Kagome blinked once, then twice, "Mate, with, you?" She said slowly as a bright blush graced her face.

"Sesshomaru!"

Sesshomaru stood straight, bringing Kagome back to a sitting position and let her go. "Inuyasha," He said, slowly turning to face his half brother.

The half-demon showed his fangs, "I should have known you would come, what you smell the jewel too?"

"I have no use for the jewel unlike you half breed,"

"Then what are you here for?"

"I quiet missed you as well, little brother,"

Kagome gasped and stood, "Your brothers?" She looked up at Sesshomaru,

"Half brothers!" Inuyasha bit out,

Kagome looked back at Inuyasha, "Half?"

Inuyasha lost a little of his anger as it was replaced by slight embarrassment. Now that she thought about it, the demon woman did say something about a half-demon with half power. But to Kagome, Inuyasha was powerful enough.

"He had a human for a mother," Sesshomaru stated,

"Shut up!" Inuyasha yelled,

Sesshomaru looked down "Half-human, half-demon,"

Inuyasha lunged but was easily block, and Kagome could not believe her eyes. It was effortless from this males part. Just a flick of his wrist and Inuyasha had been sent flying.

"Kagome, get away from him," Inuyasha yelled pulling himself out of the dirt,

He was ignored by Sesshomaru "You possess the jewel,"

Kagome stepped away,

"You are in danger,"

"Like you care!" Inuyasha stood up. "The only danger she is in is being to close to you!"

"Says the man who tried to kill me," Kagome stated under her breath,

Inuyasha sputtered, and Sesshomaru rose an eyebrow,

"Yeah but he will actually kill you," He started taking eyes of himself,

"She is no use to me dead,"

"What did you say?" Inuyasha asked darkly; he did not like the sound of that. But before anyone could say anything else, Jaken came through the tree lines, staff wailing in hand.

"My Lord!" He cried, "The staff!"

Sesshoamru plucked the staff from his hand as it cried and narrowed his eyes "Seen yet never seen, protected yet never known by its protector,"

"Eyes," Kagome said thoughtfully out loud.

Sesshomaru looked back at her; then, it was as if a lightbulb went off, and he turned his cold eyes to his brother. No wonder the damn thing started crying just recently after being silent for so long.

"The fuck are you looking at?" Inuyasha huffed, but in a blink, he found his neck held tight and his brother at his face. "Of course, father is rather wise," He held out the staff for Jaken to take back and then with Amazement and fear, Kagome watched as a stream of hot blue power came from the demon males claws like it was just a natural thing for him to do.

Inuyasha screamed in pain, and Kagome wanted to help, but what could she do? She covered her gasp as all at once, a black pearl that was Inuyasha's pupil was remove.

"Leave it to father to leave it to you," He released Inuyasha, who once again fell to the dirt.

Sesshomaru studied the pearl, and Kagome found a bit of her voice "What, is it?" She asked carefully, trying not to draw to much attention back to herself; maybe he had forgotten the whole mating thing.

"A gateway to my birthright,"

"What the fuck are you talking about!" Inuyasha huffed, holding his eye.

Sesshomaru dropped the pearl, and Jaken brought down the staff. It screamed, the portal opened, and with a blink, the demon Lord was gone. Kagome stepped closer to the portal. "We should probably go after him,"

"What do you mean we?!" He asked jumping up,

"He took that out of your eye, didnt he say your dad put it there?"

"So what!" This girl didnt make any sense to him.

"So we should go,"

"I dont understand this we stuff; haven't you already been almost killed like three times!"

But Kagome wasn't listening; she was already halfway through the portal, "You coming?"

She vanished, and Inuyasha cursed the Gods as he to jumped in, "Stupid girl, I'm not saving her!"
