As Luz laid in the rubble of a destroyed house, her mind had started to drift off deep into her subconscious.

"Where am I?" asked Luz as she looked around at a dark and empty space.

"Your subconscious," said a voice from behind her.

"Azura?" asked Luz as she turned around to face the witch who had the only light in the entire place.

"Why so surprised, this is your mind after all," said Azura.

"Valid point; wait, am I dead?" asked Luz as she went from happy to see Azura to terrified in an instant.

"Not quit, but your soul has been damaged thanks to the attack from Beelzebub," said Azura.

"Guess I'll always be a failure," said Luz as she sat down.

"Hey, don't be so hard on yourself, you're the first human to learn magic in a long time!" said Azura with a cheerful smile.

"What good does that do for me when I can't protect those I care for?" asked Luz.

"Luz, it's not like you to give up," said Azura.

"What else is there for me to do, my soul's damaged, I'll probably be dead soon anyway," said Luz.

"Just because something is damaged does not mean it can't be fixed, just think about something that makes you happy," said Azura while placing a hand on Luz's shoulder.

"That's easy," said Luz with a smile. A bright light then formed around them, Amity and all of Luz's friends and family appearing in it.

"Well done, Luz, now wake up," said Azura into the younger girl's ear. Back in the real world, Beelzebub had King and the others captured.

"Now then, time to end this," said Beelzebub as he held one leg above King's head. Suddenly, a tower of energy shut into the sky from behind him which took everyone's attention.
