Percy's Pov:

After Annabeth came back crying everything went downhill from there. I didn't want to pressure her to tell me anything she didn't want to. I was trying to be a better person to her and become friends again. I'll admit I was curious but I didn't ask.

Annabeth and Piper went downstairs. Piper probably went to look in Katropis and Annabeth probably needed a nap.

A few minutes had gone by and we hadn't heard anything from Leo or Hazel. We were about to Iris message them when we saw them running towards us a few dozen angry nymphs following them. Leo and hazel had outrun them but not for long. Soon they would be harassed by the nymphs. Just as I had finished that thought a deep rumpling sound came from the ground and soon a giant wall made of stone rose up and put a barrier between Hazel, Leo and the Nymphs. Hazel and Leo quickly came onto the ship Leo running straight towards his Nintendo switch controller.

"What-" Frank started.

"No time to explain. Percy were headed towards the water. They won't be able to get us there and I'm sure they'll get past that wall soon." Just as Leo finished that sentence a handful of those Nymphs broke through the wall. Wonderful. "Percy, I need to you to give the ship a boost. It can't travel far flying maybe just enough to get us to the water. Annabeth and Piper are back right?" The ship lurched forward now airborne. Hazel clutched her stomach looking queasy.

"Yeah they're back." I got ready to use my powers. The ship flew forward and landed very bumpily into the water. I pulled a giant frothy blue wave out of the ocean and it propelled the ship forward. The sailed forward at a speed even the fixed Argo II couldn't reach. We had left the angry Nymphs behind that was good but I couldn't keep the ship sailing for long even if I was the son of Poseidon.

"Where do we go?" I asked Leo bringing the Argo II to a smooth sail.

"I'm going down stairs." Hazel said still clutching her stomach now looking green. Frank put his arm around her waist and led her downstairs. I turned to look at Leo expecting to have to break him out of his love triangle but instead he just looked sand and distant. I was glad I had Reyna, at least I wasn't alone.

"Where should we land?"

"Um." He tapped his map. "There should be a park somewhere North-west of here."

Line break

We were all huddled on deck so Leo could work and listen at the same time.

"So important questions delicious food." I said grinning. Piper glared at me trying to conceal her smile nonetheless. "Important questions first. CaptinMcShizzle why did you come back with Team Leo plastered on your forehead?"

"'Cos all the ladies love leo." Leo smirked.

"Raise your hand if you're a lady and you do not Love Leo." Annabeth said raising her hand. Hazel and Piper quickly joined.

Jason and Frank laughed.
"Ok so important questions aside." Leo quickly changed the subject. Piper raised her eyebrow at Leos statement.

"Wait, what happened at that Lake?" Frank asked curiously.

Leo and Hazel hastily explained that they had angered a bunch of Narcissus loving Nymphs while trying to steal his sheet of bronze at Salt Lake City.

"So where to now?" Jason asked, his food untouched. "Well we need to put some distance between us and Camp Jupiter."
"Why what happened?" Jason asked.

"I was iris messaging Reyna." I started Annabeth giving me a glare before looking at the floor sadly. "A group of demigods from camp came to Camp Jupiter. The started firing ballistae at Camp Jupiter. Octavian and the third cohort got them out but now they're convinced we sent them. After that I IMed Camp Half-blood. Chiron said those campers were out on a quest apparently they didn't know they did it but they did."

Leo suddenly looked scared. "Like the Eildon's that possessed me?"

"I think. Frank spotted some eagles over Salt Lake City. We figure the Romans aren't far behind us."

That made the mood on the deck gloomier.

"Maybe we could explain that it wasn't our fault. Those Eildon's are clearly Gaia's." Piper said.

"We don't have any proof." Annabeth countered. "And no idea what really happened. The Eildon's are a good assumption but we have no way to know for sure. I really appreciate what you're saying, Pipes. I don't want the Romans on our bad side, but, until we understand trying to explain is literally suicide."

"She's right." Hazel said, still looking queasy. "Reyna might listen but Octavian won't. Reyna wasn't actually there when they attacked so even if she is Praetor, they'll have to take Octavian's word. They've been attacked. They'll shoot first and ask questions posthac."

"You're right," Piper decided. "We have to keep going. Not just because of the Romans. We have to hurry."

Hazel nodded. "Nemesis said we have only six days until Nico dies and Rome is destroyed."

Jason frowned. "You mean Rome Rome, not New Rome?"

"I think," Hazel said. "But, if so, that's not much time."

"Why six days?" I wondered. "And how are they going to destroy Rome?"

"Theres more," Piper said looking guilty. "Ive seen some things in my knife."

"Like..." Frank asked waving his fork of spaghetti In the air.

"Like twin giants."

"Twins like ellas prophecy." Annabeth said "If we could figure out those lines maybe it could help."

"Wisdoms daughter walks alone," I said suddenly fearing my life. Annabeth could be scary. That's all I need to say. "The Mark of Athena burns through Rome. Annabeth that's got to mean you. Juno said you had a hard task ahead of you. She doubted you could do it. But I believe in you."

Annabeth's eyes shone with either amusement or pride I wasn't sure.

"We'll need the God's help figuring out this prophecy. Giants bane stands gold and pale. We can't defeat the giants without a God." Piper said.

"So," Leo started. "First things first, I guess. We'll have to finish repairs in the engine room tomorrow."

"We need to go somplace close to a city," Annabeth suggested. "In case we need supplie. But somwhere out of thw way, so the Romans will have trouble finding us. Any ideas?"

"Well," Piper ventured. "How do you feel about Kansas?"

"I'll put that into the map. We'll be In Kansas tomorrow." Leo said pushing his chair back. Kansas here we come.

A/N: Sorry for the repetitive chapter, I had to take a lot of text from the real book of the Mark of Athena. Next chapter will skip to after Percy and Jason get knocked out. But it will be in Annabeth's pov sorry. What can I say? It is what is. I might try to update again today. Bye! Also I didn't read this back because I'm lazy so sorry for any mistakes of any kind.
