Rainbow
He saw her today in her dreams.
She was looking fabulous in the rainbow tinted dress. Her cheeks were filled with colours (abir).
The moment he wanted to hold her hand, she disappeared. She disappeared into the thin air just like rainbows. She disappeared without leaving a trace.
Abhijeet woke up screaming "TARIKA" .His forehead was filled with sweat drops. He had a glass of water and layed back on his pillow.
He remembered the day when Tarika had left him.
Flashback:-
He was proof reading a case file when suddenly his phone rang. It was Dr. Salunkhe calling him. He had casually picked up the phone thinking it was about the recent case.
Jee Salunke sahab , bataiye.
Abhi …. Jeet (sobbing sounds)
Sir aap thik to hai na? Sir?
Abh-ijeet wo Ta-rik-a ko go-li lagi. Ci-ty hos-pit-al mein hai.
And the call was cut.
It was half an hour before Abhijeet reached the City Hospital.
He found all the team members present there. Freddy was continuously praying to god. Purvi's face was tear filled. The rest were trying to calm down Salunkhe.
Daya came and told that an old lady was about to get hit by a bullet but Tarika saw it. In order to save the old lady, she pushed the old lady aside and the bullet hit her hit instead.
Abhijeet broke down . The OT lights went off and the doctor came out. The members surrounded him.
Abhijeet:Batayie na dr. sab thik to hain na?
Salunkhe: Meri beti ko kuch hoga to nahi?
Dr: Dekhiye aaplok shant hojaiye. Khabar acchi nahi hai. Tarika aab is duniya mein or nahi maaf kar dijieh. Sorry.
Abhijeet rushed into the OT and saw Tarika sleeping peacefully ,sleeping forever.
Back to present
Tarika tum the meri who amanaat jise mein khoneke barime kabhi soch bhi nahi sakti thi or aaj tumko main kho chuki ho. Pata nahi bhagwan mujhe kis paap ke saza ke liye meri maa or tumko chin liya. Bhagwan na kare Daya ko mujshe na chine. Wohi ab mera ekmatra sahara hai.
Tarika you were,are and will remain my rainbow. Jise dekhne ke liye logo ke ankho taraste hain. Tarika you are my rainbow. Just as how fast a rainbow comes and goes, you entered my life suddenly and left suddenly. Tarika I know it is too late but still want to say, I love you, I love you Tarika, I love you. Now my life goes on just to see you in my dreams and to serve the country.
I will go to sleep now, Tarika tum ko dekhne ke liye.
Life must go on with heartbreaks. Life does not stop due to the loss of loved one.
