Annabeth pov

The ship stopped so abruptly I hardly noticed. Well that was because I was distracted. Running down the ladder as fast as I could without falling off. When I reached the ground, with Piper, Leo and Jason right behind me, I had eye contact with Percy and... He gulped. Why was he so nervous? My subconscious asked but I ignored it as my only goal was Percy reach him. I surged forward wrapping him in a bear hug as he patted my bag awkwardly.

"What's wrong?" I asked breaking away from him.

"Who are you? Someone from the crowd asked

"Um I'm Jason that's my girlfriend Piper, Leo and Annabeth." Said Jason pointing at each of us.

"Uh Hi. This is Reyna, my girlfriend, Hazel and Frank" Percy said Pointing at the girl with the same robe as his and a girl with curly hair and a boy that looked suspiciously like a big cuddly teddy bear. But I wasn't concentrated on that currently my mind was elsewhere.

"GIRLFREIND?!" I practically screamed. The crowd fell silent.

"Ye-Yeah" Percy said rubbing the back of his neck nervously. He did that when he was nervous.

"What did I just disappear into thin air"

"I-I'm sorry" said Percy suddenly interested in his shoes.

"SORRY? Sorry doesn't cut it Percy. Why did you leave me?" I said choking back tears.

"She was there for me when you weren't" He looked up sudden fresh anger in his eyes.

"She was there for you..." I said slowly a tear falling down my cheek.

"Yes, she was." Percy said not meeting my gaze.

"So, she was there for you in the tunnel of love when if we went when you said we would have become human pancakes. She Turned you back into a human when you were a guinea pig." Leo snickered but my glare shut him up "She was there for you when you didn't know how to defeat that giant, who was a son of Gaea, SHE TOOK A POISENED DAGER FOR YOU!" he winced. Maybe I was being harsh but I didn't care.

"Hey! I've saved you as many times as you've saved me. Like-like when you were holding up the sky. I saved no one else would have come for you." He said his eyebrows furrowing together. He was cute when he did that. Shut up Annabeth I scolded myself.

"What?! Thalia and Grover could have saved me!"

"They were there for Artemis." He stated.

"You arrogant piece of crap. I was there with Artemis they would have found me anyways I didn't need your heroism."

"Oh, I'm sorry I tried to do a good thing."

"I should have left you a guinea pig you would be better behaved then." Snickers fell across the crowd.

"I don't need you anyways."

He wasn't normally like that. How could he?

"Sorry" He said immediately looking guilty. "I didn't mean that"

I wiped a tear away from my cheek.

"I'm going to research the mark of Athena." I announced.

"Stay... Were still friends." Percy said his voice cracking.

I glared at him. "After all you've done you expect me to be friends with you? Imbecile"

"Go take your ego with you." He said dangerous flames visible in his eyes.

"Fine!" I crossed my arms.

"Fine!"

I turned on my heel and took off running for the Argo II.
