just going for pizza!

Peter: Is there anything you girls are doing after that?

Malia: We might go see a movie!

Peter: Then you need the $40.

Malia: Fine! Also, can I sleep over at her house tonight?

Peter: Are her parents okay with that?

Malia: Yes!

Peter: Okay!

Malia: Thanks Dad!

Peter: Call me tomorrow to let me know when you will be home!

Malia: I will!

Seconds later he hands her the forty dollars and then she heads to get overnight bag packed to take to Lacey's house.

Meanwhile in Beacon Hills

It is about 3:35 p.m.

Cora is at home when Derek gets home.

Derek: Hey!

Cora: Hey! Why are you back early?

Derek: I guess I just didn't feel like doing anything!

Cora: Okay!

Derek: How was your day?

Cora: Cool! You're not going to believe who I ran into today?

Derek: Who?

Cora: Stiles!

Derek: How is he?

Cora: Great! We're going to hangout tomorrow! You want to come?

Derek: Stiles and I...

Cora: He told me that you two almost kissed!

Derek: I can't believe he told you that! (he says in a surprised tone)

Cora: Well, I think he finds it easier to talk to me.

Derek: So, is he...

Cora: He's disappointed that you've been distant.

Derek: I don't know what to do.

Cora: You have to decide whether or not you want more than friendship with him.

Derek: I do want more than friendship with him! I just think he still wants to be with Lydia?

Cora: Did you ask Stiles that?

Derek: No!

Cora: I'll ask him for you!

Derek: Please don't! (he says in an embarrassed tone)

Cora: Then you ask him!

Derek: I don't know if I can!

Cora: I can't believe you! You would rather worry about it than having the nerve to ask Stiles why the kiss almost happened?

Derek: Well, I guess I'm just insecure about things!

Cora: I really thought you were a tough guy Derek but really you're just a teddy bear underneath!

Derek: Don't tell anyone else that!

Cora: I won't because you're my brother! So, you want to watch a movie?

Derek: No! I'm going to go into my room!

Cora: Okay!

Then Derek heads to his room to sulk while Cora goes to watch a movie!

Sometime later

It is about 6 p.m.

Talia has just gotten home

Cora: Hey Mom!

Talia: Hey Cora! Where's your brother?

Cora: In his room sulking!

Talia: Something happened!

Cora: Yes, but I'm going to help him out!

Talia: That's nice!

Cora: What are we having for dinner?

Talia: I don't know!

Cora: So, what happened today with you Mom?

Talia: I talked to your Uncle Peter today!

Cora: How is he?

Talia: He told me that he's happy but I didn't believe him. I also told him that Chris is moving back here.

Cora: How did he take the news?

Talia: He was shocked by the news. When I mentioned that maybe he and Chris could be together now, he responded by saying that is never going to happen.

Cora: So, it means he stills has feelings for Chris?

Talia: Yes! I do believe that by telling him that Chris is moving back to Beacon Hills will make him come back here.

Cora: Well, what if you're wrong Mom?

Talia: I don't think that I am! When I found out that Peter and Chris were dating I wasn't sure it would work because knowing Gerald he was not going to let that last. I was proven wrong because I could see how much they really wanted to be with each other. What I didn't expect was for Chris to breakup with Peter but I never believed he wanted to do that.

Cora: Well, let's not focus on that right now!

Talia: Okay! Tell me did you buy anything from the mall?

Cora: No! I didn't really stay that long to see if I wanted to buy something new!

Talia: Okay! I have to make a few calls!

Cora: Then can we play cards or something?

Talia: That would be great!

Seconds later Cora goes to do something.

Meanwhile in New York

Peter is on the phone with Kristy.

Kristy: I think you and Malia should go to Beacon Hills for the rest of the summer.

Peter: Are you sure because I don't mind working?

Kristy: Peter, you haven't taken a vacation for a long time. I think it's time that you took one.

Peter: I don't know!

Chloe: Peter, you need it.

Peter: I know! It's just...

Kristy: Peter, I think maybe going back home isn't a bad thing to do.

Peter: If I agree to this I'm going to bring a couple of manuscripts to read.

Kristy: I'm okay with it. Also, I'm going to take care of your travel arrangements.

Peter: You don't have to do that!

Kristy: It's no problem at all! Should I make arrangements for you and Malia to leave for California tomorrow?

Peter: I guess that would be fine! Make sure it's scheduled in the afternoon!

Kristy: I will! Peter, make sure you don't make your number one priority work while you're in Beacon Hills.

Peter: Okay! Bye!

Kristy: Bye!

Seconds later the call is over and then Peter goes to pack! He also makes sure to call his daughter to leave a message.

Many hours later

Beacon Hills

It is about 7 a.m.

Talia is about to head to the office early when she sees Cora approaching her.

Cora: Mom, I want to ask if it's okay if I sleepover at Tina's tomorrow night

Talia: It's fine as long as her parents are okay with that!

Cora: They are! You can call them to be sure!

Talia: I'll do that later!

Cora: Okay! Bye Mom!

Talia: Bye!

Meanwhile in New York

It is 9 a.m.

Malia: Dad, I might have to wash clothes!

Peter: That's fine! Kristy told me the car she is sending will be picking us up at 12:00 p.m.

Malia: Okay! I'll go put them in now!

Then Peter goes back to finishing packing but then his cell rings and he decides whether or not he should answer it, but decides if it's important to answer it.

Peter: Hello!

Natasha: Hello Peter!

Peter: Natasha, what's wrong?

Natasha: Nothing! I just wanted to say I hope you and Malia have a nice vacation in Beacon Hills.

Peter: Thanks!

Natasha: Don't worry about anything! I will take care of it.

Peter: Are you sure about that?

Natasha: Yes, I am!

Peter: Okay!

Natasha: I don't want you to be calling me or emailing me anything work related.

Peter: Okay!

Natasha: I will call you in a couple of days to ask how you and Malia are.

Peter: Okay!

Natasha: Okay! Bye!

Peter: Bye!

Seconds later the conversation is over.

A little time later

It is about 10:30 a.m.

Rachel is on the phone with Peter.

Peter: I'll be in Beacon Hills for the rest of the summer!

Rachel: Why are you going to Beacon Hills?

Peter: For vacation!

Rachel: Are you going alone?

Peter: No! Malia is going with me.

Rachel: That's great!

Peter: I can't believe I agreed to this!

Rachel: You always agree to anything your daughter asks you to do.

Peter: I guess what she wants means a lot to me.

Rachel: So, what if I came to Beacon Hills?

Peter: Why would you come?

Rachel: Because I miss being there.

Peter: If you want I wouldn't mind that!

Rachel: Good! Also, you have to introduce me to the rest of your family.

Peter: I will let them know you will be coming and knowing them they will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself.

Rachel: So, I also found out something that you should know about!

Peter: Which is?

Rachel: I've heard that Chris is moving back to Beacon Hills.

Peter: I already know! Talia told me!

Rachel: Are you okay?

Peter: No! Ever since Talia told me that Chris is moving back to Beacon Hills I just can't seem to get him off of my mind.

Rachel: Peter, I know that he hurt you but if you still can't him off your mind it means you're still in love with him.

Peter: So, even if I am it doesn't change that he hurt me.

Rachel: Peter, I believe what Chris did was because he believed it was the right thing to do.

Peter: I know it was. It's just...

Rachel: Peter, get past it. Forgive Chris for what he did because...

Peter: So, even if I run into him what am I supposed to say to him?

Rachel: Well, you start off by saying hey and then asking how he has been?

Peter: Okay! Then I guess I should say how I have been after that?

Rachel: Are you going to mention that you have a daughter?

Peter: Yes, when I feel it's the right time to.

Rachel: Okay! Maybe this time you two could really make it work.

Peter: Rachel, I live in New York with my daughter. Even if we did try a long distance relationship I don't think it would last long.

Rachel: Well, if you really want to make it work with him I think you would put a lot of effort into making it work.

Peter: Can we just not talk about it anymore?

Rachel: Okay! Well, I will call to let you know when I will be in Beacon Hills.

Peter: Okay! Bye!

Rachel: Bye!

Seconds later the call is over.

Malia: Dad, I think you should date Chris again.

Peter: Malia! What did I tell you about listening in on my conversations?

Malia: Not to!

Peter: Why do you still do it anyway?

Malia: Because it's fun! So, Dad tell me when you felt more than friendship for your friend Chris?

Peter: Well, okay! It was around Halloween. Chris tells me he's bringing Cindy Harris to Greg's Halloween party.

(Flashback)

October 28, 1988

Chris: I'm taking Cindy Harris to Greg's Halloween party!

Peter was shocked by that because he thought Chris could do better than Cindy Harris.

Chris: I thought you liked her!

Peter: She's okay!

Chris: Okay! So, who are you taking to the party?

Peter: None!

Chris: There's no girl that you're interested in taking to the Halloween party?

Peter: Not any that I'm interested in!

Chris: Then you could tag alone with me and Cindy!

Peter: No! I'll come alone!

Chris: What if I got you a date?

Peter: Chris, that's not necessary!

Chris: Are you sure?

Peter: Okay!

Chris: Could you wait a few minutes? I have to get something from my locker?

Peter: I don't mind!

Chris: Okay!

Seconds later he heads to his locker and as he's gone Peter is thinking what is wrong with me today?

Malia: Thanks for telling me Dad!

Peter: You're welcome!

Malia: I'm going to get something from the kitchen! Do you want anything?

Peter: No!

Malia: Okay!

Sometime later

Beacon Hills

It is 9:35 a.m.

Talia: Martin, do you have the contract for Harrison?

Martin: No!

Talia: Damn!

Martin: I'll help you look for it.

Talia: No! I have to get going for a meeting at Delicious Desserts.

Martin: Okay!

Talia: I'm terrible at being organized!

Martin: That's okay!

Talia: How sweet of you to say that?

Martin: Oh, before you go you have a lunch meeting today at noon.

Talia: Yes, with Dan for the benefit.

Martin: You should get going!

Talia: Yes!

Then she heads out for the meeting.

Time later

It is 1:15 p.m.

New York

Peter and Malia are on the private jet.

Gene: We will be taking off in five minutes!

Peter: Thank you!

Malia: Dad, where are we staying?

Peter: With Talia and the family!

Malia: Are you sure because we could stay at a hotel?

Peter: Talia is not going to be happy if I do that.

Malia: You have to call her to let her know we'll be in Beacon Hills today!

Peter: Yes! I didn't think about doing it earlier, but I will do it right now.

Seconds later he dials his sister's cell number and when she doesn't answer he leaves her a voicemail.

Malia: This will be a fun trip to take!

Peter: Are you sure you want to go to Beacon Hills than to somewhere exciting like Spain?

Malia: Yes! Besides, maybe being in a small town won't be so bad!

Peter: No! You may change your mind about that! It's not like where in NY you have a lot of things to do.

Malia: Probably but at least it won't be like where we live where we hear a lot of noise.

Peter: I guess!

Meanwhile in Beacon Hills

The time is 10:15 a.m.

Talia: Well, thanks for being able to meet with me today.

Pattie: It was no problem.

Talia: I let you know soon what I will need for the benefit.

Pattie: Okay! Bye!

Talia: Bye!

When Talia is outside she goes to check her voicemail, and that is when she hears the message from her brother that he and Malia will be coming to Beacon Hills today.

Talia: I have to... no I have the lunch meeting today which I have to attend. After that I need to decide if I'm making dinner or getting takeout.

Seconds later she starts walking back to Hale Enterprise.

A little time later Talia stars to panic because she can't concentrate on her work and then a moment later her husband walks in.

Martin: Hey!

Talia: Hey! Heads up my brother and niece will be in Beacon Hills today.

Martin: Did he let you know when they would be here at?

Talia: No!

Martin: So, don't worry!

Talia: I'm not worried about that! I'm trying to decide if I should make dinner or get takeout.

Martin: It would be easier to get takeout.

Talia: Yes! Now, where should I order it from?

Martin: The diner!

Talia: Thanks! Now, I get back to finishing what I need to work on before I go to the lunch meeting.

Martin: You could reschedule!

Talia: I could but I really can't miss that lunch meeting today.

Martin: Okay! Then after the lunch meeting you head home early!

Talia: I guess that would be okay!

Time and Time goes by

Los Angeles

The time is 2:45 p.m.

A car is waiting to take Peter and Malia to Beacon Hills.

Malia: So, how long before we arrive?

Peter: A few hours!

Malia: Okay!

A little time later

It is about 3:30 p.m.

Talia is back at home.

Cora: Mom, why are you home early?

Talia: Your uncle and cousin will be in Beacon Hills today!

Cora: That's great Mom!

Talia: No! Everything must be great when they arrive!

Cora: Mom, I could help!

Talia: Okay! Maybe you could go tidy up the guesthouse!

Cora: Are you sure you don't want me to help making dinner?

Talia: No, because I'm getting food from the diner.

Cora: Okay!

Then she heads to the guesthouse

A little time more

It is about 4:15 p.m.

Malia: Dad, are you okay?

Peter: No! I guess that thought of actually going back to Beacon Hills make me feel nervous!

Malia: Dad, I think that has to do with seeing Chris after so many years!

Peter: Maybe but I don't know if I can handle being in a small town again!

Malia: You really love living in New York?

Peter: Yes, because it's bigger than living in Beacon Hills.

Malia: I get that but do you really like living somewhere that has a lot of noise?

Peter: Actually I do! Being in Beacon Hills is more like a quiet town.

Malia: Yes, but sometimes being in a quiet town isn't bad. I think being in Beacon Hills is going to be good for you.

Peter: I hope so!

Malia: It will be.

Peter: Okay!

A little more time later

About 4:35 p.m.

Peter and Malia have arrived at the Hale House.

Malia: Dad, the house is great.

Peter: Yes!

Seconds later the front door of the Hale House opens and it's Talia running out to meet them.

Talia: Welcome back Peter!

Peter: Hey Talia!

Talia: Give me a hug!

Then he gives her a hug seconds later and after a certain amount of time she lets him out of the hug.

Seconds later Talia gives Malia a quick hug before she lets her go.

Talia: You two will be staying in the guesthouse.

Peter: Actually I think she should stay in the main house!

Talia: That won't be a problem! Malia, you can stay in Laura's room!

Malia: What if she comes home?

Talia: Laura went to Europe!

Peter: I thought of going!

Malia: Dad, you never told me that!

Talia: Malia, your Father can be very secretive about things!

Peter: Yes, because I don't want people to know about it.

Malia: Aunt Talia you have to tell me things about my Dad that he hasn't told me!

Talia: Well, where should I begin?

Peter: Talia, don't tell her everything!

Talia: Maybe you could...

Peter: I'm going to the guesthouse! You two have fun!

Seconds later he takes his bags and heads to the guesthouse.

Malia: I think he's just going to rest!

Talia: I have snacks ready!

Malia: Actually we ate on the plane!

Talia: Did you two fly first class?

Malia: No! One of his bosses put us on their private jet.

Talia: That was nice!

Malia: Chloe likes doing that for me and Dad.

Talia: That's wonderful! Do you need help with your bags?

Malia: No thank you!

Talia: Okay!

Then they head inside!

About 5:00 p.m.

Peter is trying to distract myself by reading the manuscript but he's unable too because what pops in his mind is a memory of him and Chris from the past.

(Flashback)

Peter and Chris are secretly on their first date. They're at a fair in Water Hills.

Chris is playing a firing game while Peter has excused himself to go to the bathroom.

A few minutes later Peter returns to find Chris by the Ferris Wheel.

Peter: How did you do at the firing game?

Chris: I did okay!

Peter: That's okay! You'll do better next time!

Seconds later Chris takes out of his leather jacket a stuffed wolf!

Peter: So, are you going to give it to your sister?

Chris: No! It's for you!

Peter: Well, then it's only fair I win you something too.

Chris: You can do that later! Let's go on rides now!

Peter: Okay! Which one are we going on first?

Chris: I was thinking the rollercoaster!

Peter: That's fine! Then we could go on couple of other rides before we grab something to eat.

Chris: Okay!

(End of Flashback)

Meanwhile Cora is talking with her cousin Malia and her Aunt Talia.

Malia: So, tell me what you like?

Cora: I really like going to the mall!

Malia: I don't mind going!

Cora: I like to watch movies!

Malia: I like doing that!

Cora: I like to watch mostly romance movies!

Malia: I don't mind watching romance movies, but I what I really enjoy the most is watching horror movies.

Talia: Just like your Dad!

Cora: Mom, where is Derek?

Talia: All I know is that he told me he would be hanging around town and that he would be home before 6 p.m.

Cora: Okay!

Meanwhile at a apartment building Chris Argent and his daughter Allison are settling in.

Allison: Are you okay Dad?

Chris: Yes! Why do you ask?

Allison: You seem distracted by something!

Chris: I thought coming back here would be the same but it's not really. Things have changed!

Allison: Is that a bad thing?

Chris: No!

Allison: Okay! I'm going to head to my room!

Chris: Okay!

Seconds later she heads to her room and then Chris starts to flash back to high school when he has his first conversation with him.

(Flashback)

Peter was wearing a blue turtleneck and black jeans and was staring into space when he hears someone say

Chris: So, you want to hang?

Peter: Do you really want to hang with me?

Chris: Why not?

Peter: You know why?

Chris: Look, just because my Father forbids me from hanging out with a Hale do you really think I'm going to listen to him?

Peter: So, you don't always follow what he tells you to do?

Chris: Exactly!

Peter: Well, I guess then it would be okay for us to hang out with each other.

Chris: Yeah! So, I'm going to go exploring the woods on Saturday. Are you okay doing that?

Peter: Yes! Where do you want me to meet you at?

Chris: At the high school around noon!

Peter: That would be fine!

Chris: Cool! If I get snacks is there anything in particular that you want?

Peter: No!

Chris: Dress comfortable!

Peter: You mean don't wear a turtleneck!

Chris: Yeah! You could wear sweats instead!

Peter: I'm okay with that!

(End of Flashback)

Chris: It would be great if he were back in Beacon Hills.

Meanwhile Peter is having various flashbacks of when he was sixteen.

(Various Flashbacks)

Of when he and Chris went exploring in the woods and how he wound up spraining his ankle.

Peter: I can't believe this happened!

Chris: I'll carry you back to the high school!

Peter: No! I can manage by myself!

Chris: No, you can't! Just lean on me for support!

Peter: Okay!

Of when he decided to cut his hair and it wound up awful.

Peter: What the hell was I thinking?

Talia: It doesn't look bad.

Peter: How can you say that?

Talia: I can fix this!

Peter: No! There is no way I'm going to let you do anything to my hair.

Talia: Fine! If you want to look like a character whose hair is uneven...

Peter: Fix it.

Talia: You sure?

Peter: Yes! I can't go out looking like a weirdo!

Of when he and Chris couldn't decide which movie to go see.

Peter: I don't want to go see a action film!

Chris: Then I guess it's horror.

Peter: You like horror? (he says in a shocking tone)

Chris: Yes!

Peter: Okay! Which one?

Chris: Anything!

Of when their first kiss happened

Peter decided to leave the party because he couldn't take seeing Chris and Cindy so happy together.

He decided to go sit on the bleachers to have a little time to himself.

About five minutes had passed before he saw Chris sitting next to him.

Peter: Why are you here?

Chris: I wanted to make sure you were okay!

Peter: I am! (he lied) What would you think otherwise?

Chris: Because I saw the look on your face when you left.

Peter: I just needed time to myself.

Chris: Peter, I know sometimes has been bothering you for sometime.

Peter: It's about school! (he lied)

Chris: No! I think it's about someone you like.

Peter: No! (he lied)

Chris: Peter, I think that you're a little jealous that Cindy is with me and not with you.

Peter: What?! (he says in a shocked tone)

Chris: It's okay if you are!

Peter: I'm not interested in Cindy!

Chris: Of course you are being that she's attractive.

Peter: No...Christopher you're completely wrong...the truth is that one I have feelings for is you.

Chris was shocked by Peter's admission.

Peter: I don't expect you to return them!

Chris: I want you to be honest with me about how long you've had feelings for me!

Peter: For a couple of months!

Chris: I don't know what else to say!

Peter: Then you should go!

Chris: Probably, but there's something I need to do before I go.

As Peter is about to say something he's unable to because Chris kisses him seconds later.

In that moment Peter can't believe this is happening and seconds later he pulls back.

Chris: So...

Peter: Did you kiss me to see if you would feel something?

Chris: No, because the truth is I have feelings for you too!

Peter was thinking in his mind is he really being serious with me right now.

Chris: I think we should see where this goes.

Peter: What about Cindy?

Chris: I won't be with her anymore!

Peter: If we're going to be seeing each other I don't want anyone to know about it.

Chris: Peter...

Peter: It's because of your Father. If he found out we were more than friends I think he would do something to keep us from being together.

Chris: It's not going to be easy to pull it off.

Peter: It will if you continue dating Cindy while secretly seeing me.

Chris was shocked by what Peter said.

Peter: I won't be okay about that but at least I get to see you in secret.

Chris: For how long because at some point I'm going to have to tell Cindy that it's over.

Peter: I don't know! If you can't do that then maybe we should just remain friends.

Chris: Do you really want to pretend that there's nothing between us?

Peter: I...

Chris: Because I don't think I can pretend!

Peter: Christopher...

Chris: It will be okay. As long as we're discreet none is going to know we're seeing each other.

Peter: I don't think it will be easy to do, but I'm willingly to try.

Chris: That's good! So, we'll have to come up with a plan on where to meet.

Peter: Like meeting in a movie theater.

Chris: That would work! Also, we should have a place to meet that only we know about.

Peter: I know of one!

Chris: It better be a good one.

Peter: It is.

(End of Flashbacks)

Peter: I thought I forgotten those!

A little time passes

It is about 6:15 p.m.

Derek is home.

Malia: So, what do you like Derek?

Derek: I'm into reading and action movies!

Malia: Cool!

Derek: Where's Uncle Peter?

Talia: He's in the guesthouse!

Derek: So, Malia I can show you around town tomorrow!

Malia: Maybe the next day! I just want to relax tomorrow!

Derek: That's fine!

Cora: How about a movie marathon in the afternoon?

Malia: That would be fine!

Seconds later Malia heads off to explore and then after a minute or so Cora says something.

Cora: Mom, I want to throw a surprise party for Uncle Peter and Cousin Malia.

Talia: Your uncle doesn't like to be surprised!

Derek: I think it's a great idea.

Talia: Even if I agree to this how are we going to pull it off without them knowing?

Cora: I can handle that!

Derek: She is good at convincing people to do something.

Talia: I'm not agreeing to this party without talking to your Father about it first.

Martin: What party exactly?

Talia: You heard everything?

Martin: Yes!

Talia: So, what do you think?

Martin: Let's have it.

Talia: Well, okay!

Cora: Mom and Dad you two handle taking care of the food and letting people know about the party and me and Derek will handle the decorations.

Talia: Deal!

About 6:45 p.m.

Peter is joining everyone in the house for dinner.

Martin: Hey Peter!

Peter: Hey Martin! Where's my sister?

Martin: She's in the kitchen!

Peter: Okay! So, how has Hale Enterprise been doing?

Martin: Really great! I heard you're a really great editor!

Peter: The easiest part is reading the manuscripts and letting them know if it's fine the way it is, or if the book needs work.

Martin: That's good to hear! Peter, we want you to really enjoy being back in Beacon Hills.

Peter: I am! I promised someone I work with that I won't do anything work related while I'm here!

Martin: That's good! Can I get you a beer?

Peter: No! I actually don't drink beer anymore!

Martin: So, what is your drink of choice now?

Peter: Just give me a Coke!

Martin: Do you want me to bring it to you or when dinner is ready to be served.

Peter: I guess when dinner is ready.

Martin: Okay! Go join the kids in the living room.

Seconds later he heads to the living room where Cora, Derek, and Malia are.

Malia: I don't really care to go to the mall.

Cora: Going to the mall is great.

Malia: You know my Dad really likes going to the mall.

Peter: She's right!

Cora: Uncle Peter, come with to the mall on Friday!

Peter: I...

Malia: Dad...

Peter: Okay!

Derek: Do you like to go running?

Peter: To be honest I haven't been going as much as I used to go.

Derek: I could help you get back into doing that.

Peter: I will consider it.

Cora: Uncle Peter, Mom tells us stories about you.

Peter: What stories has she told you two about me?

Cora: Well, she told us about how for three Halloween's you decided to go as a pirate.

Peter: I mean has she told you any embarrassing stories about me!

Cora: She told us about the time your pants split in half, about when you decided to cut your hair and how it looked awful on you.

Peter: Well, okay! I guess that's not too embarrassing!

Derek: Mom showed us how cute you looked as a baby!

Peter: I don't think I was that cute!

Cora: You were really adorable especially wearing those outfits. I really liked the ones where you were put in the adorable animal outfits.

Peter: I...

Malia: I have to see those.

Peter: No... it's embarrassing! I didn't like how I looked in them.

Malia: Dad, it's okay!

Peter: Fine!

Talia: That will have to wait! Dinner is now being served.

Cora: I guess it can wait.

Then all of them go eat dinner.

Sometime later

It is about 9:30 p.m.

Peter and Talia are talking alone in the kitchen.

Talia: So, when are you going to see Chris?

Peter: I don't know!

Talia: Are you thinking about avoiding him for the rest of the summer?

Peter: No! I just don't want to say something that comes out wrong to him.

Talia: Are you feeling like that nervous boy you were in high school?

Peter: Yes! I...shouldn't feel like that being that I'm older now!

Talia: There nothing's wrong with that!

Peter: Probably not! Talia, how long have you been talking with Chris for?

Talia: A few years!

Peter: Why didn't you tell me that you were in contact with him?

Talia: I thought about it, but at the time Chris wasn't really calling me a lot. He would call at various times to find out out we were and also he asked about you too.

Peter: He did! (He said in a shocked tone)

Talia: Yeah! I just would tell him you were happy in New York with your career as as an editor. He said that was great to hear.

Peter: Why didn't you mention to him that I had a daughter?

Talia: I guess because it wasn't my place to tell him.

Peter: I respect you for doing that! I'm going to head to sleep now!

Talia: Okay! Goodnight!

Peter: Goodnight!

The time is 7 a.m.

Peter is just walking outside when he sees Talia seconds later.

Talia: Hey! You want coffee?

Peter: Not really!

Talia: Come inside anyway! I made breakfast!

Peter: Okay!

Then he heads into the main house with his sister.

Talia: So, what are you going to do today?

Peter: Just finish reading the manuscript I brought.

Talia: I thought you weren't working!

Peter: I'm not really! I just wanted to have something to read!

Talia: Okay!

Peter: Talia, what are the mall hours?

Talia: From Monday through Thursday it's 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. For Friday through Sunday it's 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Peter: Okay!

Talia: So, what do you want to eat?

Peter: Maybe just eggs!

Talia: And toast!

Peter: Actually I was thinking biscuits!

Talia: I made those too!

Peter: Okay!

Talia: Now, let me you give you a update on what's new in the town now.

Peter: Okay! How about what new places are great for food and refreshments?

Talia: There's only two great places! One is called the "Cake, Cookies, and Pastry Shop. The other is "Delicious. Treats."

Peter: What are the best food recommendations?

Talia: Well, the seven layer chocolate cake, the new death by chocolate dessert, and peppermint tea.

Peter: I will make sure I try those!

Talia: While you and Malia are in Beacon Hills you can use Laura's car.

Peter: I don't need to use it.

Talia: If you and Cora are going to the mall you will need it.

Peter: Okay! Where are the keys?

Talia: I've put them in the basket by the door.

Peter: Is there anything else important that I need to know?

Talia: Just leave a note so I don't worry or text me.

Peter: Okay!

Sometime later

It is about 10:30 a.m.

Chris is in Talia's office.

Talia: This isn't really about work related!

Chris: Talia, why am I here?

Talia: My brother Peter will be in Beacon Hills for the summer.

When Chris heard that he was really shocked by that.

Talia: I just found out about it yesterday.

Chris: Does he know I'm back in Beacon Hills with my daughter?

Talia: I didn't mention your daughter Chris!

Chris: So, you were thinking that I should be the one to tell him?

Talia: Yes!

Chris: Do you know where he's staying at?

Talia: With us!

Chris: I'm surprised! I thought maybe he wouldn't want to.

Talia: Yes, because he just wanted his privacy when he was a teenager. I'm glad you told me that.

Chris: I didn't mean to. I guess I thought it was important that you know about it.

Talia: You're wondering if Peter is the same person he used to be!

Chris: Yeah!

Talia: He still is but today he like doing what he does.

Chris: So, has anything else changed about him

Talia: He wears suits for work!

Chris: That's a different look for him!

Talia: So, you really liked that he wore turtlenecks and jeans?

Chris: I was okay with it.! You know he would have this disappointed face when I said maybe you could wear t-shirts.

Talia: Yes, I remember.

Chris: Talia, he doesn't know I work for your company?

Talia: No! Chris, are you and daughter free to do something this weekend?

Chris: Yes! Why are you asking?

Talia: Well, we're going to have a party on Saturday. Do you think you'll be able to come with your daughter?

Chris: I think so! Is it going to be a barbecue?

Talia: Actually it's more of a surprise welcome home party for Peter.

Chris: Then we'll be there!

Talia: That's wonderful!

Chris: Do you need any help?

Talia: If you want you can come over early to help set things up.

Chris: That would be fine! What time?

Talia: I don't know yet but I will let you know by Friday what time.

Chris: That's good! I'll have to figure out quickly what kind of welcome home gift I'm going to get for him and Malia.

Talia: It could be anything.

Chris: Okay!

Seconds later he heads out of Talia's office and heads back to his office to continue working.

About 12:00 p.m.

Cora: Malia, I'm making sandwiches! What do you like?

Malia: It doesn't matter.

Cora: Okay! I made ham and cheese and turkey with swiss.

Malia: That's good!

Cora: Okay! I picked out movies to watch. Why don't you go into the living one and pick out the first movie to watch?

Malia: You sure?

Cora: Yes! Oh, I might make brownies later!

Malia: That would be great! Maybe you could put in chocolate chips if you have them.

Cora: I think we do. We also have milky ways and snickers.

Malia: I think we should add those in too.

Cora: Well, okay!

Five minutes later

Cora: This movie is great.

Malia: This will be my first time seeing it.

Cora: Okay!

Then she starts the movie

Meanwhile Peter decides to head into town. He heads to the main house to let Cora and Malia know he's going into the town.

A few minutes later

Malia: Dad, have fun!

Peter: Okay! I'll see you two later!

Cora: If you don't want to drive you can take a bicycle.

Peter: No!

Then he heads out of the main house and on to the town.

About thirty minutes later

It is about 12:37 p.m.

Peter isn't sure where he wants to go first but then he hears someone call his name.

Gina: Hey Peter!

When Peter turns around he recognizes who it is right away.

Gina: You look great!

Peter: How have you been Gina?

Gina: I can't believe you remembered what I looked like.

Peter: I... so how has your life been?

Gina: Great! So, what brings you back to Beacon Hills?

Peter: I'm here for vacation!

Gina: That's wonderful! So, where are you off to?

Peter: I don't know!

Gina: How about later you come to my house? I'm doing a dinner get together with a few friends over.

Peter: I don't know!

Gina: You have to! I won't take no for an answer!

Peter: Okay! Where do you live?

Gina: 182 Beacon Hill Avenue!

Peter: What time is the dinner going to be at?

Gina: 7:30 p.m.

Peter: Okay! Who else is going to be there?

Gina: Elle and Chris!

When Peter heard Gina say that Chris would be there inside he was acting like a teenager who was nervous about seeing someone.

Peter: Cool!

Gina: Great! If you want to come over a little bit early that's okay! I usually serve appetizers and drinks before dinner.

Peter: Could I have your number so I can let you know if I will be coming earlier?

Gina: Okay!

Seconds later she hands Peter a card with her info on it.

Peter: Thanks!

Gina: Bye!

Peter: Bye!

It is about 3:30 p.m.

Peter returns back to the guesthouse to find Malia waiting for.

Malia: So, how was it going into town Dad?

Peter: Good!

Malia: Did you run into anyone you knew?

Peter: Yes! Her name is Gina. I'm going to a dinner that she's having tonight!

Malia: That's great!

Peter: It's not especially when Chris is going to be there.

Malia: So, already he's making you feel nervous?

Peter: Yes!

Malia: You could have said no!

Peter: I could have but I really think I need to see Chris. It's been a long time since I've seen him.

Malia: So, what are you going to wear?

Peter: I'm just going to dress casual!

Malia: If you're going to be wearing a turtleneck with a pair of jeans, then that is a no.

Peter: I didn't say...

Malia: You are going to wear a t-shirt and jeans.

Peter: No way!

Malia: You will! There's nothing wrong with wearing a t-shirt with jeans.

Peter: I'm going to look...

Malia: Normal! I put them in the top drawer that was empty!

Peter: Okay!

Malia: I'm going to head back to the main house. Cora and I are going to finish watching "Forrest Gump".

Peter: Okay!

Then she heads back to the main house.

Sometime later

It is about 5:30 p.m.

Talia: Hey girls! How was your day?

Cora: It was great Mom. We watched "The Princess Bride", "Saw", and "Forrest Gump".

Talia: Well, okay!

Malia: I do like to watch horror but not the really gruesome movies that my Dad likes to watch.

Talia: Well, not everyone can handle seeing those! So, is your Dad going to be joining us for dinner?

Malia: Actually he's going to a dinner that his friend Gina is having.

Talia: That's nice. Who else is going to be there.

Malia: Elle and Chris!

Talia: That's good!

Malia: I told Dad he will be wearing a t-shirt with jeans.

Talia: He tried to talk himself out of it?

Malia: Not really!

Talia: So, my brother listens to you?

Malia: Yes, he does Aunt Talia!

Talia: Good! What t-shirts did you select for him to pick him?

Malia: Well, three different graphic ones!

Talia: Good choice!

Meanwhile Peter is looking at the t-shirts that Malia put in the drawer and he is indeed speechless.

One is black with a saying "I'm Cool To Party With, the second one that is blue has the band U2 on it, and the last one is a plain red t-shirt.

Peter: I would go with the plain red t-shirt but I'll wear the first one.

A little time later

It's about 6:45 p.m.

Talia: Peter, let me see how you look!

Peter: Don't laugh!

Talia: I'll try not to!

Seconds later Peter comes out and Talia is just shocked by what t-shirt he decided to wear.

Peter: You hate it?

Talia: No! I think it looks great.

Peter: What? (he says in a shocked tone)

Talia: I'm serious!

Peter: I can't believe it.

Talia: You don't like it.

Peter: This is something a teenager should be wearing.

Talia: Any age could wear it.

Peter: Please! Then you're going to say like wearing a ugly Christmas tree sweater looks great on anyone.

Talia: Well, they're cool and festive!

Peter: I...

Talia: I'm going to take a picture of this!

Peter: No way!

Talia: Fine! You're missing something!

Peter: My coat!

Talia: No! You're going to wear a leather jacket!

Peter: No!

Talia: I remember you telling me that Chris looked great in one.

Peter: Yes, because he can pull it off.

Talia: Leather jackets are cool! I wear one!

Peter: Well, good that you like it.

Talia: I actually bought you one.

Peter: Why did you do that?

Talia: Because I thought it would be cool for you to wear one.

Peter: I'm not wearing it.

Talia: Fine! If you want to wear a plain coat that makes you look... old.

Peter: Hey! I'm not that old!

Talia: Then you will wear the leather jacket!

Peter: Okay Mom!

Talia: Very funny Peter! Also, you're are going to bring a bottle of wine to the party.

Peter: Fine!

Talia: So, did you get to finish the manuscript today?

Peter: No!

Talia: Were you okay with that?

Peter: I guess!

Talia: You should leave for the party soon!

Peter: Do I really have to be there for 7:30 p.m.?

Talia: No! Maybe you should get there first!

Peter: No!

Talia: Well, okay! Don't stay too late!

Peter: I'm not planning on it.

About 7:35 p.m.

Peter is the first to arrive at Gina's house.

Gina: So, you can help yourself to anything.

Peter: So, how long have you lived here for?

Gina: Five years!

Peter: It looks... cozy.

Gina: Well, I can't believe Peter Hale is telling me that.

Peter: I have really changed from the guy that I was as a teenager.

Gina: I don't think so! So, tell me how you have been?

Peter: I'm good! I have a daughter!

Gina: Wow! I can't believe your sister kept that a secret from the town.

Peter: Yeah! So, my daughter's name is Malia.

Gina: That's a pretty name! So, she is like you?

Peter: No! I mean she likes to watch movies but she's not really into horror as much as I still am.

Gina: Is she smart?

Peter: Yes!

Gina: Does she have a boyfriend?

Peter: As for now she doesn't but she has dated guys but none of them have been serious.

Gina: Well, maybe one day she will find the right guy.

Peter: Yeah!

Gina: I need to run to the store to get more appetizers!

Peter: I could go instead!

Gina: Are you sure...

Peter: You're the host! You should be here when the guests arrive!

Gina: Yes! I thought I had enough appetizers but I just realized that I don't!

Peter: So, tell me what you need and I will go get it.

Gina: Okay!

Five minutes later he heads out to the store

A few minutes later Chris arrives

Gina: Hey! You look great!

Chris: You look great too! Is anyone else here?

Gina: Peter was but he went to do an errand for me.

Chris: How nice!

Gina: I was going to go myself but he did make a good point of saying since I'm the host I should be here.

Chris: Well, I agree with him.

Gina: So, go help yourself to anything!

Chris: Thanks!

It is about twenty minutes later when Peter is about to head back to Gina's house that his cell phone rings. He decides to answer it on the second ring.

Peter: Hello!

Natasha: Peter, I'm glad you answered your phone.

Peter: So, what's going on?

Natasha: Just wanted to see how you are?

Peter: I'm fine! I'm actually having dinner with a people I haven't seen in a long time.

Natasha: That's good Peter! I wanted to let you know that everything is fine at the office.

Peter: Are you taking care of reading my manuscripts?

Natasha: Yes!

Peter: Good! I wanted to let you know I took of of the manuscripts to read in case I got somewhat bored.

Natasha: Which one?

Peter: It's called "Forbidden Love Between Friends."

Natasha: Okay! Send me a email with a review of it, so I can let your client know your thought about it.

Peter: Okay! It's only really just a draft for now!

Natasha: Okay! Also, there was something important that I thought you should know about.

Peter: Which is?

Natasha: Jen Waterson is going to be publishing her book with us.

When Peter heard that he was in complete shock because she had a publishing contract with another book company called "Fierce Books."

Natasha: She is going to be using a different name with us.

Peter: Are you okay with that?

Natasha: I'm going to mail you the manuscript because Jen Waterson wants you to read it first?

Peter: Okay! I gave you my sister's address!

Natasha: Yes! I made sure to put in my address book!

Peter: Okay! How long is it?

Natasha: About 500 pages!

Peter: Okay! Once I have finished it I will give you my review of what I thought.

Natasha: Okay! I'm going to let you go!

Peter: Okay! Bye!

Natasha: Bye!

Seconds later the call is over.

Meanwhile Chris is talking to Gina.

Gina: You still look great Chris!

Chris: Thanks!

Elle: I can't wait to see Peter! I'm really happy that he will be back in Beacon Hills for the summer.

Chris: It will be great to have him here.

Elle: Yes! I wonder if he's involved with anyone!

Chris was thinking I hope he isn't because I really want us to be together now!

About ten minutes later

Peter is back at Gina's house.

Gina: Thanks!

Peter: Is anyone else here?

Gina: Elle and Chris are!

Peter: Okay! Gina, do you like what I'm wearing?

Gina: Peter, you would look great in anything you wear.

Peter: I don't know!

Gina: Peter, go talk to them. You have avoided seeing them for a long time.

Peter: What am I supposed to say?

Gina: Just say hey it's great to see all of you. Let's catch up!

Peter: Okay!

As he's about to head into the living room Elle sees him.

Elle: You still look handsome as ever!

Peter: You still look beautiful.

Elle: Give your old friend a hug!

Seconds later he gives her a hug and a moment later they stop hugging each other.

Elle: Let's go talk outside!

Peter: Okay!

Then they head outside to talk

Peter: So, how have you been?

Elle: Really great! So, are you seeing anyone?

Peter: No!

Elle: Why not Peter?

Peter: Because I'm not interested in anyone! (he lied)

Elle: What if I set you up with someone?

Peter: No!

Elle: There's nothing wrong with being set up on a blind date.

Meanwhile Gina is talking to Chris.

Chris: So, things are going great with you?

Gina: Yes! So, go talk to Peter.

Chris: Yeah! Is he still outside with Elle?

A moment later Elle appears and she says

Elle: He's in the kitchen!

Chris: I'm going to go talk to him!

Then he heads to the kitchen

Peter is about to head into the living room when he sees Chris seconds later.

He has a moment where he thinks how attractive Chris looks now than he did in high school.

Chris: Hey!

Peter: Hey!

Chris: So, who talked you into wearing that shirt?

Peter: My sister! You hate it? (He says in a curious way)

Chris: No! You look cool in it.

Peter: I disagree!

Chris: I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch!

Peter: That's okay!

Chris: It's great you're back!

Peter: I didn't want too but somehow Malia talked me into coming. She's my... daughter!

Chris: Yes! Her name is Allison.

Peter: That's great Chris!

Chris: Yeah!

Peter: We should get back to the party!

Chris: Why don't we just leave and just hang out in town?

Peter: That would be great but...

Chris: You don't want to do that!

Peter: It was fun to do that in high school.

Chris: Okay!

Then they head back to where everyone else is.

Peter leaves at 10:30 p.m. He makes sure to give Chris his cell number.

Malia: So, Dad you had fun last night?

Peter: Yes!

Malia: Cool! So, I'm going to go hang with Derek in town.

Peter: That's great! As much as I would like to continue talking I want to finish at least one of the manuscripts before I go to the mall with Cora.

Malia: Okay!

Then she heads off and Peter goes back to finishing the manuscript.

A little time later

It is about 11:45 a.m.

The Beacon Hills Mall

Cora: You know we could skip it!

Peter: Let's go!

Cora: Okay!

Then they head into the mall seconds later

Meanwhile at Hale Enterprise

Talia is in Chris's office.

Chris: What brings you by?

Talia: Come to the house around 6 p.m.

Chris: Okay!

Talia: Or if you rather come earlier that is fine too!

Chris: I'll see!

Talia: So, I heard you were at the party last night.

Chris: Peter was cool about things!

Talia: That's good!

Chris: Yeah! I didn't realize how much I missed talking to him about things.

Talia: I think you being back in his life will be good for him.

Chris: Talia, what's really going on?

Talia: His boss told me that she's noticed that Peter hasn't been okay!

Chris: Well, that happens! I've felt that too!

Talia: Did that happen after you separated with Victoria?

Chris: No! It was when Father sent me away. I wasn't happy about leaving Beacon Hills.

Talia: Peter wasn't okay when you left too! I think that is the reason why he decided to head to NY.

Chris: He's lucky! He didn't have to be watched at all times.

Talia: Your Father did that to you? (She says in a shocked tone)

Chris: He did when I became friends with Peter. He would tell me Hale is using you to get information.

Talia: I'm sorry for you Chris!

Chris: Thanks! Oh, can we bring something for the party?

Talia: Yes! Anything would be fine to bring!

Chris: Allison wants to make a few desserts!

Talia: That would be fine.

About 12:30 p.m.

Peter and Cora are having a conversation.

Cora: So, are you going to buy anything Uncle Peter?

Peter: I don't know!

Cora: Well, at least get something for Malia.

Peter: Yes, but there's one problem I always tend to get her the wrong thing. Maybe you could help me get something better that she will actually like.

Cora: Does she like to read books?

Peter: Not really?

Cora: What does she really like?

Peter: I think clothes!

Cora: Cool! I think I know exactly what kind of clothes she will like.

Peter: Cool! So, tell me about your friends!

Cora: I have a friend whose name is Stiles.

When Peter heard that he was very shocked by that!

Cora: Well, you see his actual name is very hard to pronounce so he really likes to be called Stiles instead.

Peter: Okay! How did you meet him?

Cora: He's Derek's friend!

Peter: So, Derek doesn't mind you hanging with his friend?

Cora: No, Stiles isn't really the kind of person that people really like. He's not really part of the cool crowd.

Peter: I was like that before I became popular?

Cora: I can't believe none didn't like you.

Peter: Well, it might have had to do with the fact that I was really smart and just liked putting my grades first.

Cora: Which isn't really a bad thing! I mean you were friends with Chris, who I heard was very popular.

Peter: Chris was the guy who dressed cool and had that tough guy attitude that people really liked.

Cora: So, you thought he wouldn't want to hang out with you because you were a geek?

Peter: Yeah! He kind of surprised me!

Cora: Okay! We're going to head to the store that has the sort of style that Malia likes.

Peter: Okay!

Cora: After that we'll head to the food court where we will get a different selection of food to have.

Peter: Is there any healthy stuff there?

Cora: No!

Peter: Cool! Don't get me wrong I like to get healthy but sometimes I feel like having a burger with fries and a chocolate shake.

Cora: You know Stiles is really concerned about his Dad.

Peter: I knew his Dad in high school.

Cora: Well, Stiles has to make sure his Dad eats healthy. His Dad wasn't okay when...

Peter: Talia told me!

Cora: Stiles can also be the guy who doesn't go by the rules.

Peter: Just like Chris was!

Cora: Uncle Peter, if you don't mind me asking how rebellious were you and Chris in high school?

Peter: It really was Chris who was rebellious. We went to parties mostly.

Cora: Mom mentioned times you would come home wasted.

Peter: Yeah! I would always get lectured on how I shouldn't be drinking.

Cora: Which you didn't listen to her about.

Peter: Well, I didn't like to listen to what she had to say.

Cora: Not most teenagers do!

Peter: So, next time bring Stiles along!

Cora: You sure?

Peter: Yes!

Cora: I'll make sure to let him know!

The hours go by

The time is 4:30 p.m.

Peter and Cora are back in the main house.

Malia: So, I see you two had a great time.

Peter: Yes!

Malia: So, did you get anything new for yourself Dad?

Peter: No, but Cora was nice to help me get things for you.

Malia: Thanks Cora!

Peter: How did you like your time in town with Derek?

Malia: It was good. He showed me about everything!

Peter: That's good! Where is he now?

Malia: He went to take a nap.

Peter: Okay!

Then he hands Malia the two bags that are for her.

Malia: I'll put them in Laura's room for now!

Time goes by

It is about 6:30 p.m.

Talia: So, did you have fun with Cora?

Peter: Yes!

Talia: That's good!

Peter: Yes! I didn't realize how much I missed doing something that was just normal.

Talia: You need to get back into doing stuff like that.

Peter: Believe me I try but because my job involves doing a lot of work it's hard to go out and do something.

Talia: What do you want to eat tonight?

Peter: I can't think about eating right now! All I want to do is go rest.

Talia: Go do that! We usually eat a little later on Friday.

Peter: Okay!

Then he heads back to the guesthouse.

Cora: Mom, I have to show you the decorations I got for the party.

Talia: Okay! Let me see!

Then she shows her Mom the decorations and Talia likes what she sees.

Talia: So, we need to plan something for them to do tomorrow before they come home for the surprise party.

Cora: There's going to be a festival in Great Falls tomorrow.

Talia: Good!

Cora: It's all day.

Talia: That's perfect!

A little time later

It is about 8:15 p.m.

Martin: So, Cora what did you get at the mall today?

Cora: I got clothes Dad and Uncle Peter got me a few things as well.

Talia: How sweet of you brother to do that!

Peter: Well, it was really Cora you picked out what she likes. I'm terrible at doing that.

Talia: That's not true Peter!

Peter: What about the year I got you something that was neon pink?

Talia: It was the 80's. I didn't really care what I got from you.

Peter: What about the year I got you that awful stuffed animal?

Talia: Well, I really wasn't into frogs.

Cora: Well, Uncle Peter if you ever need help picking out something you can call and ask me for advice.

Peter: That would be great!

Derek: Uncle Peter, Mom said you're great at drawing.

Peter: Actually I have improved to painting portraits.

Talia: When exactly did you start doing that?

Peter: I guess during college!

Talia: I bet they were really good.

Peter: No!

Malia: He's lying Aunt Talia. His portraits are very good that he's actually sold some.

Peter: I did that for sometime before I became a editor.

Malia: You should get back into doing that Dad!

Talia: Yes! Maybe you could do a portrait for us.

Peter: I don't know. It takes time to do that.

Talia: Well, I don't think we would mind waiting.

Peter: If I decide to get back into painting I'll start on it first.

Cora: We're watching a movie after we finish dinner.

Peter: Who gets to pick the movie tonight?

Cora: Derek?

Derek: We're watching "Harry Potter".

Peter: I don't know if I want to watch that movie.

Derek: That's okay! What if I put on "An Affair To Remember"?

Peter: That would be fine!

Derek: Cool! Have you seen any of the "Twilight films?

Peter: Yes! I went with Malia to see them.

Malia: I thought he would say no.

Peter: I think I liked it because it was the kind of genre that I liked.

Malia: Sometimes when Dad isn't working we go to film festivals.

Cora: That is cool.

Five minutes later

Peter is on the phone with Chris.

Chris: So, you're watching a movie with your family?

Peter: Well, I couldn't say no!

Chris: You just don't want to admit that you like spending time with them?

Peter: Well, okay!

Chris: So, what are you doing tomorrow?

Peter: Going to a festival in Great Falls with Malia.

Chris: Have a great time!

Peter: How about you and Allison join us?

Chris: Actually I have something to do tomorrow but I'll ask Allison if she's free to go.

Peter: Okay! If she's able to go let me know.

Chris: I will! Bye!

Peter: Bye!

Seconds later Peter goes to join everyone in the living room.

Ten minutes later

Allison is on her way out.

Chris: I will see you later!

Allison: Okay! Dad, is there anything else you need to talk to me about before I leave?

Chris: Yeah! Would you like to go with Peter and his daughter to the festival in Great Falls tomorrow?

Allison: Which happens to be the same day of their surprise party?

Chris: Yes! I mean you don't have to go if you don't want to.

Allison: No! I will go! Just drop me off at the house.

Chris: Okay! Ask Lydia if she wants to go?

Allison: I don't know if she's into going to festivals but I will ask anyway.

Chris: Okay! Bye!

Allison: Bye!

Seconds later Allison heads out and Chris sends Peter a quick text.

The time is 10:30 a.m.

Peter: We're going to have Allison joining us for the festival today.

Malia: I hope she like us Dad!

Peter: I hope so too!

A little time later

It is about 12:15 p.m.

Chris: Hey!

Peter: Hey!

Chris: Allison, this is Peter.

Allison: Hi! Dad has told me a lot about you.

Peter: That's good!

Allison: Where's your daughter Malia?

Peter: She decided to change into something else.

Allison: Well, I do that a lot! Dad, you should tell him about the times I took forever to pick out what to get at clothing stores.

Chris: It wasn't that bad.

Allison: Maybe not all the time but what about the time it took me four hours to decide what dress I wanted to wear for my twelfth birthday party.

Chris: Well, I didn't mind.

Allison: Peter, what about Malia? Has she ever given you a hard time about picking what she likes?

Malia: No! Hi!

Allison: I'm Allison!

Malia: Malia! It's nice that you're coming with us to the festival.

Allison: I like going to the festivals. I've been doing that with my Dad ever since I was young.

Malia: That's cool!

Chris: I should get going.

Peter: Are you sure you can't get out of what you have to do?

Chris: Yes! Allison, behave!

Peter: Chris, that isn't necessary!

Chris: Are you sure because Allison sometimes like to wander off.

Peter: Just like we used to do.

Allison: Dad, you didn't tell me that!

Peter: I wonder what else you didn't tell her Chris. I think on the way to the festival I should tell her...

Chris: Don't!

Allison: Dad, it can't be that bad!

Peter: Maybe there will be some things that I won't mention.

Chris: Thank you!

Peter: You will owe me!

Chris: You can count on that!

Peter: So, what do you want to know about your Dad that he hasn't told you about?

Allison: Well, I heard something in town that you two liked to cause trouble.

Peter: That's not true but there's a reason why people in town would think that. One of our friends wanted to do something exciting and we kind of agreed before knowing what it was.

Malia: Tell us what it was Dad.

Peter: Well, our friend Gina thought it would be fun if we streaked naked in the town.

Allison: Did my Dad do it? (She asks in a concerned too)

Peter: No, but I did!

Chris: Not really! You did it with your underwear on. It was Gina who completely streaked.

Peter: He's right!

Malia: So, you and Gina must have been really drunk to do that.

Peter: Yes, but waking up with the hangover the next morning was the worst.

Seconds later Chris leaves in the car and then a minute later Peter, Malia, and Allison head to Great Falls.

Sometime later

It is about 2:00 p.m.

Talia is looking at the decorations and can't believe how great it looks.

Cora: Wow!

Talia: I should get back to making the food for the party.

Meanwhile at the festival

Peter is looking at the craft table while Allison and Malia are looking at the books.

Malia: So, you like my Dad?

Allison: Yes! I think he's a cool Dad!

Malia: You have a cool Dad too!

Allison: Thanks!

Malia: Yes!

A little time later

It is about 3:30 p.m.

Peter sees something that he thinks Chris would like so he decides to buy it.

Malia: Dad, we should decide when we're going to head back to the house.

Allison had to think of something quick because there is no way they could go back to the house especially if things are being done for the party.

Peter: So, Allison is there anything else you want to do before we head back?

Allison: Actually there's a few places in town that I wanted to go. I'll be quick about it.

Peter: You okay with that Malia?

Malia: Yeah!

Allison: Okay! I'm going to let my Dad know we won't be back early!

Peter: Okay!

Then Allison goes to type a quick message to her Dad to see about the party.

A few minutes later Chris checks to see if he got any new text messages, and when he sees one from Allison this is what the message says.

Allison: I have stalled a little longer! I will let you know when we are headed back to Beacon Hills.

Then Chris thinks to himself well okay!

A hour later

It is about 4:30 p.m.

Malia: Dad, maybe we could bring something back for Chris to thank him for allowing us to bring Allison with us to the festival today.

Peter: That's not a bad idea!

Allison: I should be done soon!

Peter: Take your time!

Allison: You're too nice! My Dad is the complete opposite.

Peter: Yes! I think that's what I really like him about the most.

Allison: You know what Dad said he likes about you the most?

Peter: That I'm fun to hang with!

Allison: No! That you have a good heart!

Peter: That's true!

Allison: Could you tell me what you thought of my dad when you first saw him?

Peter: I will tell you about that on the way back to Beacon Hills.

Allison: Okay!

An hour later

Beacon Hills

Talia: I think I might have made too much food!

Chris: No! You know having a lot is not bad. Teenagers like to eat a lot!

Talia: You're right!

Chris: Peter liked to eat a lot!

Talia: I remember! I had to make sure there was enough food in the house.

Chris: Did you make any of his favorites for the party?

Talia: Yes, and I also made stuff that Malia likes as well.

Chris: That's cool!

Talia: Do you think we have enough refreshments?

Chris: Yes!

Talia: I really appreciate you coming to help!

Chris: I didn't mind!

Talia: Have you seen Cora or Derek?

Chris: Yes! They were adding more decorations!

Talia: Of course! I don't think they liked that I wanted to use less decorations.

Chris: Or it could be they decided to add more because they wanted to make sure it would be a party that Peter and Malia would remember.

Talia: I agree!

A little time passes

It is about 6:00 p.m.

Peter: I think it's time we head back!

Allison: Okay! Don't leave anything behind!

Malia: Okay!

Then they gathered the bags and head to the car seconds later.

About forty minutes later

Beacon Hills

Talia: Martin, make sure all the gift bags are on the table.

Martin: Okay! Everything will go great.

Talia: As long as Peter and Malia don't show up early!

Martin: They won't!

Talia: Okay!

Meanwhile in the car

Peter is driving and Allison and Malia are asleep.

About 7:00 p.m.

Beacon Hills

Cora: Mom, do you like what I'm wearing?

Talia: You look great!

Cora: Okay!

Talia: Do you think we need balloons?

Cora: No! I think they would be overdoing it.

Talia: Okay!

Ten minutes later

A few of the guests have arrived.

Talia: I'm really glad you could come!

Noah: I wouldn't miss it.

Talia: Where is your son?

Noah: He's talking with Derek.

Meanwhile Stiles is having a conversation with Derek.

Derek: Stiles...

Stiles: Derek, let me say what I want to say first.

Derek: Okay!

Stiles: I want you to know that... the kiss that almost happened between us had nothing to do with Lydia... to make her jealous... I have lately... been feeling something more than friendship for you... but if you don't feel anything more than friendship between us... I understand... and you could just forget what almost happened between us.

Derek: Stiles, I feel more than friendship for you.

Stiles was very surprised when Derek said that.

Derek: I just want to see if there is a chance there could be something more between us.

Stiles: Okay!

Derek: You sure?

Stiles: Yeah!

Derek: Okay! Let's head inside!

Then they head inside the main house.

About five minutes later

It's now 7:15 p.m.

Cora: So, I guess you and Stiles are going to date?

Derek: Yes!

Cora: I'm happy for the both of you!

Derek: I'm happy!

Cora: If you hurt him you know what I will do to you.

Derek: Okay!

About ten minutes late

It is about 7:25 p.m.

Peter: We should have stopped somewhere to get food.

Allison: Maybe next time!

Peter: Yeah!

Malia: Are we almost back to the house?

Peter: Yes!

Malia: Okay!

A little time passes

It is about 7:35 p.m.

When Peter gets back to the house he notices that Chris isn't at the house yet.

Allison: Dad is going to be running late.

Peter: That's fine! You can wait inside the house for him to show up.

Allison: Cool!

Then they head out of the car with the bags.

Meanwhile everyone inside is waiting to surprise Peter and Malia.

A minute later everyone says surprise to them and they're just shocked speechless.

Talia: You did good Allison.

Malia: I can't believe it.

Peter still hasn't said anything yet.

Talia: I know you don't like surprises but I hope you don't mind that we decided to throw one for you and Malia.

Peter: I...

Chris: He just needs a few minutes!

Talia: Yeah! Everyone, go help yourself to the food.

Then the others do.

It takes Peter ten minutes to feel normal again.

Chris: You okay?

Peter: I can't believe you were in on this!

Chris: Well, I' hope you're not mad at me.

Peter: No! I just can't believe you kept it a secret from me.

Chris: Are you ready to say hello to everyone who came?

Peter: Yes, but first there's something I need to give to you first.

Chris: Okay!

A few minutes later

Chris: Peter, you didn't have to get me anything.

Peter: I...

Chris: Thanks!

Peter: So, next time you're coming along!

Chris: I wouldn't miss it.

Peter: Cool!

An hour later

It is about 8:46 p.m.

Noah: You look good Peter!

Peter: You do too! So, how have you and your son been?

Noah: It was tough after Claudia died. I took it the hardest by drinking a lot.

Peter: When did you hit rock bottom?

Noah: When I found out from my doctor that if I didn't stop drinking it would ruin my health.

Peter: So, Stiles takes care of you.

Noah: Yeah! He makes sure I eat healthy even though I really don't like eating that way.

Peter: So, what happened between Derek and Stiles?

Noah: I don't know exactly but it looks like they worked it out.

Peter: So, are you dating anyone?

Noah: Well, kind of?

Peter: As in she's...

Noah: No! We just recently started dating and it's someone you know.

Peter: It's Melissa right!

Noah: How did you figure that out so quick?

Peter: Well, I thought there was something between you two in high school.

Noah: If there was I didn't see it.

Peter: Yeah! You were so into Claudia back then!

Noah: So, are you seeing anyone?

Peter: No! I mean I did from time to time but it wasn't nothing serious.

Noah: Was it because they didn't want to have a relationship with your daughter?

Peter: There were a few but for the most part it was hard to date especially if you're putting your daughter first and your work second.

Noah: Okay! Make sure you come to the house with your daughter to have dinner with me and Stiles.

Peter: I will!

Noah: Good! Now, you should go talk to other people.

Peter: Yeah! Wait, I should give you my cell number.

Then he takes out a card from his pocket that he hands to Noah seconds later.

Noah: This is impressive.

Peter: Yeah!

Around 9:00 p.m.

Daphne: So, Peter you have to come see me.

Peter: When I have the chance to.

Daphne: Good!

A little time later

It is about 9:30 p.m.

Malia: Dad, I'm going to excuse myself early! I didn't realize how tired I actually am.

Peter: Okay! Goodnight!

Malia: Goodnight!

Then she heads upstairs to sleep.

About an hour and sixteen minutes later

It is about 10:46 p.m.

Allison: Dad, I think we should leave soon!

Chris: Yeah! Just let me go say goodbye to Peter before I leave. Take the bags to the car.

Allison: Okay!

Then seconds later she gets the bags and heads to the car.

Chris: Peter, Allison and I are going to head home.

Peter: Okay! Maybe next week we can plan to do something.

Chris: That would be great! Bye!

Peter: Bye!

In that moment Peter was feeling the butterflies in his stomach again when he first saw Chris for the first time.

Then Chris heads out the door seconds later and then Peter closes and locks the door.

Talia: If you're tired you can head to bed.

Peter: No, I will help clean up.

Talia: That's really not...

Peter: Look, you want out of your way to have this party for me and Malia. The least I can do is help out a little bit.

Talia: Okay!

Then they start to clean up.

Peter finds himself bored that he doesn't notice Cora come in until she says something.

Cora: I was thinking we could do something if you don't have anything to do today!

Peter: That would be great!

Cora: Okay! I was thinking we could take a drive to Valley Hill. There's an arts festival there today!

Peter: That sounds great!

Cora: Okay!

Peter: Should we leave now?

Cora: In five minutes!

Peter: Okay!

Meanwhile at Hale Enterprise.

Talia: Oh, how is your daughter Allison adjusting to living in Beacon Hills?

Chris: She's good! I thought she would be disappointed that we left living in Colorado to come here, but I was wrong.

Talia: Well, how about next week you two come over for dinner?

Chris: That would be great! Which night works great for you and your family?

Talia: Friday!

Chris: Okay! What time?

Talia: I will let you know!

Chris: Okay! I will make sure to write it down so I don't forget.

Talia: Well, okay!

A little time later

It is about 1:50 p.m.

Cora: Uncle Peter, what do you think of this artwork?

Peter: It looks really dark with all the black and grey concept in it.

Cora: Okay! Maybe we should go get a bite to eat.

Peter: Yeah! How about we get Mexican?

Cora: Okay! I was thinking of getting Tacos. Are you going to get them too?

Peter: No! Actually I'm thinking of getting a Burrito.

Cora: Cool!

Peter: And also something for dessert too!

Cora: We could get Gelato after!

Peter: Sounds wonderful!

The hours go by

About 4:15 p.m.

Peter is on the phone with Chris.

Chris is on the phone with Peter.

Peter: I had a great time with my niece Cora today!

Chris: What did you two do?

Peter: We went to a art festival in Valley Hill.

Chris: That's great! Did you buy anything?

Peter: No!

Chris: There was nothing that caught your interest.

Peter: No!

Chris: Okay! I have to go! I really have to finish something important for work!

Peter: Okay! Bye!

Chris: Bye!

Seconds later the call is over.

Sometime later

It's about 8 p.m.

Cora is talking to Derek.

Derek: What?

Cora: So, I was wondering when you're going to ask Stiles out?

Derek: Soon!

Cora: Or are you waiting to see if he will ask you out first?

Derek: Maybe!

Cora: If you need my help let me know.

Derek: Okay!

Meanwhile Stiles is at home hanging out with Scott.

Scott: You seem distracted.

Stiles: Why would you think that?

Scott: It has something to do with Derek.

Stiles: Well... we're going to start dating!

Scott: That's good news. So, are you waiting for him to ask you out first?

Stiles: I might but maybe I should.

Scott: Well, since you were the one that decided to kiss him.

Stiles: Yeah!

Scott: I think you're more worried that when you ask Derek out you will say something stupid.

Stiles: No, I could text him.

Scott: If you think that's easier to do then do that.

Stiles: Yeah, but what am I going to say?

Scott: Just say what you think is best.

Talia: So, I wanted to say I'm glad you're not strict with Malia.

Peter: I want her to be independent. I don't want her to be like how I was when I came to live with you after Mom and Dad passed.

Talia: You weren't easy to care take off but you did try to respect me.

Peter: Like when you told me not to drink so much!

Talia: I know you thought I might be strict as Mom and Dad were but I'll never be like them.

Peter: I never said this but I think you did a great job taking care of me even when I rebelled.

Talia: It's nice to hear you say that dear brother.

Peter: Oh, don't get so sentimental on me.

Peter: None! (He lied)

Natasha: Peter, is the person some old flame from high school?

Peter: We're back to being friends now!

Natasha: Is that what you want?

Peter: No, but for right now I don't want it be something more.

Natasha: The person hurt you?

Peter: Yes!

Natasha: It's never easy to forgive someone but I believe you want too. What's holding you back from doing that?

Peter: If I give this person a second chance and it doesn't work out I don't think I can handle that. When I got my heart broken everything changed until I found out the news I was going to be a Father. That changed me but still I was hoping the person I loved more than anything was going to come back into my life. Now, that the person has I need to be sure I can take the chance again

Natasha: Well, then you need to tell the person that you love what you feel and if they can't commit to what you want then you can accept it's over.

Peter: The problem is I don't think I can because I believe the person is the one I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Natasha: Peter, you deserve to be with happy! If you really believe the person you want is your destiny then don't stop trying to get them back.

Peter: I'll have to think about it before I decide to do anything.

Natasha: I agree! Now, I'm going to let you go! I'll call you next week!

Peter: Bye!

Natasha: Bye!

Seconds later the call is over.

Time goes by

It is about 2:00 p.m.

Talia: A date needs to be selected for the benefit.

Martin: Make it early August.

Talia: I'll see! What if I ask Peter to help plan the charity benefit?

Martin: Maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea since he doesn't really have anything to do.

Talia: I'll discuss with him later.

A few hours later

It is about 4:00 p.m.

Derek checks his texts and when he sees the one from Stiles this is what it says.

Stiles: Hey, go out with me on Saturday. We can do anything you want!

Then Derek texts back okay and then he has this big smile on his face.

Cora: So, Stiles finally asked you out?

Derek: Yes!

Cora: You will tell me how it goes.

Derek: Maybe!

Time goes by

It is now 7 p.m.

Peter and Talia are at the studio.

Cheryl: Hey Talia! Is this the brother you're always talking about?

Talia: Yes! Cheryl, this is Peter.

Cheryl: Hello Peter! It's great that you decided to come!

Peter: Yes! Is anyone else going to be here?

Cheryl: Yes! The class doesn't start until 7:25 p.m.

Peter: Okay!

Cheryl: Can I get you anything?

Peter: No!

Talia: Nothing for me yet!

Cheryl: Okay!

Peter: What kind of people come to these classes?

Cheryl: Those who are amateurs and those who are talented painters.

Peter: I hope I'm not going to be doing something easy!

Cheryl: It won't be.

About 7:25 p.m.

There is about fifteen other people who have come for the class.

Anna: Hello everyone! Tonight we will be doing something summer inspired.

Peter: I hope it's not just flowers! (he whispers to Talia)

Anna: Tonight it will be "Beautiful Creatures at Night".

Peter: That sounds...

Talia: Peter, be nice!

Peter: Cool!

Anna: We'll begin with doing the background first! I'm going to begin with doing the sky!

Peter: Okay!

Anna: Remember to go at the pace you feel comfortable going at. If you need my assistance let me know!

As the time goes by Peter is observing what the other people are doing and he is surprised that there are some you can really paint good.

Talia: So, are you having fun?

Peter: Yes!

Talia: Good!

By the time the paint session is over Anna lets them know to make sure they take their portraits home.

Peter: So, are we going to head back to the house now?

Talia: No! Let's go eat something!

Peter: Where to?

Talia: The burger place!

Peter: That's good!

Then they head to the burger place next

By the time they get back to the house it's about 11:45 p.m.

Talia: I'll see you in the morning! Goodnight!

Then Peter heads to the guesthouse to sleep but he finds after an half an hour he can't so he decides to text Chris a message.

The time is 12:15 a.m.

Peter is texting Chris.

Peter: Hey, you feel like chatting!

Chris: For a little bit!

Peter: Cool! I went out with my sister last night.

Chris: Did you have fun!

Peter: Yeah! We did paint night!

Chris: That's different for you? Are you good at painting?

Peter: Yes! I took painting classes while attending college.

Chris: I find that impressive! You have to show me something you painted!

Peter: Well, the only show thing I could show you is what I painted at paint night.

Chris: I can't wait to see it.

Peter: Do you remember when I gave you that awful picture for Christmas?

Chris: I didn't think it was that bad.

Peter: I know you're lying. I saw the reaction on your face that you were trying to hide!

Chris: Well, to be honest I didn't really like bunnies!

Peter: Okay! You free to do something tomorrow!

Chris: Yes! What should we do?

Peter: Do you feel like hiking through the woods?

Chris: Are you sure you want to do that?

Peter: Yes!

Chris: Okay! What time?

Peter: Make it 1 p.m.

Chris: Cool! Meet me at the school!

Peter: Okay! Bye!

Chris: Bye!

The time goes by

It is now 10:30 a.m.

Talia: You okay Peter?

Peter: Hey!

Talia: Good! There's something I want to talk to you about!

Peter: Okay! I'm listening!

Talia: What if you helped me plan the Charity benefit?

Peter: As in what will I be doing?

Talia: Well, I need a theme for the charity ball and once that's decided then the decorations can be picked out.

Peter: Okay! What is the Charity benefit for?

Talia: For animals.

Peter: It could be inspired by the charity. Perhaps you can have animals from a shelter that need homes to be at the benefit. People can adopt them there if they're interested.

Talia: Peter, that's a great idea. Maybe it could be dogs and cats. I will have to contact shelters to see if they have any animals available.

Peter: Yes! As for the decorations could be pictures of the animals that are needed to be adopted.

Talia: I like that too! I'll have to get a photographer to take pictures of the animals.

Peter: As for the party favors it can be something like animal keychains, maybe something edible shaped like dogs and cats.

Talia: Wonderful! I should take care of doing that right away.

Peter: Yes!

Talia: Do you have plans today?

Peter: I made plans with Chris to do something today!

Talia: That's good!

Peter: Yeah! I might ask Malia to come along!

Talia: I think she has plans!

Peter: Then other time!

Talia: I could make sandwiches for you to take!

Peter: That would be nice!

Talia: Okay! What time are you meeting Chris at?

Peter: 1 p.m.

Talia: Okay!

Sometime later

It is about 1:05 p.m.

Chris: So, you ready to go for this hike?

Peter: You think I'm going to sprain my ankle?

Chris: You might?

Peter: I will try not to!

Chris: Okay!

Peter: Also, Talia made us sandwiches!

Chris: How nice that she did that!

Peter: So, do you think you could outdo me?

Chris: You're making a wager that you're going to do better than me?

Peter: Yes!

Chris: You're on Hale!

Peter: I will beat you Argent!

About thirty minutes later

It is about 1:35 p.m.

Peter: I don't think I can do this!

Chris: Let's take a break!

Peter: No!

Chris: Then would you at least drink some water?

Peter: Okay!

Then Chris hands Peter a bottle of water which Peter takes seconds later.

Peter: Thanks!

Then Peter opens the bottle and takes a couple of sips before he put the top back on and makes sure it's tighten before he continues walking.

By the time they get back to the school it's about 2:50 p.m.

Chris: You did good!

Peter: Next time I'm going to do better!

Chris: Yeah! You want to head home or do you want to go back to my apartment!

Peter: I brought a chance of clothes!

Chris: Good! I will let you take a shower first!

Peter: Are you sure because you could take it first?

Chris: I'm going to go to the store so I will give you the key to let yourself in.

Peter: Okay!

Then they get into separate cars and drive!

After Chris parks his car on the street he hands the key to Peter.

Peter: How long are you going to be?

Chris: Probably twenty minutes!

Peter: Okay! Is Allison home?

Chris: No!

Peter: Okay!

After he is given the key he makes sure to bring the duffel bag with his change of clothes before he goes up to the apartment.

When Peter gets inside the apartment he thinks it looks great but then decides he should get in the shower before he starts looking at it.

It is about five minutes later that he finishes taking a shower. He makes sure to dry himself off before he puts his underwear and sweats on.

The first thing Peter notices about the apartment is the pictures of Chris and his daughter. He thinks they look great and then he looks at the other room and the one he really likes is the computer room with the books on the shelves.

Seconds later he hears the door open and by surprise it just happens to be Allison.

Peter: Hey!

Allison: I'm going to be quick!

Peter: Your Dad gave me the key!

Allison: Okay! Could you let him know I should be home by 6 p.m.?

Peter: I will!

A few minutes later she heads out of the apartment.

By the time Chris comes back it's 3:40 p.m.

Peter: I like the apartment!

Chris: Okay!

Peter: Oh, Allison was here! She came by to get something before she left!

Chris: Okay!

Peter: She told me to tell you that she'll be home by 6 p.m.

Chris: Okay! Help yourself to anything while I'm in the shower!

Peter: Okay!

By the time Chris is dressed into a t-shirt and jeans he finds Peter asleep on the couch.

Chris decides to let him sleep!

A little time later

By the time Peter wakes up it's about 5:40 p.m.

Chris: Hey, you're up!

Peter: I didn't realize how tired I was!

Chris: That's okay! You can stay for dinner if you want.

Peter: Maybe next time! I just feel like going back home to sleep!

Chris: Okay! Thanks for hanging out with me today!

Peter: I really enjoyed it.

Then he leaves seconds later and takes a little time before he heads back to the car to drive back home.

The time goes by

Peter is up at 10 p.m.

He goes back to reading a manuscript until he passes out again.

It is Sunday, July 24, 2011.

Peter is like a zombie when he gets out and Malia sees.

It is about 2 p.m.

Malia: Dad, get in the shower!

Peter: What are you doing here?

Malia: Aunt Talia wants to know if you're hungry!

Peter: No!

Malia: Also, we're going out for dinner around 5:30 p.m.

Peter: I will be okay to go out by then!

Malia: Okay! Did you have fun with Chris yesterday?

Peter: Yes, until I passed out on the couch!

Malia: So, that's why you went to sleep early?

Peter: Yeah! This only happens when I don't get enough sleep!

Malia: You need to work less Dad!

Peter: I know!

Hours go by

The Hale Family has dinner at a restaurant called "Barbecue Home Cooking".

Talia: It smells so good.

Peter: What's good here?

Cora: Everything Uncle Peter!

Peter: Okay!

Talia: Order what you want to have!

Peter: I don't know!

Talia: Get ribs! You love those!

Peter: No! I think I'm going to get Mama's Mix Entrée!

Talia: Are you sure you don't want to get something else like hot wings?

Peter: Yes!

Talia: Good!

By the time the family finishes diner it's about 8:30 p.m.

Talia: Hey anyone want ice cream?

Cora: Another time Mom!

Derek: Yeah! I don't think I could eat anything else!

Talia: Okay! I'll ask for the bill!

Peter: It's already been taken care of!

Talia was shocked that he did that!

Malia: He's done this many times!

Martin: Peter, thanks for doing that!

Talia: I... when did you do this?

Peter: When I excused myself to go to the bathroom?

Talia: Okay! Let's head home!

Then they head out of the restaurant

Peter is texting Chris.

The time is 11:45 a.m.

Chris: I think you did good.

Peter: I know! It's just...

Chris: Don't worry about it too much.

Peter: I'm trying not to.

Chris: You know do you ever wonder if you went a different path what your life would be like now?

Peter: You mean if I wasn't a Father?

Chris: No! Like if you got married?

Peter: I mean I've thought about it...but

Chris: It's okay if you don't want to talk about it.

Peter: It's fine! I think it might have been great to be married but I don't think it would have worked out.

Chris: You think because you put your daughter first and your work second that the woman you married would want a divorce?

Peter: Well, no I think it would be because I'm just not an easy person to be around.

Chris: If that were true we wouldn't have been friends.

Peter: Okay! So, you want to do something tomorrow?

Chris: Allison and I are coming over for dinner tomorrow.

Peter: Talia didn't mention it to me.

Chris: She probably just forget to.

Peter: Okay! Bye!

Chris: Bye!

Seconds later the texting is over.

Time goes by

It is about 6:30 p.m.

Talia: I guess I forget to mention it to you.

Peter: That's fine!

Talia: So, what should I make for dinner on Friday?

Peter: Actually could I do it?

Talia: Are you sure about that?

Peter: Yes!

Talia: Okay! Do you know what you want to cook?

Peter: Not yet but I will figure it out.

Talia: I didn't know you could cook.

Peter: Well, I guess I decided to learn because of Malia.

Talia: What else can you do brother?

Peter: I can sew!

Talia: You sew? (She says in a surprised tone)

Peter: Yes! I don't really do it that much as I used to.

Talia: Well, I think it's great that you do.

Peter: Once I know what I' making for dinner then I pick the dessert that I think fits the dish.

Talia: That's great!

Peter: Well, okay!

Many hours later

It is about 1 a.m.

Peter is writing down what he will be making for dinner, the dessert, and also to go to the market if he needs anything that is missing in the kitchen.

Time passes again

It is about 6:30 a.m. when Peter gets up.

He decides to change into his sweats and go for a walk.

By the time he gets back to the guesthouse it is about 7:45 p.m.

Malia: So, how did you do?

Peter: Okay!

Malia: So, you're making dinner tonight?

Peter: Yes!

Malia: That's cool Dad!

Peter: Yeah! I have to check the kitchen to see what's in there.

Malia: What will you be making?

Peter: Well, I thought I should make something suitable for the summer so I thought sliders with sides.

Malia: Good choice. What will be the dessert then?

Peter: Smore cake!

Malia: Yummy!

Peter: Why are you up early?

Malia: I wanted to know if I could take the car just for the morning!

Peter: Okay!

Malia: Also, if you want I could go to the supermarket if you need any missing ingredients.

Peter: Are you sure about that because I don't mind going?

Malia: Well, unless you're going to someplace else than the supermarket.

Peter: I.. maybe!

Malia: Okay!

Peter: Do you need money?

Malia: No!

Peter: You sure?

Malia: Dad, if I need anything I would have asked for it?

Peter: I know! It's just...

Malia: Dad... you need to stop worrying so much about things.

Peter: Okay! Just make sure to give the keys to me when you return.

Malia: I will! Bye!

Seconds later she heads out of the guesthouse.

A little time later

It is about 11 a.m.

Malia is about to return back to the house when she runs into Cindy Harris.

Cindy: So, you're Peter's daughter?

Malia: Who are you?

Cindy: I'm Cindy Harris!

Malia: Oh, yes! My Dad has mentioned you!

Cindy: I hope it was good.

Malia: Yes(she lied)

Cindy: So, what do you think of Beacon Hills?

Malia: I like it.

Cindy: That's good!

Malia: I have to get going now!

Cindy: Before you go I need you talk to your Dad about something really important.

Malia: Which is?

Cindy: To ask Chris if he would ever consider going out with me again?

Malia is thinking to herself is this lady really serious?

Cindy: I just need to know if there's a possibility he might date me.

Malia: I will let my Dad know!

Cindy: Thank you!

Malia: Well, bye now!

Cindy: Bye!

Seconds later she heads off and Malia is thinking I wonder what my Dad will say when I bring it up.

It is about noon when Malia returns back to the house and she heads to the guesthouse.

Peter: I hate this!

Malia: Dad, I need to tell you something.

Peter: It is important?

Malia: Yes! I ran into a woman whose name is Cindy Harris.

Peter: Oh! (he says in a not so great tone)

Malia: She wants a favor from you.

Peter: About what?

Malia: To ask Chris if he would be interested in dating her!

Peter: I...

Malia: You don't have to do it.

Peter: I know... but

Malia: Dad, you don't owe her anything!

Peter: I know! It's just...

Malia: Just forget I said anything!

Peter: I can't forget! I could run into her!

Malia: Then lie!

Peter: You want me to lie about Chris not being interested in dating her right now.

Malia: Yes!

Peter: If I do that Chris isn't going to be happy it.

Malia: Probably but he will respect you because you're his friend.

Peter: Malia, can we change the subject?

Malia: Okay! How do you feel about being set up on a blind date?

Peter: I would hate it. Don't tell me you have set me up with someone already.

Malia: Would that be so bad if I did? (she lied)

Seconds later Cora appears.

Malia: Cora, let's go watch a movie!

Cora: Okay! Uncle Peter, what about you?

Peter: I have to go shopping! I'm cooking tonight!

Cora: Can I help?

Peter: I think that would be okay!

Cora: Thanks Uncle Peter!

Peter: Okay! I should get going!

Then he takes the keys from Malia and heads out to go shopping.

Time later

It is about 3:15 p.m.

As Peter is exiting the grocery store he sees Melissa seconds later.

Melissa: Hey!

Peter: Hey! You look great!

Melissa: Thanks! You look great too!

Peter: Thanks! So, Noah told me you two are dating?

Melissa: Yeah! It's going great! Noah mentioned to me that you and your daughter Malia are going to be in Beacon Hills for the summer.

Peter: Yeah! It's for work!

Melissa: That's good! The three of us could get together to do something.

Peter: That would be great!

Melissa: Cool! Well, see you later then!

Peter: Yeah! Bye!

Melissa: Bye!

Meanwhile at Hale Enterprise

Talia: So, I need a theme for the benefit.

Martin: Talia, any theme would be fine!

Talia: I know but I want it be something fun that the guests will really enjoy. I don't want to do something like a black and white ball.

Martin: Make a list of themes you like the most and then narrow it down to three.

Talia: Okay! We're leaving work early!

Martin: I understand!

Talia: I do wonder what Peter is going to make.

Martin: Talia, don't worry!

Talia: I know! I just guess that I've been used to doing things by myself ever since Peter left.

Martin: I have to go back to finishing something!

Talia: Okay! I might leave early!

Martin: If you do there is no need to tell me.

Talia: Okay!

Meanwhile Stiles is at the Police Station talking to his Dad.

Noah: Stiles, are you okay?

Stiles: I guess!

Noah: What happened?

Stiles: Derek and I have a date for tomorrow!

Noah: So, you finally did something about it?

Stiles was shocked when his Father said that because he didn't tell him it was Derek that he was interested in dating.

Noah: I've seen the way you look at him! You could have told me!

Stiles: I know! It's just I thought maybe you wouldn't approve of me and Derek dating!

Noah: Stiles, I just want you to be happy!

Stiles: Thanks Dad!

Noah: So, are you going to head home?

Stiles: I guess!

Noah: Okay! Bye!

A little time later

It is about 5:00 p.m.

Talia: Is there anything I can do to help?

Peter: Just set the table and make sure the condiments are on the table too.

Talia: Because if you need any help don't hesitate to ask.

Peter: I won't! So, when is Chris and Alisson coming at?

Talia: I think he mentioned about 7 p.m.

Peter: Okay!

Talia: Where is Malia?

Peter: She's watching a movie with Derek.

A little time later

It is about 6:35 p.m.

Peter is taking a break.

Malia: Are you sure you're not doing so much?

Peter: I'm trying not to!

Malia: So, does anything else need to be done?

Peter: Just cooking the sliders!

Malia: So, you made a lot of sides!

Peter: I wasn't planning to!

Malia: It's okay! I like that there is more choice selection to have.

Peter: Yes! Cora made the salads.

Malia: That's good! I liked that you made the corn bread!

Peter: I wasn't going to but thought maybe I should.

Malia: Maybe I should set the table!

Peter: Set it like a buffet.!

Malia: Okay!

About 7 p.m.

Chris and Allison are at the house.

Malia: Thanks for coming!

Allison: I made desserts!

Malia: I will take them in the kitchen! Does anything have to be put in the fridge?

Allison: No!

Then she hands them to Malia seconds later!

Chris: Where's your Dad?

Malia: Sitting down I hope!

Chris: Something happened to him? (he says in a concerned tone)

Malia: No! He's just spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking!

Chris: I'll go see how he's doing!

Malia: He's in the backyard!

Seconds later he hands to the backyard.

Peter is grilling the sliders when he sees Chris seconds later.

Chris: Hey

Peter: Hey!

Chris: So, are you overworking yourself right now?

Peter: No! Go get yourself a drink or something to munch on.

Chris: Okay!

Then he heads back inside and that is when he sees Talia.

Chris: Hey! So, Peter said to help myself to drink or a snack.

Talia: I'll get it for you. Do you want a beer?

Chris: No! Any kind of soda will be fine.

Talia: Okay!

Sometime later

It is about 9:00 p.m.

While everyone else is watching a movie Peter and Chris are outside sitting in the backyard.

Chris: What is going through your head right now?

Peter: I just...

Chris: We could go watch the movie!

Peter: No! There is something else I actually want to do.

Chris: Which is?

Then Peter thinks in his head of kissing Chris right now but because he's scared he instead says

Peter: Just staying out and just looking at the stars a little longer.

Chris: I'm okay with that!

Peter: Are you sure because you can go watch a movie with everyone else?

Chris: I mean I could but I've missed doing things with you.

Peter: I have too!

Chris: So, I was thinking that you and Malia come over to have dinner with me and Allison.

Peter: When?

Chris: Anytime next week!

Peter: I will let you know when!

Chris: Okay! So, tell me if you're dating someone?

Peter: No!

Chris: Why not?

In his mind Peter's answer is because anyone I have dated hasn't compared to you.

Chris: Any women would want you to go out with you if you asked them to.

Peter: Can we talk about something else?

Chris: Okay, but first I'm going to go grab a beer! You want one?

Peter: No! Bring me a soda instead!

Chris: Okay!

Seconds later he heads inside to get the drinks while Peter is thinking I wish I had said I want us to try being in a romantic relationship again. I want to see if maybe it will last. I want...

A few minutes later Chris returns with the drinks.

Peter: Are you happy?

Chris: Yes! Why would you think I'm not?

Peter: Because you're separated from your wife now!

Chris: I thought Victoria could make me happy but I was wrong. It was my decision to ask for the separation.

Peter was shocked because it thought it was Chris's wife that asked for the separation.

Chris: We didn't love each other!

When Peter heard that he was shocked because he didn't expect to hear that answer.

Chris: When we met in college I thought of her as a friend. One night we made a mistake by sleeping together. Because of that Victoria got pregnant and I married her because it was the right thing to do.

Peter: Why did you stay married to her for a long time?

Chris: Because of Allison! We wanted her to have both of her in our lives and so we may it seem we were happy together as a family.

Peter: Does Allison know this?

Chris: Yes! It wasn't easy to tell her but we felt she deserved to know the truth.

Peter: Why didn't she decide to live with her Mom?

Chris: Allison told me she and Victoria really don't get along. I think it really had to do with Allison being rebellious.

Peter had a smile on his face.

Chris: My daughter may be rebellious but it wasn't the way I was in high school.

Peter: Are you sure about that?

Chris: Yes!

Peter: Okay!

Sometime later

Christopher and Allison leave about 11:30 p.m.

After they leave Talia says something to Peter.

Talia: So, did anything happen between you and Chris?

Peter: No, but I thought of kissing him.

Talia: What stopped you

Peter: I want too! It's just...

Talia: You deserve to be happy Peter!

Peter: I do but maybe I'm more afraid that Gerald is going to do something to prevent me and Chris from being together.

Talia: If he tries to do anything I will do something about it.

Peter: No! It's not your problem to do deal with.

Talia: It is when it comes to my family.

Peter: I understand that but Gerald could do anything to destroy the company that you and Martin worked so hard to have.

Talia: Let him try!

Peter: I...

Talia: So, don't worry about what Gerald is going to do. Just focus on what makes you happy!

When Chris and Allison get back to the apartment it's only Allison that heads to her room to go to sleep while Chris is thinking of what might have happened earlier with Peter.

Chris: I should have told Peter that I had want us to date again but what if he decides he doesn't want to do that? I did hurt him by doing what my Father wants than choosing to be with him.

Meanwhile Gerald has just arrived in Beacon Hills.

Gerald: It's good to be back in Beacon Hills! First thing tomorrow I'm going to have a talk with Peter Hale!

Many hours later

It is Friday, July 30, 2011.

The time is 10 a.m.

Peter is in town when he runs into the one person he really didn't expect to run into.

Gerald: Hello Peter!
