A/N: Hello! Um so I don't have many ideas for the next few chapters. I think I'll end this fanfic when they are falling just like Mr. Riordan :). Anyways this may be a short chapter I guess idk? Also as I am a female I suck at boy talk. Is that a stereotype? Idk. Please Bare with me this chapter. Also this is after they've come back from Atlanta and before they have another "meeting".Enjoy!
Jason pov:
I stormed into Percy's room unannounced, like he'd done to me so many times before.
"Hi bro." I said taking a seat on his desk immediately starting to play with an isolated rubiks cube on his mess desk. Percy was sprawled across the bed playing with one of his many fidget cubes.
"Hey." He replied looking distracted.
"So..." I began. " I heard you broke up with Reyna."
Percy choked and almost fell of his bed which led to me laughing and Percy ferociously glaring at me.
"Who told you that?!" He practically screamed.
"Dude calm down." I said. "No one I overheard your IM call to hear in the mess hall." It was true I wasn't exactly eavesdropping. I was eating pasta and I could hear everything as Percy's room is right next to the mess hall. I heard Reyna threatening to drown Percy and then realise what she said and then leave. It was actually very amusing. Though not too great for our quest considering she was praetor and all that.
"Dam it." He scowled. "If you tell anyone I will behead you."
"Fine I'm not much for gossip but it's going to get to annabeth anyways."
"What do you mean?" He asked finally getting up off the floor.
I pointed to the west wall that was connected to the mess hall. "They're all in there waiting for you and frank." After Percy, Frank and coach hedge came back from Atlanta they had all promptly passed out. Leo had gone to get frank and I went to get percy. I had decided this would be the best way to uh get him up...give him and annabeth a little nudge.
"Run grace." Was all he said. And I'll have you know I did follow his instructions. I ran out of his room and into the mess hall, skidding Into my seat besides piper and annabeth.
(A/N they've just finished telling eachother what happened and everything I've kinda changed the story.)
Annabeths pov 3rd person:
"Ok..we should be ok Charleston soon. I sent Buford to throw them off of our scent." Said Leo rushing Away to go fix something in the engine room. Annabeth was the next person to disappear from the room. She went outside wanting to be alone with her thoughts for a while but not wanting too all the same. It had become late outside the moon was shining bright in the sky with the other dozens of stars a beautiful sight to gaze at. Annabeth walked over to the railing and stared at the constellations of the great bear and the hero...Zoë Nightshade dancing through the stars her bow and arrow at her disposal. So many memories came back at the constellation of Zoë. Annabeth remembered her wanting to join the hunters and Percy stopping her. She remembered falling into Luke's trap, getting betrayed by him and being forced to hold up the sky. Without realising it annabeth reaches up to the touch the now faded grey streak of hair wrapped inside of her bun.
"Remembering that year aswell huh?" Said a familiar voice. She dropped her hand from her hair and turned to look at the silhouette beside her. Percy Jackson. "Yeah remembering when my mum voted to kill you because you were 'dangerous'" Annabeth lied. Percy bumped her shoulder with his. "Come on wise girl I know somethings up." He turned to look at her as did she. They were standing face to face now and annabeth could see his features clearly. He looked like he had before he'd been taken away...before life had gotten 10 times more complicated...
Percy cupped Annabeth's face in his hands. His touch was warm and comforting and reassuring. "You can tell me anything." Annabeth looked up to stare into Percy's eyes. His eyes were sea green and nothing but trustworthy and kind and sweet.
"Well back then everything was way more..." Her voice trailing off.
"Simple?" Percy offered.
"Simple." Annabeth nodded in agreement. "We weren't worrying about fighting evil grandparents, we didn't have one of our friends stuck in a jar dying day by day, we weren't at the brink of death every 5 seconds and we didn't have an evil roman camp trying to kill us."
"Well on the bright side as soon as we pass the Mediterranean the Romans' can't follow us. And we're getting closer and closer to saving Nico. And we will annabeth i promise"
Annabeth looked into Percy's eyes again but this time being met with hopefulness of reassurance. He wanted to be reassured that what he was saying was right and truthful and he wasn't lying to her because annabeth knew that was the last thing he wanted right now. But even as much as she wanted it she couldn't give it to him. Not today.
"Don't make promises you can't make Percy." Annabeth rushes to change the subject after seeing Percy's dejected face. "So I heard you broke up with Reyna."
"I may of." Percy's Said brining out that trouble maker smile annabeth loved so.
"Mhm?"
Percy shifted his hands from annabeths face to her waist.
"Mhm." Was all Percy said in reply.
"Oh yeah? Why?" Annabeth looped her hands around Percy's neck.
"For a special someone."
"Who's that special someone may I ask?" Annabeth was now grinning along with Percy the moon making his hair a silver.
"You."
He brought his face down his lips meeting hers. It was like something pulled out of fairy tale: "a midnight kiss to wake the princess from her slumber".
Percy's pov 3rd person:
Percy and annabeth broke away from eachother and he looked down at her. Her cheeks, lips and nose were an adorable pink and her here tied up in a bun was a beautiful gold colour. Her eyes as grey as the stars above them glittered and shined with exhilaration and love. But there was also a questionable look in her eyes that was so small no one but Percy would've noticed. Percy brushed it off as to be something else. Her hands were still entwined behind his neck Annabeth's thumbs brushing his hair at his nape.
"Woahhh. Lovey dovey moment. Alert Aphrodite is working her magic!" Said a voice coming from some where near the pair. Percy and annabeth hurriedly disentangled themselves from eachother hurriedly both blushing bright read.
"Leo! How long have you been standing there?!" Asked annabeth a strand of hair falling into her face. Percy longed to push it away.
"Just arrived to see you all over eachother." Leo bend down to pick up a wrench. "Don't worry continue your business I'm going back to work on the engine room." He turned around and began walking away looking over his shoulder at annabeth and winking at her whispering something Percy couldn't make out.
Annabeths Pov:
"Go get em girl!" Leo whispered and walked away. Percy and annabeth turned back to look at eachother. He pushed away strand of hair that had fallen into her face earlier.
"We should go to bed wise girl." Percy Said.
"Percy.." annabeth whispered. "I'm not ready." Percy nodded as if he understood.
"Whenever you're ready wise girl. I'll wait for you. Always." He kissed her forehead and left leaving annabeth alone on the deck.
A/N: yeah uh some percabeth fluff for you. I go back to school in September so I'll try to update more. But uh safe to say I threw up about 8 times during this chapter but yeah. I didn't read this back so sorry for mistakes. Oh and when annabeth says she isn't ready she doesn't want a relationship with Percy...yet. :) bye!
